Meeting the Brothers
"What the hell?!" It was the first words to escape from either of the two teenagers, Ter who moved a lot faster in his response time then his older brother. The other could only stare for the moment. Both had been introduced to the little girl that was sitting down on the couch watching them with wide lavender eyes, eyes that got far wider at the word 'hell'.
"Ah! H-He said hell..." She breathed, sounding in shock as though those words weren't supposed to be said by anyone and most definitely not by younger people!
Ter's eyes narrowed as he turned to look at the girl, "And you just said hell as well." He informed her.
She starred up at Ter and then squeaked, hands covering her mouth in shock when it was pointed out to her that she said the bad word as well. She hadn't meant to said it. She turned her worried eyes to look at her new Daddy as though he were afriad that the mere fact that she had said such a bad word would upset him.
"Ter! Do you see what your teaching her already?" Ligeia squeaked, his dark eyes going wide before he moved to kneel down in front of the little sister that had come into their family suddenly and yet he was already smitten. The idea of having a little sibling that was sweet and cute easily winning him over, "Hello there, my name is Ligeia."
Purple eyes went from worried to soft when she looked at her pretty, oldest brother and reached out to run a fingertip over the freckles on his cheek, "My name is... Ma... Mar..." She looked over at Orpheus for help.
"Maria." He told her, giving her a soft smile. The children were given asigned numbers, Ligeia for example was AV01. As such she had been in need of a true name, the one he'd picked for her was Maria, it meant 'beloved' or 'loved' a name he thought would be perfect for her, to show that she was truly wanted by the family, "Don't mind Ter, he has a bit of... a colorful vocabulary." He glanced over at the snake boy.
Ter gave a snort then a shrug, "Pft, not like anyone cares if I say a curse here or there." He said then looked at Maria, "You should remember that too, our Dad doesn't care."
"Ter!" Ligeia squeaked again, "Don't listen to him."
Maria couldn't help but stare at her brothers in rapt fascination, they were... not at all what she expected when she heard she was getting a pair of brothers. She wasn't exactly sure what she had been thinking she would get but not this... not that they were bad, they were very, very interesting. She couldn't help but like them both. The one with the scales that was called 'Ter' seemed to be so... daring! While Ligeia was so gentle and pretty and made her want to hug him, she couldn't help but clap her little hands in a delighted manner completely awed.
As Ter and Ligeia spoke to one another about who their sister should or shouldn't listen to her purple eyes turned to look over at the other two figures in the room, ones that seemed to fill the place. There was a large blue one with four legs, two wings, shiny scales, and a fluffy mane while the other was a brown similar to her own scales, two legs, two wings, and a lot of spines! The answer came to her in a snap, "Dragons." She breathed, turning on the couch and climbed up onto the back of the couch where she could get a better look at the pair. She knew dragons, she seen one of them before a luminous silver scaled beauty with shining golden eyes.
Both Vorel and Baroness turned their heads to look at the little girl, starring at her... they seemed to understand that this girl was different then some of the other students. This one wasn't here for a visit, wasn't here for a class... she was staying and both were a bit curious about her appearance.
The little girl turned to look up at her Daddy and two brothers with wide, hopeful eyes before she turned to point at the dragons, "Please?" She murmured to them, wanting to meet the two dragons.

Helping to Color
Both Ligeia and Ter recognized the pictures when they saw them sitting on the coffee table along with a large box of crayons for Maria. They had both, once upon a time ago, done the same papers, colored in the same numbers and letters to help them to learn their ABCs and 123s, it was because of this that both of them ended up drifting over to watch the process.
Ter coiled up in front of of the coffee table while Ligeia sat down on the couch.
Maria looked up from her coloring and then picked up the paper she was working to show it to them, "The 'S' has a snake on it like you Teri!" She said, her long tail curling and uncurling in delight. She set it down then held up the paper that she hadn't started on yet, "And Li is on the numbers paper, see? Owl!" She sounded so excited that both of her brothers were so famous that they were on her coloring papers!
Ter gave a little laugh, "Yeah, what do know. Colored like me too." He said, looking at how she had done the snake brown despite a lot of the other things on the pages she'd done so far being pinks and purples.
"Yep, yep." She chirped then tapped the owl, "Gonna leave this white so looks like Li." She explained to her doting over brothers, wanting them to know about her plan so they didn't think she skipped the owl when she got to the numbers page.
Ligeia gave a little smile, "Nice job so far." He said, she was trying her hardest to stay in the lines though it seemed the crayons got away from her here and there, not bad for someone her age though.
"Yeah, your quite the artist." Ter added, not about to get beaten by Ligeia even in the world of compliments.
Ligeia looked over at him for a long moment, guessing what he was up to but didn't rise to his challenge.
"Mmm... ok! Done." Maria said happily, setting the second letters page next to the first and she looked them over for a long moment, "Can't color Z... Zebras are supposed ta be white n black." She told her brothers before she looked her crayons over, picking up a well loved and often used pink and started to color the numbers.
"You really like pink, huh?" Ter asked, finding the color to be a bit girly but... to call Maria girly wouldn't have the same effect as it did when he called Ligeia girly.
Maria nodded, "My favoritest color is Pink... or Purple..." She looked over at purple and traded the pink she was using for it. She didn't know yet which was her MOST favorite, didn't think she could decide between them since they were both so pretty!
"What is Teri and Li's favoritests?" She asked, not looking up, intently coloring one of the numbers.
"Dark red for me." Ter said, giving a smile, "Or a certain shade of green that is on my girlfriend." The end of his tail twitched in delight at the thought of Z.
Maria smiled, "And Li?"
"Blue." He said, "Though I guess there is a color of purple I like too." The color of the scarf that Chath had gotten for him a long while ago. At the thought of the newt he started to fiddle with the silver bracelet he was once again wearing.
Maria paused looking at first Ter then Ligeia and gave a little giggle, "Thinking of Z and Chat?" She asked, knowing the dreamy looks for what they were, having seen them many times before and she'd asked about them on a couple of occasions.
The two blinked and shook their heads to clear their thoughts, "Ahhh... yeah." Both said in unison then looked down at the picture in front of their sister, wanting to see what she was up to and to get their minds off their significant others. For the moment their attention was supposed to belong to their baby sister after all.
"Almost done! Wanna show then to Daddy when I am." She said, continuing to color as though nothing were unusual, quite used to her brothers in all of their moods both good and bad by now... though she preferred them as they were now, happy as opposed to the times they argued... usually about the most silly things...
Despite their liking to argue though she knew that they loved each other and they loved Daddy, and they loved her, and they loved their dragons so she was happy and content.

WorksheetLigeia looked over the paper in front of him, debating over what was before him and chewed on his lower lip in a thoughtful manner. The first question asked him to circle the things that went into the First Aid Kit. He had to debate over it as he could see uses for all of the items that were there in front of him on the paper but... it was asking what would be in the kit itself. The kits he recalled were rather small, weren't they? He set to circling the items on the paper slowly leaving out the pillow, pencil, candy, and the scarf though he was sure if they were on hand when someone was hurt some of them could be rather useful in helping to treat someone or distract someone. "Next question." He murmured, chewing on the back of his pen as he read it over. How would you treat a scraped knee it was asking. He looked over the answers and had to debate on two of them. He wondered how bad of a scrape it was... he wanted to ask questions but it was a bring home test so he read over the answers and guessed that it wasn't to bad an injury, "I would say... D" He murmured, "Alright... what's next...?" If someone had a sprained ankle, what would you do?The owl read over the answers that were there on the paper in front of him. He looked thoughtful at it before he gave a thoughtful sound, "I think... it would be D too." He said wrapping it to help it heal and ice to keep down the swelling... right? He wasn't sure but that was what sounded right to him. Onto the next question he thought reading it over. If someone was bleeding, what would you use to protect yourself from the blood? He looked over the answers... at least this one was pretty easy to figure out at least he thought to himself, "That would be C." He said as he circled the answer and moved onto the next and final question that was on the paper before him. If someone has heat exhaustion, which has symptoms of sweating, nausea, dilated pupils, and vomiting, how would you treat it?The question caused the owl to go rather wide eyed in shock. Wait... what? He read over the symptoms again and looked rather unsure. Shouldn't someone presenting with stuff like that go to a real doctor? Or was this asking what he would do until they could get to a doctor...? He chewed on his pen once again as he read over the answers, "Probably... D for this." He wasn't sure about treating such a thing on his own but all of the answers above were ways of helping to cool a person off. He did wondered though since he'd answered most things with D did that mean he was being overly cautious by treating everything in multiple ways. He wasn't sure but if he were going to help take care of someone he wanted to be able to do his best at it. He gave his paper one more look over before rising to his feet and stepped away from his desk, "Come on Vorel, let's go drop this off with the teacher." He called to the Frost who had been listening over the entire time, the reason for Ligeia reading and answering out loud. Vorel was on his feet in an instant, following after the owl as they left to drop off their homework.

Magic Practice
(( Min-req version of the final Magic Class Part 1 ))
For what had to be the first time in a while Ligeia and Vorel were on their own, heading up to one of the Terrain Rooms so that the owl boy could work on his magic skills. He wanted to work in a place that he knew would be safe to practice without having to worry about anyone else being nearby other then Vorel who was pretty tough and mostly immune to his spells since he used the same element in his breath weapon.
"I wonder what we should work on today." Ligeia murmured as they headed into one of the classrooms, the one with the freshwater pool in it. It had plenty of water in it that would give him a lot of that element to work with. He wanted to work on the use of ice and not as much the summoning of it.
Vorel trotted along next to him, turning to look over at the owl as he spoke before the dragon seemed to be debating over what it was that the owl should work on. As they stepped into the classroom he seemed to space off on what they should be doing and instead started over toward the pool, speeding up as he got closer and then lunged forward... and splashed down into the deep end of the pool.
Ligeia blinked a couple times before he walked over to the edge of the pool and and looked down into the watched as his partner swam about through the water. He blinked a couple of times before he knelt down next tot he pool and reached out to run a fingertip along the surface of the water, watching as it froze over under his touch. He blinked a couple times before a thought came to mind, "I wonder..." He murmured to himself as he pushed to his feet and reached a foot out touch it against the water and concentrated on the water and after a moment it froze under his foot.
He gave a grin and flapped his wings rapidly to keep himself up right as he lowered his second foot down to the water and let it freeze under that foot too. He gave a bright smile as he found himself standing on the surface of the water, "Look! Look Vorel! I can water walk!" He called through the water at the Frost dragon that was swimming around under him. It seemed to be a rather bad idea as a moment later the dragon was breaking the surface to come and see what his boy had done that he was so proud of.
The moment he broke the surface it caused a wave that broke the delicate concentration that Ligeia held. He flailed his arms and wings before he fell over backwards with a bit splash as he went under. The owl flailed about under the water until Vorel swam up under him and pushed up so that he was able to surface and breath again, "Ligeia?! Is ok?" The Frost gasped, shocked over accidentally knocking his owl over into the water and looked quite worried that he might have gotten hurt.
