Cecil was still suffering the effects of the lightning dust as he was trying to find his place, his mind scattering as his aura was doing it's best to protect his vital organs from the full force at ground zero. He could hear the screams of others around him, with Danae being the most pronouced. Someone he had known from Signal had been hurt because of him.... he could hear movement around him as he felt the steel vibrations of the bridge and he strained his eyes to move, finding some ease as he noticed the lightning was beginning to wear off, but he saw Adam's torso hanging off while the words he spoke muffled as were Azura's words. The darkness ahead made it impossible to see but just when he thought things couldn't get worse.... his hearing had cleared up as he heard a loud bang. Soon, he watched as portion of the wood broke off and the rest was set ablazed right before him. 'No....no no no no no no!' He mentally screamed as his muscles twitched and spasmed against his will as his mind was practically screaming for him to move. The lightning weakened as the flames reached infront of Cecil.... his left iris gaining a small ring around it as he clenched his teeth, his body had regained control, even for a moment it followed his command. He reached into his back pocket as he heard the machine's order of safety reasons on the darkness. "NO! THAT'S NOT RIGHT MACHINE!" He shouted in defiance as he pulled out one of his three full ice dust crystal, raising it high up before plunging it into the wood before him, the flames burning his hands as he crushed the dust crystal, using the power inside to create a pathway of frozen ice, clinging to their side of the bridge and creating almost a complete path forward. It was a temporary solution that the heat of the magma below will consume more quickly within time. He forced himself to a stand, breaking his hand free of it's own icy tomb while he turned towards the Machine and their teacher. "Nnnngh...... the problem is...... my fault....." He told his two comrades in pained grunts as he was trying to keep calm and remained focus enough to fight. The air around him had slightly chilled, but it was no match for the magma below, especially with the electricity around him still apparent.

Ora felt the cold ground under her head. She groaned loudly. She wanted to just say down. At least she didn't feel like the air was taking the life from her lungs. She wanted to stay down. However a sharp kick rolled her over. She would crack her eyes open. Above her was herself? She was very confused by this. She would try to talk, but then a sharp kick would hit her in the side. If this was her actual body, her ribs would have either been cracked or broken. "I get it, I'm getting up." She would get up, the copy was talking to her, yet no words escaped it's mouth.

However, the creature was not done with Ora yet, the creature would punch Ora in the stomach as she got up, a bestial scream finally leaving her lips. Ora couldn't help but fall to her knees, holding her stomach. "What do you even want with me?" she would plead, tears welling in her eyes from the pain. The beast would lift her up by her neck, and it's blood red eyes would stare into the umber ones. "It's not stupid to stand for what you believe. It's something I'm willing to die for!" She would screech back at the creature. She would then be slammed into a wall, before she was bent over a wall. "I don't care what you think anyway, you are just anger, the only emotion that I couldn't control!" She would look down, unafraid of what was seen below. Below was a steady ocean, barely making waves. This was how Ora always felt about her emotions, that they would come in waves, but why was there a wall? Shouldn't it all be ocean?

The beast would slam her against the wall and roar again at her. "So what? For once I'm calm? Like I give a s**t." She would say back to them. "No, I don't want to take a dip. Plus, you would never last a day as me." She would be brought back up and slammed up against the wall. She'd be bloody by now if this was in an actual fight. Ora would put up her hands, spitting out some blood. "Come on, we both know I'm too stubborn of a b***h to go down without a fight. It's my damned body, and as the Demon I am, I'll fight against people who want to subject me to torture, who want to subjugate me, and who want to take all that I cherish!" She would charge at the beast, however, the beast just hit her down to the ground. Ora was feeding the beast with her anger. She would keep going at her, only to be brought down every time.

This boy, this 'Darius,' was on to a mighty important detail. Huntsmen academies weren't what they used to be. In the past, it was a profession for protection. Students who proved their worth were praised because they could protect people from Grimm. Now, though, the only academy left standing was nothing more than a militia. Where the Vale Military was lacking, it was expected that these students would be trained to fill their positions. It wasn't a matter of solely the Grimm anymore, it was created harbingers of war. Aurtrox himself said he was creating war beast because that was the only thing that could save this land from the Grimm. That was the only thing that could reclaim the lost nations. Was all that really worth sacrificing the compassion that a huntsmen was once capable of expressing? Then again, who was he to judge? This man had brought far more sins than all these students combined. Many claimed this man to be a monster, when in actuality he was just a man of finer tastes. One who desired more than a single man could accomplish in one life time. There was no need to pursue this conversation any further, elsewise he would become a hypocrite and he was very well aware of that.

