Tracking the movements of her opponent, the mage dropped into a stance. Remembering Diana's flexible nature, the idea of true close quarters combat would probably not be in her favor. Brandishing her staff once again she stroked it, at once an set of runes glowing about its length. At that moment the wooden rod seemed to be giving off a cloudy mist .

Twirling the weapon about in her hand the mage closed her eyes as if trying to block out the incoming threat. As the serpent women's attack closed in she had rapidly shifted her footing. Whipping her staff about her person in concentric circles, a trail of frost enveloped her form.

Whipping about the staff she crossed it over her back jarring the path of the attacking arm. Striking the end of her staff she snapped it about her forearm it arching towards to the back of Diana's head. Her palm already positioned to guide it once again.

Quote:
Were it not for the voices in her own head, except for Ravana who was prodding her to go berserk, she'd be particularly brutal at the moment. Mindless slaughter of this man satisfied her appetite a lot more than trying to simply keep him still. If he was dead he'd be still. Real still. Stiff too.

What he was doing now seemed to be another elemental command technique. First there had been the earth itself, followed immediately by ice of all things. Now he was using electricity. Did he s**t fire and vomit hurricanes too? At least electricity was a form of energy, excited ions and what not with a charge. She could neutralize if she tried, though it was hardly her expertise and there were probably more conventional methods for dealing with this problem.

Again he lunged for her as though she would not see it coming, and again she took a large enough step to her right to dodge it. This time however, she caught his wrist, while at the same time striking the inside of his elbow. Her golden aura flared, appearing like little more than steam, but very dangerous. What she did this time was turn his arm back. In a rapid motion she guided his wrist in her left hand to his abdomen, while her right hand guided the angle of his bicep. He'd hit himself with his own attack thanks to her.

::Unks cancled out the chidori just in time as his right hand moved across his bicep. As his left hand came closer to his abdomen he tighten his stomach so it didn't hurt him. He looked up at her and glared as he then smirked and freed his right hand from her grip with a hand forcefully yank.

As his hand was freed he shifted his body so one of his legs was behind her so if she moved back she would trip from his leg. He knew of course this wouldn't do much but it helped him gain his footing. He then brought his hand back with such force and then the chidori consumed his hand once more. He then used his left hand to grip her wrist and move it away from them.

Soon the crackling energy of the chidori was loud enough to fill the forest with it's noise. He then brought the chidori covered fist forward torwards her face with such speed that if she didn't catch him the attack would go right through her face taking it clean off her shoulders::

Kirra stood in silence a mere twenty yards from the two male Saiya-jin, watching them pound the living hell out of each other. It seemed that User didn't need her help, nor want it. Still, a courtesy response would have been nice.

The girl saw no room for her to get involved in the testosterone brawl, and decided to go and check on Keno, after much pleading from Jade. There were three powerful ki signatures over by the tiger, plus another energy signal neither could identify. They couldn't be sure if it was friend or foe.

She blasted off, a cloud of disturbed snow rising up about 30 feet with her before settling again as she flew towards where Keno and the others were. It didn't take her long to arrive, landing gracefully on a tree branch overlooking the scene. Kirra didn't bother hiding her approaching energy from the enemy, since she wanted to be noticed and have a fight.

Keno was facing off against the grim-looking one, seemingly the leader of the pack. And there was a stranger in a green one-piece fighting the kid and the pretty boy. Who was that guy, and what kind of messed up power was that he weilded?

Yenek continued to follow the battle between the bear of a man and the young man. They were both speed fighters, both faster then the Devil Lord but he knew if need be he could hold his own at least against the large man. They were fast but so long as Yenek could follow there movements with his eyes, and he could years of sparring matches with Sky had taught him what speed really was, he could defend himself. What surprised him was the fact that he had yet to himself be attacked. The giant had attacked hiom on sight last time. Yenek guessed he had yet to be noticed so he continued to watch from the sky.

::The tall Orinian winces slightly, bracing himself as the earth below trembles in the presence of Jagan's growing power. Physically, the force is hardly enough to even mildly compromise his balance; mentally, it hits him like a sledgehammer to the chest. This guy is ridiculously strong. A line of sweat is created as a drop falls from his forehead, Deity swallowing so heavily in his thoat that he might think he's just downed a brick. This really isn't good at all.

