The sisters had greeted Thea and React pleasantly when the two first came over and agreed to watch the new kit for a moment. While the young one ate, they listened with alert attention as Thea made her announcement, and it came as quite a surprise to everyone when shortly after her kits were born. React trotted over happily to check out the new BCRs, and just as the sisters were padding over the brief dispute took place between Ari and Thea, making for a bit of a tense atmosphere.

Kin'iro had remembered that Ari had never been particularly fond or trusting of Anjafey, but she couldn't exactly remember why. Perhaps something had occurred before their time or when they were too young to realize it, but she thought the purple vixen would be quite capable of caring for the BCRs. "Congratulations," she said softly, a small smile on her face as she stepped over next to Thea and gave her an encouraging nudge. "I know you will be a wonderful mother."

Yudoku wasn't very comfortable with the tense atmosphere that had ensued. This tribe had already endured quite enough drama as it was since she could remember, so there was no need to add any more to it than was necessary. Besides, this was supposed to be a happy occasion. Summoning up all the cheer she could muster, she said, "So let's get this celebration started, shall we? Any special meal requests from the birthday boy?" the huntress asked with a smile, directing the question towards Ari. She was game for trying to hunt down something specific rather than whatever just happened to be about, and perhaps if she were to be cheerful it might help spread the proper mood around a bit.

The scent that waffled up from the territory was almost instinctive to the shadow that sat on it's borders. It held it's head up and eyes closed and could remember pictures in his head of the past. He could even remember each little hole in the territory. Silently the shadow sighed and stood up and started walking into the territory. As he walked he couldn't find a common scent so he guessed no one replaced him at his job. His yellow feet carried him forward as he started hearing sounds.

Rendo was nostalgic as he moved slowly toward the group remembering the good he had before he left and the hurt he felt when he did leave. As he walked he caught several extremely familer scents. Ari his old friend and pack elder. Nato the shamon he remember had rocky relationship if he remember correctly. Then he caught the one he knew extremely well since they had been mates Anja. He remember the hurt he had but didn't feel it. His time away had healed the wound and brought up his maturity. Although he didn't know how she would feel.

As he walked he had a smile on his face as he walked he caught a glimpse of purple through a bush and the mod that he also carried on his shoulder. The smile didn't leave but he kept following Ari's scent. As he walked he felt the wind shift toward her and knew it carried his scent. He would have to talk to her later, but he let her chose it.

As he got closer he stopped away from the group new faces he didn't know and came after he left. His smile widen as he saw Ari, "Is that the old elder who let me join the original pack or is that just an old fox who might remember his old scout friend." He said it maturely, something the old him wouldn't of done. He smiled brightly and moved his tail to show his clan mark, slightly faded with age.

((I'm sorry I've been absent. I will have Shai and Nuishan come back soon.))
PostPosted: Thu Jul 01, 2010 6:39 pm

((This time I'm back for real. I've had a hard time lately, but Shai and Nuishan have returned for good. Well, Nuishan will return later with a surprise. Shai however is back! Also, I'm changing Nuishan and Shai's sibling status to twins.))

Shai's white body twitching, making the black thorn like markings twitch against his body. He had left for awhile, for many many months at that, again. He had news of his mother being in trouble, and had gone to see her with Nuishan. The hunter realized he would probably be forgotten by now, or maybe hated, but he was willing to risk such anger from fellow clan-members. He was home, and certain they would hate him for leaving, but he would try and restore what he had broke, friendships and a potential love interest long ago.

His eyes watched the tribe, nearing in on the location of it's home. He smelled his tribe members, and his ears lowered slightly. He dreaded the idea of their anger, or maybe having forgotten the swift footed hunter. As he approached the home, he slowed his pace, so not to alarm anyone. He smelled...a celebration underfoot? Would he be intruding?

He padded into the clearing of their home, sitting on his haunches and silently watching as the tribe seemed to pulse with excitement. Confusion flickered across his face. What...was this?

Hala spotted two foxes it did not recognize approaching tribe lands. It stepped toward them, to stop the pair of intruders--then stopped again, as it came close enough to recognize the tribe tattoo that both bore. It did not question why these two had left the tribe for so long, that it had never seen them. It was not its place to question such things--those fell to the elder. Instead, it simply told both of them "Welcome back. Elder Ari is over there--the tribe members are throwing a 'birthday party' for him."

Another thing it did not understand. Another thing it would not question.

Ari was somewhat placated to see that Anjafey seemed to be handling the BCRs with care. For now. He wasn't sure how long that would last, but...he couldn't exactly go back on it now. Not after what Thea had said about wanting the kits to be raised by the whole tribe.

"They will be," he promised her.

He quickly nuzzled the two kits by them, because he could see something was bothering them, even if he couldn't figure out that he himself was part of the problem--and then the twin sisters were back, and he had to talk to them now.