Far too much of this data was encrypted, and would truly take hours to really begin to crack. Put it past the Atlas Military to actually have their secrets under lock and key, but he was a locksmith. All the data would be dumped, copied or moved to his own storage for further cracking. Rather than trying to break it all here, he'd instead make a note to keep in contact with his 'partners' in order to share the sauce if it was important. What he was particularly interested in was what these prototypes were, as well as what had actually happened before this lab was abandoned. The purpose of this lab, the purpose of the prototypes, and what caused its downfall. All this information was kept hidden away in the confiscated files, as well as the black box. All of which were now on its person, copied and ready to be cracked. "Well, this was certainly a military base. Encryption after encryption, a firewall to burn it all down. It'll take time to really get somewhere, something that we do not have." He noted, also hearing the obnoxiously loud footsteps of a student who managed to move just faster than his own trap. Rather unfortunate for him, as he managed to get himself trapped as he tried to trap them. The last of the files had been transmitted to its storage via contact, allowing him to break his hand away from the tower. Behind would be left a single, newly encrypted message. Hidden within this file was a single line of text. "The Collective thanks you for your patronage." Everything else that wasn't tied to the motherboard itself would've been stripped from the servers, so long as its own hacking ability could manage such a feat. "Fortunately Atlesian security was my personal forte' once upon a time. There were encrypted files that mentioned those, which may perhaps be the most interesting thing about this place." The machine would indicate while pointing a robotic digit towards the canisters that Darius was trucking around. The machine, ancient in looks and design, would peer out the window at the one-eyed student who seemed so keen on intruding with their affairs. 'I didn't think he'd be the one to get this far. Perhaps he's more valiant than I gave him credit for, after being saved by Megalodon.' Perhaps disappointed, perhaps intrigued. Its panel covered gaze would then shift towards Ghost. If the machine could smile, he would see the amusement at his plan. "Devilish. I approve." With that, the two would get to work.

Darius had gotten his supplies, Atlas had gotten his information. Meaning, there was no point in sticking around. Connected with the machine outside, it also knew that Rachel was ready to run rampant, and a special student that was left off the radar had been invited to play. Truly amusing. It was astonishing how well a plan could come together with at least semi-competent partners. The machine would take mantle at the door. Fortunately for the duo, these robots were designed in order to replace huntsmen with quality numbers. One of their greatest feats was in fact a strength, which would be apparent as the machine gave it its all when attempting to move the door. Unphased by the smoke creeping in, the machine continued to push forward in order to crack the door open to release the cloud of smoke. Not as dark as his associate's cloud, but certainly enough to mask both their appearance as well as the vapor of dust that'd be applied to the student.

If all went according to plan, the machine wouldn't hold back any longer as force the door open against the lightened hunter. If they created the opening, then it would be time to make a speedy escape. The machine knew how to dismantle the light dust barrier with its own active machine, and would do so for them to pass through. It was unfortunate that the crystal wasn't capable of multiple uses, as it would've been more than delighted to trap the student within his walls. "I'll let you lead this one, Darius.

Quite literally paralyzed from the electrical current coursing through her veins, the woman continued to twitch violently. It was harder to tell if it was the electrical current causing her muscles to twitch and tighten, of the woman trying to retain her grip on reality. A battle that she wasn't just losing, it was one that was lost before the battle had even started. With each violent jerk, her body collapsed to the ground with the severed leg of a student she had carried all this way. Over and over she'd jerk and twitch, the one tracked mind thought process continuing to ring through her head. Hunt. Bite. Rip. Tear. Consume. All she wanted to do was eat, that's all that mattered. She was meant to do just that, and was worthless otherwise. All she was meant to do was eat. To eat... Eat...

She could smell it. It was stale, but present. Blood, meat. The severed leg of that student, Eve, who somehow managed to grow another back like it was no problem. Even if it was at least an hour old, it was still meat all te same. Blood. Flesh. Meat. Bone. Even as her body twitched, as her head jerked back, crimson hues focused on the student's leg that had fallen next to her. Even with her muscles tightened against her, her mind trapped in a cage, she reached. Calling on every fiber of her being, even as the electrified nerves rejected her, she pushed forward. First one arm stretched out, slamming her palm into the metal plates beneath them. It dented with the force she struck, her fingers curling so tight that her nails left faint incisions. Then her left arm. It reached forward, slammed into the surface, giving her the grounds to move. To lurch forward in a sudden movement, a hunter claiming its prey. Even with electricity staticing across her flesh, the predator lunged at the severed leg. As she opened her jaw, the mask that was attached to her face clicked. Metal hinges opened, revealing an abyss of teeth and despair. Her gaping maw gobbled the stale meat straight down her gullet. Her rows of razor-sharp teeth shredding the meat, crushing the bone, slurping the blood. It was as is she hadn't eaten in months, in years, because that was exactly the case. Even if it had the faint taste of a lizard, it was human meat all the same. A forbidden delicacy that she hadn't tasted since the foul taste of that retched man. ... That man... He's here. He had to be. That man. That monster. That cynical ********. She'd kill him again and again, she'd rip his head straight from his spine.