When compared to some, Deity looks far from intimidating. Even now, were it not for the flaring aura around him, he actually looks a bit pitiful. Not much muscle mass to take note of. He's very pale, too, not even having any tanlines on his upper body. Closer friends would know better than assume he's weak, but even taking into account the power of his Level Four - hidden and honed secretly over these past few years - compared to Jagan, he seems just as powerful as his physique would denote. The urge to simply turn and flee is a strong one. Almost too strong. Both fearing and embracing the concept of death over the span of some thirteen hundred years, the quiet boy can't tell which urge is more powerful - run away and live to run another day, or stay and just let massive bear of a man do away with him.

When his brief, thoughtful contemplation has come to an end, the Tonepian finds himself resting at a different option. If he flees, he leaves his friends in danger. If he lets Jagan win, he would thus be selfishly stolen from his beloved Jade. As the superhuman wall of muscle rushes in, the Orinian chooses the latter option. Guess it's better to face one's fear rather than cower from it, he concludes, red eyes narrowing as he again braces his stance for an impact.

Jagan's attack is straightforward, his heavy left arm swinging in with a hook. Deity offers an equally straightforward response by just ducking his head, spine bending forward as he knees bring him closer to the marred forest floor, feet roughly one meter apart. The hook tears by overhead, the tall boy wasting no time in returning with a counterattack. Rising only just barely from his dodge, Deity sends out his right fist in an underhanded punch to the left side of Jagan's abdomen, just above his pelvis. Due to his left-side-forward posture, the boy has to turn just slightly to release the heavy punch, but maintains the stance well enough to allow a speedy withdrawal as well as a potential follow-up strike with his left as he does.::

User felt his teeth rattle in his mouth from the blow. This little b*****d was tough. The Prince could taste the blood in his mouth. He spat it on the ground. He smiled happily, if Ravana even thought that meant User was about to fall - he would be sorely mistaken.

User swung his left fist now, batting for the other side of Ravana's face. The Saiya-jin Prince knew that Ravana was looking to soften up one point in User, to weaken a crack in his defensive walls. There only problem with that was User wasn't going to topple from one point's weakness. Ravana could hammer away all he wanted at one spot - User was going to weaken the whole structure.

In his life, Calvin Nicolas had been presented with challenge after challenge. At some, he won. At others, he lost. What he learned from many life experiences was that determination and willpower could make all the difference when one rode the line of win-and-loss.

He had no time to appreciate the new costume, something created out of pure energy from his ring. Speeding towards him was a ki blast - a powerful one it seemed. His ring seemed to rely a certain measurement of this. However, as before, he felt that this power ring should be able to tell him more. Perhaps the thing was damaged? No matter. It servered its purpose well enough.

Green Lantern thought up a hand. A big hand. A massive hand. It flung out from the ring as Calvin planted his feet very firmly on the ground to provide support for himself. This green hand construct made of light met the ki beam head on and it grabbed onto it. It continued to speed on towards him but he pushed back with his will. It slowed down some but it kept pushing on. Earth cracked under him and he felt his knees screaming at him as they struggled.

"Can't... you... do... better?!" Calvin shouted as he focused more, cleared his head of everything unrelated to moving that beam out towards space. The ring shone brighter, blindingly so, and the hand tighten its grip and threw the damn energy skyward like it was throwing a baseball.

Cal smiled at the success but he toppled over as his knees gave away. He was bent over, supported by his arms and panting, slightly exhausted at the effort it had taken. Was this what it was like? To focus your will so intensely like that? He knew that he was an easy target at the moment and tried to quickly right himself before his enemies took advantage of this.

She couldn't come to a dead stop. Not at that speed anyway. Unlike Jagan, who actually would fare little better, she did not have such precise control of her momentum to just dart around back and forth at a moment's notice and come to a halt just as rapidly. So she had to make use of her better talents in order not to injure herself.

It was a very quick flash of a maneuver. She rotated her body so that it looked for a moment as though she were going to start running backwards. With her left leg behind her for support her and stop her very suddenly at the same time as to make a jerking motion, both hand took hold of the staff now aiming at the front of her head hear her right temple. The right hand was for leverage and the left for guidance.

The jerk coincided with a twisting of her waist. If she managed to actually lift Epithany off of her feet, and despite herself she actually made to do so, she would toss the mage staff and all in the direction her left foot was now facing.

Jerk free? Yeah if she was five maybe that trick would work, but she had a firm grip on both his wrist and his under arm, she pretty much had authority on the momentum he was allowed to build up and she wasn't giving in any at all this time. So what if he canceled out his attack? That wasn't going to stop her form yanking him forward roughly, her right leg between both of his, and deliver a skull splitting head butt. Not too flashy, but it would get the job done.

