"Well, first I think I should go over a few things with you. Your private chamber and office will be located in the East compound which is the Melee Quarter in the lower levels. Gather your bearings in this place for you will be required to know the Melee lore of Tor'afin as well as the blade. Know everything in that area so you can maintain it. In one of the rooms is the Sparring Room where you will teach my troops everything there is to know to become a good warrior. This room has different grooves on the walls where you can run your fingers over to manipulate the walls, to flip and shape into different battlegrounds to train your students.
Southeast is the Dungeons which is one of the places you will be required to patrol. I have Driders set as wardens. But they are instinctual creatures. Sometimes a certain order will have to be carried out.
You'll also be required to patrol the grounds. I'm not too stressed on the Courtyard or Stables but I'd like you to participate in the Gladiator. Once a week my lizards a fed with a handful of live prisoners and slaves. Its really one of the favorite events in the House. Especially when you give the victims some sort of worthless tool like a hammer off of a hobgoblin," Lariexith chuckled at this, "Its so humorous to watch them fight vainly. But sometimes it gets a little interesting when they start to use their environment."
Dismissing the topic, Lari pressed on, "Also, its the Gladiator where I would like to begin mount training sessions for my soldiers. So I will have you monitor that progression as well.
Keep watch over the outer premises. The stalagmites have windows and bridges which usually have shadow spells cast by my mages or doppelganger slaves taking the shape of drow to create the illusion that my soldiers are easy targets. Below those windows are small slits my archers peek and shoot from. On the walls are rows of darts that are coordinated by color to indicate what poison they are dipped with. Below the slits are portals which allows my archers to teleport from one stalagmite to the other. The black mist is another thing my mages control. It creates the obscured vision of our attack and positions should anyone ever attack our house. The Violet Mushrooms, Shriekers, and Wisp Lichen are also controlled by the mages.. and me. So you won't have to worry about the bio-weapons of the House. I have that under control."
The Matron then took up the forms and rolled them up as she placed them into her change purse at her waist. Then she reached in her top and pulled out a stone and tossed it to Flamgra, "This stone is given to every Noble. Its my way of communication to my closest Subjects. Keep it on you at all times."
The Matron then got up and walked over to the portal wall of the Guest House but turned around to face Flamgra once more, "My guard will be in here to escort you to the lower levels of the House. You'll be able to set yourself up in the Melee Quarter. Then I'd like you to appoint a new guard captain. This will be beneficial for you to complete all of your daily tasks. I might suggest the cloaked guard, Vic'tyrr, that showed you respect outside of the gate after you killed off my previous guard captain. He's an elder. He's known me since I was a child and has been on my side since I seized the throne from my own mother. He was my mother's Weapons Master when she was Matron but he chose to decline his rank when I took leadership. Why, I still do not know. But he knows the ropes and I'm sure he'll be a worthy partner.
Welcome to Tor'afin... Flamgra."
Lariexith then disappeared through the portal.

Flamgra smiled as he watched her teleport away,he awaited the arrival of Vic'tyrr. Once he had arrived, flamgra approached him and gave him a friendly pat on the back.
"Good to see you again,I'd like to make you my guard captain. I need the assistance. I want patrols done between me and you clockwise counter clock wise through the corridors; starting at opposite ends and then meeting up, slight report then some soldier training. I want my soldiers prepared for the morning, their training starts early so make sure they're rested. My rules are that everybody fights,no one quits; they wanna quit I will kill them myself. I know you're a former weapons master so I don't wanna tell you how to do your job. For the soldiers daily schedule it will go as follows. Wake up, 2 minute breakfast, any longer and lunch will be reduced to a minute. Push ups,up downs and squats until they're ready to collapse. Seven laps around the courtyard and on the seventh lap they pick up some training weapons and start sparring. Name of the sparring game is first blood: Not literal blood, but all training weapons are to be lined with red wax. The moment you are hit you're out. Last five men standing eat first and may have a 5 minute lunch. The rest get a 2 minute after the first batch is finished. Then we break for Lolth mass, after mass first ones back to the training ground get a glass of azure wine. I want these soldiers to strive to be perfect. Bribery tends to get them started. Sound good?" Flamgra said following him through the passage. He wanted to implament his plan right away. The sooner they could storm the surface the better.

