"I'm not going to lie to you... it doesn't look good."

Colin nodded. He figured he would die eventually. He'd been left out too long without anyone except this man giving a flying ******** whether he lived or not. a certain soldier hadn't pistol whipped the only white mage into oblivion, he could have survived.

Then again, if that same soldier hadn't decided to release a volley of bullets on him, he would have lived, too.

Colin nodded at the offer of beer, his throat was too dry to do much else. The pain in his body was starting to recede. Either that, or he was going numb. He didn't care anymore. s**t hit the fan when they got parachuted in, and wasn't getting much better.

For now-

SMASH!

Vending machine got tipped straight over. s**t flew everywhere. But hell... at least he had beer now.

James took a couple cans back to Colin, along with some drapes that he'd ripped off of a window in someone's office. A makeshift pillow for the guy, and a couple of brewskies that would dull the pain a little and at least disinfect whatever holes in his stomach were leaking into the rest of his body.

"Here."

Man. The guy was ********.

Colin would nod in gratitude at James's attempt at patching him up. He felt like he'd be gone soon. He'd just need to try to hold onto consciousness, he needed to stay awake until that ******** White Mage prat woke up.

Lifting the beer up to his mouth, he'd take a swig.

It burned on the way down, which was a good sign.

Another swig, and he'd continue looking at the roof of the damned Water Plant.

How much longer?

[[And now AFK until sometime tomorrow]]

Tak tak tak...

Text messaging is going on right now. Thankfully, the phone didn't get too wet in the sewers there.

Looks pretty ugly outside. You got an umbrella?

Now

He was leaned up against some nondescript wall, holding his right hand against the side of his head.

The headache had gotten increasingly worse... as if he was supposed to be remembering something...or someone... but he just couldn't for the life of him, have it come to him.

Like trying to s**t out a huge turd and unable to do so with all your power.

All that was rambling about in his mind was the name of the city, the term GodKing, and the faint images of him facing off against a huge swordsman in the sewers...

He didn't know who this figure was, nor did he see anyone like that in the group he was with now...but he knew, with every fiber of his being...that this giant was his enemy.

And enemy of Frostchild... an opponent that only the GodKing himself could do away with.

For now, however, he was nursing his light wounds...as however Godly his power might be, he was still of mortal flesh and blood...which in of itself had been a painful awareness for him, once the adrenaline rush he had been feeding off of, wore off (thanks to the escaped tribute).

The Masked figure had assured him that they were going to find the people responsible for Frostchild's current state, calling him repeatedly by the name of 'Vahn' and 'Fah'...so he followed.

After all...he had dispatched the traitorous, limping monkey son a b***h tribute that had been offered to him in the temple, and then decided to make a run for it with broken legs (further insulting the GodKing of course).

More tributes for the GodKing.

The tipped over vending machine would yield plentiful amounts of cheap, canned beer that would be delivered in quantities of 12 oz.

And before you bastards complain, ******** yourselves. Japan has beer in vending machines, so clearly Gaia does to considering how ******** up the place is. If anyone else is going to b***h, we'll just say that it was an A~E vending machine and there's some ******** hard liquor in there too.

The sounds of heavy sobbing greeted him when he entered the room. Eileen was where James had left her, ziptied to the chair, doubled over as far as she could go, tears falling freely. She'd been crying long enough and hard enough that hiccups had set in, and combined with the occasional sniffle and cough, all she needed was a violin to look the very embodiment of misery.

The GodKing stood ever vigilant watch, waiting for the moment when his faithful followers would move out to fully secure the City...his City.

+++The bloodied Cyberpunk would merely stand off to the side. He was bored with the fights that had happened. Personally, he wanted to go ZOMBEH JOUSTING again. Though, it seemed like everyone was busy. Thus, he stood. Blood dripping from small wounds that hadn't completely clotted up yet. He was in pain, but he wasn't letting it show. He also still had the metal claw in his hand.

opaj sat in silence, keeping an eye on Vahn. He wasn't sure what Vahn's game was, but he hoped it involved tricking their captors into letting the hostages free.

Don't you know who I am? The Stone King had paused in His rampage and turned about to bear witness unto the results of His own destructive stampede. He imagined by now the sewers would be just about flooded with water from the broken main lines, and He was pleased.

Yeah, you know who I am. With that stone and steel would begin to melt, crumble or fall away where it was appropriate, the dirt and earthen moss slipping from the King's body like layers of flesh peeling off. The machine would shatter to thus reveal the man that lay inside it: Shouyin. Silvery grey hair was tarnished from the dust and rock that he'd been covered in for the longest while, his winter jacket was torn up in a few places and his rough skin was covered with small cuts and abrasions from where he'd missed the jump on forming a stone skin.

He looked like a mess - and his attitude fit - but at least the squad was doing well!

Angel would slowly open her eyes. "Oh god, my head is killing me," she'd mumble. Then she remembered why it was killing her. The ********' asshat crazy a** solider boi had done it to her.

She lifted her throbbing head. The first person it landed on was James. The man was hidden behind a mask. "Ones that hide behind masks don't have any honor." The words came out without thinking. She couldn't help it. Her head felt like it was smashed open.

And where exactly were they? They were no longer in the tunnels. She was very disoriented.

Gaby also sat in silence, glad to be able to sit up without an unbelieveble amount of pain. Truth be told, with everything that had already happenned, she had forgotten all about Vahn, and had not even looked at him.
She did, however, notice Shouyin. She might have ordinarily been afraid. she didn't know. But after having such a close brush with death, fighting a guy like that might not be as difficult.