Damn! This kid really was fast. Apparently cutting corners wasn't gonna do it at all. For a minute there, the behemoth could have sworn he had felt cowardice, or at the very least, the most powerful natural desire to survive he had ever felt from a being before. Perhaps it was because he was now actually matched up with a man of actual substance and not some deathrow inmate no one would miss in the near future. This was a person of pretty good standing and although one might think that would mean something, it didn't. So strong has Jagan's desire been to find a running mate that all else mattered very little. In fact, the urge to this day has become so powerful that at this very moment the only way anyone he considers worthy of being his equal will survive is by killing him because if they're too slow, they will die.

His body is actually lifted off of the ground, threatening to roll off to the right while his left side takes a well thought out punch to the abs. He isn't winded, but for a moment stunned from blindness as his prey had eluded him by simply crouching. Realizing the new circumstances, he withdraws his left hand and deposits his right to a spot he thinks lies between the base of the neck and the back left shoulder blade.

Ravana got the feeling that User might not fully understand his current situation. With what felt like a boxing glove to the right side of his face - a numbing sort of strike, but strong nonetheless - he answered by lifting that same right fist again and impacting the left side of his rival Saiya-jin's face. This time though the threat was that User might actually go sprawling to the right. He wouldn't if his wits were about him, but he could if he didn't prepare for the full force of the attack

The message was hopefully clear enough. Weakening an entire body took much longer than impairing one spot. Further more, after a while, that jaw was gonna prove insufficient protection from his fist. When that happened something was likely gonna break. Not just fracture, but actually break. Even before that though, once his face was soft enough, if Ravana could issue another strike like that, and he was sure he could by the look on his face, then someone was likely to be in a lot of trouble.

Luke was in a minor shock. He had put quite a bit of power behind that blast and in the end it was repelled. Not easily, but repelled nonetheless. This was insane. How could someone with a relatively weak energy signal be capable of such feats without destroying their fragile body? It just didn't make any sense.

Marveling this phenomenon of a man before him, he seemed to lose his will to fight, as though he already knew it wasn't worth the extra effort. He could just as easily go over there and give Vali a hand and have this entire matter dealt with, but he had been ordered to deal with this ring wearing freak along with Mani and he did not dare break rank.

Looking rather indifferent all over again, he was pretty much content with not doing another damn thing for the rest of the fight, but then Mani backhanded him before rushing in yet again.

This guy had some sort of crazy power, but Mani knew that when it came to speed, this man was no match. Besides, Luke usually wasn't the best at hurling blasts of ki at anyone, even when he was trying. The young boy fired volley after volley of ki bombs at the guy with the lantern, each one effectively about 1/5 of what Luke had just fired, but in such rapid succession that maybe the quantity of the assault would make up for the quality. Zeroing in, the young boy decided to just kick up his speed, his aura flaring wildly and destroying the smaller particles of dust in a highly corrosive manner. One might not even have realized there was any dust actually. His feet locked together, he converted from a dash to double heeled kick, arms glowing fiercely as though daring the man to try and stop him.

User went no where. Was Ravana even fighting? He continued to batter away at the left side of User's jaw. He was ignoring the pain, trained from birth to know that pain was irrelevant. It was a warning system and he would only pay it any mind when something broke, for example. Still, Ravana had put a good deal of force into that attack. His enemy was still focusing on one point and it was a relatively good tactic that User was about to go back to but he had one other thing he wanted to do first.

Reeling back his right fist, he swung it up at Ravana's nose. The target was an easy one and the nose was generally quite easy to break. If the Saiya-jin had his defenses up, he might get away with it just being a damn good bloody nose. If he wasn't prepared for it, User was positive that it was going to snap like a twig.

Explosions began all around him. Mani, the kid, was throwing balls of ki all around him. Some were way off and exploded no where near him but kicked up dirt and rocks. Most were dead on, hitting him like grenades going off right on him. A dozen hit him before he produced a green bubble over him that took the brunt of the beating. That battered away at his will, slowly but surely overpowering him.

God, he hated this kid. Those creepy eyes and now this? Cal was down to one knee now, using all his strength to keep up the shield that seemed to begin to shatter and fall apart. He reformed it, fixing the broken parts. This wasn't going to get him. No kid was going to beat him.

He felt the attack let up a moment before he felt the kick to his chest. The little runt had hit him hard. Cal felt the air leave his lung with the hit. He thought quickly, bringing his right hand around to in front of him despite the fire in his chest that screamed for air and the intense pain that came from the attack. He thought of something simple - arrows. Four of them. These arrows, made of light but still completely solid, were fired in rapid succession at Mani's chest but away from his heart. He wanted to hurt him, not kill him.

