Brayden couldn't help a smile at Kaya's dream, "It sounds lovely," he admitted with a nod, "My parents back in Fucshia dealt a bit with making natural medicines at their shop, but I couldn't really understand much of it myself," he admitted with a sheepish smile, "I learned a little, enough to get me by when they were out for a while, but I never became to well-versed in it."
Brayden noticed Kaya's downcast tone, casting a worried glance to his partner, "What's wrong?" he inquired, brushing his hand gently from where he had been holding it.
"Is it because you're an heir?" he asked, taking a guess.

"Well I ow my current success to Kaya." the youngster admitted a bit sheepishly. "If he weren't so willing to let me have his Pokemon, I'd never be where I am. And to be honest, I'm only missing Sableye to complete my collection of Ghosts, I think." he said as he tried to remember which ones he had a didn't have yet.
"You'd be willing to part with both of them?" he asked, incredulous. "Oh, that would be amazing. I already have a Misdreavus but, I'd really like a Mismagius as well. They're so...so...mysterious..." he said with a grin, though it came out more sounding like a question as to whether or not that word would work to describe them well enough.
Noticing the change in Kaya's tone, he became a bit worried. "Is something wrong? That's an amazing dream, Kaya. Why so downtrodden?" he asked, truly worried for the older man.

Kaya walked as quickly as possible. "I know I saw a jewelry store around here last night..." he mumbled to himself as he looked around. After a few minutes of looking, he found the place again. ~Perls~ was the only thing written on the sign.
Walking in, he was confronted by a lovely young woman with golden curls. "Hello! Can I help you, sir?" she asked brightly.
"Yes, ma'am, you can." Kaya replied as he glanced around. "I'm looking for a ring, a men's ring to be precise. One that can be used for an engagement ring, but isn't as fancy as a wedding band." he explained.
The young woman looked at him curiously for a moment, before she nodded in understanding. "Let me show you our selection." she said as she led him to a counter off to one side and let him look through the rings. "If I may be so bold, who might you be buying this for? What type of person is he?" she asked. "Perhaps that would help me to help you find the right ring for him." she added after a moment.
Kaya smiled inwardly as he thought of Brayden. "He's an amazing guy, not to masculine, but definitely not feminine in any way. He's caring, loving, fun, protective, a lover of the sea and a trainer of Water types." he told the woman as he looked through the rings on display.
"Oh...that type." the saleswoman said as she smiled knowingly. "I think I have just the ring." she said before walking to a back room and emerging a few minutes later with a small, deep blue velvet box in her hands. Opening it for Kaya to see, she noticed the sparkle in the man's eyes as he looked at it. "I guess you like this one?" she asked curiously, almost certain she knew what his answer would be.
"Oh, it's perfect!" Kaya declared as he pulled a small wad of money from his messenger bag. "How much is it?" he asked. The woman told him the ring's price and he paid without hesitation. He pocketed the box and quickly looked over the necklaces, finding one that would match the ring and bought it as well. He pocketed the boxed necklace and returned to the Cafe, choosing to wait until after the group had eaten before he did anything with it.

Brayden watched Kaya go, feeling a bit down. He could only guess what tough times Kaya had to go through. Being the heir had to be pretty big shoes to fill. He was more than a bit worried about the tears he had thought he saw in Kaya's eyes as the prince left, but he did as asked, remaining at the table and ordering the salad for Kaya when the waiter came around again. He ordered a small plate of Mago berry pancakes for himself, along with a cup of coffee, to warm himself up a bit. He did enjoy the brisk weather they had been having, though.
He waited for the others to order as he fiddled absently with his napkin, trying his hardest not to watch the door as he waited for Kaya to return.

Brayden smiled, shaking his head, "No problem ordering for you, it was easy enough to remember," he grinned, before casting a worried glance to the prince.
"You're sure your alright, though? You're not coming down with something, are you?" he asked, concerned for Kaya's health. He wasn't sure why the prince was acting strangely. He knew Kaya had gone through a lot recently, with Scarlet and Danny, along with the trouble in his home. He knew it was very possible to literally worry yourself sick.
"I know when I get worried, I get a cold," he commented with a shrug, "You've gotta take care of yourself," he smiled.
As the waiter walked off with their menus and orders, Brayden watched him go, considering stopping him to order Kaya a cup of hot tea or something. He restrained from doing so, although he cast another glance to the prince, to make sure everything was alright.
"I know it must be tough," he murmured, as the group waited for their server to return with their food.
"But we're still with you," Bray smiled faintly with a reassuring nod.

Chloe nodded, "Yeah, you sure you're okay?" she asked, a bit worried. She knew Kaya must have a lot of weight on his shoulders. She was starting to piece together his dilemma, seeing that he really didn't want to be the king. He had his own dreams to live, and Chloe was sad that it seemed that he would never get the chance to live them out.
"So you're the only one left in line for the heir?" she inquired, "There's no chance that you can convince your father to allow you to follow your own heart? Adamant became a Ranger, right?" she asked the prince.
At the mention of Kaya getting sick, Chloe gasped, "I hope that's not true, you're feeling okay, right?" she asked, worried, "I ordered some Pecha tea, I can share some if you'd like?" she offered with a smile, "That always seems to make me feel better when I have a cold."

