"I don't know about you Kyo, but from how Artemis is acting," in which she was desperatly trying to pull herself deeper into Ari's chest in order to flee the darkness, "I would prefer not going into whatever that is that gives me the creeps and is scaring Art." Ari grabed the door handle behind her as she scanned the room for another door that still had color that they could get to via color.
No matter what she was not going into the dark.

Rouge took what Zah had said and what Nicolai had said to mean one thing. "Well there's a shadow that's not cast by anything and a sound that comes from no where. I'd say its time to do something that isn't logical."
Rouge strode back to her previous position-beneath the largest shadow. Looking up at it she spoke in a tone that was neither hostile nor afraid. Just calm and in control of her mood. "What are you?" she asked it, looking up at the shadow. "And what do you want? I know you understand me. If you didn't you wouldn't move when we try to find where you're coming from." most would consider her crazy-adressing a shadow on the ceiling. But Rouge had done much crazier and this was again, normal for her.

"What the ********, yashi, where the hell are we going?" Iamels voice was ringing through as a yelp as his smaller brother dragged him along the HQ. The yukata wrapped kitsune had his hand wrapped around Iamels four fingers while his thumbs wriggled free.
"Shut up and walk." Small socked slippers pattered down the area as they came into with.... people?
Lots of people.
The fox faltered, ignoring his brothers demanding voice as the group of people came into view. There were people and a giant wall of shadows, shrinking back slightly.
Iamel, however, was transfixed. He grinned, widely. Watched or not, this was creepy s**t. "Well, holy crap, kid. What an interesting group of friends you have."

Shellshocked as she tried to come to a conclusion about what next course of action would be best, Danny became vaguely aware of the other people that were not yet caught up in the grey talking. For a moment, she'd worried that she was the only one still in the colored world; knowing that she and Vana were not alone gave her the strength of sanity to move.
"W-wait, let us come, too!" This Ari lady seemed to have it together, or at least more so than Danny herself did; that in itself was enough to propel the young woman after her, working off the desperate hope that the stranger might have a better handle on the situation than Danny herself could find.

Kyo issued a throaty, sort of hesitant groan at the reply, and yet she knew it to be somewhat true. If she got nearer to that force, Xerksis was likely to bite a chunk out of her shoulder before she could try and offer him a coaxing explanation. But he wouldn't mind the dark, that seemed pretty certain. Neither of them did, though Kyo couldn't really see.
"They're talking to that... thing." She murmured, watching as Rouge moved after the shadow and Nicolai inspected. "We're not the only ones... still hiding in the darkness." She offered. "But we are the only ones out of the room. The children... their forces are being pulled at by whatever it is." She finally would admit it- she was concerned. "That is why they are this way... or partly." She turned her head towards Vanaja and Danny, accepting the company but having nothing more to say.
((OOC note: GM, Kyo and Ari have fled to another room in the HQ, for clarification. ))

Ari gulped. Golly that sounded scary... Leave it up to the keeper of the mind invader to put things so bluntly. She looked at the frightened lady. "Hurry!" She shouted, not quite sure how much longer she could keep the door open in color.
Art had stopped shaking and had gone quiet, her eyes glazed as if in deep thought, as if she were a differant child.

((I'm going to assume that they're all going into the Gardens, since there's not much else open unless they want to run back to the wand shoppe (and leave the RP). 3nodding ))
The largest of the three moving shadows regarded Rouge as she stepped forward to try and make contact. It seemed to still be stand-offish, though; no doubt, the fact that it was confined to the wall was limiting its desire to actually return the communication.
With a start, one of the small shadows reached up to tug at the largest. They seemed to confer a moment, discussing no doubt some matter of grave importance. Whever it was that they spoke of, a visible shudder passed over all three; like a drop of water drying on the sidewalk, the shadows began to shrink and fade, leaving the wall with nothing more than the darkness cast by those visible people in the room.
That lasted for all of two seconds, anyway, until a whole barrage of tiny dots began through the wall; and these didn't stop at shadows. Small, lightish specks began to filter in through the air of the grey, drifting around those living people in the room. They seemed intangible, unable to affect those standing there; still, their fixation was somewhat unnerving, especially as the grey seemed to take a stronger hold, and the sense of draining grew harder and harder to ignore.
Entering the garden area, Ari was greeted with a bit of blessed light; for whatever reason, it seemed like the power was still perfectly operational in this room. It was not, however, safe. Fully half the plants here were black and dead, as spots of grey filled up the center of the room and spread outwards.

Nicolai watched intently, memorizing the actions the shadows took before their inevitable retreat. As the lights began to sift through the air he took a defensive stance, bringing Wiko's tiny body closer and more inward for protection.
"That's a somebody," Nicolai stated plainly to Rouge. "We're being invaded, I think."
Duh, he thought, turning to inspect the area. Gnnnk became fvrrrngk in his mind, almost painfully intense now. If he thought it would have been productive for a Phoenix of six thousand to flee from this situation, he would have. Sadly, he did not.

