"Of course I am! Where else would I be? I left the London office about six months ago, and I've been putting up with that Nazi s**t the entire time. Only reason I'm still alive is that he couldn't run half of this complex without me. Where have you been brother? Where's dad? He came with me the day we arrived, and I haven't seen him since! He's ok right?"
"Nathan is fine, now make sure you get the ion converter tuned up. Oh and don't forget the-"
"The IFC transponder, got it." He jumped back onto the ceiling, where the clattering of pipes and metal could be heard. Something caught the light as it fell, and a ratchet clattered to the floor a moment later. "s**t! My bad!" he yelled down.

.... Technical jibberish. Music to Ialo's ears. "So, I came to stop something from catching on fire. Why are you here, Riser? It wasn't too long ago that you were doing your fancy alchemy back at the school." Ialo cocked his head, and crossed him arms.
"Wait, six months? Where the hell have I been?" He suddenly remember, that he had no grasp of the time between his night with Luna, and when he woke up in the labs. He had been telling himself he had been gone a week, but... he just didn't know.

Athena didn't know what was happening, or half of what was being said, but she absorbed as much information as she could.

Ialo also recalled that he had a student with him. "Ah, Athena.... that's Zephyr. Zeph, this is Athena. She's a student at the school... Oh, but you helped me compile the list, so you would know anyways."

Athena nodded for a moment. Zephyr, huh? Weird. And he was apparently quite close to Ialo--heck, they even smelled the same. It was kinda freaky. But they could just be, like, twins or something. Even if usually people (twins included) had their own scents and it tended to be quite distinct...

Riser looked to the young girl, she stood there just brimming with questions.
"That, miss, is Ialo's artificial twin. He's a creation of mine, a personal favorite at that. I took your friend Ialo's blood a long time ago and made Zephyr with it. After I left for awhile they became like true brothers, the Enlil's even adopted him if I'm not mistaken."
"Haha yup that's me!" He said, dropping once more from the ceiling. His toes were opposable and quickly his left foot had gripped the fallen ratchet and tossed it up to his hands. He still sported the bicycle shorts he had found at a resale shop years ago, but his military jacket was unbuttoned and torn to shreds either from his constant skittering in tight metallic places or from combat.

"ugh never mind I know him now." With a face palm Kai looked past riser seeing a pair of circles bouncing up and down as they slowly grew. "Hey guys I don't mean to interrupt but what the hell is that?" as her spoke the circles stopped moving and simply stood the disappearing and reappearing as if it were blinking.

Athena's lips formed an 'o'; this explained why Zephyr smelled so much like Ialo. She stared at him. It was very unusual. Interesting. Weird. He was artificial, made from a sample of Ialo's blood. Athena wouldn't lie; that sounded totally cool.

That still didn't answer Ialo's question about why Riser was here, or how long he had been gone, but it was alright. He didn't think he was quite ready for the answer to that second question.
"And why did my dearest brother allow something as simple as an oversized DC converter to overheat? Seven's alarm went off, did you know that?"
He glanced over to where Kai was pointing at. "... Floating lights?" he guessed.

"Wait, the alarm went off? Huh. Maybe the converter going crit blocked the signal? I don't know, I'll look into it though."
"Honestly Ialo, do you think that I can't contain an overheated machine? If it went too far I was going to stop it long enough for Zephyr to repair it, but someone had to ruin that plan."
That grin, it was still there beneath the hood and the darkness. Everyone in the room could feel it piercing their consciousness like a thousand heated knives.

Zephyr's wrist comp began to beep, and quickly he looked to the lights and back to the group.
"Riser!"
"I'm on it, we need to go, now."
He flashed his remaining hand in front of him, and a small tear formed and began to spread, leading to a view of the outside world up above in Zurich.
"Everyone in, get a ******** move on!"
Zephyr ran towards the lights, only to come back moments later.
"Ialo I just got sat-com intel on the reactor core! It's going critical, and it's the one damned piece of machinery in this building that I can't stop, now lets go!"

Ialo looked from Zephyr to Riser, to Kai, to Athena, back at Riser, and Zephyr again. "******** A!!!! I HATE MY LIFE!!" He grabbed Athena by the back of her shirt, and tossed her into the tear. "Kai, worry about your little lights later!"

Athena let out an undignified yelp as she was grabbed and promptly thrown into the tear that showed some weird down.

"I'll be fine he sighed noticing the light were back dashing towards them." He smirked with a wave behind him towards Ialo. "I have a feeling we'll find out." He chuckled stepping through the portal.
The light continued to dash forward a a break neck pace.