Vic'tyrr smiled at the new, young Weapons Master, "Understood, my liege. I will certainly be looking forward to my duties tomorrow. Follow me, and I'll lead you to the lower levels so you can get accustomed to your new surroundings."
The new guard captain, Vic'tyrr then lead Flamgra back onto the path but took the longer fork which wrapped around the Guest House and lead up to steps that lead up to a larger House. The two walked up the steps and approached the doors. The guards standing there opened the doors. At first it was dark. They stepped over the threshold and the doors closed automatically behind them. Once the doors were closed, it seemed that the room became alive. Various forms of faerie fire flickered to life as gears began to slide over and work. The walls looked clock-work-like. They shifted, flipped, and slid over one another. Some doorways lead to dimensions of the unknown. The floors became missing puzzle pieces as they disappeared and reappeared in different patterns.
"The key to this maze is always stick to the left. The floors are less puzzle-like in this direction."
Vic'tyrr lead Flamgra down a corridor off to the left. Though the floor was not puzzle-like, the walls continued to shift and move. They followed down this corridor as it twisted its way towards the back of the House till it came upon a hole in the wall. Just big enough for someone to crawl through.
"This is where I cannot lead you anymore. I have to go back to my duties. Just crawl through this hole and on the other side you will find a mage that will summon a portal and transport you down to the lower levels."

Flamgra walked quietly behind Vic'tyrr as he followed him through the path. Once he had been lead to the portal, he walked through and was amazed at the size of his quarters. It was a much bigger place than he had ever had to himself. This would be a good base of operation, plenty of room to train, could be a great place to store books and notes. Regardless he could not rest now,he had to train the matrons soldiers in a few hours. He must be prepared.
Flamgra began walking through the corridors, he wanted to get his bearings of this place; nothing would decrease moral like their drill instructer getting lost in his own house. This was truly a marvel, his family was always poor. He had never been in a place so marvelous,it was nice; yet dark and twisted.

Lariexith returned back to the Throne Room through its portal door off the right side. Strutting up to the throne, she then triggered a spell on the throne. The back became like a portal leading to an enchanted safe. Taking the alliance contract signed by Gaundroth and the Commitment Form and Weapons Master contract signed by Flamgra, the Matron placed these scrolls through the enchanted safe and then dismissed the spell as the portal closed and became the usual back of the throne.
Lari then turned around and sat on her throne as she went into a deep thought. She had acquired a new member, made an alliance, and her daughter seemed to still be out with the archmage. Prepping him so that they could go and attend a dinner party at Aleanduis. Thinking about it now, they'd been gone a long time. Lari had requested that her daughter contact her with her Tele-Communicative Stone once they were prepared. It had been a good half day since then. Surely, it wouldn't have taken them, THAT long.
Lariexith then smiled as a thought swam into her head. She remembered that her guards had reported how her daughter had acted around the archmage since he had become apart of the House.
I couldn't have chosen her a finer mate. I'm glad she stuck to her roots and chose someone who bears a magical bloodline... Lariexith thought with a wry smile.
Now that she had her own personal guard and Weapons Master, perhaps she wouldn't need the Archmage for this task. That would give her daughter some time to spend with him. But this notion suddenly gave the Matron a cautious feeling. She remembered when she stabbed her own Mother in the back when she mated with her late Patron and lied to say he had raped her. The Patron was then exiled and Lari gave birth to Briza. Only to back stab her mother for the final time and seize the throne for herself.
Perhaps it would be a bad idea to leave a Priestess and a possible mate alone together in her house. Especially since the archmage has already shown his tactics to move Tor'afin onward.
Lari then took off her mace from its chain that had been hanging from her belt and began to gently caress the purple mote that was around her Throne, "You would never betray me, my Leviathan. Watch the House in my absence. And should there be anyone daring enough to take over...devour them."
Lari then replaced her mace back onto her belt as she slipped the Stone out of her top to place it by her mouth, "Bring me a guard to the Throne Room."
Once her order had been placed, she then slipped the stone back into her top.
Only a few minutes later, a guard appeared in the doorway to the Throne Room and approached his Mistress as he walked up the long carpet and went into a kneel as he bowed before her at a respected distance.
"Get a slave to deliver fresh fruit for Matron Zara and drowling toys for her soon born child to Gaundroth. Once you have completed that task... return back to me."
The guard then stood up from his kneel, bowed, and took off to fulfill his Matron's order.