Rouge stood calmly, and then held out a hand before her. The palm was upturned as if she were holding out her hand for someone to take it. "What do you want?" she repeated. "If you cannot tell me then show me in some other way."
There was no fear in her eyes nor her heart. She wasn't scared of loss of color or flying dots. What she wanted to knowledge. She held her hand out steadily not moving it an inch. Whether it be a gesture of peace, friendship or something else no one was certain-not even she- but it was what she chose to do right then.

Yashis eyes widened by the small dots on the sky. He hopped a little closer, fingers moving as if trying to touch one of them. Iamel grabbed at his brothers hand and yanked the fox-kit back, hissing at him through clenched teeth.
"What the hell?" The Gaurdians voice was a soft whisper, other hand going down to grab Yashi around hte waist to keep him slow. Closer they moved to the stuff, the b lack and white wings on Yashis back flexing slowly.

Lilianna stood perfectly still as the three shadows began to converse with each other. The falconer didn't know what to make of anything until the shadows shrank and faded. She glanced around nervously for a few tense moments until the dots filled the room. Holding back a yelp, she reached a hand out towards a few of the nearest dots and attempted to catch them, but found that they weren't real at all. Shaking her head, she relaxed her tense body and glanced at Rogue to see what she was going to do next.
Lily observed Rogue as the woman tried to speak to the dots. Shrugging slightly, she opened her closed fist and cupped her hand underneath a few dozen dots. "Do you think..." she started to ask outloud, but her sentence was cut short by something. Shaking her head, she gazed down at her hawk. "You don't think it is caused by him?" The hawk gazed up at her master and shook her head. "I should have known," muttered the falconer under her breath.

Ah, the light. Both Kyo and her Underdarkling blinked at the rush of it, mostly the woman seeing as the child had began to try and burrow into her shirt. The energy was still being drawn from them, of course. There was no flowery way to put it for Ari, and Kyo hardly bothered with frivolous, long-winded explanations considering the situation. The child, once only a mere whisp in Ari's presence, was now flesh, blood, and very much humanoid. In fact, he seemed just as old as Artemis now.. but was taking the draining a little less harshly than she for some reason.
"Wonderful." Came the soft, sardonic statement as she took in the dying plants. With a step, she seemed to sink a little bit, cutting off the force behind her levitation as she picked her way carefully along the gray, avoiding it. She didn't know where she was going, but...
EDIT: There was a bench near the water that seemed so far relatively untouched. Kyo would go there, shifting her boy so she could sit properly. Xerksis responded reluctantly, uncurling from his ball to wrap his arms around he neck and bury his face into the side of the pale column. She could feel the tremors in him beneath her skin- he didn't like this, and yet wasn't in quite enough discomfort to wail yet. Still in shock, maybe. She needed to think. For the moment, she would channel her energy towards him, trying to soothe him, but even she wasn't going to be able to last forever. Longer than most, but not forever.

Shira stared at Rouge with disbelief at her actions. They seemed impractical, irrational even. But apparently irrational got results. Whether good or bad...Shira wasn't sure. She strided closer to where Rouge was, but still keeping a slight distance as well as being wary of the speckles of light and dark everywhere. It was almost impossible to determine their next move.
The slight tugging at her being that she felt in the beginning was stronger was stronger now that the strange forms had appeared. The pull now at her heart was demanding her attention. And although Shira didn't want to get too worried or wrapped up in just this sensation, it might've been just here with this feeling, she thought she might voice her opinions just in case.
"Um....Rouge was it? I don't mean to interrupt you or anything but..." Shira looked at Rouge, whom seemed to still be speaking with the strange forms in the room. Shira clenched the fabric of her shirt around her chest tense with the particularly strong tug that just took over. No pain, but the discomfort was there.

"I'm listening." she said though whether it was to Shira or the shadows was unknown. Her not looking away from where the shadows had been could lead some to believe that it was to the shadows but it might just be her concentrating. "And calm down."
Had Rouge still been a child she'd have been wondering why everyone else seemed uneasy when she couldn't feel a thing. But as it was she'd been through plenty enough not to ask something like that. It didn't matter if she wasn't uneasy. Right now it mattered if she could keep her cool and see where it got them.

Following after the others into the garden, Danny's face fell as she saw the plants fallen dead. Oh, God-- she knew what was coming next, and she didn't LIKE what was coming next, but there was probably no way to stop it. Futilely, she raised a hand to try and cover the fern-girl's eyes, hoping to somehow shield her from the sight of the blackened foliage. But, of course, it was of no use.
Vana wasn't the sort to wail when something upset her. That would imply that she thought like a human baby- and, of course, little else could be further from the truth. But that didn't mean she couldn't make an equally ear-rending sound nonetheless. Hers just happened to be a... little more irritating.
"CHIRPCHIRPCHIRPCHIRPCHIRP!" Brokenly, like a bird fallen from the nest, Vana began to make noise in the only way she knew. Water filled up in those so-gentle eyes of hers, and while Danny gritted her teeth at the grating sound and tried shushing the poor girl, the babe wormed around frantically. Some plants were still living, after all- maybe she could save them! If only she wasn't in this stupid, useless form....
