Now that she displayed to Giglamesh that she was going to continue her training she was. The first place she was supposed to hit was the head of the dummy. She walked over to the dummy. At its feet laid the shinai which is where she had put them when she needed to finish the last jutsu that is required to graduate from the academy. Yumi was slightly reminiscing as she remembered the first time she had even step foot in the academy. It wasn't that long ago but for her it seemed like quite some time had passed since that day. She had met Hiei and they ran down the hall then slipped and fell over each other at the end of the hallway. They both laughed. Shortly after that they met in the classroom to learn how to become a shinobi of the great Iwagakure village. Yumi desired nothing more than to complete the training with Giglamesh and then show to her classmates how advance she was now.
I will prove to Giglamesh-sensei that I am worth training.

She failed to hit the dummy in the correct spot. She aimed well and tried to maintain the stance to the best of her ability and failed miserably. She didn't even manage to swing the shinai correctly. She stumbled over her own two feet and landed on the ground. She rolled onto her back in the dusty wasteland to avoid injuring herself terribly bad. There was definitely going to be bruises on her arms and legs. But that was not a big surprise. She was getting accustomed to the pain although she wasn't too content with that fact. Yumi stood up and dusted herself off to attempt to hit the dummy with the shinai again. She picked up one of the shinai's that she had dropped on the ground. Resuming the stance she prepared for another go at the dummy.
((I have finished the last academy lesson already.))

She tried to bring the shinai down onto the dummy's shoulder. She failed to do so. Unlike the last time she managed to retain the stance and not drop either one of the shinai's. Yumi managed to keep her cool even through the frustration of this training. She took a large step back from the dummy to prepare for the next attack on it. The shinai in her left hand was still inverted while the one in her right hand was held like a normal sword. She looked at both shinai's in her hands. She was wanting them to be real swords in her hands. In her mind she knew that she was ready to be holding actual weaponry, but in the mind of an academy student it was exciting.
I will prove to Giglamesh-sensei that I am worth training.

Yumi's daydream about carrying real weapons had obviously gotten the best of her. She missed the dummy and stumbled past it with both shinai firmly grasped in her hands. She looked embarassed as she stumbled. She tried to regain her balance and not land on her face, only to embarass herself more because she did. Although she did manage to keep her mouth closed so as not to get a mouth full of sand along with the sudden impact to the ground. She didn't stay on the ground for very long. She pushed herself up from the ground with both palms and brought herself to her knees. Resting both shinai in her lap she stared at the dummy. The daydream was now over and reality has sunk back into her frame of mind. She then stood up ready to attack the dummy again. Her stance was good as she had mastered that quite well by now. She hadn't thought about it but she had only attacked the dummy in the correct place once out of the fifteen times Giglamesh had wanted her too.
I will prove to Giglamesh-sensei that I am worth training.

Yumi was keeping the distance between herself and the dummy at a few feet. That way it would only take one step and then she would be able to hit the dummy. Well, that was the theory anyways. This portion of the training was taking a lot longer than the last section did. She was trying to keep a good mind set but with physical exhaustion having set in a long time ago it was getting really tough to maintain that. She wished that she had an energy pill or something of the sort to keep her going. Giglamesh announced the place that she was supposed to attack and she attemjpjted to. She brought the inverted shinai that was in her left hand in an upward slash towards the dummy. She hit the incorrect place on the dummy, yet again. Taking a few steps back she looked at the dummy. It was tattered and worn from all the hits that she had managed to connect with on it. However they weren't in the correct places so it meant nothing. And Yumi wasn't exactly proud of how she had been doing this time around.

This time she did manage to connect with the dummy in the appropriate place. Yumi felt extreme gratification from hitting it. When she swung the shinai in her right hand she took a step forward at the same time to bring accuracty into her swing. The shinai smacked the dummy hard and it wobbled a little bit on its post. She smirked slightly when she felt the twang of the attack reverberate through the shinai. She couldn't lie it felt really good to hold a weapon in her arms. Granted it wasn't the most powerful weaponry out there but it was at least something. As soon as the shinai stopped vibrating from the force of the attack she stepped back a few feet from the dummy again and prepared for the next strike.
((Yea thats my second time hitting the dummy in the right place. This is taking forever!!! But so when are the genin exams going to be taking place? And I won't be online alot after another half an hour or so because I will be babysitting. And whats with Roy taking so long grading the experience? I really want to know what I'm going to get for this stuff.))