Observing Diana's superior strength from the many blows she had managed to avoid, she had prepared a frost aura about her staff for just such an instance as this. Attempting to grasp the weapon as it was, was likened to trying to grip slick ice. So potent was the aura it exuded, it threatened to numb and freeze tissue at the very touch.

Wrenching free her staff as the serpeant woman attempted to pull away, the friction produced a chain reaction. Air itself hissed and crackled with the resulting explosion of ice debris and shards, a shockwave erupting with enough force to blow them both back several feet.

Okay here it comes. Another shot, but where to this time? It seemed that the younger boy was determined that his tactic would work. Fine let him go on then, he can hit Ravana wherever he wanted, but it would make no difference.

Unless he tried the nose.

Knowing that there were too many consequences for taking a square shot to the nose, such as having it break, or having both eyes swell to the point of blindness, he had to do something fast, but there weren't a lot of options available unless he was going to move, and although there was no understanding that they couldn't evade attacks, they had been firmly planted the entire time. Moving would sully his victory at this point.

He did tilt his head though. Leaning forward, his forehead lowered and took the brunt of the bunch and softened the rest of the blow before it got in between his eyes. It was still plenty strong, but he felt the sharp pain above his brow most.

His retaliation would prove to be no worse for wear and no different in style. If nothing else, at this rate the boy would end up pissing him off some, but he was still far too sure of himself.

The boy was actually surprised the kick got in, but didn't exactly celebrate. Besides, the green guy wasn't down yet. He was plenty tough it seemed. It made no sense that someone who seemed human in every sense could prove so durable. It was amazing.

His arms still charged with ki, he fired at the arrows, his ki able to consume them considering the size. It would be more than able to actually hit the guy for that matter.

Luke wasn't so sure though. He had seen that the green thing was able to repel and redirect ki attacks. Worse still, he hadn't exactly seen a green beam face off against one of their own. For all he knew these damn arrows would phase right through and hit the kid anyway. That wouldn't be good for anyway.

Rushing in, he scooped up the kid up by pulling at his left arm. It pretty much attenuated the ki blast, though if it actually could do anything, it would anyway. He wasn't so concerned about that. Not being one to act overly nurturing though, he spun about counterclockwise throwing the kid at arm back toward Mr. Superhero. It seemed like such a tactic was already planned as Mani seemed to erect himself like a board, his mad, hungry eyes glaring ravenously before he aimed his crown in another headbutt.

"Oh mah," she said as she rose back to her feet. The blast had caught her rather unawares, but it didn't exactly hurt. It was enough to send her on her a** however, though it wasn't long before she corrected herself. "You are dif'rent indeed. Ah see mah traditional tactics will need some sort of...revision...Ah hadn't planned fo' this."

She was glad she hadn't, but this could in turn prove very dangerous indeed. The two women were now so much more different that the battle might not exactly go to the mightiest. Yes she could submit and let the dear go off to her husband, but if he couldn't survive Raion's wrath, he wasn't worth her at all. She'd not admit defeat to a lesser being.

In a striking display of force, she channeled a phenomenal amount of energy into her foot and slammed it into the ground, causing instantly violent tremors from the impact. The earth beneath them rumbled and loosened, parts of it converging while others diverged respectively. Pillars and potholes developed all about, the terrain growing steadily more uneven. As the ground and trees around them rattled violently, Diana somehow seemed to be maintaining her balance rather well, her body actually swaying in such a manner that the violent jolts kept her body appearing still.

Then a second kick, though not as powerful, and a giant meter long clump of earth rock rose up before her. She struck it with her left fist in Epithany's direction, and at the next moment dove away to find cover behind a pile of dirt somewhere and re think her tactic.

::The impact of the landed punch seems to reverberate repeatedly through Deity's bones upon first contact - it's not too different than if a human were to punch a brick wall full force with only a thin layer of foam to cushion the impact. A little unpleasant. Nonetheless, bloody knuckles or broken knuckles, the boy won't let it bother him. Pulling his right fist deftly back, his upper body turns again, his opposite arm now aiming to snap a left out for Jagan's sternum; the same place that the two-layers punch landed.