Ligeia had a coughing fit as he rid himself of the water that he'd breathed in before looking down at Vorel, "Ahh... yes... I'm alright." He patted a hand against the dragon's head before looking across the water, "Bad idea... water walking without being able to swim..." It would seem that even he had bad ideas from time to time.
"Other magics then." Vorel told his boy with a nod, not wanting him to practice something so dangerous as walking on water if he weren't able to save himself from it if he fell in. He moved to swim over to the edge of the pool to let the owl climb off onto the edge.
"Yeah, probably the best thing I can do right now." He said as he rose to his feet nad set to shedding his soaked, dripping clothing down to his shorts and laid it out over the branches of a nearby tree that was growing in the terrain room. He lifted his hands up to squeeze out his long hair before turning back to the pool, "Alright, let's try this again."

Magic Practice 2
When Ligeia had his hair squeezed free of as much of the water as he could get from it he tossed it over his shoulder and settled down next to the edge of the pool. He looked across the water, watching Vorel who was swimming around in the pool though he was watching back now. He must be worried, thinking that Ligeia might fall into the pool again or something... he reached his hands out to lay them against the surface of the pool and lifted it up slowly with two large spheres of water. He turned them over to rest in his hands, letting them freeze over in his hands. It was easier to cause things to freeze over like this... that other spell had been far more complicated and tough.
It had been amazing for the short amount of time that he had been able to keep it going but at the same time it was a bit tiring wasn't it? He needed to see about doing more activities that would help him to up his stamina so that he would be able to maintain his spells for longer periods of time. He did some exercise, running and the like, with Chath but maybe he had to start to do more on his own?
"Hey, Vorel. What do you think about starting to do more running?" He called to the dragon. The two of them seemed to more often go out flying but it was a lot easier to catch some air currents and ride them from place to place then it would be to walk from place to place. He chewed on his lower lip in a thoughtful manner. It would take a lot more time but... it wouldn't be so bad he thought to himself. They would need to bring along bottles of water and other items that they would need for long walks from place to place he figured.
Vorel swam over to where Ligeia was, putting his front feet on the edge of the pool and lifted up so that he could steal one of the ice sphere, crunching down on the frozen ball, "Could go walking." He agreed, nodding his head, wings giving a flap. He didn't mind walking or running or flying or swimming... he'd do anything if it meant doing it with his owl. His tail set to wagging behind him before he pulled himself up onto the ground and flopped down next to his partner and nuzzled against him.
Ligeia stuck his tongue out at the dragon before he looked down at the remaining ice sphere. He laid his other hand against it and slowly spread his hands apart changing the form of it from a ball into a staff instead. He gave a smile before he moved his hands again. A spider web of cracks ran along the staff before it shattered into shards that floated around his hands. He spread his fingers and let them spin around his hands quickly before he lifted on hand to let them go flying forward into the water.
They landed with a series of little splashes and he gave a smile, "I getting better with my aim." He told the Frost dragon though Vorel seemed more interested in the idea of them going walking then he was in how good his owl was getting at aiming with the ice shards. The owl boy gave a smile as he turned his hand again, cupping his palm and the remaining shards returned to it in one sphere... then with a splash returned to their original element of water. He let the liquid fall from his hand and back into the pool before he leaned back against Vorel, "Let me rest up, alright? Then I will grab some dry clothing before we head out on walk? Sound good?"
Vorel gave a nod of his head, moving one wing to wrap it around Ligeia in an affectionate manner and let him rest though the dragon's tail was wagging behind him, an eager motion that showed how much he wanted them to leave right then... but he wouldn't push for them to go until Ligeia was feeling up to it. Until then he would behave and guard his boy carefully... he couldn't have him falling in the pool again while he was napping after all.

Swimming Lessons
(( Watch Out: Boys Kissing. ))
Geia looked across the pool in a thoughtful manner, sizing up the distance between one side of the pool and the other. Going the short way would be the best way to start this... he also told Vorel to stay on edge of the pool and out of the water. If the water stayed calm he should be able to do this... he'd only fallen in the first time because Vorel came up out of the water and knocked him in.
Not that he would ever tell the Frost that since he was already pacing back and forth at the other side of the pool, awaiting the worst...
Geia open his wings up, giving them a flap before he reached one bare, fluffy foot out to rest it on the surface of the water and slowly but surely the ice appeared under his foot. He gave a flap of his wings as he stepped out with the second food, and flailed his arms to maintain his balance, "Ah! Look, Vorel! I got it!" He called out, standing letting himself steady out and the ice that he stood on spread a bit giving him a better perch.... okay... he could stand on the water... now for the next step... which would also be his first step from ice to ice... he lifted a foot moving it forward and the moment it touched the water it froze over under it.
The owl felt his heart skip a beat as he move to take the next step... the ice formed under his foot but ended up a bit to thin, shattered even under his light weight and there was a giant splash as once more Ligeia ended up in the pool.
Chath and Keir had come to the pool mostly for a change in scenery, Chath himself was getting tired of the same old routine of battling it out ni the backyard and honestly...he wanted to swim. Keir on the other hand though this a good chance to practice his attacks on the newt boy just like at his last lesson. He stepped into the pool area a towel draped across his shoulders when he noticed at first the large shape of Vorel, his gaze then flickered around the room to find the boy who was undoubtedly with him. His boyfriend Ligeia. He spotting him...floating? A few feet from the edge of the pool, he gaped a bit not noticing the ice under his feet. Raising a hand to say something to the owl boy his words were chocked in his throat as suddenly the boy plunged into the water.
Alarmed he tossed his towel to the ground and rushed forward, diving into the pool seamlessly. Even if Geia wasn't in trouble it didn't hurt to act quickly. The second lens dropped over his eyes to protect it from the water and he looked around for the owl hoping against all hope that Geia was already swimming to the edge. He couldn't recall if the owl could swim or not.
Keir on the other hand moved to the edge of the pool to watch the going ons. Great...the blue one was here which meant that Chath's mate was here....wonderful..no training was going to get done at all today.
Vorel had been about to dive into the water when.. something else was suddenly diving into the water instead. He starred, wide eyed before he lifted his gaze over to where Keir was. Vorel relaxed then, it was Chath that had gone into the water which meant that Ligeia would be fine. The newt would take good care of his mate after all. None the less the frost watched the water closely, just in case the newt were to slow...
Geia gave a mental curse as he found himself sinking into the water once more and set to using his arms, legs, and wings to attempt to right himself in the water though he was really... bad at swimming, many limbs and none of them very coordinated it would seem. He wasn't the deepest part of the pool but even being able to right himself and find the bottom was proving a little tough... he was sure that Vorel would help him if he ended up in a lot of trouble though so he wasn't as worried as he should be.
Chath spotted him quickly enough and though he was flailing about he didn't look as if he was...drowning yet. Using his tail to propel himself forward he may not ever be as fast as a dolphin based child but it would do well enough.
Soon he was beside Geia and he reached forward using his hands to grab the owls arm to help right him and lead him up towards the surface. He noticed though the owl weighted...a LOT. The soaked feathers and hair was dragging him down. Slipping in closer he wrapped an arm around Geia's waist. And with a thrust of his tail helped to move the boy to the surface. The owl boy was... a bit surprised when he felt someone catching hold of his arm, dragging him up toward the surface. His eyes went wide when he realized who was there and half wondered if he had been under the water to long and started to hallucinate? He started to kick his feet as they moved toward the surface to help bring himself upward and gave a gasp and a cough as they broke the surface of the water and was never happier to have air.
He gave a bit of a flap of his wings before looking toward the edge of the pool, so close yet so far he though as he tried to maneuver his way in that direction.
Chath took a breath out of habit when he broke the surface while in water he barely needed to breath...since his skin could gather the oxygen from the water through osmosis.
"S..stop flailing." He laughed as he felt water spray from the wings and he helped guide Geia to the edge of the pool. Dimly he was aware this was the first time he was able to get so close to Geia... without needing to resort to sprays or worrying about his sensitive skin. The moisture made him fine...and when he got Geia to the edge he only released him when he felt the boy had a firm hold on the ledge.
Ligeia caught hold of the edge of the pool, giving a little cough before he looked over to the side, blinking a couple times, "Ahh... Chath?" He murmured, starring at him then his face went red as he felt the urge to sink back under the water. How embarrassing... to be caught looking like a drown rat, "Good... afternoon." His voice was much quieter now, sounding a bit shy over it and he lifted one hand to attempt to push his hair out of his face.
Chath only looked over Geia his own hair plastered to his head as he offered the owl one of his goofy smiles.
"you know learning how to swim is usually done in the shallower end first." He teased as he kicked off and away from the wall enjoying the feel of the water on his skin. He seemed at home in the water.
Keir grumped as nothing exciting happened and he lay down at the edge of the pool glowering at his boy.
Ligeia watched the way Chath moved so easily in the water before giving a little pout, "Not exactly learning swimming." He explained, opened his wings up and set to flapping them rapidly while he pulled himself up out of the pool. It took him a couple of tries before he was able to pull out himself out and sat down on the edge of the pool.
He lifted his hands up to squeeze out his hair of the water once again before he looked over to Chath, watching him as he swam, and found himself starring at him. He didn't mean to but he couldn't help it...
Chath watched as Geia pulled himself out of the water he blinked a couple of times before smiling again.
"Well whatever your doing don't scare me like that. Do you even know how to swim?" He asked with a tilt of his head as he swam backwards his tail propelling him backwards through the water. He wanted to chuckle...poor Geia looked so sodden and soggy wet. It was insanely cute. The owl opened his wings out wings to let them drip dry, "I am... getting better at the spell but... no. I can't quite swim." He said before giving a bit of a laugh, "At least I wasn't fully dressed when I fell in this time." He blinked a couple times as he realized telling Chath that he had fallen in before didn't fall under the category of 'not scaring him'... oops. "It was alright though!
Vorel fished me out of the pool pretty quickly." He assured the newt.
Frowning he looked Ligeia over and switching position swam back to where Geia was sitting.
"You shouldn't be doing something like that if you couldn't swim. I know Vorel can help you but...what if something prevented him from helping?" He stated in a scolding manner. He then noticed that Geia was...only wearing swimming shorts. It was the first time he had ever seen him with so little clothes on. His face flushed slightly as he leaned on the edge of the pool with his arms. His skin sensitivity was way down since he was hydrated. Looking away a bit embarrassed by his lingering gaze he coughed.
"You know I could teach you to at least treed..."
Ligeia glanced over to where the Frost dragon was sitting, watching him quietly before he lowered his gaze back down to Chath, "Ahh... I didn't exactly think that far ahead." He said, flushing a bit. He kicked his feet in the water a little bit, "I was just thinking about how I wanted to figure out how to walk on the water."
His eyes widened a bit at the offer, "Really? You would help me with learning that?" He gave a happy flutter of his wings and nodded, "That would be neat."
Neat wasn't the word he would of used but he smiled at his enthusiastic reply.
"Well you said you would help me with my magic...so its a n equal trade." He chuckled as he then pushed away from the edge and waved for Geia to move towards the shallower in.
