General Faustite: 7

Looked like the lack of strategy was carrying them with raw firepower. Between [b[Encke (disgusting), Ganymede (more disgusting), people he didn't recognize, and Jet, their uncoordinated assault added up. Tactically inelegant, but he had to take it.

Jet seemed tied up, and Albite probably pulled a brain muscle, which left Faustite the opening to try to damage the thing, His fire long wore off, and he wasn't feeling hale enough to release another yet. "Walkie me," he issued as he stalked toward the creature.

The thing cracked, broke in places, pools of wisps leaked out. It retaliated with a tail swipe, slow enough that Faustite could vault over it, then he ran toward their aggressor. Tracked through some of the pools of liquid light, some of the splashes coming off the wakes of others reached his hands and hissed with a familiar burn. One got him across the cheek. The worst ones got inside the grate, landed on whatever meat he still retained. He folded his arms over his grate to bar entry to more of that acid burn crap.

He passed Encke on the way. "Take a drink, Argon. Recover that precious energy."

When he reached the monster, he leapt, then kicked it — a simple exercise in testing its tensile strength. If it began to crack, then they could shatter it with enough impacts. Better if it rained down where the White Moon concentrated.

Eternal Sailor Megrez, 8 Damage

"I-is that a freakin' KAIJU?!"

Megrez would have laid an egg herself if she could. She had fought various monstrosities in her senshi career, but none that were eighty friggin feet tall. Her first thought was to use her new attack on him, but would the egg shell even form around something bigger than a human? Probably best not to risk it. Her super attack would probably do the trick, particularly because she could lob it from a range and avoid the lightning effect and the pooling energy. She called the attack's name, then slung the ostrich egg at the beast as hard as she could.

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Ostrich Egg Toss!

Cupping both hands to catch it, Megrez manifests an ostrich egg. This egg can be thrown at the enemy. Ostrich eggs can be up to five pounds and they are significantly bigger than chicken eggs (here is a size comparison between an ostrich egg and a chicken egg, for reference), so this egg might actually hurt if thrown at someone. The goop and residue from this egg lingers for 30 seconds before disappearing. Can be used three times.

Captain Paracelsian, 5 Damage

This was obviously not going to plan for anyone at all.

As curious as he was about that merchant fellow and what he planned to do with the wisps, the presence of a towering monstrosity overrode any research or inquiry he wanted to do. How could he even attack that thing when it was leaking dangerous energy? His knife was short-range for obvious reasons, but the chilling, numbing effect it had could be an advantage if he could just get in there.

There was one thing he could do, though it would be a bit draining. He manifested his dagger and flung it at the creature's leg. It went a bit wide and didn't land with as much impact as he thought it would, but he could spend a little energy to recall it and repeat the tactic.

Sailor Fomalhaut (Basic), 7 Damage

Fomalhaut did not expect a literal giant monster to attack smack in the middle of the star festival. She was just going around and enjoying herself when Bam, giant giant giant monster. This circumstance was an unusual one on multiple levels, and with the apparent terrain hazard the monster was making, it made using her melee attacks difficult. She was stuck for an option, so she was just going to throw every rock and piece of environmental debris should could find at it. Surprisingly, it was kind of working. A few rocks got kind of stuck from the looks of it, which had to hurt, even if it was one speck on an 80 foot tall thing.

Lieutenant Nambulite, 7 Damage

Nambulite's jaw dropped when he saw the monstrosity that emerged from the merged wisps. First off, he'd never seen anything that big that wasn't a building. Second off, this nasty thing had a lot of gall emerging from the wisp hoard! Nambulite had worked hard to get his wisp, dangit. He'd jumped into a lake to get the thing, for crying out loud. It was above the lake, not in the lake, but it wasn't like there was an invisible video game fence around it. It was there, he could swim, and he went in to grab the thing.

Now, being practically weaponless presented a problem with the energy leak. There was no way he was going to wade into the danger pool and start slapping away at it. Instead, he was going to throw absolutely everything at it. Rocks, garbage cans, trinkets, other people- well, he probably couldn't get away with that last one, but if he could, he definitely would.

Princess Ganymede - 6

“You date?” Ganymede questioned Benitoite, making a mockery of shock, voice bright with amusement. “And here I thought you were too busy being Metallia’s b***h to bother with such petty things as dating.”

A part of her would like to hear about the dating experiences of one of her longtime foes, but now was hardly the best opportunity for it.

Some other time, perhaps.