Her spine curled, her muscles tightening before expanding as the taste of flesh and blood coursed through her. Aura began running rampant as scales began to detail and line her body, blood dribbling from the corners of her lips. Her breathing had become heavy, taxed as it grew more rapid. She couldn't get enough air with this mask on, but she had no choice. It was her. To remove it would be to remove her own face. Despite her strained breathing, the metal hinges clicked shut again as her head began twitching and jerking back and forth. Her spine curled into a hunch, her open palms pressing against the bridge to push her up to her feet. Each movement was sporadic and twitchy, still fightning the electricity coursing through her. But, that wasn't enough to stop her. Not the Megalodon. Even with every nerve screaming in agony against this pain, it wasn't enough to stop this beast. She was up on her feet again, veins buldging across her hands, arms, even her neck. Her blood was pumping harder than ever while it seemed a veil of crimson aura was overflowing from her person. This wasn't enough. She needed to eat. She needed to kill. The woman would let out a shriek of anguish, as if fire coursed through her very veins. As if she was dying, but that wasn't the case. IT was a warning. She was hunting.

On her feet, the effects of the dust shoved aside, crimson hues fell on the members of team dark. Except, she didn't see them as that anymore. Normally her semblance wasn't this violent. Normally she could tell a difference, but not this time. Not with what he had done to her, with what she was going to punish him for. The students of team dark were faceless, her vision running red. To her, they were puppets. To her, they were him. They smelled of fear, they smelled of blood. They could be eaten, the could be killed. Just like he was. To the teacher, these students were no different from the man who tortured her for so many years. She'd bite them, she'd rip them apart. She'd make sure that he never came back, that they didn't leave this place alive.

Her crimson hues immediately darted to the one who screamed the loudest. It was all inaudible to her, most demonic screeching that she'd have to silence. In her eyes, it was a cry of despair. A last ditch effort that an animal would howl before it died, she was not afraid of it. Instead, she would scream in retaliation. She wasn't afraid, she wouldn't back down. She was the dominate predator, and she'd end his misrable life. She grew the anchor from her back, the teeth riddled chain woven around her fingers. She'd throw the anchor, the sharped hooks at the edge folding out to maximizing their size. She'd attempt to bisect the student without hesitation. But, if he dodged or managed to hook it, she'd simply jerk the chain to pull the anchor back in her direction, to anchor it into either the student or the surface of the bridge. IF they weren't careful, it would hook on their ridged bridge of ice and wood. Meaning with enough strength, pulling that anchor could destroy their work. At this point, the teacher had already made her approach. She darted across the bridge, not just her strength but her speed having increased with the adrenaline coursing through her. Unless interfered would be upon Cecil in a moment's notice, her left arm reeling back to throw a mighty punch directly at his chest. Her strength had been hightened so much that it'd feel like getting hit by a car, but that wouldn't be the extent of the damage. With her curled fist, another set of sharpened enamel would protrude out of her vambrace. At the moment of contact, whether with him or whatever defense he had, it would unleash a volley of teeth to embed into whichever received it. Ripped to ribbons.

'One, two, Becky's coming for you. Three, four, your luck is so poor. Five, six, we sail the river styx. Seven, eight, the vultures haven't ate. Nine, ten, you'll never see again.'

Akuryo was there as everything happened, and manipulated it as necessary to suit his needs ever so elegantly. Ora tackling her ally Vance? Her initial response was to use her attempt at a tackle at him after his body check to reverse her momentum, keeping her from falling off of the small fighting ledge they had in the darkness and instead leading her by her neck towards her own ally, driving them both through the ice wall that Darius had erected. He nullified her attack thankfully and managed to defeat two birds with one goat. During his rotational reversal with the goat, he watched as the bee girl shrunk, something he didn't see coming, but he knew how to deal with it once Ora drove Vance through the wall. He silently looked towards where the bee girl zipped into, a small crack amongst other cracks to hide. Oh but that was a terrible idea. A terrible idea sport! What made it worse was the two weak beams of plasmic energy that shot out, easily missing the man. They revealed her location all the same before he watched as an eyepatch kid ran through the ice.

Things got complicated as he could see the hardlight wall activating after the butterfly moved into the ice hole. They left the little bee to a true hornet... it was a simple task now of ensuring the bee's incapacitation as he silently pulled out a red-dust infused dagger from his bandolier. With a simple flick of his wrist, his eyes aimed in the direction of where the beams came from.... he launched the dagger right towards her spot, not directly into the hole or crack of the rock face, but close enough to let her know it was a bad idea to be small. In the darkness, and outside to the volcanic bridge of ice, there was a loud sound of an explosion, rocks were shooting off from where the dagger exploded, near the bee's rock, fire engulfing all around in a 15 ft radius while the shockwave of it effectively made evasion all the more difficult. The bee herself had to deal with three effects of one explosion at her size... and it was not like the hornet cared. No, he didn't for what caught his attention afterwards made him bewildered and astonished, a brilliant light coming from the ice wall.