Once the task was fulfilled, the guard then ran back through the Northern compound and back into the Throne Room to fall to a kneel before his Mistress, "The task has been fulfilled, M'lady. What other requests do you wish for me to complete for you?"
Picking her fingernails with the spikes on her mace, there was a long pause before Lari answered back to the guard, "Get me the Weapons Master. Tell him to dress properly for a trek outside of the House and have him report to me in the Throne Room. I'll be taking him on a small scavenger hunt this afternoon. See how well... he does... under a mission. Ah!" the Matron suddenly made a sound that sounded almost like she had pricked herself.
The guard, concerned for his Matron suddenly jumped up from his kneel, "Matron Lari! Should I send for a cleric! Isn't your weapon poisonous??"
"Venomous, actually. But be still. I just merely got that rock particle that's been stuck under the corner of my nail all day."
Lari stopped picking her nails for a minute as she starred now at her hand for a minute before noticing that the guard was still there, watching her.
"Well? What are you waiting for!? Go and get him!" she snapped as she swung her mace up dangerously.
Not wanting to get on his Mistress' bad side. The guard then fled from the Throne Room, from the Royal Sanctum, and began to make his way over to the Melee Quarter.
The guard found the Weapons Master wandering through the corridors. Just observing the place and developing his surroundings. The guard then approached him and went to a kneel before him, "Weapons Master! The Lady wishes to speak with you. I will lead you to the Royal Sanctum since you are new. But first, she has requested that you prepare yourself for a trek into the District. I have been told that your weapons are placed before your door to your private chambers. I will wait for you outside and give you time to prep."
The guard then stood up from his kneel, bowed before Flamgra, and then departed to wait for him outside of the Melee Quarter.

"If the matron wishes it,I will be ready quickly." Flamgra needed to lose some of his gear. Plate and a whole arsenal of weaponry would seem too suspicious, he needed to blend in better. Once inside his quarters, Flamgra removed his plate armor and left just the leather on. Sliding his combat knife and spider dagger inside his waist sash; one of his swords sheathed and slung over his shoulder. He wanted to travel light, but he would not be ill prepared. Grabbing his cloak from the coat rack he walked back out to meet with the guard.
"To the Matrons quarters then, and you. Are you just a guard or are you also part of the armada?" Flamgra asked calmly, examining he drow male. Follwing him down the hallway to the matrons quarters.
((Sorry for my partial absence. Was caught up in the event, but I finished it *shows of mace* so I am back.. Have you got one yet?))

Bearing a quasi-pleased smile on his face, the wizard gave a bow to the compliment as he took a step back to fade from the limelight of the throne room. For in moments, a flurry of activity came about as events began to unfold before him from a new alliance with an upstart House to the hiring of a new Drow to join the Matron's fighting force. Bearing a devious smirk, all the while, M kept a humble appearance as his mind once more drifted off to other things.
It wasn't long till he was alone. Unaware that everyone has moved onward while he was left locked in his own mind. Letting out a sigh, the Sorcerer began a trek back to the Arcane wing to do more research and perhaps daydream a tad more.

