The Force.
To Valin's preceptions, the Force was untainted, pure, clear. Not since his days in the Jedi Academy had he felt the Force so clean. The Dark Side didn't cloud anything here.
And there the Force back in his home galaxy. It felt... tired, weak.
365 trillion beings had died in the Yuuzhan Vong Invasion. 365 trillion. It was an unfathomable number - and many considered the number a low estimate of the true lost of life.
His first teachings of the Force had thought him that life was the Force and the Force was life. So the extreme loss of life made the Force feel... exhausted.
Equally, the pain, the suffering, the fear - it was no wonder many Jedi walked the path along the Dark Side: The war itself and what it did to people served the Dark Side, empowering it.
But no here.
This galaxy, this planet was free and clean.
Valin Lobel stood in his work clothing - old, greased stained, and worn black pants and a tan shirt, also equally torn, old, and dirt covered. His artifical limb had a black, leather protective covering up this his elbow, the point where the fake limb ended. Over both hands, however, where brown work gloves.
What Valin stood in was part of his YT-1760 Corellian Transport. While the YT-1300 was the most famous of series - thanks to a great, overall product and the exploits of the Millennium Falcon - the YT-1760 was a new model. Like the YT-1300 before it: the 1760 series had a saucer hull - but had three, large engines and a full-center cockpit (rather than the off-center of the 1300 series). 1760s were smaller than a 1300, carried less cargo, and came with no shields or weapons. Nevertheless, he upgraded the ship with military grade shields and weapons.
The part Valin stood in was what was left of his sublight engines - after removing the hull plating on the floor and jumping in to work on it. Wires, hoses, electronics, metal, pipes, and more.
At the moment, he was banging a tool on a value to get it to move.
"Piece of junk!" The Corellian Jedi hissed, until the thing finally moved. Steam hissed out violently out of the wrong end of the pipe the value was connected to. Warning klaxons flared.
"No no no!" He cursed again, turning the vavle and shunting the steam off.
Valin Lobel quickly went through a calming exercise and cleared his mind - while rubbing his temples, nonethless.
Despite the Force being as clear a diamond: it was probably enjoyed watching him get frustated this whole day on the damn ship.

Having sensed the man wandering through the treetops she blinked ackwardly as he dropped down from the tree tops over head
"Ah...nice to meet you Kuja...."
Wrinkling her brow she blinked offhandedly at the fellow trying to remember where she had seen him last. Sucking on her tongue for a moment she smiled.
"Oh yes...I remember you now. You are the fellow I remember with Unks sometime ago. You don't like Saiya-jins very much. You and many others..."
Thinking of her husband she sighed, wondering if he would still be mad at her. Disappearing for nearly a month probably wasn't the best of ideas, but it was something she needed. Returning to reality she blinked once more at the strange fellow in her presence. Summoning forth her staff, it appeared in a light rain of sparks. Leaning foward, she proceeded to eye him critically.
"So how can I help you? Or are you out here enjoying the landscape as well?"

"I came across this Island and somewhat joined Red's forces. . .I think anyway, she hasn't really spoken to me."
::He looked at her when she mentioned the name Unks. His mind brought him back to his first arrival on the planet Earth and meeting the purple haired Saiya-Jin boy. He was one of the first people he met, scoffing slightly he looked at his fellow mage::
"Yeah I remember that saiya-jin boy. . .He was fairly decent for a decendant of that race. What is he up to now, or do you not speak with him?"

Raising an eyebrow at his words she smiled.
"I can understand that about Red. I haven't seen much of her since I arrived, but I suppose the fact that I hid my presence did not help such things."
Relaxing her posture she frowned lightly when he asked about Unks.
"As far as I know he is fine...but then again I haven' t seen much of anyone for nearly a month now."
Sighing she straighted herself gazing toward the sky.
"I'm not sure if he's been worried with my absence or furious about the circumstance leading toward it. Such a pitiful state of events. I should scry his whereabouts...its been too long since I've seen him."

"I see, and why is it you haven't seen him? I can understand of course if you'd rather not say, but you seem very concerned for him. Why is that?"
::Looking at her he moved closer and leaned his back against one of the trees his tail hanging limply behind him moving backwards and forwards. A soft breeze running along his skin, and causing his hair to shift::

Draping her staff over her shoulder she smirked.
"Lets just say that I may have stepped on his pride a bit. I guess I kind of snapped. I suppose I don't like it when people threaten my husband. That and I suppose the fact, that he was wanting to take the brunt of all the trouble also kind of urked me as well. Things all got out of hand and I had to just get out of there. "
Sighing she smirked on again.
"With that...I guess the rest is history. In retrospect I really should have handled things much better. But I was feeling really stressed out. I suppose he was too..."
Running her hand through her hair she shrugged.

"I see, I did not know you two were married congrats on that."
::Listening to what else she said he nodded. He didn't quite understand, but it seemed serious and he wanted to know more about the subject. The stepping in the way of a Saiya-Jin's pride was a very big thing, but it also wasn't that hard to do::
"If you don't mind, can I ask what you were up against?"

Red had long since crept nearer her friend, who was talking with her most recent ally. She was still far out of sight, but thankfully, she didn't have to be too close to hear. She was maybe a hundred yards away, give or take. She knew Epithany was more than capable of singling her out from much further off, but what did this male mage bring with him to the table? She'd be lying to say her curiosity wasn't piqued.
The Jedi man wasn't too far off either. He was trying to repair or upgrade something or other while at the same time doing what she identified as relaxing through the subtlest of gestures made by a body in labor. She thought it best not to bother him after a rather sudden outburst of frustration.
She very well could join them. She had, after all, come up in the conversation as one who was hard to actually be found whether sought after or not. It would not do very well at all to assemble a group of people with many talents if she, the person they were to ally with, kept them all at bay so often. At the same time, she didn't enjoy small talk nearly at all. She'd rather listen from this distance until something gave her reason to join them.

