I stretched my arms above my head and yawned as I walked down the street, until my enhanced vampire hearing caught a few key words out of a nearby conversation. 'Werewolf... Attack...Black Dahlia' I started listening intently, picking up a female talking about someone having better things to do. I jumped onto a nearby roof and edged as close to the pair as possible to listen.

V shook his head. "I could use the break." He tucked the letter he'd been reading a little while ago into his pocket. He stood and offered her a hand. "Here."

I looked down curiously at the male as he pocketed a letter of some sort, and I leaned forward, then leaned a bit too far. My hand slipped and i toppled forward off the roof landing in the front yard of the pair.
"Oww..." I groaned, rolling over onto my back.

Laura yawn as she wandered around town. She had been looking for an hour and was getting annoyed at how a dumb two-legged dog could hide so well, she had always found him before. I better get back and put my finding in a good spot. she thought. She then turned the opposite direction of where she had been previously walking and headed to the hardware store.
Once she arrived she opened her fanny pack and pulled out a strange looking skull key and gently put it into the lock and turned the handle. The door swung open with a creak and ahead of her lay a concrete stair case. Stepping in and closing the door she glided down the stairs and flipped on a light switch and smiled as she looked around. The room resembled the science lab at her school only it held information of Night World beings. That and bugs. Walking past the front room she entered another and a soft look over took her face. "How are you holding up? It's getting late you should try and sleep." Strapped to a table was a boy from school. He was hooked up to a monitor and a drip. except for a pair of shorts Laura kindly granted him he was nude. "Well, since you are up I think I can run a few more tests on you."
Laura smiled and put on a pair of latex gloves and reached for a scalpel. "Please don't panic, if you fidget and i cut you wrong, you could die very painfully." She grinned and began her work.

Bane tossed his hair back and walked into the hardware store. Irritation rolling off him. "Hello!" His voice a loud demand more than a greeting.

"Oh shoot. Did Tomas forget to switch the sign to CLOSED again!" using a cloth Laura wiped off her tweezers and set them down gently. "stay right here..." she thought for a moment and laughed. Where could he possibly go? Besides being cut open and sedated, he didn't have much choice. Running out of the room she closed the door and locked it then took a different stair case to the main office. Fumbling out from the back of a closet she opened the main office door and smiled, "I'm sorry but this store is closed. So please come back at office hours," she said over sweetly not actually looking at the customer as she was shutting the office door. She turned around and the smile fell from her face. "Great what does someone like you want in a place like this?"

Shaylene took Vitae's hand and got up. Th-thanks. She smield, but soon let out a squeek and jumped behind Vitae as something fell from the sky. She blushed in embarrassment. Well aren't I turning into such a girl? Bah. I blame sleep deprivation. She thought to herself and stepped back to the side and looked at the person who had fallen. Did you break anything?

I looked at the girl who had spoken to me and then it clicked that she had asked a question. I looked myself over as I sat up, and shook my head.
"Nope, I'm good." I said half-smiling at her.

((OMG!! I thought this thread had died...come to find out you all were just on vacation...lol...so I guess I'll just be starting to post...YAHH!!))
Kaitlynn pulled the hood up on her jacket, she felt funny tonight, maybe like someone was watching her. She couldn't quite place it, maybe her grandmother had sent another of her cousins to keep on eye on her. Why couldn't that women give her some space. She fiddled with the ring that hung from the necklace around her neck. On the ring was a black dahila, a sign of her her heritage. As she walked down the street she mentally ran over the list of things she needed for her next spell.
Nails, Candles, Incense, Ague Weed, and finally six crystals...
She couldn't take these things from her grands cupboard, she would know what she was up to then, so she was going to have to buy her own. She knew a witches shop along this road that would have everything, except for the nails. Witches around here didn't like black magic, which is what she was planning to do. She already had some other essential items in her blackpack, that was slung over her shoulder.
She knew of a hardware shop that was on this street, she just hoped it was still open. Luckly it was, and she stepped inside. Inside there were two people standing there, one a girl and the other a boy.

V blinked. "You are lamia." He stated. "Your not from around here either. Are you?" He asked doubtfully he had all the known lamia catalized in his head, of course some slipped under his radar when it came to the less prestigious of his kind, but it was still rare.
Bane arched a sardonic brow. "This is a hardware store, is it not?" He wore a greased t-shirt and torn jeans, cigarettes inside the pocket at his chest. His legs seemed permanently braced to jump into action. "I need a hydrolic motorcycle lift. If you have any in stock." His dark and smooth voice coated his saracasm. He glanced quickly and noted the little witch. Great! He thought. I'm stuck between a witch and a snippy shapeshifter.

Kaitlynn stopped at the door as soon as she realized the two where both night world people. They didn't look too happy with each other either. Whatever it was she was staying out of it.
"I'm sorry, must have the wrong store," she said quietly and backed to the door.

"Yes I am." I said pointing at the black iris tatoo on my neck. " And nope, I'm new round here. I'm sorry for, ya know... dropping in. I over heard some of your conversation and curiosity killed the cat." I explained rubbing the back of my head.
