Liallia turned and offered a stressed smile as her eyes followed Malphas' hand. "Sounds good," A sudden thought brightened her face a shade. "Does this mean free drinks on the house?" She joked, laughing quietly. Her hand did go to her coin purse and she calculated in her head how much she had left. Too much. Good.

The vampire shrugged.
"Aw, what the hell. Sure! Free drinks tonight only!"
He laughed loudly before going behind the counter and prepping a few glasses.
"So, what'll you be having?"
He leaned onto the counter, getting a good look at Liallia.
"Hey, you alright?"

"Can you not feel it?" Liallia asked, moving to the bar. She laid her hand on the table and indicated to the the three veins of black that ran across it. "The darkness is slowly corrupting my elemental pathways. I fear..." She trailed off with a small sigh, shaking her head. "But then again, this does not just involve me does it?" She retracted her hand. "If this darkness is to spread, then what is to say anything can stop it?"

He grimaced slightly, leaning closer to better examine the veins. After a moment, he looked back up and shook his head.
"Well, considering that this entire realm is a land of darkness, anything that furthers that power will only continue to amplify."
He looked around carefully before beginning again in a hushed tone.
"Word is, this isn't the only land to be affected. This darkness is going to start creeping it's way into all of the realms. Probably won't stop until everything has been corrupted."

Panic flickered into Liallia's eyes and a shudder crept up her spine. "No, that can't possibly be," She said quietly. Her land was in such a state of chaos, such a state of unbalance, it would fall quickly, and with it the terrible powers hidden within. "Is there no way to stop it?" She asked, looking up from her clenched hands.

Malphas shook his head.
"Not if Nyx is behind it. Not unless there is something out there with her level of power."
He shuddered before grabbing a bottle of wine and pouring it into a few waiting glasses.
"In any case, darkness isn't so bad. Heck, it's a lot better than the light."

"You don't understand!" Liallia hissed, her face narrowing with anger. A blank look swept across her face before she gasped slightly. "I-I'm sorry, forgive me," She said quietly while looking at her hands. "She will undo my world, grant death to everyone there. I need to stop her," She said. "If it is the last thing I do...Hell, it probably will be the last thing I do, I want to stop her," She examined her hand and the darkened veins. "I will not let a realm that has long suffered under my rule die while I sit and do nothing,"

Malphas stood there for a few minutes, rather stunned by the suddenness of her outburst. Finally shaking this off, he pushed one of the glasses to her while taking up one of the others and downing the contents.
"Hey, don't worry about it so much. You are entitled to be upset. Probably everyone is going to be upset when it all breaks loose."
He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.
"I'll probably have a few words for her as well if this place comes down. I mean, I just bought the bloody place. Just don't go dying out there."

"I'm dead any way that you look at it," Liallia said rather glumly, finishing her previous wine and taking a glass. She stared into the bottom of the glass for a moment before downing it, closing her eyes.