Smiling she nodded.
"Thank you. We got married a few months ago and it has been and wonderful yet trying point in our lives. I never knew that things would be so different..."
Blinking at how foward with informations she was being she paused collecting her thoughts before speaking again.
Tilting her head at how inquisitive he was being she shrugged.
"I suppose theres no real reason to leave anyone in the dark. It was kind of hard to miss a month ago."
Placing her hand on her chin she looked at the man side long
"I don't suppose have dealt with Dark Unks before. Recently my husband figured a way to draw out his dark side. The result was that an entire city was obliterated. He held himself responsible."

She missed the warm waters. Not outwardly of course, but still. They were gentle and calming, the waves never were that strong unless she was up to something. Hearing them wash up along the shore was so soothing that even the voices had to take a break for a while. Her mind was in a state of half consciousness, being more alert than actually aware.
The pure sands of the beach offered a soft bed for her body to rest on, warm and welcoming, caressing her back as the water washed away beneath her until she was in a nice glove. Up in the sky the sun was shining brightly, unguarded by a single cloud, and baked her fair skin intensely. Even she had to protect herself from UV, and her glistening lotioned body sparkled as the water beaded up and rolled off.
She lifted her left leg at the knee, feeling the water rush under her, cooler than before now against her upper thigh. With a sigh she gazed at the endlessly blue sky, thinking about the events from the past couple of days. Her mentor and her senpai. Why she was thinking about either them made little sense. Especially when she realized how worried she was about Epithany. It had not even crossed her mind to pay a visit to the mage. As worried as she might be, she obviously wasn't worried enough.
Sighing again she switched legs slowly, her tail swaying slowly to her left, dipping into the water or lightly splashing. Today was a decent one in her book. Thus far anyway.

Musky scent of the forest pervaded her nose as she perched atop the branch of a tree surveying the scenery. It had been a considerable amount of time since she had last set foot on the island. He prior appearance had been after a fight she had with her husband and his darker counterpart. Her stay had been quiet but relaxing none the less.
The memories of those days still had a lasting effect on her memory. Digging her boots into the tree branch she pushed off leaping with great agility towards the next branch. Landing roughly she continued on her way. Since her ordeal in the other forest she had been working hard to rehabilitate her body from the extreme mental and physical strain it had undergone. Grasping a branch she used her forward momentum swing like gymnast and flip to a higher vantage point.
Peeking through a clearing in the forest canopy she gazed over the wide stretching landscape spying a familiar Red haired woman on the beach front.
Biting her lower lip she sighed.
"Should I or shouldn't I?"
Her shoulders slumping she frowned thinking of the beast she had become. Peeling back the leather vest she had been wearing for the past 2 days she checked her bandages. The flesh that had been so severely injured less than a week ago existed as only a bruise.
"Freakish..."

Off in the distance she was able to hear something, a voice which she identified as the very person she was thinking about. She didn't want to seem uninviting, but she was so relaxed that she didn't want to move. The warm sand and cool sea water was too satisfying and few things could actually please her like this.
Her eyes were out of focus at this point, but when the only thing you see is blue, it's relatively hard to tell. Epithany didn't seem to be advancing any further, at least Red wasn't able to hear anything. People got stealthier by the day. Eventually even her ears would fail to be of any real use. Because of that she had to become more keen to her surroundings, but she could take her time, seeing as stealth didn't improve over night.
Humming lightly she kept to herself for the time, pleased at the moment to know that Epithany was healthy.

Dropping from the tree top she landed roughly with a grunt. Despite having healed a great deal in short amount of time she was still far from 100%. Staggering from the sharp pain that spiked up her side she grimaced.
Running her hand through her hair she sighed peering down at Red once again making note a change in the other woman's posture. She had clearly been sighted.
"Well I suppose now is as good a time as any other..."
Summoning forth her staff with a phrase in the language of magic she began to make her way down to the beach. Navigating down to the beach front she dropped down onto the soft grainy sand, shedding her boots.
"Hello Red.."
Casting a glance to the rumbling body water she smiled.
"Your island is as breath-taking as usual. It serves as more agreeable scenery than say...The Orion."

"Why thank you," she responds, finally propping herself up on her arms so that she might be able to face her company. As the owner of the island, and therefore the hostess, it would be rude to ignore her guests. As she rose, she felt all the lethargy strain to keep hold over her body. Her blood chased it out through her toes, but it was a slow process.
"I prefer the warm water and the more natural environment here on the island. The forest around Orion is nice, but as of late has just become an extension of the interior, being exposed to all that the club members have to offer." The island wasn't nearly as damaged as Darkwood. Also it wasn't as cold, something she appreciated very much. Cold weather wasn't too her liking.
"I digress though. I noticed you were injured the other day, and I've been meaning to ask if it was because of me. Personally I would call it a coincidence if some other struggle gave you the wound that induced that transformation."

Laughing sheepishly she grinned dumbly.
"Well actually...I was impelled by one of the spikes you created. Truthfully I practically died. If it wasn't for that transformation I wouldn't be here now. "
Frowning her expression darkened.
"I'm sorry you had to see that none the less. I suppose its living memory of what I was. Supposedly the being I was centuries ago was far more frightening than even that. "
Unwrapping her bindings around her lower back the wraps still had traces of blood on them showing what she had gone through
"That beast whom I'm terming "Rage" is a defensive manifestation of frustration over whom I was. It is a coincidence that putting me near death resulted in awakening that anger. It was undoubtedly bizarre to even me."