"Come walking in instead of jumping in. I think the problem is your wings get so heavy so quickly when you drop in you get thrown for a 'loop'." he commented eying the large wings warily. Ligeia nodded, pushing to his feet and walked from where he was sitting down to the steps that led into the shallow end of the pool. He lifted his wings up above the water as he walked into it not wanting to get them to wet again since they weighed a lot wet... though his hair was the same. For a moment he found himself considering a hair cut but he didn't want to do something so drastic as he loved his hair.
He looked over to where the newt was then moved toward him in the water. It was far different walking in then it was just taking a tumble into the pool, less stressful as well, "Alright, what is step one?" he asked, head tilting to the side.
Chath swam until he was close enough and then righted himself and let his feet plant themselves on the ground. Standing up he let the water drop over him freely as he smiled at Geia. "Well first the best thing to learn is how to 'float'. Your pretty light as it is, but...surface area is what will save you. So ..." he looked at the wings, "I am thinking if you lay on your back and spread your wings you would be pretty buoyant." He suggested. Ligeia looked at the water before he nodded his head before nodded, "I... alright, I will try that." He gathered his hair into a bundle over one shoulder so that it wouldn't try to weigh him down when he was attempting to float. The owl opened his wings wide before looking at Chath, "No laughing at me if I sink." Chath was so good as swimming that he was afraid of looking silly.
Chath motioned with his hands a cross his heart gesture before he half sank into the water to help support Geia if he needed to.
"Don't worry just try and relax. Fighting the water makes it your enemy."
The owl gave a happy smile before he leaned back in the water when he felt the newt helping to support him. It was an odd feeling to float on water in this manner even though not long ago he was trying to walk across it. He did his best to remain relaxed though he felt as though he should be doing something. When he was flying his wings needed to flap unless he caught a good air current to glide on... so just laying there to float seemed odd and it took everything he had to keep from flapping his wings.
Chath was glad he was ...welt built in the muscle department, Geia's body sank a bit in the water but it certainly wasn't enough to cause him to drown.
"remember to keep your wings spread out.." He added as he moved slightly so that he could spread his wings without worrying of hitting him.
The owl nodded, looking up at Chath and gave him a smile. This was made a lot easier with someone else there to help him and more so when it was Chath. He blinked a couple times when he realizes he was thinking more on the fact tat he was with Chath, being held by him, and tried to do as he was told by spreading his wings out farther. Concentrate, Ligeia... this is something important that your learning here he told himself mentally.
He let his arms and legs both rest on the water as well as spreading out the feathers of his tail as though that would help in making more of him to float on the water then waited for Chath to let him go to see if he were able to float on his own.
The newt slowly released the pressure on Geia's body lowering his arms until Geia was floating of his own. He stood there smiling at his boyfriend his tail swishing in the water behind him.
"Good good, now see how long you can do that for sometimes you may need to readjust your body to keep yourself floating. But don't do any sudden movements...you may sink." He warned the owl.
Ligeia would have nodded but didn't want to risk sinking because of that, he smiled when he realized that he was floating on his own, "Wow." He murmured, enjoying the feeling, "This is nice." It felt somewhat like flying when he let his eyes sink closed he thought to himself. He then tried to concentrate on adjusting as he was told here and there to keep from sinking under. He was able to keep himself up for a good span of time before his shifted a bit to much and lost the floaty feeling and started to sink... of course the moment he started to sink his wings instinctively started to flap which didn't help him at all.
Chath reached out to help steady and lift Geia into a standing position. He laughed as the flailing wings and the water it spread everywhere.
"You ...haha..can't do that..it will just make you sink faster." He said with a smile.
"But it was a good try." He continued as he held Geia's hand.
"Perhaps learning how to kick would be good, I think the frog kick or the breast stroke may be better for you since your wings would only get a bit wet rather than soaked." He continued with a nod of his head. Geia felt himself relax when Chath helped him back to his feet, giving a sighing sound of relief when he was back on his feet once more. He looked up at the newt, finding himself feeling even shorter now that he was without his shoes and standing this close to the other teen. He blinked a couple times wanting to push up on his tips toes but resisted the urge. He was shorter then Chath and he was sure that he wasn't going to have some sudden growth spurt any time soon... he wasn't going to get to much taller.
He nodded his head when the different types of swim strokes were suggested to him though he wasn't sure what the two things consisted of, "Umm, alright..." He said, "How does one do a frog kick?"
Chath smiled down at him using a free hand to tuck some wet strands of hair behind his ear tufts.
"Its kinda hard to explain.." he started as he then released Geia and thought a moment.
"hm...not sure if you would like it since it would require you dunking your head under water....we may have to get you use to that first." He murmured.
"You don't have any fears relating to that do you?" Geia wings gave a little flutter as Chath's hand tucked his hair back and he gave a little smile and flushed slightly... then blinked a couple times when Chath released him, "Huh? Oh, no. No fears of the water." He said, it was a bit of a problem really since he had no fear of the water which made it so he didn't fear trying to walk across it despite no good swimming experience.
"Why do I need to dunk under the water?" He asked of the newt boy, wondering what it had to do with frog kicking or the other stroke he'd talked about.
Chath moved a couple steps back and then a few paces to the side and turned.
"here its easier if I show you." He explained as he then went about demonstrating the frog kick. It...seemed like a strange stroke. His head coming up and out of the water where he would gasp for breath before sinking back under completely immersed, his back legs kicked out in a circular whist his hands did a similar motion. It was easy to see why it was called the frog kick. When done he swam back under the water and circle around Geia liking that he could be near him in an element he was so at home with. The owl watched as Chath showed off what a frog kick was and he did his best not to giggle as he watched, it was a strange sort of way to swim wasn't it? Strange but it seemed to be a good way to get around in the water he thought to himself, turning around slowly to watch as he was circled. He highly doubted he would get that good at swimming but even enough so that he would be able to recover after falling in when testing out his random spells that he came up with would be good enough for him.
Chath was a bit impish as he reached out to stroke one of Geia's legs with a webbed hand before he came up and out of the water shaking the water from his hair. He was still smiling a bit goofily.
"Its a bit harder than the breast stroke...but we should first work on making sure you don't flail when under the water."
Geia gave a little jump at the touch to his leg, not expecting it when the newt swam closer. He gave a chuckle when Chath came out of water, shaking off like a dog and he grinned, "Your so good at swimming, I'm jealous." He said with a smile then flushed when he said the first thing that he had to work on was not flailing about under water. He gave a flap of his wings and glanced at them.
It was hard to keep them from flapping when he was doing things since normally they did a lot of the work, "I will do my best not to flail." He assured Chath.
Chath nodded his head and placed a hand on Geia's shoulder. His skin was a bit slick to the touch.
"Well there are plenty of birds who can manage it...though I am sure its a bit more natural to them since they would be water fowl." He said with a chuckle.
"Don't be jealous...I am just in my element. I am sure I would be a mess trying to learn how to fly if i had wings." He continued with a nod of head. He smiled and nodded, "That's true." He murmured, he'd seen ducks swimming around rather easily before when he went to the park. He looked at his wings for a moment before closing them to his back wondering if he would do better at swimming if he kept them closed. He looked down at Chath's hand for a long moment before giving a bit of a smile. Was it just him or did Chath seem to be getting closer to him while they were in the water? He wondered if it were because he didn't have to worry about overheating, drying out, or fainting so it made him able to do so? He looked up at the newt then gave a smile, "Heh, that's true... even more of a mess if you were take one of my Dad's flying classes." He said with a laugh, having seen and help in many of those disastrous classes. He took a step closer to the newt, tilting his head back a bit so he could continue to listen.
Chath unconsciously was aware that Geia was getting closer to him, and his body responded by him taking a half step in turn towards Geia. It wasn't until he looked down he noticed just how close they were together, and he noticed Geia's face looking up at him, those lips just begging to be kissed. His face went ...red as the thought crossed his mind, he quickly looked away a hand running through his wet hair.
"L...llike anything...y..you will get better with practice." He managed to stutter out. He then coughed and tried to think of something else to say but was finding his brain...shutting down. Ligeia tilted his head to the side as Chath seemed to suddenly get embarrassed over something and he gave a bit of a smile and a flush as his mind went racing through possible reasons for it and he did his best to ignore his creative imagination, "I... will do my best." He said, he had access to the pool anytime he wanted to use it so long as there wasn't a class going on so he would have plenty of time to practice.
Chath swallowed and then looked back to Geia...there were so many things he wanted to say...to explain... he was about to explain how they could get Geia to practice the breaststroke instead since it was the easier method to learn when he found himself leaning in to kiss Geia. He..was being very bold...but that could of been attributed to the fact that he was relaxed, while in the water he didn't have to worry about being dehydrated or overheating. The owl boy's eyes got a bit wide then sank closed as Chath kissed him suddenly. He took another step in closer to the newt, hands lifting to rest lightly against Chath's chest as he returned the kiss in an enthusiastic manner, forgetting about swimming lessons in the light of something far more pleasant. His wings gave a flutter behind him, his cheeks pinkened, and he felt his heart beat quicken as well, all from Chath's kiss.
Chath seemed to catch himself as they parted, realizing what he had done he went pink as well and tried to chuckle awkwardly, oh god...he wanted to hide under the water for a while. Geia had said they had wanted to go slow right? But..perhaps it was because he felt so comfortable in the water he felt bold enough to do it.
"Ah..." he coughed a bit noticing how close Geia was he then patted his head lightly as if trying to move past his embarrassment. The owl boy blinked a couple of times as Chath patted him on the head and he lifted his hands up for a moment to hide his reddened face, "Ahh.... Umm..." He wasn't sure what he should do or say, his mind going a bit blank. He chewed on his lower lip as he watched the newt. He had no idea what he should do or say at the moment, especially given all he wanted to do was pull Chath down to him for more kisses...
Chath shifted a bit also embarrassed so he took Geia's hand his face still blushing as he lead him to the shallowest part of the pool, he swallowed a bit as he turned and looked down at Geia. Noticing his own flushed face he felt like he needed to cool off. So he released his hand offered him his goofy smile and then slipped into the water. Feeling immensely better as soon as he was submerged, the shallow end only came up to Geia's waist there wasn't a lot of room to swim but he managed as he slipped closer to reach up a webbed hand to lightly clasp Geia's hand. He hoped he understood... Geia watched as the young man sank down into the water. His wings gave a rapid fluttering as he tried to cool himself off with the air it was creating from the movements of them. Between that and the water he hoped to cool himself off... then looked down at the water when he felt Chath's hand on his. He blinked a couple times before he looked down at him. He tilted his head to the side before he took a deep breath and sank down into the water. Were they... going back to swimming practice then he found himself wondering. The cold water might help if nothing else.
Chath blinked as he watched Geia sink into the water beside him. Wow...he felt a bit overwhelmed with all his long hair swirling around him he looked...close enough to be an angel. He pulled Geia closer to him, the smile he gave him was a bit different than his normal goofy one, this one seemed..most...loving. He cupped Geia's cheeks in his hands and then leaned in and kissed him again.