((this one will take a while but you will see why later as this is actualy important.....1 to see if yumi has what it takes mentaly to continue threw the traning 2 to see if she has what it take physcialy. im not sure but the genin exams will be very soon, those that can participate in it will be pmed as the first exam begins. yeah he really does.......but it wont count for you till you get to genin, but when you do thats the third reason for it being so hard draw out your rping, in about two weeks ill have my laptop and be on more agin so that should make it not as boreing.))

Yumi wasn't quite comfortable with trying anything fancy in her maneuvering with the shinai just yet. She was sticking to the straight attacks. It was all she really knew how to do for now. But she assumed that part of the point of this lesson was just to get her comfortable with attacking in the first place. I wonder how Giglamesh thinks I am doing? She thought. This was intense training for an academy student and she wasn't sure how much longer she was going to be stuck in this desert. Its hot and muggy. Night times in the desert were always freezing cold and luckily they hadn't been there long enough for that to set in. But it was currently about midday and the sun was the hottest. Beads of sweat were dripping from Yumi's forehead. At this current point in time she was glad to not be sporting a Iwa headband or it would only make her hotter in temperature. She wiped away the sweat with her right forearm. She looked up at the sun for a moment which was not a good idea. A black spot appeared in front of her eyes that you get when you look up at the sun. She blinked quite a few times trying to get it to go away with no success. After she regained her vision, without the spot blocking it, she tried to attack the dummy again. Taking her typical step she brought the shinai in her left hand in an upward slashing motion towards the dummy. Missing by about half a foot she looked at the dummy. Her body wanted so badly to rest upon it and sit in the shadow that it cast. But she couldn't, and more importantly her pride wouldn't let her. She took a slow tired step back away from the dummy to prepare for the next command.

Yumi was starting to get sluggish and would at least need some water or something. She would push herself to the brink of her limits and she wasn't sure quite where that fine line was. Trying to not look tired and worn out she attacked again. This time trying to attack the leg of the dummy, which if in an actual fight wouldn't do much but annoy the opponent. As she hadn't mastered attacking fully if she had, it would have been a better idea to swipe the legs out from under the opponent to knock them off balance and give her the opportunity for another attack while they were distracted. She missed the leg of the dummy by a mile. Frowning she took another step back away from the dummy.
((Well I know that it won't get applied until I am a genin and thats fine by me. But I would still like to have an idea of what exp I would be getting, but whatever I guess this is just a lesson in patience. And thats fine I have just been trying to stay active in this so that I do get more experience and keep my sanity since I am still not working....))I will prove to Giglamesh-sensei that I am worth training.

This was a test of her endurance and she was starting to realize that. She brought one of the shinai's slashing across the dummy's stomach. Yumi missed the target area. She was supposed to hit the right arm of the dummy. So she was just a little bit off on where she was supposed to attack. Yumi sternly looked at Giglamesh. "I will not give up on this training!" She said firmly. The intensity in her eyes was fierce and displayed her determination. She took a step away from the dummy. She was panting heavily and waited a moment to catch her breath before attacking the dummy again.

Yumi had obviously done something right with telling giglamesh what she did. She hoped thought that he had't taken what she said as being cocky but determined. She moved her left foot in a lrger step towards the dummy. She looked fierce, more fierce than she did when she spoke when she spoke to Giglamesh-sensei. Yumi striked the dummy with great intensity and with quite a bit of force. She had a somewhat sadistic look on her face although that wasn't her intent. She was just happy that she managed to hit the dummy. She took a step back from the dummy with still a smile on her face and was ready for the next attack. Ever time Yumi hit the dummy in the correct place it kept her completely thrilled with her training and wanting to continue even more.
I will prove to Giglamesh-sensei that I am worth training.