He grinned sheepishly at Yudoku. "Thea and..." he looked over at Thea, forced himself to say the next "...Anjafey...seem to have got everything already." He nodded over at the pile of food already gathered.

"Do you want anything in particular?" he asked Thea, because, celebration in his honor or not, she had just given birth, and could hardly walk at the moment, and so that was rather higher up the priority scale in his mind.

Shai nodded at the creature he did not recognize, heading straight for the Elder he could remember from before. He spotted Thea, heart fluttering ever so slightly. He could still remember his crush from before on her, however shoved it aside when he heard and smelt the BCR's she must have recently given birth to. He was mature now, not the energetic hunter that used to brag of his skill when he first joined.

"Elder." He whispered, bowing his head before Ari. "Happy Birthday." He respectfully said, looking at Ari with an apologetic frown. "I'm sorry I've been gone far to long. Troubles at home were calling. My sister will return soon." That was all he spoke before glancing at Thea, smiling quietly.

"Congratulations." He murmured before sitting on his haunches, unsure what to do but knowing it was best to try and catch up on what he had missed.

Rendo blinked and stared up confuse at Hala. "Uhh...your a dragon." He said blinking as he looked at Ari then Shai in wonderment. "Your a big dragon...when did we get a dragon-urh umm guardain?" Rendo asked looking around confused.

Well he has been gone for a while. "Umm Sir...you are a guy right? Umm better yet forget it. I haven't been back in a while. Everything been alright?" He asked looking at Hala in wonderment.

Shai noticed Rendo conversing with the Tribe Guardian. He hadn't seen it before, but like usual, he was showing it no attention. Shai had the ability to pass unusual events without even stopping to take a glance. If the tribe was not responding to this creature, than it was obviously not a threat.

"I don't think the guardian is terribly amused." Shai called out to Rendo.

Thea smiled down at little React as she curled up against her side, then wrapped her tail around the little body and gently tickled her cheek with the tip of her tail.

"Don't worry," Thea murmured quietly, just to her, "all the fighting is over,"

And Thea was content to closer her eyes again, but then Ari asked her a question; she shook her head. "No thank you," she offered him a tired smile, then added, "but thank you for offering. Now go on, eat something--it is your birthday after all," And Thea smiled wider up at him, hoping to help pull him out of his dreary mindset.

But the smile froze in place as she heard an all-too-familiar voice: Shai. She was sure for a moment her heart literally stopped, only to kick back into overdrive as he murmured his congratulations.

"T-thank you," Thea answered, blushing as she looked firmly at her paws. Why was he back? Where had he been? Why had he left without telling her?

Shaking her head quickly to clear it, Thea gave her belated thanks to the twin girls, then rested her head back on her paws and shut her eyes tightly. Immediately after giving birth was not the best time to get reacquainted with an old crush.

And before she could get in an argument with herself about whether or not he had been more than a 'crush', Thea sighed and willed herself to be invisible, so everyone else could enjoy the festivities.

Shai glanced at Thea when her head lowered, sighing under his breath gently. He was disappointed, he had to admit. Then again, what he had expected? To return and her to have waited for him? No, he had left without warning. He had to, he knew this. The situation was a dire one, he needed to return home at the moment. Of course she had a mate now and had children, she was gorgeous after all.

He couldn't care anymore. He needed to let those feelings go. She had been special once, now she was just a tribe member. He had let her go, no, he had let everyone go when he ran off. He needed to start being a part of the tribe again. Thea was off limits, the birthing was proof of this. He couldn't let his feelings get in the way. He hadn't thought he'd still feel wobbly around her after so long, but he did.

He padded over to a small corner, keeping to himself, feeling awkward as the other foxes celebrated. He only remembered a few, Rendo, Thea, Ari, Anjafey, and some other foxes that traveled about. Rendo seemed to be returning as well. Apparently he wasn't the only one who had dashed off.

He waited patiently for his sister, wondering why she was taking so long. She had to be back soon, she hadn't left but a few days before him, and he had taken a few days to rest to let her catch up. He would feel more at home when she returned, she would know what to do. What to say.

It seemed that, today, Lumos had picked up his brother's propensity for poor timing.

The Modiphim had flown most of the day ahead of a storm--something he was unaccustomed to as a nocturnal fox. His biological clock was off-kilter now, and Lumos had attempted to find somewhere secure to recuperate for the night. So, naturally, when he'd seen a group of foxes milling about in the middle of the night, he'd decided to use his diplomatic skills (another thing he shared with Helios) to try and ask for a night's stay.

But aftering landing in the trees behind the group, Lumos had heard the tones of voices around, and it didn't seem like this was a particularly happy group. And of course there was the tribe guardian on the edge of the gathering--the Modiphim had stumbled on what seemed to be a tribe in distress.

...Oops.

Lumos mentally sighed at his own bad timing and ran over the list of the tribes he knew. Akatsuki, Gypsy, Kousetsu, Lunarie and Bateau were the only ones that hadn't disbanded. Being able to contact Modeities meant he'd learned the basics of each of them, and Lunarie were the only nocturnals.

