NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! Sometime in the middle of the night a message arrives on your senshi phone. You might be out and about on patrol, or already on your way home, or maybe not even henshined at the time. The message is short, only two words, and seem to have come from someone called AdminAsh: That is all the message says, there is no way to reply to it, and no further messages arrive later. Perhaps you ignore it, maybe you wonder, but shrug it off. And just maybe you get a chill creeping up your spine, as though someone, somewhere, is laughing maniacally. NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH!

NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! Not terribly long after the first strange message arrived on senshi phones, another appeared the same way, though this time it looked far more Official and the sender was Guardian Cat Ash, versus the previous AdminAsh. The first message would seem to have been a test of some sort... those familiar with programming and general computer languages might have recognized a Hello World program, but chances are that reference was only amusing to the one who had sent these messages. Guardian Cat Ash Greetings, Senshi. One of our fellows, Eternal Sailor Thraen, begs your attention for a brief moment to inform you of a call for all Order aligned people to gather in the ruins of the Moon City this month for an important discussion: Thraen July 12th, from 3 to 4am Ferry Points will be established around Destiny City. All senshi and knights are invited and welcome to attend a discussion on the founding of a coalition of teams and independents as a networked effort. The employ of this Black Watch is as follows- to establish & upkeep information, to provide supply and aid to those in need, to create regular interactions and foster a sense of community. Mauvians will cover the signatures at the ferry points as well as offer Moon Pearl Charms. All who stand for Order are welcome to attend. As stated, all Senshi and Knights are requested to attend and your assistance in spreading the word of this meeting to our knight fellows would be greatly appreciated. All cats who would be willing to serve as aura dampeners at ferry points may contact me, Guardian Ash, for their assignments. Moon Pearls will be available at all ferry points for senshi who do not already have them and senshi are asked for their assistance in carrying knights to the Moon. Phone upgrades for senshi are also available at that time from the cats who have learned how to perform the upgrade. I will be available both for demonstrations on how the procedure is done, as well as doing upgrades myself. NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! As you go through your patrol one night, you feel a sudden burst of energy, unidentifiable as Chaos or Order or anything in particular at all. Civilian news outlets interrupt late-night talk shows and football games to announce: Nuclear Detonation Off the Coast of England? Officials state there has been no nuclear test scheduled. One source, who declined to be identified, stated: "There isn't even supposed to be an island there."Whatever it is, it's certainly nothing good.NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH!

After what was apparently a minor detonation of some kind off the coast of southern England, it is now filtering through the ranks that General Avalon, corrupted knight of Earth, has fallen in the attempt to take a Wonder in the name of Chaos. Though there was no body found, General Arcelite* assumes no living being could have survived such a massive outburst of power. Though the exact consequences of her sacrifice have yet to be seen, she is currently viewed as a martyr for the cause of Chaos. It seems like Destiny City is always suffering from terrible night terrors!
But while some have been relieved of their constant affliction*, some continue on and are even magnified in concentrated clusters around the city area. Something restless but important seems to be shifting in the dream world.
*This is a transition of the nightmares leading up to the meta for use in a new plot. There has been a shift that has caused some of the nightmares to linger and possibly even increase in severity.

NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! Several bodies have turned up in Destiny City - and while they are different ages, genders, and races, police believe the murders are the work of a single killer. All the bodies are linked by what appears to be a message from the killer in blood - the words "FOR AVALON" and a quartered circle which would be very familiar to the powered folks of Destiny City... NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! The True Mirror has landed on Earth! There seems to be a great shift in the equilibrium, and with the mirror comes access to some interesting knowledge! In other news that is probably totally not related, those who have continued having nightmares that extend or worsen beyond the initial prophetic dreams of the dystopian future may felt something. Something very subtle and uncertain. Night terrors in those especially sensitive may have advanced to insomnia and very unpleasant sleep deprivation symptoms. NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH!

NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! It is a calm, clear night. The city is peaceful for one, not quiet— never quiet—but active in a way that might appear to be normal nightlife to an outsider. The scars of war are muted in the moonlight. To some, to those more naïve, it may almost seem as if the war did not exist at all. The uncommon tranquility of an uneventful night makes their hardships seem so far away, makes it easy to pretend that such things have not encroached upon their lives. And perhaps that is their biggest fault, and their greatest failure. Summer has ended, but the rest of the year stretches before them—a year of light, of hope, offering them all the chance for normalcy. The wind is warm, the skies are clear... And the moon looms high above, yet it serves as little warning. For it is a constant presence, menacing to some, welcoming to others, the cause and the resolution of so much anger and pain. It is not enough to guide them all forward; in many ways, it has come to hold them back. For the space of a few seconds there appears a smaller spec of light in the darkness. Too small to remain very long in view to the naked eye, and too elusive to catch sight of with the aid of anything more powerful. Few see it at all. It is there in an instant and gone just as swiftly. A trick of the lights, perhaps? A quick glimpse of a distant, fading star? Those that do see it soon dismiss it, its decent to Earth innocuous. In the midst of the city, in the silence of an empty park, the light lands undisturbed in the grass, beneath the protective branches of an old oak tree. It issues not a single sound, but rests there bathed in moonlight, surrounded by the glow of the darkness of the universe and the silver light of stars. When it touches down the light slowly fades, and in its place rests a small, old box, its wooden face gouged and battered, weathered by age and disuse. Upon its face, basked in shadow, is a particular symbol. No one sees it. Yet many will hear its call. The lid swings back on creaky hinges. Suddenly, from within its depths there drifts a cacophony of sound soon lost to the dark and empty park—music, laughter, screams of despair, and billions of voices whispering from the far reaches of time. They drift forward from the past, and they drift back from the future, colliding with the present in a warning for the ages. There is a voice for every distant star, for every hero slain and for those born to take their place. The shockwave is silent, but it spreads rapidly, carried through the city on the warm summer breeze. It reaches far and wide and touches everything, rustling the grass, the trees, wending down streets and alleys, until the city has been enclosed and bathed in its power. With its spread, the box is softly lit with white flames and disintegrates into the Earth. Its powers extend further, seeping into the ground the same as it is carried on the air. The box's presence might be brief and secretive. But many sense it. Time flashes before their eyes; their lives pass by in a fleeting series of images—the years they've already experienced, and those still yet to come. Quote: OOC Rules and Information This signifies the end of the meta! All memories may be granted to your characters in present day, with a few exceptions! Your character cannot know anyone's identity. Like the glamour that currently exists in the shop, they may know that in the future they knew someone's civilian identity, however in present day they cannot recall a name, a face, or any revealing details.
Memories may come rushing back to your character all at once, or they may slowly filter in! You may choose for your character to have some memories of the events that took place in the meta now and save some for later! These may occur either as graphic hallucinations or very vivid dreams! The dreams or hallucinations may be accompanied with a strange, distinct sensation that does not come with ordinary dreams or hallucinations, helping to distinguish them! (Or not! This is up to you and should affect each character differently!)
Roleplays from the meta cannot be used as growth, however if you are interested to see how roleplaying in the meta could earn you growth items, please check out this thread!
If a roleplay was started prior to October 11th, it does not have to be finished for your character to receive the memory of it. If you have more roleplays or plots that you did not get to finish during the meta, you may continue roleplaying in the subforum, however these RPs must be backdated prior to the public sentencing/Meta Close! Your character may continue to receive memories of roleplays you start after this point in time, however any RPs started during or after October 11th must be finished for your character to receive the memory in present day.
If you have questions about how much your character should remember, or about what is fair for them to remember, please contact the mule and we will answer you as quickly as possible! Almost everything major can be remembered, with the exception of identities! Minor things, or things unrelated to the storyline (such as the winning lottery numbers!) should not be remembered!
If your character was not involved in major events or large roleplays that’s all right! Any character who signed up or was posted for in the 'Where we are Now Thread' can have flashes of major events if you so choose—including every large scale event. If you have questions about what this entails, please PM the mule and we will be happy to clarify! If they did not participate in the roleplay then they will not have as much memory of it, however some glimpses are perfectly fine!