The owl was a bit surprised when instead of more swimming lessons instead he got more kisses... something that he preferred far more. He moved closer to the newt so that he could hold onto him carefully as he returned the kiss. It was something he had to get used to, kissing under water as well as being careful not to inhale any water through his nose, and continue holding his breath. It was tricky but a skill worth learning he thought to himself, wings fluttering behind him.
Chath...found this experience quite ...interesting. He didn't flinch or feel any sort of pain when Geia touched him under the water of course...he could breath underwater...whilst Geia couldn't . Sometimes he was so use to what he could do ..he forgot others couldn't. He carefully kissed Geia....and at some point pressed his mouth quite firmly against his and breathed out the oxygen that he had stored in his lungs. His skin could gather more for him through the water. So it wasn't like he needed it. He just wanted to linger under the surface with Geia longer. Ligeia's body gave a jump at the breath that Chath gave him and then gave a happy sound in his throat. Well now... that was a helpful trick now wasn't it? He flushed a bit but found this to be the most wonderful thing ever, Chath was able to help him to breath and make it so they could stay under longer. Given how pleasant it was and how the newt didn't have to worry about any of the out of water problems he was all for staying under as long as he could.
Keir grumbled and got up and paced back and forth on the ledge...this was no longer training ...this was...a make out session! He was outraged..he had only allowed Chath to rescue and help the other brat learn how to swim because it was still some form of training. Still...he couldn't bring himself to dive underwater to teach his boy a lesson...something held him back he ground his teeth together trying to figure out what it was.
Chath wondered briefly how well Geia could make him out, he was clear as a bell...perhaps even better than he saw on land. But he wrapped his arms around Geia continueing to run a hand through his boyfriends hair as he continued to give him kisses.
Vorel watched his boy with swimming but once it went from swimming to something more friendly he lifted one of his wings and let it be a curtain to give the others their privacy having no real desire to spy on such things. It did make him a bit curious though, wondering why they were playing in the water but... given the look on Keir's face he wasn't about to ask anything of him.
He would ask Geia later.

Magic Practice
(( Watch Out: Boys Kissing. ))
Ligeia had gone to a couple of the terrain rooms with Vorel, looking them over, studying them, and otherwise trying to decide which among them would be best to train Chath in. The hardest part about it was the fact that he just wanted to pick the room with the pool and hope for the best... For that reason he'd decided upon the room with the waterfall. It would work best for what they needed the room for.
The owl was perched on the back of his dragon, working on braiding his hair so that it wouldn't be in the way, waiting for Chath in the hall on the floor where the terrain rooms were waiting. He looked at Vorel then smiled, "This should be fun." He chirped happily, wings giving a flutter.
Vorel looked him over then asked in Draconic, "Fun... like last time?"
Geia;s cheeks went pink, "Ahh no... not exactly the same sort of fun." He said, scratching the back of his had in an embarrassed manner.
Chath was in a good mood, despite going to work on something he dreaded he had to convince Keir that magic was beneficial to rounding out his skills. The dragon only grumbled stating that he would only tolerate it if they actually worked on the magic rather than making out. Chath only flushed at the comment but nodded his head, yeah the swimming lesson hadn't...worked out as he had planned as they had abandoned it for...uh...other things. He was glad when he spotted Geia and Vorel as soon as they had entered the building. He gave a way, his water bottle always at his hip. Ligeia's eyes went over to where Chath was before he gave a smile, hopping down off of the dragon's back and walked over toward him, "Hello." He said, smiling happily as he got closer to him before he nodded to Keir, "Good afternoon Keir."
He turned his attention back to his boyfriend then, "I thought we would go to the waterfall room, it has a lot of flowing water there that we could use for our casting, that way we won't worry about expending energy summoning the elements."
Chath nodded his head and smiled as Geia came closer to him when he mentioned the waterfall room he shrugged.
"Sure that sounds like a good place to start." he agreed,
Keir only snorted in response to Geia's greeting, he just wanted this over with.
The owl gave a smile before he held up the keys he was holding, "Its nice being the son of a teacher at times." It meant that he was allowed to hang out in the terrain rooms where others might not normally be able to go to without Orpheus.
He turned to start down the hall toward where that room was located, "How have you been?" He asked, wings giving a little flutter as he walked along, reaching a hand out to lay it on Vorel's arm and the dragon started to trot along with his owl.
Chath gave a laugh at Geia's first comment. Orpheus...man he hadn't seen him since he helped with that one class.
"Hehe you should tell your father hi for me." He responded with a nod of his head as he went to keep pace with Geia. Course that meant he had to shorten his strides but he didn't care. He ...wanted to take the owl boy's hand...and was about to when he suddenly was asked about how he had been faring.
"Ah...well.." he withdrew his hand rather hastily and put it in his shorts pocket. "Interesting? I had anther class with a strange teacher...who teaches Melee. He isn't bad..just....weird." He commented as they walked. "Oh? Which teacher is that, I might know him." He asked, looking through the keys he had before he got the one he needed and opened up the door. The room inside was like stepping into the outdoors, it was a field type area with a large waterfall that fell into a stream. The stream moved across the wall only to disappear where it met the wall to be brought back to the waterfall again.
Vorel gave Ligeia a nudge, "Good luck." He said in draconic before he turned to move forward, finding himself somewhere to lay down in the room where he would be able to watch.
Chath tried to dredge the teachers name out of his brain. It was a weird one..."Uh... Mr...Tsuzuki? I think that is how you say it.." he stumbled through the teachers name and then half shrugged. "Trust me if you had him you would know him... he is really weird." He continued as he then looked at their surroundings when they entered the room. It...really could be deceiving...it felt so much
like the real outdoors he could probably fool himself if he forgot he short trek through the hallways just moment earlier.
Keir growled and then reluctantly went to lay with Vorel. Not beside him of course....a few feet away...he still seemed off from their last encounter. "Oh, yes! Mr Tzusuki, I went over to his place once before. He seemed nice if a bit unsure of himself." He said with a smile, then gave a happy sound. "I wonder how Saedah is doing, I really should visit them again." It had been a while since he'd seen the teacher and his little snake daughter and he really did miss talking with them.
The owl walked over to the water's edge and took off his long gloves, setting them aside as it was easier to do the magic when he could touch th elements with his bare hands.
Chath stopped a bit baffled as Geia told him this information. Unsure of himself? That man? Wait...Saedah?
"Uh...who is Saedah?" He inquired as he shook his head trying to clear his mind from the startling information and went to stand opposite of Geia. "Saedah is Mr Tsuzuki's daughter, a really pretty little snake girl." He said with a smile, "Poor thing was so shy both times that I met her but I think I was able to make friends with her." She was such a darling, "Between her and Maria it makes me want one of my own more and more." He gave a laugh as he said that, kneeling down next to the water.
Chath felt his face flush at the last comment and he coughed and cleared his throat not sure what to say or reply with that.
"Ah...I didn't know he had a daughter." He had a tough time imagining Mr. Tsuzuki caring for a child. He then went to follow Geia's movements though his face was still a bit flushed.
"Ah I haven't met Maria, who is she?" He inquired feeling a bit out of the loop. Geia gave a squeak, "OH! I'm so sorry... I was so... erm... preoccupied the last time we met." He murmured, his face going red, "I forgot to tell you, I feel so silly you won't tell Maria will you? Promise?"
Chath looked to him and then shook his head then nodded and then laughed.
"Ah...i promise?" He replied. Ligeia gave a sound of relief, he felt so bad, "Good, good. Thank you." He said, "You see Maria is my little sister, my Dad look her in not that long ago. It was a bit of a surprise but I am sure there was a reason for him taking her so quickly." He reached down into the water to lay his hands on the surface then drew them up with a large orb of water fluttering under it.
Chath found this interesting, so Geia had a little sister now? Well..he could understand the feeling since he too had a little sister...he only hoped she ended up a better person than Zyan. He loved her..but she was a bit much.
He watched astonished as Geia lifted the globs of water out of the pond. He looked over at Chath and smiled, "Alright, here." He said, turning his hand over and held one of the sphere out to Chath, "This is a lot easier then summoning the element, this way we don't have to exhaust our energy with that and will be able to channel that power toward other parts of the casting."
Chath looked a bit shocked to be suddenly handed the sphere. He looked like he just expected it to break in his hands and cause him to get a globe full of water all over him. But it stayed the same and he peered at it curiously as if wondering why it was still...intact.
"Wow...you did that so easily." He breathed..he was very impressed.
Ligeia gave a smile and a little flush, "Its... one thing I seem to be good at." He said, holding the sphere up before he looked down at the one that he was holding, "Alright, tell me how much have you done in your magic classes? So I know how far along you are."
Chath still stared at the sphere a little in awe.
"Uh..." he started as he struggled to think, "Well..I learned to summon about a marble sized sphere of water...and learned to shoot it..." He mentioned with a nod of his head.
He gave a nod, "Alright, show me the second part since you already have the water on hand?" He asked, feeling a little odd doing the teacher thing with his boyfriend but he had agreed to help him with his magic and saw it as the best way to go about things.
Chath looked to the large sphere of water in his hand a bit nervously. He...wasn't sure if he could 'throw' something this size.
"Uh...usually I just...lob it.." he said as he did just that and he lobbed the water sphere with a under throw as he didn't really know how to just throw a water globe this size.
The owl watched as Chath gave the water globe a toss and blinked a couple times. He gave a nod before he gave Chath smile, "Now lets see here... how about trying to draw a sphere up on your own? Its about the same as pulling it from the air but a bit easier."
Chath watched as the sphere he threw wobbled and then plopped back into the pond with a splosh. He felt a bit embarrassed before he looked to Geia and nodded his head a bit solemnly. He ...felt...rather stupid when it came to this.
Moving he closed his eyes and tried to remember how he did this before. He put his hand into the water trying to will the molecules into a globe. When he took his hand out of the water...there was a thin layer of water clinging to his skin...he tried to focus harder and will it into a sphere...and like unwillingly subjects the droplets slowly formed into a much smaller sphere in the palm of his hand. It was nothing compared to what Geia could pull off. But still he smiled sheepishly and held it out to Geia to look at. The owl gave a happy smile as he watched the newt as he drew the water up from the stream and gave a nod, "Very good!" He said, watching the sphere that Chath had picked up on his own and gave him a nod, "Alright, now this part will take more concentration." He held his hands together under the sphere that he was holding so that the other could see. He let his eyes slid half closed before he drew his hands to the side leaving the sphere floating there between them.
Chath watched with a studious gaze, his gaze flickering between the hovering sphere and Geia's expression. Why did he have to make it....look so easy? Taking a slow deep breath he tried to do the same. He wanted the water to float, his hands trembled as he slowly withdrew it from under the sphere. It....sank drastically and Chath had to put his hands back under last minute to prevent it from breaking apart drawing all his energy and concentration again he took a deep steadying breath and lifted his hands to bring the water globe back to eye level before he tried it again. this time...is quivered and sank a few inches...but stayed aloft in the air. It...looked like it was quivering.... "Ahh, your doing pretty well Chath!" He said, giving a bright smile and looked very impressed with how well Chath was doing with the spell since he wasn't sure how well the newt would be at the casting, "You actually have a pretty good grasp on your element, probably because your always around it." Chath swam a lot, he carried the water bottle with him, he was close to his element at all times.