However, almost completely in his blind spot swerves in a somewhat wild looking punch. Blind though it may be, with the Orinian low and close as he is, it may as well be behind him. He sees it at the last moment, just barely in time to do nothing at all. The punch slams home, feeling as though it's smashing through the trapezius muscle at the nape of the boy's neck. Nothing is broken or torn, but it'll no doubt leave a fistful of bruise in moments to come. The force buckles Deity's balance, his knees feeling a bit like cooked noodles for just a moment. Said moment is long enough for him to fall, but brief enough for him to catch himself with his right knee still up, head down as he hisses painfully in reaction to the blow. Strength is strength, whether the hit is a lucky one or not.

The tall boy stays on the marred ground for a moment longer than he knows best to, the ache of his neck rippling out uncomfortably. Should he have the time to recover - which, despite being only two seconds or so, seems to last an age and a half considering how fast the action has been thus far - he plants his left palm to the ground, using the returned power in his legs to push himself into a handstand. Despite being upside-down and facing away from the human bear, the attack comes swiftly, flowing with the movement of taking this stance to send the boy's right heel into Jagan's forehead.

If the blow lands and is uninterrupted, the power should be enough to flip Deity back upright and to the floor on his feet - from here, he can resume his stance and this battle at eye level with his opponent.

Then again, if his superhuman adversary recovers before Deity does, his attempts may be for nought. Sucks to be him.::

He could feel it. The force of his punch nearly leveled the lad, but hadn't severely injured him. Damn! Just a bit more and he was sure he'd be standing before a broken man. Unfortunately he had not done that and so instead there was just a bruised fellow beneath his fist, which had to serve still as a foundation for his weight as the balls of his feet weren't all that well adjusted on the ground.

He had to admit though that he wasn't facing off against a lightweight. As scrawny as this boy was, he knew how to hit hard. Apparently his abdomen now felt a bit sore. Nothing he couldn't get over, but there was no denying that feeling. No matter. His feet were back on the ground now so he could plant himself before taking on the offensive again.

That was the plan anyway, but he hadn't taken into account that there would be a foot trying to dig itself into his forehead. His head reeled back, and his feet quickly acted beneath him to maintain his balance, stumbling back a step, or two, or three. Regardless of the number, by the third stagger, his limp left arm swung up from waist level to toss a quickly assembled ball of energy at the large humanoid. It's force was phenomenal considering how quickly he had thrown it together, but hardly anything impressive. Likely strong enough to knock the wind out of him if he didn't see it coming - which may or may not be the case as he was airborne at the moment though not flipping- and it would probably explode on impact as it wasn't the most stable.

There was the problem of his aim though. As Jagan himself wasn't the most stable when he attacked in such a manner. His aim was a bit off and he ended up firing nearer the head than the chest. Hell he might even miss, but either way, he was back on his feet and back in boxing form, left side forward this time.

This was exactly what he needed. Not only was he failing to get anywhere edgewise again Vali, who had up till now fought if off with surprising grace, but now his sister was about to get herself involved. Glad to actually see her in one piece, he was suddenly filled with concern as to what might happen to her. If he was doing so poorly against one, he'd be of no real use against two or maybe three trying to save her. Of course he would willingly choose to die to keep her alive, but he'd rather they both went on living.

Still though, he couldn't tell whether this was Jade or Kirra he was looking at. There wasn't that familiar sisterly concern in her eyes from seeing him get his a** kicked, so he guess it was her alter ego, but Kirra was just as much Jade as...Jade. The fact that she had a different identity and attitude meant nothing to him. It was Jade.

Vali had taken the moment to strike unfortunately, and Keno found himself just barely avoiding a swift punch right over the heart, his body swaying to the left and taking the force from the center of his chest. His body went sailing in the air, but thankfully...or regretfully, a tree got in the way. He couldn't stand this guy. Had he never attacked, he might be in Vali's shoes, but instead he had taken the offensive and this guy fought much like he would like to; redirecting attacks with little effort and waiting for only the opportune moments to actually strike. The difference was that Keno couldn't afford to let even one of Vali's attacks find their mark. If he did, he'd be dead.

Those were the stakes, and that was why he was struggling so much. He couldn't regenerated anything that was lost, and if he lost something vital, that was it. Even a strike to the head could render him an overpowered vegetable and he'd not be able to heal from it. Okay that was a lie. He could heal pretty well, but not near rapidly enough to escape death when he lost a lung or a heart or his throat. A week just didn't cut it in those instances.

Part of him wanted to ask for help, but he felt that Kirra wouldn't get near enough of a morale boost to hold off against Vali because she didn't regard Keno the way Jade did. Even if Jade were in control, he wasn't so sure he'd want her involved. Still though, he couldn't deny that help would be appreciated.
