Shin never thought there would be a day that he would thank his naturally thin frame. Because now, how otherwise would he have been able to catch up with Raisuke and Shizuka? The pale-haired boy shot Rai a look of absolute annoyance before shoving a pair of googles into his hand. On closer notice, Shin was wearing googles too...on top of that...he had not gotten the chance to change out of his yukata. So. He was in an absolute rush to catch up with them. "Iwa has sporadic duststorms around this time of the day." He said simply, not bothering to elaborate further. Almost as if to compliment his statement, the path further down began to grow cloudy with dust until it disappeared completely from view.
Lovely. Shin grumbled inwardly. There goes Gig's trail. Looks like he'll have to use his doujutsu after all.

Just as the villagers and guests for the festival had stated, Giglamesh had definitely came this way. That and he had layed waste to the already wasteland environment. Rocks that were twice his size were smashed, sliced and diced. But Rai couldn't hold himself back do to his sensei's carnage. Rai was low to the ground, probably running as fast as a man twice his size and strength would have. His load of weapons not seeming to effect him. That was until he heard the wind. He was coming up on a huge dust storm that was a couple hundred yards out of the village. He would quickly cover himself as he slowed down. Crossing his arms in front of his face. His speed was cut in half at first, then slowed to a walk. He was having to push against the resistance of the storm. Having to cover his eyes with his arms. He was barely moving now because he could see at all. "s**t.." He would grumble, the sand striking his forearms would make him start to bleed a little bit.
All of the sudden, he heard Shin's voice and all the sudden had a pair of goggles shoved at him. He would slip them on before even acknowledging him. "We have to find him fast or we could freeze.." Rai wouldn't even wait as he started pushing forward again. He was worried about Giglamesh more than his own safety right now. And for Raisuke to feel this way, he had formed a real bond with his sensei.

Around five miles to the south any of the group of genins could see it a sandstorm so large it almost appeared like a dome of san a decent distance to the south. With the multiple rocks n place that had just happend to slide off to the ground from there bases, the cut so clean they felt as glass it may of been obvious where giglamesh had gone.

((In other words...only Shin could see through the storm by default. xDD Unless you guys can roll a 20 on the spot. Though we should hurry...dun wanna get skinned alive by the storm. And unfortunately, Shin can't manipulate air patterns enough to form a shielding dome of wind yet. =d))

Cronos would follow Shin though the shifting sands of the bad lands sand storm. The temperature dropped to what Cronos could tell that it was very cold.Cronos looked down at the sand and they would pass rocks that had been cut in half showing the crystal inside. "That must be Gig"Cronos kept up the pace with Shin. "Shin we must find them or else things could get bad"Cronos hated the wiping sand hitting his face. "Also I cant he see a ******** thing in this storm"Cronos spit out some sand.Cronos sighed he could not doing anything his ddoujutsu let him see though earth justu and that was it."Lets see I wonder"Cronos said to himself as he followed the crystal rocks and Shin

"Rai-kun!" That's when the wind and dust smacked onto her face. "Blech!" She spat out the dust and sand that smacked into her face, the wind didn't help at all as it blasted the sand into her face which felt like tiny little knives cutting into your flesh. "Oh no...Rai-kun! Please stop!" If she couldn't catch up to her then she will have to find giglamesh-sensei on her own. She could take the sand and dust hitting her face as long as it wasn't her eyes, she kept her mouth closed and covered her face as she began to walk through the storm. "This isn't going to be easy at all...If mom knows I'm in this storm then I'm going to be dead" But as she bumped into a huge stone, she felt around it knowing the clean cut couldn't of been natural. "Sensei..." She was right on track as she continued in her path.
(hp -1 = 8 hp left.
oi 9 turns in this storm and Shizuka is done for XD)

((Earth Jutsu means involving the ground. The stuff you stand on. And yours is seeing through earth-based Jutsus, not through the weather. Shin's vision expands by inclement weather and thus can veil around interrupting particles like in blizzards, sandstorms, duststorms.))

Rai didn't need to remind him of how cold it was. Shin was quite very well aware as he was in the middle of this...this...barren wasteland, after all, in a yukata that exposed his chest... But coming from a Hyouton clan, Shin was better pre-disposed towards the cold than his temporary teammates. His clan estate was colder by far in comparison...
Shin made a thumbs-up sign, meaning 'alright' as talking would be unwise now. Before he held up a gauntleted palm for the others to wait. Beneath his googles, Shin closed his eyes momentarily and when he opened them again, they were a lovely silver-blue...the colour of ice, of mirrors, of the sky and sea itself. Shin held up a handseal to focus on his vision, seeing around and over the sand in his vision. Very easily he located Gig's destructive path...the Chuunin having kindly left a path of rocks cut cleanly in two.
Shin gulped slightly, hoping Gig wouldn't greet them like that too. And hopefully, the others won't be able to see the rocks in the desert...certainly at least Shizuka would freak out. With what chakra he had left, Shin concentrated on estimating distance to the rocks by the wind patterns. From there, it was pretty much a straight path forward. Good enough. Thought the boy.
He motioned for the others to follow him as he led the way.

As they were walking, Shin formed the tiger handseal and promptly began molding chakra. He absolutely refused to allow his low chakra reserves to hamper him, being charged responsible of the others. The pale-haired boy tried his best to ignore the lashing sand...though gradually, he was getting used to it. His Hyouton limit had taken the liberty to numbing the pain for him...for the worse, probably. Great. Just great. Why is he bothering to go through so much trouble for Gig...? The Gig that took great liberty to beat him up with every passing opportunity? He must be going crazy...

Cronos even though he hated this found this exciting to be on his first mission. He would keep on following Shin and the others he took up the back since if anything would attack from the back Cronos would kill it. The sand was hurting him every time that they would take another step. He would think how much it ******** hurt each time to keep his thoughts of something else the cold. Cronos maybe was not in a yukata like shin but he was still cold. Cronos would see Shin hand move which mean to follow Cronos kept on walking though the whipping sand of the badlands to find Gig.