Chath looked up briefly and offered an unsure and crooked smile at the praise.
"haha...uh...t..thanks?" he replied though it was hard for him to talk...for when he started speaking the globe started to shudder and sink in the air. He returned his focus onto it gritting his teeth trying to keep it aloft. Ligeia released his hold on the sphere he was holding so he could move his hands over and rest his hands against Chath's hands to help to steady the newt, "Relax, if you push yourself to hard you will burn through your energy to fast." He explained. It was a lot harder to teach something then to just do it he thought to himself, gaining more respect for all of his teachers, "Its like with flying or... well I guess for you swimming, if you kick to hard you will only wear yourself out, right?" He wasn't exactly sure... he hadn't practiced his swimming as he'd meant to do. It didn't seem nearly as fun a way to spend time without Chath there.
Chath nodded his head, he knew...what Geia was saying made sense....but magic was so hard for him to wrap his brain around. His face flushed as he felt Geia touching his hands. The ball of water literally exploded as his thoughts suddenly bolted to other thoughts. Blinking he looked as the ...air before him that was now empty.
"Aha...ha..." he started feeling the heat rise in his face.
The owl blinked a couple times before he started giggle a little, "Oh... wow... well how about we try that again?" He suggested, giving a smile as he watched the way that Chath started to flush a little. He felt a little guilty as he was sure that he had caused the newt to lose his control over his magic so he drew his hands back, "Maybe I should stay back while you practice."
Chath only nodded a bit glumly he felt like an idiot. Reaching back into the pond of water he drew another small globe out trying to regain his focus and then did what he was suppose to be doing. Letting it float around in the air before him though it still quivered it looked as if Chath was managing to keep it afloat. "Its alright Chath, no reason to be upset your doing really well." Ligeia said, hoping that the newt didn't give up because he wasn't giving it right off. He shifted to sitting down and watched as the newt called up another sphere of water on how own. He gave a clap of his hands, "Good job!"
He watched the sphere closely before asking, "I'm curious, what sorts of things are you wanting to learn to do with your water element?" Chath looked at the sphere of water a long time at the question Ligeia's posed at him. What...did he want to do with it? He..hadn't really thought much on it...since al he wanted at the moment was to get better at it.
"Uh.....figure out how to make it easier to do?" He said with a half laugh. What did he want to use the magic for? "What ...do you do with your magic?"
Geia gave a smile, "Well that is the first step and it will just take a lot of practice is all, I have put a lot of time into the element to be able to learn how to use it in the way that I use it." He explained, wanting to cheer his boyfriend on with his magic as it gave them more things to do together. It was why he was interested in learning to swim in the first place, that and because the newt had seemed eager for him to learn so he wouldn't drown himself.
"What... I do with it? Various different things." He said with a smile, he wasn't the sort to want to show off and normally the only ones that saw him casting her teachers, fellow students, and Vorel.
Chath tilted his head to him as he chewed on his lower lip. What was the purpose of him learning this?
"Um...I..w..was hoping I ..c..could use this when I fight." he mumbled feeling a bit ashamed to only be learning magic for the sake of using it against others. It felt kinda evil to him...but he also hoped to be able to keep Keir in check..physically he was no match for the black. Ligeia gave a nod as he lifted a hand to draw one of the spheres over to his hand, looking into it. He wasn't sure what he thought of that, finding himself thinking on that one. He knew what magic could be used for and what it probably would be used for. One of his teachers had one told him that they were all soldiers, it would be better for Chath to know all he could to fight that better? He gave another nod, "Yeah... I suppose that it would be a good skill to pick up, to add to your physical abilities." He agreed finally.
Chath would be at an advantage compared to someone like Ligeia who couldn't fight in a hand to hand manner and could only wield magic. He made a motion with his hand to shatter the water into several globes of it that floated around his hand, "You should see about firing out the sphere at a high rate of speed, I can do something similar with my own element and it would make a good projectile weapon."
Chath looked as if he nearly choked on his words feeling a bit ashamed asking someone as gentle as Geia to teach him to wield magic so he could use it to fight.
"A.h....Mr. Barkhelm ...had....attempted to teach me that..." He explained with a slow nod of his head, "I, c..can only manage it wi...with a small small sphere.." He continued thinking on how the marble sized water globe had fired through a brick.
"i..I was th..thinking..c..could I..u..use it as a shield instead?" He inquired wondering if wielding magic in such a way would be possible. He gave a nod of his head, "I would think that you could do that." He murmured, relaxing a little when Chath said he was going to use the magic in a more defensive way. He gave a nod of his head, "It would take a lot of practice on your part to be able to manipulate the amount of water needed to make a shield but I think its possible. I've shaped my element into many different things."
Chath swallowed and nodded his head, "y..yeah a shield...and I will practice a lot.." he murmured looking at the sphere that was still hovering in the air before him.
"H..how do you manipulate it exactly? With your mind? Or something else?" He inquired looking at it thoughtfully.. He gave a nod, "One of my teachers said that an important aspect of magic was 'imagination'." He told Chath, it was Raven who had said that if he remembered correctly. He moved a hand forward to tap a fingertip against the sphere floating in front of Chath and it froze over into a more solid form before he laid his hand against it. It took a moment before it was changed from a sphere into a flower, a trick he'd done before when entertaining some of the children that he babysat.
He looked amazed as he watched Geia change the water into ice and then formed it into a flower.
"Imagination?" he echoed wondering what exactly that meant for him. Did that mean he had no imagination? Was that why it was so difficult? He found it hard to believe as his mind tended to rampantly wander off into day dreams involving Geia. His face flushed again.
"A..ah..well..I will try and ..be more imaginative." he confirmed with a nod of his head. He gave a smile, "Well that isn't all that is important for magic but I think that is the method I use the most I think." He murmured as he took the flower out of the air and looked it over closely, "Its just... a way of looking at the magic, coming up with things to do with it, different forms for it." It was how he went about things, figuring out a shape for his magic, what he wanted to do with the magic, then attempting it over and over until he was able to figure out how to do it.
He supposed that made the most sense he reached into the pond again and pulled out another sphere. He supposed...if he practiced a LOT this would came naturally to him as well. He found he always fell back to what he was comfortable with. Looking at the sphere he gazed at it.
"Well...a shield is...more flat like..." he mused as he wondered if just by thinking of it being more flat he could will the magic to look like that. He gave a nod, "It might be a little tough." He murmured, half to himself as he thought that one over. To be able to spread the element over a flat and thinner surface... he found himself wanting to try the spell out, see what he could do with it. At the same time he knew it would be best to wait, he didn't want to attempt any really powerful spells with Chath around for many reasons. One he didn't want to seem as though he were showing off and hurt Chath's desire to use magic and more important some stronger spells left him feeling rather weak, a couple times he'd even collapsed while learning new things. The last thing he wanted was to scare the newt because he pushed himself farther then he should.
Chath frowned at Geia's words. Yeah...staring at the globe wasn't making it change either. He tried to put more thought into it.....the sphere...actually shuddered...and looked like it was trying to squish...but suddenly it just popped into two spheres...smaller ones.
Surprised he tilted his head and then went to cup the other with his bandaged hand to keep it afloat.
"Well that didn't work." He muttered a bit crossly. "Its alright, it will take a bit for you to get the feel of what your trying to do." He said with a smile, "Try it with one of those sphere? Maybe a smaller target will make it easier for you, less to manipulate then."
Chath looked to the two spheres wondering if he really wanted to try that. Of course...he didn't want to disappoint Geia by being impatient and yet all he wanted to do was slip into the water and clear his head and relax. Instead he tried to focus on the spheres...and when they both just popped he threw his hands up in the air in defeat. Magic was just not meant for him.
"Looks like I loose this round," He commented wryly as he then smirked looking at Geia. "Good think my boyfriend is so good at it. Makes up for my horrid attempt." Geia's dark eyes went wide when the two sphere that Chath was trying to work with popped on him and then gave him a gentle smile, "I am sure you will get it, just need practice is all." He murmured, then flushed a bit at his comment, "T-Thank you though I am not that good at it, still so much that I have to learn... but hey, maybe we will make a good team someday. You can do the fighting I will do the casting." He suggested.
The idea made him want to work that much harder on learning to make a shield, he would better be able to keep people around him safe that way.
Chath smiled as he then got a look on his face that looked a bit like a smirk as he then leaned forward on his good arm and pecked Ligeia on the nose with a kiss.
"your plenty good for me." He said with a flush on his cheeks. The owl's cheeks flushed a little before he gave a smile, "Thank you, Chath." He murmured, it meant a lot to him that Chath was so good to him despite all that had happened before between them. His wings gave a fluttered before he returned the little kiss that Chath gave him with a more friendly one. They seemed to be done for the moment with the magic work so... that meant a couple kisses would be alright, since they weren't interrupting anything.
Chath's face flushed as he noticed that his kiss was being returned with a kiss that was...much more...alluring than his has been. But...Geia was he one giving it...so it was okay right? He was still unsure of himself a lot...since all the stuff that had happened between them he didn't want to risk pushing Geia away. So he returned the kisses if..awkwardly. Geia drew back starring up at Chath for a moment, slightly unsure of himself and of what he'd done before he flushed, "Ahh... so if you want anymore help with Magic... I will be glad to help." He said, looking down at his hands. He wondered if Chath wasn't as comfortable with getting kisses as he was giving them he thought to himself. It was tough with them both being guys, he had no idea who should do what, who could initiate what.
Chath was ...a bit sad as Geia withdrew but he didn't push. He liked getting kisses from him...he was jsut really unsure about himself...and what was appropriate given ..one of their conversations. He was so ...oblivious at times he felt stupid.
"Ah..th..thanks." He replied sitting there a moment wondering if ..he and Keir should go. He could already feel the daggers being thrown at him from
Keir's piercing and unapproved eyes. Angered...he didn't want Keir ruling his life...and thus he laid a hand on Geia's shoulder and drew him in for another kiss. "Your very much welcome, Chath." He murmured about to rise to his feet when Chath laid a hand on his shoulder, "Hmm?" He was caught off guard by the next kiss and his quickly fluttering wings showed as much. He gave a purring sound in his throat before he returned the kiss. Yes, it seemed Chath preferred giving the kisses... so maybe that meant he should wait for the newt to initiate things between them? It seemed the best bet.

Blue Prints Arrive
Orpheus was smiling brightly as he walked into the small apartment that he shared with his two sons, one daughter, and two dragons. He had an envelope in his hands that was a long time in coming, good news from those out there had finally delivered. He had the letter saying that the house had built for his family not to far from the D-Corp Facility was finally finished. He moved to sit down on beat up couch that had seen much use since he'd taken up sleeping on it after he'd adopted Ter and took out the plans that came along with the letter. He spread them out on the coffee table, running his fingers over it in an interested manner before his eyes fell upon a room that he couldn't help but smile over, "Master Bedroom." He murmured to himself, grinning.