The monster was leaking energy from the cracks forming along its leg, energy that burned when it made contact with her skin. Ganymede hissed in annoyance, but could do nothing about it now, what with the tail thrashing about. They were too close to it, and though Ganymede managed to avoid it, shoving Valhalla out of the way at the same time, there were still the falling trees to contend with.

“Look out!”

She knocked Valhalla out of the way again, guarding him as best she could, but there wasn’t much to be done except to avoid them.

But they were doing damage, that much was obvious. It was simply a matter of surviving long enough to land the killing blow.

“Benitoite, can you aim your spear into one of the cracks? Widen it. Take its legs out,” she said. He might be her enemy, but he was the one with the weapon. “Val, have Valkyrie swoop low. See if she can help.”

As far as what Ganymede could do… she was tempted to use her crystal, but that would incapacitate far too many people for far too long. They needed however much help they could get to keep this thing out of the city, even if that meant relying on people she would normally wield her power against.

Instead, Ganymede murmured “Sweet Seduction” again, hoping to keep the monster distracted.

Captain Prehnite - 10
Atk Total: 28

Glad he'd stepped out of dodge as quickly as he had, watching in horror as the beast felled any and all that lay behind in its wake with one mighty swish of a tail. Prehnite cursed under his breath, hope only brightening as he saw the creatures legs light up, fractal cracks and fractures apparent throughout its toughened hide. Blinding in their essence.

What a blessing, they were actually managing to do something. However slight it might have been. "I'm going to put a blade through that merchant if I see him again." Impossible not to note the orbs seeping free like glowing blood from a wound, yet instead of dripping down and seeping into the earth as he'd expected, they pooled then floated up and away.

The merchants errant wisps freed to the ether.

"Alright...here goes nothing..." and Prehnite dove back into the fray, skidded on uprooted earth dug by the creatures front claws, he was warry of getting to close to increasingly dangerous back-end of the beast.

Yet that seemed to be where the cracks were greatest, so he risked it. Heaved a breath as he exerted himself to get in quickly - To find a glittering fracture and dig both of his serrated trowels in. Panting against the pain of being in contact with the creatures luminous ichor, while he pried at the beasts flesh, like his weapons were a pair of edged wedges. Prehnite squinted against the brightness of it all, strained and threw himself into attempting to crack open the wound further and let the wisps seep free.

Asphodel Knight: 8 + 10

It had been a mistake to run right up to the monster right away. Asphodel was knocked back pretty far, and banged his head on something solid to boot. His vision swimmed as he struggled to get back up and reorient himself. It took him a couple minutes before the scene started making what little sense it did to him again.

Now the monster was leaking something. Plenty of people were shouting about it. And in all the commotion, he became sharply aware there were Negaversers here. None of them were immediately familiar, but their presence made him angry. He gave the ones that crossed his vision a sharp, silent look of disapproval. It was all he could justifiably do right now -- but the urge to rush at them, shout at them, was immensely strong.

The Saturn Knight channeled his anger at the monster instead, driving his spade into its flesh once again. The leaking energy seared his arms, but he didn't really care.

Corrupt Eternal Kamacite - 7 + 7 + 9

Kamacite had been hesitant the whole time to actually use his magic. He didn’t want to end up blinding Cymophane in the process. Friendly fire was always something he was concerned about, and would have to make sure Cymophane carried around some pretty heavy duty sunglasses with him from now on.

He was grateful for Cymophane’s assistance in getting him out of the way of the falling branch, and let out a small breath of relief, but was more concerned about his friend than anything else.

“I’m okay, he said, tucking his hands under his robes and pulling at the collar to keep himself from getting stung too much by whatever magic was seeping from the creature.

“Those sound like horrible ideas, too,” Kamacite pointed out, a little distressed at the idea of going into the Rift or facing a Princess. Especially after the last time he’d sort of but didn’t cross paths with one.

“Come on, before it decides to flatten the whole forest,” Kamacite said, offering his hand to teleport if it seemed as though the monster would do some significant damage as it continued to be weakened.

Paradise, Page of Cosmos - 9 + 4 + 3

Paradise knew without any doubt that Empyrean had tried to keep her grounded, but her dress was like a tent!! It wasn’t his fault the shockwave had picked it up like a balloon!

She smiled brightly at him, even if her cheeks were a little flushed from being thrown backwards. “I’m okay, darling. But yes, we are a little outmatched. I’m going to ruin my nails at this rate,” she sighed dramatically, but he would know she wasn’t at all serious about it. She loved getting her nails done just as much as she loved digging around in the garden.

“Fighter jets might be overkill,” she laughed, but nodded to how the monster seemed to be breaking apart around its legs. Well, there were definitely cracks of some kind, letting white wisps out to float around.