Well they were a peaceful sort, right? Hopefully their Guardian wouldn't feel the need to defend its tribe with the horns on top of its head.

Lumos stepped forward to address the Guardian, not wanting to disturb the tribe that seemed to be occupied. "Guardian," he greeted it with a respectful bow of his head. "I apologize for intruding on your tribe. I can be gone now, but I thought you should know of my presence here."

The Modiphim tilted his head to look at black, red, yellow and blue male who was stuttering over his words in front of the Guardian. Lumos' lips quirked in a smile at the other's wonder and confusion, but he smothered it quickly--it wasn't fair to be amused at the expense of the other just because Lumos was familiar with the genderless Guardians.

Rendo looked over at Shai when he spoke to him and shrugged a little. He didn't think Shai liked him all that much but he had to work on that.

As he heard the sudden voice of Lumos he looked at Lumos confused. He had heard of Modies with wings but took it as a urban myth. He saw the smile and smiled himself. "Yeah, I haven't meet a guardian before. And I got a thing for dragons so yeah." He laughed as he looked the fox over and couldn't find a Lunarie tattoo.

"Umm I think your looking for Ari, our elder. He's talking about our latest kits right now. It might be best to wait, he's seems irritable today." He watching Ari.

"Hm, so it would seem," Yudoku remarked, looking over at the indicated pile of food. She chuckled lightly. "Guess I wasn't the only one up early then. Alright, party time then!" Her ears perked as an unfamiliar voice addressed Ari, and the vixen turned to see not one, but two unfamiliar males approaching. However, they both had the tribe insignia on them. Had she seen them before? As a kit perhaps? Actually, yes, they did seem rather familiar thinking about it, but given how long ago that must have been she suddenly didn't feel as bad about her own absence from the tribe.

Kin'iro too surveyed the two males with silent interest. It had been quite a while since she had seen either of them around the tribe lands. "Welcome back," she said with a smile to the two. It would be find if they didn't remember her or her sister; much time had passed while they had been away. It was just nice to see the tribe being reunited again. Especially considering recent events.

Both females looked over at the presence of the unfamiliar winged male. Oo, a phim, Yudoku thought to herself in admiration as she looked the stranger over. She and her sister had seen a few of them while away from the tribe, but she always found them to be interesting nevertheless. And certainly more personable than the modideavas.

Nuishan padded up to Lunarie land, her eyes searching the area. She could smell many foxes, some old scents she recognized, and some she did not know. What was important was that her mate, Rendo, was among the tribe members, and so was Shai. Her brother and mate had returned to the tribe before she had, for she had stopped to catch some kill for the tribe. The proof dangled from her jaw, a dead rabbit that seemed to be freshly killed.

The female stopped her walk though when she saw a dragon like creature by the Lunarie land, nearly dropping her rabbit. What was this...thing doing here? It hadn't been there before. She approached the thing, dropping the rabbit before it and tilting her head.

"Hello? I realize this may be rude, and I apologize if this happens to be rude, but why are you on Lunarie land? I'm Nuishan by the way. I'm returning home after a travel of sorts."

Shai heard his sisters voice, head jerking up. She was speaking to the tribe guardian, and seemed to be not even startled by the creature. Of course, she was a bold little female, always had been. He headed to her, sitting beside her and staring up at Hala. Nuishan glanced his way, and licked his cheek, her tail wagging.

"I missed you, Nuishan!"

"I missed you too!"

Ari stared at the black and white fox for a moment, trying to place him. Obviously he had been in the tribe before--he had the tattoo, after all--but he had been gone so long, Ari could hardly remember him. Time to fake it until it finally clicked.

"Thank you, and welcome back. I look forward to seeing your sister again...Shai." There, that was his name. He could barely remember Shai's sister, either, but perhaps that would come back to him too.

Ari watched Thea go over to Shai, and frowned, just a little. Had there been some history there? He couldn't remember at the moment. From how the two were acting, it certainly looked like it, at least.

It took the guardian a few moments to understand Rendo's questions. "I was sent some moons ago, to bring the news of Elder Kazuki's death, and to assist Elder Ari in running the tribe." It considered a moment when Rendo asked if it was male. "No. My kind does not have genders, as yours does." Considered again. "If you wish to refer to me as male, I do not object to that, however."

It eyed the new fox, considering whether the 'phim would pose a problem to the tribe. No, it did not think so. And the little fox was right, an issue such as this was for the Elder to decide, not for it. "If you wish permission to stay the night, you should ask that of Elder Ari, not myself," it told the 'phim.

Having decided what it told the 'phim was enough, it then turned its attention to the third little fox to approach it. "I am here because I am the guardian of the tribe," it said, sounding almost a little confused. It thought that its purpose here should be obvious enough.

((Well, so much for me thinking Hala was female leaning :p ))