A room that was all his own, one where he would be able to have a bed of his own, a bathroom he didn't have to share with three other people. He couldn't help but grin. He looked the rest of it over before he turned to look over his shoulder down the small hallway that led to where his three children were hanging out, "Ligeia, Terpsichore, Maria! Come here please!" He called down the hallway.
Maria was the first to arrive, coming rushing out of Ligeia's room at a dead run and gave a jump and landed on the back of the couch, she scrambled for a moment before plopping down next to her Father, "Hello, hello." She chirped up at him, looking pleased that she had won the race to be the first one to her father though it was only a race in her mind now that she had already won it.
Ligeia was the next to arrive with Vorel following after him, both of them coming to stand behind the couch, and a moment after that Ter slithered into the room with a none to please Baroness following after as she didn't really like the idea of being cramped in the room with the rest of the family. The owl boy moved to sit down on the back of the couch, perching there to look at what their father was looking at in such an interested manner before his dark eyes went wide.
"Dad... are those blue prints?" He asked.
Ter slithered forward quickly, hands on the back of the couch to look at it before he slithered over the back of it and to the coffee table. He looked it over before a grin spread over his lips, "Look at this place, damn... you thinking about buying it?" The cobra asked, looking over at his father with a rather hopeful look on his face.
Maria set to giggling, giving her brother a little push with her hands, "Hehe, you said damn Ter!" She told him.
Ter rolled his eyes, "So did you just now."
She gave a little 'eep' sound, her hands lifting up to cover her mouth with them before she looked up at her Father but he didn't seem all that concerned, no doubt having to hear Ter's mouth constantly run away from him with random curses and none to brilliant statements. When it appeared she wasn't going to get in trouble she climbed up her brother's back to look over his shoulder, "We are gonna live in there?" She asked.
Orpheus gave a nod, laughing a bit, "Yes. In fact the place is ready for us. We will need to move our stuff there, probably get some more furniture to fill it out but yes. That is our new home." He said, running a hand over the blue prints, "Its not to terribly far from here and we can all still get there easily enough. I just knew that we are a bit crowded and none of you are getting any smaller."
Ter gave a hissing sound and a nod, "No joke." He murmured, looking the blue prints over closely to inspect them. Lots of rooms, big kitchen, lots of bathrooms, lots of room to stretch out and for the dragons to be able to lounge about... he couldn't imagine staying in this place after Maria got her dracling he thought to himself before looking over at Orpheus, "So, when we moving?"
"As soon as we get packed we can start bringing stuff over. Between my car and the dragons I don't think it will take to long."
Baroness gave a huffing sound as she found herself given such a task, she had to help to move?! She gave a growling sound until she looked over at Ter who was shaking his head, "If you help out there will be plenty of room for us and you will have a bigger place to hide your horde if these plans are to be believed."
She perked up a bit at this, a bigger place for her horde? That meant being able to have a bigger horde if there was more space to fill. She gave a nod of her head to show that she would in fact help out if it were for such a good cause.
Vorel on the other hand had just nodded his head when he was told that he would be helping to move tail wagging, a smile on his face. Anything that made his owl as happy as he looked was good by him he thought and he would do anything to help so long as it meant he remained that happy. He leaned over to catch hold of a lock of his hair, chewing lightly on it.
Orpheus rose to his feet, "Alright, lets go and find some boxes and get to work packing." He told the five that were gathered around him. There were a lot of nods before they were heading out of the small apartment as a group.

Shirt Please...
(( Done with Jay via AIM ))
The house was rather impressive even from up high, a sprawling set up that was a huge upgrade from the cramped apartment that they had been staying in as a cramped group. To the north side of it there was even a good sized pool that was fenced in for the family to make use of. The house had three different decks as well but one in particular Baroness seemed to be heading toward, her deck by possessive claiming. She was spiraling down in tight circles to land in the grass next to it. Once they were on the ground she turned to look over at the mantis, "Door there, head inside." She said in rough, guttural English that she rarely used in place of draconic except when talking to Ter about things.
Zyan was a bit surprised by the sheer size difference int he home compared to the small apartment they had been living in. She slipped off of Baroness a bit chilled from the flight over since she was still damp from the hose soaking.
"Thanks Baroness. I'll get you a big shiny I promise." She stated with a nod of her head as she hurried into the house to try and warm up.
Stepping inside she ..felt overwhelmed all of a sudden and very lost. Wanting to dry off she hurried around until she found a vacant bed room with a bathroom attached and slipped in and undress wrapping a towel carefully into her hair as she then set about drying herself off. She had no idea who's room this was... but oh well.
There was the sound of heavy foot steps from the room outside of the bathroom as the double doors that led to the smallest of the three deck were opened up and Vorel came tromping in through them, moving to the sitting area of the room that was 'his' before he laid down, ~ That was fun! We need to swim together more.~ He told his owl in cheery draconic.
Ligeia nodded, squeezing the water out of his hair on the deck before he set to wrapping the long, white braid in a towel that he set up on his head, ~Agreed, I rather like having a pool just outside the room.~ He said back in the same language, having it down now so he could speak with his dragon and any other he might happen across in their native tongue. He gave a smile as he shook off his wings and headed inside to pad, bare foot toward his bathroom so he could get himself a second towel to dry off with, having no idea that the room had been invaded by unexpected company.
Zyanya heard the voices though she recognized the..tone the words were beyond her. Still she didn't hurry or move from sitting on the edge of the bath tub as she figured Geia would be smart enough to knock on the door before barging in. She was stark naked wringing the water out of her underwear her boots discarded on the floor.
Ligeia didn't even think twice as he went into his bathroom, not really expecting anyone to be there since this was his room, his bathroom, and because everyone else had a bathroom of their own, well aside from Ter and Maria who shared one. He was two steps into the room, turning to open the tall cabinet that contained the towels when the bright and out of place colors that belong to Z caught his attention. He froze in place, starring as he found a... naked girl in his bathroom. That was the absolute last thing that he was expecting... and he gave a cry of surprise, hands and wings coming up to block his view.
Zyanya's own wings snapped open mostly at his cry of surprise. She had...never anticipated it would be his bathroom. ******** great. Not that she cared if he saw her naked. Gods he was more girlier than she was.
"Yo, sorry I needed a place to dry off." She started off allowing her wings to go back down. she then continued to wring out her clothes as if nothing was out of the ordinary.
Geia turned to face the cabinet, keeping his wings up as he reached up for a towel and grabbed it pulling it down, "Ahh... ummm... alright." He said, "Sorry, nobody is ever in here but Vorel and I so I didn't expect you to be... well... here." And certainly not in such a state of undress. He found himself suddenly mentally complaining about his completely lack of luck, why couldn't it have been Chath and not Z that was randomly standing around in such a state in his bathroom? His cheeks colored at the sudden and unexpected thought and he started toward the bathroom door.
Zyanya perched on the edge of the bathtub looking at Geia curiously.
"Geeeze you act as if your straight being so red faced...you are gay aren't you? Or does my brother need to worry?" She stated in a sarcastic manner completely unashamed at her current stage of undress.
"so this shouldn't turn you on at all...or does it? " She inquired with a smirk.
"Your the one that decided to label me as 'gay', Zyanya." He said to her, pausing as she spoke but he wasn't foolish enough to look her way again, "As for that, I can't really say that it does. I was thinking that I am unlucky as I would have preferred that I walked in on a naked version of your brother instead." If she wanted to be a brat he would respond in turn he thought to himself as he wrapped the second towel around himself then reached to the side to scoop up his brush and a fresh, dry ribbon off the bathroom counter.
Leaning on her hand her elbow being propped up by her knee she looked at Geia and then snorted a laugh.
"oho you claiming your NOT gay? Your the girliest looking guy I have ever met or ******** you probably even have more of a chest than I do." She moved to stand up slowly going to pick up her clothes.
"Want to compare breasts sizes Geia?" She snorted again before shaking her head. Though she never would of guessed the owl boy would of had..such thoughts in his head about seeing her brother naked.
"I would say that is your problem, not mine." He told her, looking down for a moment as if to check but was relieved to find that he did in fact have nothing in the way of a chest... so it seemed more as though she were insulting herself then anything. He gave a shrug of his shoulders, "I love your brother, Zyanya. It doesn't instantly label me as anything." He started out into the bedroom then. He could have fallen for a girl, knew a lot of them actually, but it had ended up that the one he met and fell for was a guy. It shouldn't be something that should be so shocking or taunt worthy, or at least that was what he thought.
Zyan rolled her eyes as she hung up the rest of her clothes and then walked out of the bathroom a towel draped over her arm as a modest attempt to cover herself. It wasn't like she could wrap it around herself...her extra legs got in the way.
"Lend me some clothes," She announced her request as she spotted Vorel. She gave him a wave. "Yo Vorel."
Ligeia looked over at her cautiously and seeing she was only some what covered so he looked away nodded, moving to where his large closet was located, "Most of it is in here or in the dresser, take what you need." He told her, giving her a bit of a smile, seeming unable to stay mad at irked in the least and couldn't help but to help when someone asked for things. It was his weakness.
Vorel turned to look at Z, looking a bit surprised before smile, ~Hello there, Zyanya.~ He greeted her, only the name being something she might understand unless she knew parts of the language
She raised an eyebrow at Vorel only catching hello and her name. Ug...draconic was annoying to understand and each dragon spoke it weirdly.
She moved to stand beside Geia and she poked at a few things...that were in his dresser frowning.
"don't you have anything...dark?"
He shook his head, "There might be something gray in the closest but aside from that no, most of what I have is blue or white." He had a great liking of 'cool' colors and as such most of what he wore was that color though there were other colors here and there, again mostly bright colors. He moved to let her explore as she liked and leaned against his dragon's side. He was quiet for a while before finally asking, "So... how is your brother?" It had been a little while longer then he liked since he'd seen the newt last... though that had been a rather nice meeting.
Zyanya frowned as she found NOTHING she liked. Half tempted to just go about naked but knowing that she'd better not. She couldn't bring herself to put on a tank with a ...cute image on it. So choose a dress...of sorts that was white. "Ug....your going to have to help me into this.." she muttered crossly.
Geia pouted a little when he got no information on Chath then turned to look over at her before he gave a nod of his head, "Ahh... alright." He said, moving over toward her, "Here." He took the dress from her and gave her a quick once over, "If you can press your extra arms in closer to you it will be easier for you to get this on." Though she did have a lot of spiny bits... he found himself mourning as he didn't think the dress was going to fair to well against Zyanya. He stepped closer to help to pull it down over her head, "Arms up." This was no different then helping out Maria he decided, well aside from the fact that currently Maria's choice of dress was pretty random.
She did as instructed lifting her arms up so the dress could slip over her head easilly enough. It felt weird...putting on Geia's clothes that were totally not her choice of tastes. part of her mildly worried that Ter wouldn't like how she looked the other part of her said she'd beat on him if he teased her. Once the dress was on...of sorts she refrained from looking in a mirror.