It was then he remembered something from his past.... the words of his comrade named Elliot. "Even embers can become a new blaze... that is my obligation. For you Akuryo.... where true light exists, you will be the shadow to taint it. We exist because the world demands our services... good and evil we care not, for what we do is for the betterment of balance. Whether they like it or not." His words echoed so clearly in his head that he began to walk towards it, his darkness dissipating as he got closer to her till he noticed what was going on. He was just beyond the light as it was surrounded by darkness, yet he could see her so clearly... slowly, he calmed himself and his eyes look relaxed, yet dead inside. He reached into his jacket and pulled out a blood bag, his last one that wasn't splattered.... he chose to use it for a bit of a calligraphy lesson. Akuryo opened the pouch up, the sound of blood spilling onto the ground being hearable to Lunia and Lunia alone as he was close enough, she could see the small splashes of blood before he tossed the bag behind him once it was empty. He slowly approached, his shins, shoes, and his left hand covered in blood before he stopped just before her barrier. She could see him staring into her eyes while his darkness still radiated behind him.

His darkness was weaker where he was, but it didn't stop existing... the light just merely pushed it back for the time being. He soon brought his left hand up and as if time stood still, he wrote on her barrier in blood. The letters constructed the following: 'LET ME IN'... Each letter already having blood sliding off and down her barrier as the man seemed unfazed, his eyes still focused on hers, waiting for her to do something before, during, and after he finished writing his sentence.

Conditions were poor at best, bleak at worst, but it felt somewhere in between. Enemy unknown, what she could see was... minimal. Adrenaline fueling the Faunus she heard a noise, one she was familiar with, air resistance and the sound of the blade hitting stone. With it close she immediately took off, and thankfully she did, just as the wall erupted into flames. The eruption would throw her forward, making her spin. Quick to think her harness would adjust to balance her. Sadly her landing would be rough, though she braved the best she could. Bouncing a little and getting a few hits from rocks her bearings would quickly adjust. Lena was thinking, running, but most importantly trying to survive. Hoping to lose the foe's sight line she dove into some cracks within the ground. "Thank you fellow insects..." Moving about the creature tunnels Lena was trying to think what’s next. She couldn’t see her attack but could tell they could track her plasma streaks.

“Inspiration is found everywhere you look.
The trick is to capture it and make it something your own."

Vance Merlo
[The Artist]
Team: LMAA

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vance was still in a daze having been hit by who now he saw was the girl named Ora, who was on top of him. The normal calm person he was had caused his face turn a bright rose, unsure of what to do. With that armor, the boy was pinned down on the ground, unable to get up or move from where he was. However, his savor came in the form of his team captain, who came to check on him to see if he was okay. The captain set him free as Ora was rolled off of Vance, allowing him to sit up and try to calm his heart beat. "I'm okay. Though, I don't thing I will be able to take another hit like that." He said as he didn't think that he would be run over today, and if he was hit like that again, he could die. The boy would then look over as Lunia put on her friend's gas mask on, saying how she had been foolish to not have done it before. He couldn't help but wonder why Ora didn't have her gas mask on in the first place, but that was a question for another time. Vance looked to his captain as she grabbed his shoulders and told him what he needed to do.

He was told to defend Ora while Lunia went to go face the unknown threat with the others. The boy wanted to help too, but he then looked over to the unconscious faunus and knew he had to protect her. Right... He said with a nod, feeling inspired by his team leaders bravery and was ready to follow her orders. Vance watched Lunia leave out of the hole he and Ora had created and pulled of his brush from his holder. He was ready in case something happened or if he had to grab the faunus and run, though he might have a bit of trouble with the armor. The boy paused as move his attention behind him and saw smoke coming for the door behind the light wall. "Eh? Eh! Light wall don't that in!" He said to the light wall, hoping that the wall would follow his request and not wanting to know what that smoke was. Vance was now in the middle of two situations that he didn't know how to handle and the order of staying with the faunus to protect her from now both sides. All he could do now was to stay alert and be ready to fight on both sides of this battleground.

Narx was holding the door closed as tight as possible. The two inside were rummaging around for a while, but all Narx could hear were the hollow mettalic echoes. "Someone get over here!" He would shout as he heard the two approach the door. After a moment or two he would feel them trying to open the door, but Narx held firm. The Veins popping on his arms as he kept a firm hold, but then he felt a surge of power from the other side. "Must be that damned robot!" He groaned. Narx held valiently for some time, but the constant force exerted by the robot was wearing him down. All it took was one slip, and Narx felt the spokes start to inch in the opposite direction. "Is anyone able to help?!" He shouted, but it was too late. The grinding of metal started to gain pitch as the wheel finally turned most of the way, and with a small click, the door inched open. Smoke pouring out, but then he saw a flash of purple and then his feet were off the floor. "Aaaaaaaahgh!" Narx shouted as he lost his footing. The door slammed wide open and Narx was sent flying off into the air in the direction the door open. He slammed into the wall with a loud thud before the gravity dust wore off and he came falling back to the ground. Fortunately his grey aura sparked as he made contact both times protecting him. He landed just fine, with one arm and one leg kneeled down. His hammer, ꓄ꃅꍟ ꉓꋪꍏꅏ꒒ꀤꈤ, already out in his other hand.

