Kai gasped as all four of his tendrils were pushed back at once throwing his back a few feet. "Damn this thing doesn't like me." He grumbled gently placing his tendrils back on the core. "So seriously how much longer before we can get the hell out of here?"

"One.... two.... three!" With a great flourish and a flash of sparks, Ialo detached the final cable. Finally, all thirty cables were unplugged. There was no power going into the converter, and there was no power going out. Anything that relied on direct current in the building had no power.
The converter was still hot though, hot enough to be glowing, and smoking slightly. Some parts would have to be replaced, but at least there was no explosion.
"..... Great, now we're waiting on Athena."

It was at that moment that Athena bounced back up from the black-cube place and into the room, being just careful enough to not get injured. "I'm ba~ack! Didja miss me? Oh, here's the black box thing." She smiled, holding the box out to Ialo.

Clapping filled the empty spaces around them; the machines were loud, but the sound shone through as if entirely in their heads.
A strange and familiar figure stepped out from behind some horribly malfunctioning machine.
"Just what in the hell do you think you're doing?"

Kai Drained the core of the rest of it's energy turning his skin tint into a light blue for a second before changing back.
the clapping hadn't really taken him by surprise, he simply turned around changing to his angelic form. "Oh jeez you again? didn't we get enough of you for one century?"

Ialo had just snatched the cube from Athena, anxiously looking it over, and smiling weakly at her for retrieving the precious mainframe - that's what it was. It was Zero, the server Ialo built to serve as a home base of sorts for the satellites to report to. Without Zero, he would lose thousands of files and codes that could not be replaced.
He looked up, searching for the source of the clapping, and saw Riser. Immediately, he tensed up. "Oh, so I'm the twisted one and suddenly this is YOUR lab? No."

Athena froze, and stared at Riser. She didn't know who he was or what he was doing--or, really, anything about him. She just followed Ialo's lead, hoping that at some point everything would actually be explained to her.
...She somehow doubted that. But this was the wrong time to ask.

"When will you learn!" he screamed. Once more regaining his composure, if he had ever lost it, he continued. "I never said I was using your lab for our research, but there's a certain someone who's just as entitled to this equipment as you are."
A figure could barely be seen dropping from the ceiling somewhere behind him. As he spoke, the figure came up and stood behind him, just out of sight.

Ialo found himself leaning into Riser's scream, rather than shirking away. He was furious - still wondering why Riser kept saying 'our'. "If you... if you are talking about Krauser..."

There was that name again! The one from earlier! 'Krauser.' What was it? Or who? What about this mystery person grated on the Headmaster's nerves? ...or whatever it was?

"******** halfwit, I dont even know where that worthless piece of human filth is. He contradicts everything I stand for, and I'm going to kill him the next time we meet."
He looked back to his companion, shaking his head.
The figure stepped forward, its smooth black armor-skin shining dimly in the low light. The only distinguishing features were a pair of large glowing blue goggles over the eyes and a strange head; the head was almost like one exasperated crest, the armor-plates extended from the face out and back, shielding the ears and sides of the head without actually touching them.
"I'm shocked you don't recognize your own blood." He smirked at this. Nobody saw, but those that knew him recognized the feeling that overwhelmed the room when he shot that eerie smile of his. "And I do mean your blood."

Kai raised an eyebrow seeing the dark figure in the background. "hold who's your friend there?" He asked stepping between Athena and the new party.
"Hey Athena you wanted exciting right?" He asked his voice echoing in her head. He looked over his shoulder to see the confused girl. "Your a student you wouldn't know what's happening ."
He grummbled looking at the new armored guy step forward. "Ok now I'm confused what the hell are you talking about riser?"

Athena just stared. She barely heard Kai's voice in her head, but she did manage a sort of acknowledging mental sound. She was too wrapped up in confusion about whatever--whoever--this new person was. It was... She didn't even know. Almost captivating, perhaps.

"Not if I get to him first," Ialo muttered darkly to himself.
He then looked up... and was floored. It was pure shock in his expression, and he seemed to almost choke on the very air he was breathing (much like how people seem to trip on flat surfaces).
"Z.Zephyr!! You... You.... are here...."
Well, if Riser thought he was stupid then...