The drow shook his head, "I am just a common foot soldier, my liege. Of no real importance. While the other men will be training with you, me and my colleagues will take their place and guard the House. That way no outsiders will see that the House is left unguarded."
The guard then lead the Weapons Master North to the Royal Sanctum. The two passed the drider guards and crossed the bridge. The Royal Sanctum was guarded by a purple mote that was made of magical entities that went around and dripped off of the compound itself. A large shadow in the mote, appeared up next to the bridge.
The foot soldier stopped and held his arm out to the Weapons Master to stop him from going on his way, "Wait... be still."
The shadow remained next to the bridge for a long moment. Just then, it began to shrink as though it were sinking back down inside the mote. Its shadow getting smaller and smaller. Once the shadow was out of sight, the guard began walking like normally once again, "Come, there's no need to worry. That was the Matron's Leviathan. A creation made by the Matron herself, it keeps watch on the House and protects her. You're new here so it was just 'getting to know you.' I have a feeling there's something about to happen though. Leviathan has been more active today then it has been in months."
The solider continued to lead the Weapons Master all the way up to the second set of guards which were drow this time. They allowed the duo into the Royal Sanctum after seeing who it was. The double doors opened and the guard and Flamgra stepped over the threshold into the Grand Entrance Hall.
The first thing that stood out was the female drow statue with long robes standing in front of the stairs. She peered down sharply at those who enter with piercing faerie fire enchanted eyes. The guard lead Flamgra left, around the statue, and began to make up the stairs. Lining the stairs, as part of the railing, were stone statues of spiders walking up each step. Upon looking up, cobweb chandeliers covered the arched ceiling with orbs of faerie fire lighting the Hall.
At the top of the stairs was another set of double doors with guards placed on either side. The guards allowed the two entry. The doors opened and the two comes upon a wall and two sets of stairs that seem to curve up behind them on either side. The guard takes the left one and leads Flamgra up to the final landing. A double door stands in the middle and two doors on either side.
The guard approached the double door and bows beside it, "Here is the Throne Room, my liege. I cannot go beyond this point."
A scratching could be heard behind the double door as the doors began to open. All was dark inside except an acid green carpet leading up to a tiny light in the narrow room.

Flamgra shook his head at the the guard and continued onward. The leviathan startled him at first, watching it slowly slink in and out of the shadows. He examined the drow guards as he passed them,a puny lot. He'd be lucky to find a warrior out of the lot of them. The beautiful finish on the doors was astounding, such design.
"Thank you, now back to your duties." Flamgra nodded and entered the doors. The acid green carpet greeted him as he talk the long walk to the throne. He saw Lariexith siting there upon her throne; once he was within ten feet of the throne he got dwn on one knee, placed his arm across his chest and bowed.
"You summoned me? My matron"

Lariexith was sitting on her throne in a very unprofessional way. Her legs over one of the arms, her back and her right elbow on the other arm with her palm creating a rest for her chin. Her other arm was swinging her mace above her body in a absentminded way.
Once she saw the Weapon Master enter the Throne Room, approach her, and kneel. The Matron then whistled. Thousands of spiders skittered down from the ceiling and down the columns. The critters then made their way to the double doors and closed them before sweeping back up the columns to their resting webs on the ceiling.
"Welcome, Weapons Master, Flamgra. How do you like the House thus far?"

"The architecture aside, I am liking the look of the place. I am honored to call this my home." Flamgra looked up at Matron Lariexith, with that wicked grin of his. Slowly getting to his feet, watching the spiders scurry to their resting webs. Keeshe climbed out of his cloak and onto the top of his head, nestling herself in his hair.
"Keeshe,I thought I left you at the room. Regardless, I am enjoying the layout. Your guards look a little stringy, but I'm sure if they attend even one training session a week,I could get them up to snuff. I enjoy the conversation, but I have a feeling there is a reason to you calling my audience so soon." Flamgra said with a slight bow. He did not want to offend the Matron.