"Some doors are best left closed..." Narx would whisper before his head jerked upwards. His one eye full of fury, and locked onto the pair. He would wait till they had both clearly exited and then he would lift his hammer and with a deep breath he'd slam it down, activating one of his ultimate moves where he unleashed an entire normal human's worth of aura in a single shockwave blast of aura. Since the area was enclosed there wasn't much anyone could do to dodge it. The door would slam shut, and surely the two would both be slammed against the wall with incredible force. The attack would shove even Narx backwards against the wall once completed. A massive dust devil would form making vision hard.

Lunia stood still, in silence for what seemed like an eternity. All that she could hear was her breathing becoming more rapid, as her heart rate increased and almost felt like it was up at the top of her throat. She attempted to calm herself down as she stared into the abyss that was in front of her, talking herself through everything in her mind. "So you're here now.. what are you planning to do when it comes for you? You were the worst fighter in your family Lunia, what makes you think you can protect anyone?" she said to herself, doubt beginning to take over her mind as her hands shook from fear.

Another few seconds passed of silence, and she gripped her hands tightly, a look of determination now on her face. "Shut up Lunia!" she thought to herself, "Don't make this sacrifice in vain.. I can be the light in this darkness, Keaton will light my way.." she said, almost trying to convince herself of such a lie. Raising her hands up in front of her, she stretched out her palms as they began to glow with such a bright, resounding light. A barrier began to form in front of Lunia and the wall, stretching out a good distance, attempting to hold off whatever attack came for the area. Then she saw it, him. Lunia attempted to remain calm, her eyes narrowing to the newcomer as he very slowly, and sadistically approached her barrier. Lunia held her hands out as she held the barrier up, she watched as he drew on the barrier, not something she had ever considered possible before. Inside she was shaking, what should she do? Her barrier was strong, but how strong was he?

The blood dripped down her barrier, almost making her want to vomit on the spot, she didn't know who's blood this was, but she certainly didn't intend for it to include hers. Her eyes were attached to his, they didn't part ways and he was evidently waiting for her to react. Her eyes flickered with slight fear, but she maintained composure well behind her barrier, not wanting to make the first move but also not wanting to let him get any closer to the entrance she was protecting.

Lunia opened her mouth, and before she could think she spoke. "W-what do you want?" she said, her bright blue hair illuminating from the light of her barrier, even a lab monkey could figure out who she was related to. Lunia would move her left leg slightly behind her right, showing she was ready to defend her position, she was ready for anything and would protect everyone behind her.

His eyes locked on Anderson while still in a defensive stance. He awaited any move she made, but thinking about it acting first would be wise. He had to get himself and his team outta there. By any means necessary. As she was occupied fighting against her defiant body, he slowly reached into Azura's bag grabbing 2 ice dust. "I'm going to borrow this, Azura. I'm sorry." he said. She wasn't their teacher anymore. She was nothing more than an animal. He's felt this before, but not to this degree. She was on another level. Adam felt as if he were in a deep ocean. Black above and even darker below. The only thing he could see clearly was the gigantic body of a shark twitching and itching to devour him. Sweat trailed its way down the sides of his face. Not from the heat, but from his senses being on high alert. He was brought from his illusion at the bellow of Cecil. He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. Adam watched intently as she fought through the paralysis. Desperately trying to reach his fellow student's severed limb. With his senses at their peak he could see every twitch and spasm fighting against her trying to halt her movements, but her own body's efforts were moot. "What the heck is our teacher?" he thought. He watched as she feasts on the leg. Consuming as if it were the tastiest thing in all of Remnant. He was no stranger to cannibalism in the slightest given some winners in the PlayPen demanded... interesting prizes. Of the bodily kind. He's never partaken in said activities because he beats he don't eats. The flesh and sinews ripping and popping. The crushing and crunching of bone. The squelching sounds of biting and chewing into raw meat, the hard gulping of blood and chewed food. He watched it all. He had to. "Where did all those teeth come from?!" he asked as he got a look inside of her maw. It looked as if the body of their instructor was going through a metamorphosis as her muscles contracted and expanded. Electricity still danced about her body and it's as if she couldn't feel it was there. No longer a person, just walking instinct and bloodlust. Adam got in an even lower defensive position as she grew scales across her body. He listened as her breathing grew heavy. He was looking at a monolith of a beast. A predator not to be trifled with. She pushed herself off the onto her feet still a twitching mess veins protruding her body. He could practically see them pulsing as he watched her. He locked eyes with her even though he was positive that she couldn't recognize anyone anymore. The feeling of the hunt was so strong on her you could practically grab it. He followed her eyes to Cecil and Adam jumped in front of him. He noticed the ice bridge and his eyes grew wide with an idea. Before he could even act on it Anderson reached for her weapon and hurled her weapon towards her students. He pushed Cecil to the ground and ducked under the weapon itself. He kept his eyes on her even as he dodged and heard the weapon lodge itself into the ice bridge. "Crap!" he shouted. He grits his teeth and reassumed his defensive position. "I gotta get them over the bridge! It's gonna melt!" he thought not thinking of himself. "Wait. She didn't pull her anchor?" he thought. "We all still have a chance then!" he cheered mentally. It celebration was cut short as the teacher began to quickly close in. His eyes sharpened as he grabbed the dust and threw it on the ground, just before she read for a punch, creating a thick wall of ice between the students and teacher. Making sure to trap the chain of the anchor in the wall to give them even more of a chance to escape. Even if it was just a second. He knew it wasn't going to hold her, but this was the best he could do in this situation. Without wasting time, he picked Cecil and Azura up swinging them for a second in each arm before sliding them across the ice bridge. Much faster than carrying them. He proceeded to run across the makeshift bridge himself while looking back to keep an eye on their pursuer.