Paradise tugged on her husband’s hand to pull him farther away from the swishing tail, not wanting to get crushed. And it seemed like a very bad idea to come into contact with the energy leaking out of the monster. Some people closer to it seemed to be getting burned from the contact.

“Oh, dear… let’s try to stay away. Oh,” she paused when she saw a decent sized rock, picked it up, and hurled it towards the monster. Even as she did so a couple little pin pricks of white energy landed on her arms, and she let out a hiss from the pain. “Not good at all, darling.”

Captain Bloodstone - 5 + 8 + 7

Bloodstone was about to leave to go fight the monster. That was why they were there. They needed to keep it from destroying the city. Damn that alien and his wisps. It was obvious now that those must have had something to do with the creation of that monster, seeing as miniature ones were leaking out.

But before he could take a step forward, he felt Roselite grab onto his jacket.

“Rose--” Bloodstone started, but then stopped, growing in concern at the Lieutenant. He looked like he was in shock, and very much having a panic attack. Bloodstone tried swiping at the tiny wisps that floated around, brushing them away from his face, and then from Roselite’s face as well--

And then he took hold of Roselite’s arm and teleported them some ways away from the fight itself.

Perhaps a little more roughly than he’d intended, he pushed his hand up against Roselite’s chest so his back was up against a large tree trunk. Bloodstone had enough of a vantage point from there to make sure they could get out of the way of flying trees from when the monster went on its tail swishing rampage, but he knew he needed to get Roselite away from the chaos, at least for a little bit.

“Close your eyes,” he instructed. “And cover your ears.” If Roselite could focus on one sense at a time by eliminating, or at least minimizing a couple other scenes, he should be able to focus on breathing. Bloodstone kept his hand against Roselite’s chest, making sure he was grounded against the tree, while also giving him something solid to focus on, instead of the world breaking apart around them.

General Benitoite
Damage: 11+7+4

Laughing the General shook his head. "Why sound so surprised? I'm far from ugly and I do have time, more than I used to in fact." The war had been stalling over the last few years, dragging on, it seemed it might never end...at least not in his life time. "I fight for her - but I'm not owned by her."

Watching as the legs seemed to crack and glow with energy he wondered if the legs could in fact be made to crack further and even shatter.

Dodging as best he could, teleporting even once, to avoid trees and the tail he nearly fell over as he moved to avoid a falling tree. Looking over to Ganymede he nodded his head while summoning his spear once more to his hand. "I'm sure I can, I was tghinking the same thing. Perhaps they can be shattered." That would be a good thing if they could be. Take it's legs out and then kick it in the face whilst it's down. He was not above beating something while it was down. "If I wasn't worried I"d get close and see if we can't energy drain it." Or see if it had a starseed which could be yanked. But he wasn't sure about that. As he saw wisps escaping it.

With his weapon in hand he took aim, glancing once towards the knight at Ganymede's side. "You bestg get your bird to go for the legs also." Focusing back on his task he took iam and sent the spear flying with as much force behind it as he could. He hoped the magic his weapon had recently gained would help, especially if the blade sunk into a crack.

Quote:
Magic: Wherever Benitoite's spear cuts/slashes/stabs it will leave a very cold or chilly sensation that will last for five seconds before fading/warming up. If the other player wants lingering feelings they can go for it.

Super Sailor Cetus of Kappa:
Damage: 6+9+4

So it was cracking? At least it looked like it was cracking but it was glowing. Could the beasts legs crack and fall off? Like glass cracking and falling apart because it did seem like it. Hopefuly that perhaps it could be cracked he was aiming to find something sharp which he could jab at it with, or throw at it's leg, whatever he was doing however was interupted as the beasts tail started to move and knock over trees.

Moving out of the way, rolling across the ground the senshi of kappa was as covered in debris as could be and he had landed on a sharp rock which had stabbed into his back and had him hissing in pain. It hadn't actually stabbed him, at least he was fairly certain of it, but it had certainly poked into him good and hard and let him know it was there. Rolling over it was not the best of ideas but he'd done just that, and perhaps there might have been some blood drawn though he did hope not. It was by luck that he didn't crushed by another falling tree, and just hit by some branches. Scratches and some blood drawn he wasn't as bad off as he could have been. He wasn't trapped under a tree.

When he got to his feet he was holding a stick he'd found. Snapping the end of it in hopes of making it into something sharp he tried to get as close to a leg as he could in order to try and stab at the cracks. It might not be a good idea but it was worth trying, right?
