Gyarados with Fissure . . . reminds me of one of the eps from the first season of the anime. xD
I guess it's probably the SS Anne episode I'm thinking of, after the boat was destroyed and they're sailing on that makeshift raft. James's Magikarp evolves and they start shitting bricks while someone mentions a legend about how Gyarados is known for destroying cities when it's angry. I think Fissure kind of fits the city destroying image of a Gyarados. >_>

Yea. XD But they only ended up using Twister/Dragon Rage [I think it was Twister more], and they just went through the ground.

Oh my stars.
Azalea Gym is spider-themed. gonk
*Huge arachnophobic. This is not funny, GameFreak.*
And sorry for the delay in news. I've been waiting for clearer CoroCoro scans to show up, because all the ones everyone has are pretty crappy. But I think I might just bite the bullet and put up the crappy ones, but along side the clear in-game shots the official site just updated with. :|

Okay, there we go. News is up, complete with crappy scans.
If you'd like to know what's going on in any of the screenshots, feel free to ask! I would've liked to point out what's going on in each of them, but I had no room. :C

Hopefully we'll be able to register more than eight numbers. That was so annoying. I mean, even cells made in '99/00 were starting to have more than ten contacts on a cell. I think. I didn't get one until '05/06.
edit:
Also, looking at the P*S GSC manga online, I wonder where that skateboard rumor came from. lol

We can register an assload of people on our PalPads, so why not in the phone?
And lol, yes. Gold rides a skateboard, and uses a pool cue (hence why I mentioned it in one of the earlier HG/SS Daily Catch articles ;O).

Melody Hikari-Shinu Anson I don't really remember the pool cue being mentioned. D= I fail. Tippy, on the May 12th Article And rumors are circling now, stating that the launch date will be late September (some sites are reporting it specifically as September 11th) and that there will be a skateboard key item that works in addition to or even replaces the Bike.
Oh hell yes. I've been waiting ten years to ride Gold's skateboard. Will we get a pool cue, too? Lol, no worries. *Pats.*

Maybe there's a pool minigame? 8O That would be effin' awesome. I love playing pool! [I love playing it even more electronically, because there's a set rule/etc and you don't have to worry about finding the cue and your stick will have a tip on it always and it's a lot harder to scratch and end up hitting someone in the balls with the cue ball... ]

*gets to the race chapter* Heh, maybe the skateboard'll change into a scooter when you reach Goldenrod. lol
I'm seeing a lot of things in the manga that might be the cause of all the new things in the games + source of rumors. o3o The "similar area, different looks" is something that I never saw in a game until DPPt. Heee~ I'm really enjoying reading the manga.

As for the game/manga dynamic, if I remember correctly, P*S is based off of the games (hence why in the DPPt arcs, they didn't reveal Lady Berlitz's first name until after the name of the third game was released).

I mean, that would be cool, wouldn't it?

TIPPY TIPPY. I FOUND PROOF OF WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT THE SENSE BEHIND HG/SS AND DPPT'S STORIES.
Tippy As for the legendaries... DPPt's theme was "none of this makes ******** sense unless you're high". Clearly, HG/SS's theme is "this doesn't make any ******** sense whatsoever". http://www.mangafox.com/manga/pok_mon_adventures/v13/c159/6.html THAT CONCLUSION IS ILLOGICAL. NO. NO. YOU DO NOT GET TIME FROM THE SUN AND THE MOON. And there's really been no stated connection between Celebi and the birds. Just that Celebi watches over Ilex forest as its protector, and the same to Relic Forest, and pretty much every other forest inbetween.
They ARE taking stuff from the manga now! O3O At least, that's my theory for HG/SS now. XDDDD; Didn't really have one before, but I do now.Wait, should this even belong in here? XD;;;;; Or should I start posting my stuff in the speculations and theories subforum? [Or maybe I oughta start keeping a log and post things after I finish an arc.]

But actually, it could be argued that Ho-Oh and Lugia don't represent the sun and the moon (in my Pokéverse, they do, but that's beside the point), but instead that they represent the sky and the sea, respectively, or dawn and dusk. Though I agree, that still doesn't connect it to time.
But since Celebi's just a time traveler instead of a controller of time itself, maybe their reasoning is MoI is using the combined power of two legendaries much stronger than Celebi, to catch Celebi?
However, it's too soon to say that HG/SS will follow the P*S GSC arc.

Well, they probably represent a lot of things. They have endless connections, as the Pokemon of Rainbows and the Pokemon of Storms, sky and sea, sun and moon, etc. I didn't even realize that they were the sun and the moon until reading the manga.
Yea, probably true, but then he ended up not using it. xD But hey, at least the rumors behind the GS ball being Celebi's ball's origins are known.
Oh, of course. But it'd be nice if they aligned up some stuff~ [Also, by the same merit of following the manga/anime, Kanto and Johto should have contests, since Ruby is g---metro for contests and won some ribbons out in Johto. And does anyone remember how Brock got his Vulpix?]