"I probably look like an idiot." She mused out loud to mostly herself.
"And if your curious about my brother phone him..I am not his messenger girl."
"You do look different, but not bad." He said, "If you want I can bring your things to the dryer for you." He offered, ever the helpful one.
His wings gave a bit of a flutter and he gave a nod, "I know I can call, I was just... curious..." He trailed off and flapped his wings again, "Ah, never mind." He felt silly asking her such a thing anyway. He would just call the newt and talk to him first hand instead of asking someone else about him he told himself. He fiddled for a moment with the silver bracelet he wore before he turned to browsing through his clothing and picked out a couple things for himself.
Zyan fidgeted in the dress trying to get herself to feel comfortable in it. With narrowed eyes she watched Geia as he fiddled with the bracelet and then she snapped her wings open as if testing them. There was a mild rip sound but nothing serious she figured she crossed her arms over her chest before finally sighing.
"He is fine. He's been having...problems with Keir but asides that he is the same happy go lucky idiot as always." She spoke in an exasperated tone. "You two just make me buggier...either your together or not half the time I can never tell between you two." She snapped mostly to herself before she went to turn to leave the room and then stopped herself as she realized she didn't know where to go.
"Ter's room is where?"
Geia felt a little worried, she couldn't tell? He wondered if Chath felt the same way... did he worry they would break up again? He shifted on his bare feet and hugged the clothing to his chest before looking at Zyanya, "Ahh, yeah... his room, sorry." He motioned, "Its this way." He said as he moved to lead the way from his room, through the house to where Ter's room was located. He lifted up on his tip toes to reach the lock and undid it to let her in, "Its... a mess in there, though I am sure your used to the chaos of his room." He found himself thinking about it, had he ever been in Chath's room? Had Chath ever been in his? It had him worrying even more... what sort of couple were they?
"Ter knows where the dryer is even though he has no use for it, so he can help you find your cloths when you need them." He said, turning on his heel and wander off in a thoughtful if worried manner.
For a split second she regretted the harsh words she had spoken to the owl earlier but she shrugged it off. Not her problem. she pushed open the door and though she had expected it she was quite amazed at the amount of stuff scattered about. With a shrug she went to find a mirror.

Geia Vs...?
(( Done with Jay via AIM ))
Ligeia shouldn't worry about what Zyanya had said... really she might just be picking on him against since he was always the butt of the joke that she and Ter made at him. He found himself back in his room after putting her clothing into the laundry and he sat on the edge of his bed debating. Should he be worried? He told himself no but the more thought about it the more he did just that. Not spending time together, no getting to share interests, no talking, it was been the cause of what had happened the last time, "Ah! Not again!" He said, pushing to his feet and started toward the double doors that led out of his room to the smallest of the decks.
Vorel blinked a couple times before he followed after his owl, ~ Ligeia? Where are you going? ~ He asked, wondering what was going on and what he meant by 'not again'.
~ I need to find Chath, its important. ~ He said opening his wings and gave a flap, pushing up so that he could land on the railing that ran around the deck. He looked over at Vorel, ~ Will you come with me? Or will you wait here?~
The Frost chuckled and followed after the owl as though the question were a silly one, both were soon in the air, heading in the direction of Chath's place. Maria would be fine here, not because Ter was here to watch her, but because their father was home just working his best on setting up his at home office. He wasn't worried now about her since she would stay safe which allowed him to freely go in pursuit of something.
Chath and Keir just happened to be out on a marathon you would think judging by the speed both were moving.
~Faster.~ Came the demand from the black who was winging in the air getting better and better with every outing. Chath was on the ground...nearly goddamn sprinting trying to keep up with his dragon.
":YOu...Huff...huff...S...sl..ave...Huff..puff...driver..." Came Chath's annoyed response, soon though the black was lost ahead of him... and Chath nearly collasped on the ground trying to catch his breath. This wasn't the one hundred meter dash..this was torture. He sprayed himself over once ..twice and then again..he took this opportunity to catch his breath and let Keir get ahead. Whatever...that dragon was insane if he thought Chath couldkeep up with him in the first place.
Geia gave a sound of surprised sound as he spotted those the one that he was looking for and he felt his eyes water a bit... he blamed the wind though, it was much faster up here. Lucky, there was a bit of it working on his side after all he thought. He looked over to Vorel, giving a nod before he closed his wings and dove down toward them at a rapid pace. It was something that he had much practice at and was rather good at being what he was.
Vorel watched him as he started to dive down toward the orange spot that was down far belong and things started to make more sense. There were times he wondered what he thought of Chath... he was a good person yes, but he seemed the one abe to most easily cut his owl down with just his mere presence or lack of it. At times it worried Vorel and made him want to keep Geia to himself but he wasn't so cold, he loved his owl and his owl loved Chath... he figured that must mean he should love him as well, yes? The frost closed his wings to dive down after the owl. kirrachan (12:38:14 AM): The black dragon spotted the decending owl as soon as he started to spiral down towards his boy. Growling he flapped his wings moving as quickly as possible to stop the owl's decent.
~Your not wanted here!~ He snapped in draconic knowing that the owl could understand him perfectly. Lips curling back showing off his aggression, how dare he just...swoop down and interfere. HOW DARE HE. His dislike for the pair being together grew with each passing day.
Chath looked up when he heard but couldn't make out what his dragon was saying. Hey...that was Vorel. He could tell cause tehre was no dragon quite like the Frost...that meant Geia was around. He perked up the idea of seeing the owl sounding delightful, though he was frowning...just what was Keir doing?
Geia was forced to pull up more quickly then planned, wings spreading wide to slow him down so that he didn't crash into the Black Dragon which would have ended up more painful for him then Keir that was for certain. Was the Black looking bigger now then the last time he had seen him or was it due to the attitude that he was currently sporting. Geia gave a flap of his wings as he looked Keir over closely, unable to see Chath now due to the angle and the dragon being within line of sight. He blinked as the words sunk in, ~ What... what do you mean? ~ He asked, trying not to sound worried. Was that just Keir talking... or was that Chath's feelings as well?
Vorel had missed what was said, missed the aggression as he was moving to quickly and continued his dive downward to land nearby to where Chath was before he lifted his gaze to the sky, looking a bit uncertain when his boy didn't come down immediently. What was he doing up there with Keir? The Frost tilted his head to oneside before he shifted in place, wings opening wide as he prepared to take off again.
Chath nearly jumped out of his skin when Vorel came to land beside him. The ground rocked under neath his feet and he had to splay his hands out to catch his balance.
"Hey Vorel..." He greeted with a sheepish smile before his worry overtook him again. He looked up trying to see Geia but Keir was in the way.
Growling his large wings beat in the air to keep him aloft. His tail twitched in the air his agitation betrayed, ~I told you boy, I don't want you here. Leave. Now. Stop interfering.~ He snarled lowering his head acidic drool pooling at the corners of his mouth.
Vorel turned for a moment, distracted as he was spoken to. He tilted his head over at Chath before he followed his gaze back up to the sky once more.
Ligeia blinked a couple of times as he starred at the Black Dragon and he felt... a strange sensation, something he didn't often feel and he was pretty sure it was anger. What was it with everyone today? Zyanya baiting and taunting him and now Keir wanting for him to leave... he only wanted to see Chath, was that so bad? He gave a shake of his head, ~ I came to talk to Chath, Keir... I am not trying to interfear with whatever it is that your doing today I just... wanted to see him. ~ He said, forcing back the anger that he was feeling.
Keir snorted moving aside as if to allow Geia to proceed before moving back again.
~There...you saw him. Now go.~ He groweled, ~You are such a pest...a constant distraction...~ He muttered mostly to himself as he briefly looked down judging that the frost was a bit too tense for his likeing. He never wanted to attack the frost before...not that it would stop him if the big idiot decided to try and fight for his boys Honor.
Chath didn't like where this was going. "s**t...Keir...seriously...this is going too far..." He grumbeled looking up to Vorel chewing on his lower lip a bit, "Hey Vorel...mind giving me a lift?"
Geia's hands clentched at his sides as he was allowed, for a moment and that was all, to see the newt. He blinked and then found himself shaking his head, ~ I am not leaving, Keir. Will you try to make me if I refuse? ~ He asked, finding the idea maddening. What was this one's problem with him? Was Keir's thinking like that of Z? Was he far to girly? Or maybe it was becase he was enought of a girl that Keir didn't like him? Maybe he didn't want to share? Was this all due to jealousy? His wings started to flap a bit harder to keep him aloft as they were shaking a bit, more anger and less fear despite who he was talking too.
Vorel glanced over at Chath for a moment before giving a bit of a nod, lowering himself down so that the newt could climb onto his back so that they could go back up and see what was going on.
Chath was quick to spray himself down again and then climb onto the frost. He...was a bigger than Keir. That was the major difference. As well his scales were a lot different. But he didn't care as he latched on and nodded his head.
"Ready."
Keir have a jerk of his head indicating a nod.
~Yes. My boy won't like it...but force my claw and I will...~ The growling sound cotinued deep in his throat. He wasn't pleased...not in the least.
Ligeia gave a flap of his wings then, lifting himself up higher into the air as he thought on it, thinking, and then he shook his head, ~ Fine then, stop me you arrogant p***k! I am sick of you and sick of Z and sick of everyone else that finds sport in mocking me! ~ He snapped before he caught he closed his wings once more and went diving down passed the Black. It was foolish... an suicidal, he didn't want to fight another Black the last time he'd done so he'd ended up with a broken arm and wing. Stress seemed finally to get the best of him, to many things stacking up for far to long... and Keir trying to take away Chath seemed to be the final straw.
Vorel looked up as he took off into the air and his eyes went wide as the owl was once more diving down toward them, ~ Ligeia...?~
The black had turned to watch as the owl made a suicide drop towards the ground. Idiot. Would serve him right to end up a bloody pulp on the ground.
Chath on the other hand, his eyes went wide with shock and fear.
"Geia!" He nearly screamed, "Pull up! PULL UP!" He tried to judge the speed he was going...where he was aiming...god he couldn't get to him...
"KEIR STOP HIM!" He asked...no commanded as he scrambeled off of Vorel to try and make a stupid attempt to break the owls fall.
The black started to move and then stopped himself. What...? Chath had given him an order. The sheer thought was a bit boggling but he felt compelled to do as asked as he then moved in a dive after the owl. Of course his hesitation would cost him precious seconds.

An Owl's Worries
(( Done with Jay via AIM ))
Geia opened his eyes and wings as he went down and he gave a sound of relief as he saw Chath, it was a strange sort of déjà vu moment. The first time they had really met Chath had tried to catch him when he was playing around with Vorel jumping off the roof of D-Corp. It only pained him more and he lifted his wings up to catch another updraft to slow himself in his decent. He hadn't thought to far ahead in his plan passed moving passed the Black Dragon and he realized that Keir was following him, something that caused his heart to race rapidly in his chest. His landing wasn't as smooth as normal, something he blamed on his roiling emotions, and as he touched down he took a couple rushing steps before he tripped up and then fell toward the ground with a squeak.