Charlotte Aoyama

[ P O S T ]

Charlotte was going to open her mouth to say something to the group with her on the wrong side of the bridge though the sudden mention of her name caused her eyes to dart to the machine speaking. In turn she instinctively tilted her head to the right hand side. Her tail drooping that direction as well and even twisting to form a small question mark.”You know m..” Was all she got out before her eyes focused on the flashing squares and numbers. A shiver running down her spine as she slowly approached the machine. A tinge of what it looked like Anger hitting her face and tail as it lifted into the air. Even drooling its trademark venom. Even the hair on the back of her neck standing up on end as she seemed to ‘chitter’ at the Knight. Her tail only after a step started swaying from side to side above her head poised to strike at a moment's notice.

Even the woman's aura started to flare up a bit as it tried to come back online. Struggling as she hadn't fully recovered from the earlier incident yet. Her breathing slowed right down as her eyes narrowed towards rachel. Her mind tried despretly to focus she started to give in. Her right hand pulling out her knife and placed it into her mouth. Locking it into place as it went back to retrieve her pistol. Her left holding onto her umbrella waiting. Hungry… Needy… for a feast

Ghost smiled as he felt the door give way, thoughts on the past conversation with the robot out of his mind for the moment. The plan had worked as they were no longer trapped in the room, though it had taken considerable effort. Whoever the guy was, he was very strong. It was only with combined efforts of himself and the robot, along with some sneaky gravity dust, that he had been able to dislodge the guy for them to get out. Which the pair wasted no time. As soon as the door gave way entirely to being pushed, they would both book it. They didn't want to waste any time here after all; the plan was hit and run. Staying to fight would only leave it in the students favor. As they both ran they would see him crash directly across from them into the light wall with a thud, another one sounding as he landed. 'Is that really as long as it lasts? The dust here is of such low quality.' He thought to himself with slight disappointment. He had expected it to last much longer than it actually had, even if it got the immediate job done. They were only about halfway across when the man began to rise, fury in his eye. Ghost saw the hammer get lifted up before being slammed down...

...and a shock-wave of what seemed like aura flow from that point as the man was knocked back. A quick glance up and around told Ghost he had nowhere to grapple to for an easy escape. He was almost mentally preparing to take the hit when he remembered he still had ice dust, if in bullet form. "Dust, now!" He would say to the robot with him as he would throw his ice dust bullets into the ground in front of them, to try and create a thick ice wall to shield them from the impact. If the flare gun wasn't slow for reloading and firing,he would have used that instead. He wished he had brought earth dust though, as he was unsure if the ice wall alone could hold against the blast. Which was why he had told the robot to use dust as well, to help either stop it form hitting them or lessen the impact. 'Such a strong weapon for a student.' He quickly thought to himself. They had no other way to avoid the explosion as far as he could tell, so this was their best and only bet to do so. Which sucked that this guy was such an annoying thorn at the moment. It would be so much easier if he would've just gone down quietly. But then...this made things much more interesting in his mind, and a much more exciting finish. Ghost would brace for the impact, in whatever form it may come or may not.

If the dust wall held:

Ghost would open his eyes as he heard the impact against the wall, the sound of the crash of the door slamming shut behind them, and dust swarming around what was left of their barrier. He would normally sigh in relief, but not now while tensions were high. Not even sparing a thought for the robot, assuming it would be more than fine, he would move around the corner with squinted eyes to try to prevent dust from entering them. It was hard to see which was good an bad; he did not know exactly where the one eyed student was, but the same would be true. He would not run, merely walk quickly yet silently forward to use this cloud of dust as cover for him. The persons attack had backfired, in Ghost's mind, as it had made it his element now. He would go in the direction he last remembered the door to be, but be on guard and listening for the person to try and pin point where he was...and to make sure he himself was not surprised. He would let the robot work on the door, and they would have to deal with whatever came next. He would be actively trying to remain hidden though, in wait in case the student decided he wanted to be a hero again. If he tried to attack the robot or didnt notice ghost and ghost noticed him...ghost would use that to his advantage.