Lari grinned at the sight of the spider, "Seems your little friend is having a hard time trying to part with you. Could be a valuable familiar to have. There's a lot of spiders in the city. And no one is permitted to hurt one. Spiders are known for crawling in the tiniest of places..."
Lari allowed the comment to linger in the air before continuing on to why she had brought Flamgra here in the first place, "You're sooo observant," Lari said with a sarcastic tone in her voice, "Yes, of course I brought you here for a reason."
She then sat up in her throne and strapped her mace back onto her belt as she then started to dig in her change purse at her waist and pulled out a pouch and then tossing it at Flamgra, "I'm sending you on an errand. Go into one of the Districts and pick out a MALE elven slave. Make sure he's in tip top shape."

"Elf eh.. Well if that is what you desire,my matron. I will be off" Flamgra took the change purse and tucked it in his sash. Taking one more bow before his matron, then departing to his quarters. He set Keeshe down on his bend and stroked her back gently.
"I am going out for a bit, I will be back soon. Be a good girl and stay here this time" Flamgra gave his new friend one more pet, before using the portal in his room to warp to a stalagmite outside the gates. Venturing to the inner city, the sights and sounds were ll too familiar to him. The cities on the surface were always busy and crowded. Flamgra's cloak flowed behind him as he passed all manner of shops. Eventually finding a road side slave trader close to the center of town.
"Finest Slaves in all the city" The slave driver shouted from his caravan. Several slaves chained to his cart; Orcs, Goblins, Elves and humans.
"Prove that they are the finest slaves. I wanna see those two sylvan fight it out. The victor comes with me, the loser stays with you." Flamgra said, pushing his way through the crowd towards the stand. The slave driver laughed and unchained the two sylvans, they began battling it out until the larger of the two stood the victor.
"I want him" Flamgra pointed to the large male sylvan who was standing over his bloodied opponent. Throwing the coin purse at the slaver, grabbing the males shackles and tugging him along. The male stumbled quite a few times on their way back to the house.
"Welcome to your new home." Flamgra laughed as he entered the stalagmite he warped out of. Shoving the sylvan through, re-appearing in his room. Keeshe readied to strike the sylvan until Flamgra stopped her.
"No no Keeshe, this is a slave for the matron" Flamgra smiled at her as he extended his hand, Keeshe climbed up his arm and perched herself on his shoulder.
"I..I must thank you... That man wa.." The sylvan spoke but was cut short.
"You are a slave, you will speak when spoken to,if you disobey I will kill you,VERY slowly. I do not want to have to run back to town." Flamgra said shoving him through the door and guiding him down the hallway. Leviathan stopped them just before the throne room.
"I have a slave at the order of the Matron, I mean no harm Leviathan." He spoke softly as the creature slunk back into the shadows. Flamgra continued guiding the sylvan up to Lariexiths throne room.
"Matron Lariexith I have returned, I found the stronger elf male I could find. I made the slaver pit him against the others,so to rule out the weak." He spoke as the slave and he walked through the throne room doors.

Lariexith was sitting on her throne the same unprofessional way when the Weapons Master had seen her the first time. This time she was picking her nails again with the spikes off of her mace. She didn't look up at Flamgra right away. Instead she continued what she was doing for a good minute before putting the mace down and turning her head to look at the two, "Very good, Weapons Master. Now then, bring that Fae and follow me."
The Matron then stood up from her throne and gracefully walked down the steps, crossed the small bridge that went over the small purple mote around her chair, and passed the two as she headed towards the double doors.
Once exiting out to the Grand Entrance Hall and flanked by guards on either side of her at this time, the Lady takes the open doorway off to the left beside the Lolth statue in front of the staircase. This open doorway had steps leading down into a Temple. A huge two story statue of the Goddess herself was etched into the opposite wall. Her great face looming out of the darkness as her spider legs extended completely out.
Right by her lips there was a platform with a sacrifice table and a podium before it. As the Lady walked up to the platform, the guards departed and allowed their Matron room. Lariexith then turned around and looked down at Flamgra, "Bring the slave up here."