Vorel seemed confused as to what exactly was going on, he'd missed something... what the pair were saying while they were up in the air and it irked the Frost greatly to think that Keir, who he'd thought was a friend, had been being mean to his owl... that couldn't be the case, surely? But the proof was there... just look at the concern that Chath had shown when the two had stayed in the air overly long. He gave a shake of his head before trotting forward in a rush to put his bulk between Ligeia and Keir and seemed to puff himself up to looking as big as was possible before turning his gaze on the Black.
If the black had had any intentions of actually hurting the Geia it was hard to tell as he brought his wings out to stop his decent. He landed a few meters away bringing his wings in rearing his head up in a defiant manner. He made no attempts on Geia though the glower he gave the owl was probably enough cause some doubt in that.
Chath was at Geia's side instantly he went to help Geia back up, his hands moving around to make sure nothing was broken. After his first aid class at least he knew what to look for now. He then wrapped his arms around Geia tightly despite the fact every cell on his body protested in pain.
"Don't ever do that again." He whispered in the Owls ear as he continued to hold him reluctant to let him go.
There was silence from the Frost as he sat down on his haunches to watch Keir in an unblinking manner. Keir was... one he would mark as a friend, one of few aside from Ligeia and now that feeling was disolving. Keir, he was a danger he found himself thinking on the big black dragoness Aullol as another example of their kind, of that little black that had egged her on that day... and it seemed to only cause his hackles to rise a little, that entire family was dangerous, wasn't it? He'd been blind not to see that Keir was the same but felt as though his eyes were forced open and he didn't like it.
Ligeia blinked in surprise as he found himself wrapped up in Chath's arms, he sat there dazed for a moment before he started to shake all over and lifted his arms up to wrap them around the newt, leaning against him, forgetting for a moment that without the water to help such things were a bother to him, "I'm sorry, Chath... I... just... needed to see you..." He murmured, he squeezed his eyes close to hide them and the emotions hidden in them as it was a whole, confusing mix of them, "I don't mean to... to interfere and get in you way..."
Chath went to stroke Geia's hair as he felt the boy shivering and shaking in his arms. He kissed Geia's forehead lightly and continued to hold him despite that face his body really wasn't enjoying it.
"Shhhhs..." He murmured feeling really awkward, what exactly had Keir said to him to make him so upset?
"Your never in my way..." he reassured after a moment trying to figure out how else to comfort the boy. "I'm glad to see you too...but don't do that again...you nearly gave me a heart attack.." He continued feeling his beating heart finally starting to settle back down. He was ...too warm. The dizzying sensation was starting to overwhelm him, but he continued to hold Geia...he felt as if he needed to..
Keir didn't take note or if he did didn't show that Vorel's opinion of him had changed. As far as he was concerned he had nothing against Vorel. Geia was a nuisance. His tail flicked back and forth in annoyance watching them continue to hug.
Ligeia let his eyes slowly open so that he could stare up at Chath for a moment before he flushed, "I... seem to do that often, I'm sorry." He murmured again, he was always upsetting Chath, seemingly always needing saved. Was it because he was weak that Keir thought so badly of him? Was that why he didn't want him around? He didn't want to be a bother and surely didn't want to be a damsel in distress sort. He felt a little better now that he had obtained his own, felt... good and warm, forgetting for a moment that he had been poking at a Black and out right challenging him, stupid idea at best he thought.
His mind seem to suddenly cue into something, that he was wrapped in Chath's arms and warm, he blinked a couple times as he realized that he was also wrapped up in his arms in a hug. Ahh... wait... he lifting a hand up from his back, murmuring something quietly to himself, hand making a motion, drawing forth some water from the air. He didn't want to over heat the newt he thought, not again... he'd done that once already. It took a little longer then he would have liked given his currently state but a moment later it started to sprinkle though it would become quickly obvious that it was only in a contained area.
Chath felt relief flood him as sprinkles of cool water landed on his skin. He felt his body relax a bit, though he was feeling sleepy from being so warm the dizziness was passing at least.
"Thanks ," He hated he couldn't hold his boyfriend like a normal person...give him hugs and generally other things he needed due to his sensitive skin.
"Good thing I have a strong heart huh?" He chuckled, "I learned that newts can regenerate pieces of their heart...but..lets hope it never comes to test that out ok?" He chuckled trying to lighten the mood.
"What's wrong Geia? You seem.." He trailed off looking for the right word, "distraught...what did Keir say to you?" He inquired as he shot his black a glare. The dragon only snorted and then opening his wings took flight he didn't need to be around for this.
Ligeia drew back some from Chath, to allow him his space as he didn't want to hurt him by hugging him to hard. He looked up at him for a moment before dropping his gaze, "I... its not just Keir." He murmured, not wanting for all of the blame to fall upon the Black even though the dragon hated him. He looked down at his gloved hands for a long moment, flexing them, "I... what do I need to do, Chath? I don't think I am really worthy of you... and I worry about it. Z... Z came over today to hang out with Ter in his room. I don't think we have ever done anything like that... and I don't want to lose you again but I worry that maybe I am not who and what you want or whats good for you... because I am weak and girly." It was all said in a jumbled, breathless rush.
It felt like a anvil landed on his head, and by the rather dazed expression on his face he shook his head slightly to clear it. He was too warm he put a hand to his head as if it hurt...and in a sense it did. What was Geia going on about? True they had broken up ...before because the didn't see enough of each other but they were both so busy.
"Wait what?" he tried to figure out what Geia was saying and what he wanted.
"Y...you want us to hang out like....Ter and Zyanya do? do...you know what they do alone together?" He inquired his face going bright red. He then tried to figure out the rest, "Wait a minute...your not..weak...and..well..yeah i guess your girly.." he rubbed the back of his neck...being a blatant lie if he had said Geia looked like a boy. Since well the first time they had met...he had thought he was a she.
"There is..nothing wrong with how you look, it doesn't bother me that you dress like a girl.." He continued honestly. "Whats really bothering you Geia? You've never ...been so unsure about yourself before.."
The owl looked up at Chath for a long moment before glancing away, "I... know what they do and... is that a bad thing? I mean I guess it is since touching hurts, is that why you don't want to just hang out? I promise that I can keep my hands to myself." There were times when he didn't want to but he had self control for the most part, today just seemed not to be his day for keeping his emotions in check. He pushed himself up to his feet, allowing the spell to fizzle away as it was a bit of a drain to have it going constantly.
"I... this is how I am, really. I seem to think on stuff to much even small comments which was probably just her taunting me to feel better about wearing a dress but when she said we didn't even seem like a couple..." He trailed off and seemed to be shifting in place in an uncomfortable manner. He was acting silly wasn't he? One comment and he'd gone racing out of the house, battling black dragons, and making suicidal dives because he was panicked over losing Chath? It made absolutely no sense why would he...
Geia's dark eyes went wide all of a sudden, "O-Oh..." He breathed, sounding a bit surprised as though something had clicked.
Watching Geia a bit nervously he went to join him in standing staggering a bit though managing to catch himself his hand already on his spray bottle as he pulled it out and sprayed himself in the face. After a moment or two the feeling passed and he felt better his face..was still reddened though by Geia's earlier comment.
"Well...no..but...I thought you said..you wanted to wait...to..do that.." He fidgeted on the spot feeling panic creep like ice in his veins. Of course the stories he heard from his sister were widely exaggerated.
"Zyan is a lot like Keir... " He started realizing just how stubborn the pair were...
"Take her words as a gain of salt..as they say. IF your happy with how you look and how you are then I am too..." He continued with a nod of his head before he tilted his head wondering why Geia had that expression on his face.
"You okay?"
Geia looked up at him, "I didn't say 'Chath take me now' but... I... did like your kisses when we went swimming and... and you seemed more at ease then as well. We have a pool at our house now... If you ever wanted to come over to hang out you could swim there, as much as you want. I know I swim like a rock but I would try again."
He relaxed a bit as he explained about his sister and Keir being alike in their thinking before nodding, that was true enough. Both of them were so strong and in a way he envied that, he was to weak, to delicate and he had only his magic to make him seem stronger but even that he'd never really shown anyone the extent of as there had yet to be a reason to do so.
The owl chewed on his lower lip as he looked off to the side and his face colored, "Yeah, it just... it all suddenly seemed to make sense to me. All the panic I felt by her words, wanting to see you, even going as far as to so foolish tell Keir off to get to see you." He murmured, sounding a little on the breathless side as he spoke.
Chath's face reddened despite himself at the description that Geia gave even as brief as it was, he looked away afraid Geia would notice his uneasiness on the subject of being intimate. Of course he was interested...but...there were so many things about himself that made it seem impossible to get close. At the mentioning of the pool though he nodded his head, "Yeah sure...if you don't mind getting wet...I'll make sure you don't drown." He agreed remembering the kissing they had tried whenever water was involved. He then gave Geia a astounded look.
"You...did what? You t...told Keir off?" Chath's surprise was borderline amusement. No wonder the dragon had been so pissed off.
"I'll talk to him later...we've been...having some disagreements about things lately..so this isn't anything new.." He stated with a sigh before he tilted his head to look at Geia again. "Don't really follow you...what makes sense?"
The owl shifted back and forth on his feet before he looked at Chath, his cheeks a deep red now and he couldn't help a sort of shy smile, "I... ahh... Chath I... love you." He murmured, looking as though for once he might be the one to over heat as his wings opened opened up and set to quickly flapping as he tried desperately to cool himself off. It was the reason he felt so mixed up about the next, why he worried so much, why the need to see him and make sure things were alright had taken hold of and driven him to do things that were rather dangerous as well as foolish. What a powerful and intimidating sort of emotion.
Chath stared at him blankly absorbing the information a moment or two before his own face darkened he then broke into his friendly goofy smile.
"You silly I already knew that." He replied as if some part of him deep down had known it. Perhaps not acknowledge it but he always kinda knew. And in his own heart he knew he loved Geia back. "I....know I have tried telling you in the past...and I feel a bit foolish now to be the second to say it but...I love you too Geia."
The owl seemed more then a little delighted by the newt boy's words and he gave a happy sort of bird like sound in his throat as the admission of love was returned to him, "W-Wow... I feel so much better saying that." Not to mention being able to finally put a word to what he had been feeling. He took a step closer, pushing up on his tip toes, and carefully leaned up to brush his lips over those over Chath.
Chath was about to reply when suddenly he was being kissed. The..height difference was a bit of a drag but he didn't care...swallowing he returned the kiss gently. It often made him wonder how they came to be...as a couple they could be no more different. Geia was from the sky and he the water...in nature the owl would probably eat the newt...
There was a happy sort of sigh that escaped Ligeia's throat and he quickly clasped his hands behind his back so that they could continue to kiss and he could keep his hands from clinging to him as he felt the urge to do. He had to be careful with Chat and he would be sure to do just that, he didn't want to hurt his new after after all. It felt nice to be able to do that again, it felt like to long since they had last kissed... and he decided that he rather liked Chath's kisses.