If the dust wall was shattered:

Ghost would be launched back as the dust wall he had been using for cover would shatter, broken by the shock wave of the students hammer. He wouldn't fly all the way back to the wall, but he would skid across the floor as bit as he used his arms to shield his head and vitals. A slate grey aura would flash from the impacts before quickly fading away. He grit his teeth and groaned slightly as he pushed himself up into a crouch, eyes opening then immediately closing for a moment. 'Dust.' He thought to himself as he slowly reopened his eyes. It seemed like the air was full of dust now, obscuring vision so he couldn't see too far away. He had no idea where the robot had landed either from the impact, or where it was, but it did not matter for now. He would push himself back to his feet and listen briefly, to see if anyone immediately was charging him. He hadn't seen what happened to the student after the shock-wave, so he could be anywhere for all he knew. But then...so could Ghost, as a sinister smile crossed his lips. The student, while landing a good blow, had made a tragic mistake. And that was providing Ghost with a way to hide and conceal his presence. Assuming the robot would have the same thought as himself, Ghost would quietly advance in the direction he remembered the hard light wall to be. Not to hard when you were thrown back in a not too wide room, the only real thing he could encounter before it would be the robot or the student. Actively using his stealth as he traveled, he would listen and watch around him for any signs of the student. Taking out his flare gun and loading a fire dust round inside of it, as he was also ready to use his hidden weapon. While his ultimate goal was the hardlight wall and escape, he would also see about getting equal with the student. 'Let the fun begin.' He thought to himself with a smile. If he didn't notice ghost and ghost noticed him...ghost would use that to his advantage. If he didn't seem to encounter the student, he would merely stay by the wall and try to find the device that was used to create it while keeping alert.

It was an impressive feat on the student's behalf to hold out for so long. Even as a machine designed for combat and heavy lifting that was beyond normal human circumstances, it was remarkable that Narx could be so resilient. There were only a number of individuals that it could recall being capable of such strength. This one-eyed boy really was more than met the eye, even if only for a moment. The machine had held its ground, holding strong by design to accomplish its goal. It was through their combined efforts that the duo managed to crack the door open. From there, it was over. With a surge of vibrant purple light, the student had been dislodged and the sinister duo was free. Except, it appeared that the quality of dust had diminished from years of faded use, as the boy was up on his feet again in no time. The machine was slower than Ghost, but even he had only made it partway across the room before the student took up arms again. With a mighty hammer in tow, reminding the machine of Rachel's own massive anchor, he was ready to shut them down for good. If the machine was capable, it would smirk. To witness such emotion in its purest form, fury from the betrayal and manipulation, there was an odd sense of satisfaction from it. Something that the operator of both machines lived for, a test that stemmed from a series of actions and reactions. Emotions were one of the most inconsistent variables, resulting in some of the most interesting outcomes. Especially at such a young age.

That weapon, though, was nothing to trifle with, just as these combat drones were. As it called forth an unprecedented amount of aura, the machine's own worn sensors were off the chart. Anyone capable of detecting aura would see the dangers if it wasn't obvious from the own wielder being blasted back like a ragdoll. Still, the machine left the lead in the hands of Ghost, who already had a gameplan. Dust. All it needed to do was see the shimmer of blue that his comrade had produced before mimicking it itself. A wall of ice would erupt in front of the two on behalf of his companion, the dust bullet shattering. In immediate reaction, the machine would provide its own support. The machine could've used earth dust, but it was saving that for their possible need to cross the bridge after this was all over. Ice would only be so effective outside of this lab, as proven by the various huntsmen that were utilizing ice in the fight against Rachel. A series of micro panels in the machine's opposite hand would open up, the chamber emitting a bright blue light. "Allow me to provide assistance." Harnessing the power of ice, the machine would break down its own ice dust in order to harness its raw energy. A vibrant burst of cerulean would erupt from its palm, the channeled element drastically enhancing the created ice wall. This not only increased its size and thickness but overall resistance as the presence of frost was skewed through the room by the impact, creating a medley of a dustcloud and frigid temperature, despite being in the depths of a volcano.

Once again through a series of combined efforts, Ghost and the Atlesian pulled off a phenomenal feat. Despite the strength of the student's weapon, how it seemed to rumble the lab itself, the enhanced wall of ice stood its ground. It itself wasn't worried about its own wellbeing, but the compatriot that worked alongside. Merely nodding, it acknowledged Ghost's own survival in the situation, catching only a glimpse of his figure before fading into the cloud of dust that the student had created. Truthfully, that may have been Narx's greatest mistake. "To give an assassin a veil to hide beneath is to sign your own will in cursive.' It wasn't so much his battlefield anymore, but the false students. He was merely a player in the game, now. Fortunately, the machine wasn't sensitive to either the dusty situation or the sensation of cold. Truly the only real inconvenience was the obscured optical sensors, resulting in muddled vision. Still, it had a basic idea of the layout of the room, as well as a pinpoint location for the small device it had planted for the hard light wall. Ghost was already on the move, so the machine would take its own lead, emerging on an opposite side of the wall. 'I do hope he can keep the student busy.' Divide and conquer, one might say. It kept its eye out for the student, wherever he had managed to crash after such a display, though truly the room was difficult to navigate. If it hadn't been terribly interrupted, the machine would locate the now disabled hard light emitter, clearly damaged from the impact of the shockwave. It was useless now, and wouldn't tear down the wall on command. Still, not one to leave evidence, it would grab the small device, then bring its attention to the hard light wall. It had a series of cracks, barely standing after the impact of the aura shockwave. As always, Atlesian dust proved to be the finest of all the nations. Alas, it was still so shortlived in his eyes. 'I suppose it's time we make our exit.' A series of processes brought it to that conclusion. With the damaged device attached to its side, the machine would plunge the fingertips of both hands into the center of the hardlight wall. Where there were already a series of large cracks, its own strike would cause a spiderweb of cracks to stem from impact; as if shattering glass. Curling its fingers in opposing directions, the machine would begin pulling in opposite directions, having only a moment of strain as the cracks continued to grow, continued to spread, until it reached all four corners of the wall. Then, just like that, it would give way, shattering their barrier like a window. Shards of hard light would fly into the air, before disappearing into nothing. Now with ventilation, it was likely that the dust and frost would be funneled through the room by nature, escaping just as they intended to. In fact, that may very well work to cover their escape as it bled into darkness.