Vhan watched Kaya worriedly, seeing a small bead of sweat trickle down the other male's forehead as his nerves became unsteadied. "I'm not sure what happened before I met you guys, but please don't worry yourself too much, sir. You'll make yourself sick if you worry too much." he said with a worried voice.
"Besides, you wouldn't want that pretty blonde hair to turn gray would you?" he asked playfully.

"In all honesty, I wish it would turn silver again...I miss my old hair color..." Kaya sighed at Vhan's comment, though it came not as a sad comment, but more of a lighthearted attempt to cheer himself up, as well as keep the others from worrying about him.
"I'll be alright Bray. I'm not sick, just a bit worried about how things are going with my family. I know my sisters are both at home, and Krystofer and Kiel are there to help mom and dad, but without me and Adam there, I really don't know how long they can hold out. Adam and I practically trained the royal guard to use the terrain to their advantage." he told his friends with a lighthearted laugh. "That lot would have been hopeless if Adamant, Valahn and I hadn't run off all the time when we were kids..." he said softly, remembering one such time.
"It is a bit rough to adjust having a new kid to worry about, but I know that Scarlet will take care of Danny and she's quite capable of taking care of herself. She's got MeMe's codes..." he said softly as he remembered teaching them to the young girl before he'd left to go on his long journey.
Hearing Chloe, he sighed and explained. "No, it's not that I'm the last in line, but rather, the only one father feels confident enough in to let me take his place. He just doesn't see that I'm not cut out to be king. Krystofer, or Kiel would make a better King than I would. Even Kaylee would make a better queen." he told her. "But a long time ago, my ancient ancestors lived in what is now known as Lilycove City, and they made a prophecy back then that a child of the earth would be born and lead the children of the All Mother to a new era." he told her, knowing that Brayden and Vhan were listening intently as well. "That child was me, apparently." he said finally, though it came with a heavy sigh.
"My original name wasn't actually Kaya. When I was born, my parents named me Verdant Devaint*De Vahnt*. Valahn was Valiant. They changed our names after the incident with Notaro. They thought it would be best for my safety if my name was changed. And they wanted Valahn's name to be safe from desecration so they changed his name as well, thinking that he was dead." he admitted.
"Yes, Adamant became a Ranger because our other sibling were maintaining the kingdom in our absence. And I was destined to bring the presence of our island to the knowledge of the mainland. There was no reason for him to stay, so he joined the Union." he told the others.
About that time, the food arrived. It had been prepared rather quickly. "I think I found a loophole to get out of it though...I'll tell you after we eat..." he said, glancing to the mostly hidden jewelry boxes.
((I spent the last 24 hours in jail as a victim of bad timing so please forgive me if this post makes zero sense. I'm a bit frazzled and my nerves are still shot.))

Chloe nodded, letting it all sink in, "Man, that's understandable, but a bit burden on you," she murmured, taking a bite of her bagel as she listened to Kaya's story. She knew being a royal had its perks, but now understood all too well that it came with its fair share of troubles as well.
She'd take her dysfunctional family in Blackthorn anyday.
"But rest assured, when we get there, we'll kick some butt!" she laughed, which probably would be more impressive if she wasn't laughing when she said it.
Or saying her declaration around a mouthful of bagel...
She was curious about Kaya's "loophole" though. She caught his glance to the table, leaning over to peer at where he was looking. She thought she saw something partially concealed, but wasn't entirely sure what it was.

Kaya smiled as Chloe offered her understanding. "Yeah, a really big burden. And Krystofer and Kiel are always competing to prove they're better candidates for the crown than I am, but Father doesn't pay them any mind." he added with a soft chuckle. "It's almost funny to see them trying to prove they'd make good kings."
At her declaration of ensuing victory, he couldn't help but laugh, covering his mouth since he had just taken a bite of his salad. After he'd swallowed, he finally allowed himself to reply. "I'm sure we will. You guys are the two people I trust most to help me fight whatever, or whoever, is attacking." he told her, hoping she understood who that "Whoever" was. Vhan didn't know about Lance or Notaro so he was trying to keep the boy innocent in this.
((A friend was trying to get Xani's under a false name and I didn't know, so I took him tot he pharmacy, thinking I was going to be paying for a refill on his Anxiety medication. He got busted a since he has a previous record, I was assumed to be guilty because I was with him. Charged with "Criminal Attempt to Possess Xanex". At least my family could make my 2.7k dollar bond and got me out. I just have to hope when I go to court, the judge believes me when I tell them I'm innocent and explain what happened.))

Kaya heard a soft pinging coming from his bag, and when he opened it, he found his portable Pokeball transfer system displaying a Message. ~ERROR! POKEBALL TRANSFERRED TO UNKNOWN RECIPIENT!~ came the vocal message, blaring out in a mechanical, male voice.
"Oh dear..." he muttered as he quickly removed the message before his friends heard it and started worrying. Checking his Pc Box's status, he found that his Shiny Meowth was missing. "Nani...I never liked that Meowth but I didn't want it to disappear..." he told himself quietly.
((I'm giving Catonia my Meowth since I don't like feline Pokemon. Also, disregard the previous posting of Angel Blessing's effect, I realized it was too strong and fixed it here. It's a mix of Barrier and Magic Coat.))
