Oh noees. I have got a question. Last term I should've been a 7th year, but I wasn't really active. So does that make me a graduate? Or since Slytherin isn't always that active should I stay a 7th year? And if I'm a graduate what shall I do....

As a potential graduate you have two choices at this point:
1. Become a graduate, and think of doing the type of jobs graduated witches do. You can become a teacher, or you can visit our brand new Hogsmeade thread and hold one of its job positions. We're still in the process of figuring out graduate opportunities though, so if there's something specific you want to do, feel free to mention it (for example: we had this idea to make a ministry of magic for anybody who wants to role-play wizarding government matters).
2. Stay 7th year student. You should speak with Kaelyn_giselle about this one since she's in charge of keeping the Slytherin lists right now. I dunno how the other heads do it, but I won't graduate my Hufflepuffs if they don't want to yet.
...obviously this guild doesn't have a good system for graduates yet sweatdrop

No Problem whee Kaelyn asked me awhile ago, but I never got a response. So I decided to post it here. I'll process the thought and wait for Kaelyn to get back to me. Thank you. = u =

Speaking of graduates, we mods have been recently discussing making some big changes in the guild so that graduates will have more to do than just sit there and be graduated.
We just had a brand new Hogsmeade open up for the beginning of term for you all to play around with, but Summer_Breeze1507 has given us the suggestion of perhaps making Hogsmeade into subforum instead of a lone thread, so that when somebody wants to make a shop, they can make a thread in the subforum and have students visit there.
I think it's a pretty intriguing idea. My only worry is that we don't have enough graduates right now to sustain the subforum, so it may not be very active for a while. Plus, the mods and I have been discussing adding some kind of Ministry of Magic and Diagon Alley area... so if Hogsmeade is made into subforum, perhaps these areas should be made into subforums too? I'm assuming all these areas will just be for role-playing o_o

The recruiting contest is open for everyone. This is why we announced it in the Great Hall and in the Entrance Hall so it could become a public contest.
As for giving out points for the HM...I think there should be some points involved for those who work on the HM. The mods will have to discuss this, I think. But I don't have a problem with it if the other mods don't have anything against it. What do you think, Juni?
What do you mean by having the HM on Microsoft Word? Like have a download link for everyone to get to it so they can view it on Word? If so, I think it may be a difficult thing since everyone will not be enthusiastic to read it if there's work involved to get to it. I suggest you use the way it was posted in the past by moving the HM thread over to the next page and posting all the articles/sections in different posts (in document style). You can model it after the previous HM here. Hope that helps.

Points are a good idea. I think KT's former HM had a gold reward for everybody who wrote for the monthly. But I'd rather keep guild funding used for events and contests right now, so house points would be a good replacement. Especially since we've got this big term-wide recruiting contest going on right now.

how about 20 points if on time -5 for every day late... and an extra 5 points if done really well. But i will not post much in the hogwarts monthly room because we have 2 anonymous people. the paper might be a little late. I am missing quite a few columns.

Sounds good. Though I'd set a limit on how many consecutive points you take off for lateness since I wouldn't want certain missing articles to delay the Monthly too much. If a person is late for too often then perhaps you should fire them and find another willing writer ^_^' Or if it's just one person who hasn't got it done, you could go ahead and post the Monthly without him/her. It's not like this is the Daily Prophet, one article made with a monthly deadline shouldn't be hard to make when you sign up for it O_o

Mine column is in. Since tomorrow is March 31st (in the US) mine's not late. biggrin Yay! [[Actually it's now today in the US, isn't it... by which I mean it's the 31st. My column still isn't late, though. It is quite long however, which could be a little interesting.]] sweatdrop [[I always (well, 99.5% of the time) manage to meet deadlines somehow, even when I'm extremely busy like I have been these last few weeks. ]]
Sorry if I kind of rambled on. It's late. I'm going to bed now...