If the student had managed to engage with the machine either at the wall or beforehand, without Ghost's help, it was ready to use its own designed combat skills to take the student head-on. Right now, it was uncertain if its engineered strength was enough to combat the student head-on, but it had a number of sneaky tricks up its sleeve. .. Such as taking a page out of the killer's book, having a shard of electric dust on stand by within its wrist.

[[Unfortunately, I didn't have time to write out a route B if the dust wall didn't hold, so I'm hoping that their combined efforts would prove their worth.
If it doesn't hold, the machine would only be knocked around slightly, utilizing its weight and strength to endure the hit. From there, it would follow a similar course of action. Ready to engage in direct combat if needed, but focused on getting to the hard light door and disabling it once and for all.]]

'One, two, Becky's coming for you. Three, four, your luck is so poor. Five, six, we sail the river styx. Seven, eight, the vultures haven't ate. Nine, ten, you'll never see again.'

Akuryo stared at Lunia, he was obviously taller than her by 5 inches as he stared down at her. He knew the insect had survived his explosion some how, but his sense of surroundings had been heightened as his focus on the girl rose. He slowly tilted his head while staring at her as she could clearly see the bones that line his gas mask, it seemed unnatural as it was over the filtration mask. He began to slowly tilt his head the other way as she asked him on what he wanted. He let his glowing red orbs they called eyes do the talking as he looked to the words he wrote on her barrier. He brought his left hand into his jacket before he pulled out what appeared to be a large red crystal as his eyes looked down and then to her. He was curious... how strong was her barrier? Could it survive an explosion by a large red dust crystal? Would he really risk it with how close he was already? The answer was no as he put it back but instead pulled out a scalpel.

He brought his right hand up and grasped the blade of the scalpel, keeping his eye on her while his movements remained quiet, cutting himself without so much of wincing as he placed his bleeding hand onto the wall once more. He slowly wrote the word, still prepared for any attack, 'Blood.' Once it was written, he backed up raising his hand as it dripped blood before he let it land upon his mask and his exposed face. He relished the moment as he stepped further back into the darkness, expecting her to retailiate, whether or not it was out of fear or anger was up to her. He was hidden once more and what's more, he had lowered his body, making it to where she couldn't attack him as he slowly crawled around, his leather shoes quiet upon the rock while his aura began to heal up his cut quickly. 'They're in trouble in there..... with that wall up I can't get past her..... the steel and ice could be destroyed to make an opening large enough for me.' He thought as his eyes fixated on her before his mind continued. 'But with her light, she could blind me.... I will risk it from darkness.' He tossed the scalpel off to the side, making a loud metallic TING sound as it hit the rock, denoting a location that wasn't close to him while he grabbed the large red dust crystal. He knew where to aim so he wouldn't be flung by the shockwave as he backed up some more before throwing it. The crystal flung towards the unprotected parts of the laboratory's wall with ice remaining on it, close to the barrier as a loud explosion could be seen and heard from the edge of darkness.

She needed to help, she had to help, she just didn’t know how. At her size she was harder to see and hit but Lena couldn’t see through thick smoke, though it seemed their attacker could. Crawling through the bug tunnels the ant sized Faunus moved around, trying to be quick. When a small enough crack for her to squeeze through came she popped her head up. Lena had found herself by the air vents, maybe they were for decontamination she wasn’t fully sure. Tapping the metal with her harness Lena would begin to cut, making quick work of the thin metal. Watch the way dust would flow she would walk against the wind, making her way deeper into the vent system. Meeting more metal Lena would keep cutting slowly finding her way into the chamber. Finding herself close to Ora and Lunia, though still a small distance away from them. Sprinting, after floating down the height of the room, over to Ora she was in a small panic. Her teammate was out cold! "Ora! Wake up! We need you!" If it was heard was up to Ora's conscious. "Oh.... Lunia! Over here!" Waving like a mad woman to get Jazz's girlfriends attention.
