Azura Knight

Azura was grateful that Cecil approved of her messaging to Scylla, but before she could find out what Scylla thought, their golden eyed leader cut into the conversation. Admittedly the illusionist was relieved to escape the very awkward social situation, but she also hoped Scylla would consider what Azura had told her. "Good luck on your special mission!" She called out as Ridley dragged her away, giving Scylla a farewell wave. What a sight the two girls must have made as Ridley pulled her right up to the beach, her heels leaving two lines in the sand.

Her soaking wet sarong was clinging to her legs and slowly dripping on the ground. She should have taken it off it ages ago, but with all of the excitement of Scylla, she had never gotten a chance. She was about to take it off when Ridley brought up ice cream. Slowly she straightened up once more, surprised that Adam didn't know what ice cream was. She opened her mouth, but then Adam seemed rather upset by the whole ice cream business so she decided it was better not to say anything. Was it better to keep a wet sarong on during the trip to the store or.....

The thought was interrupted by Cecil suggesting Adam take Ridley to the ball. Her blue eyes snapped upwards. Azura had never seen Ridley so gobsmacked and speechless before. Slowly she straightened, bracing herself for Ridley to go off on Cecil for the rather forward comment...and all at once the anger seemed to evaporate. Azura let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. She had enough fighting for one day. She even smiled a bit as Ridley cooly told Cecil to mind his own business. A smile which turned to shock when she was suddenly picked up by Adam for the second time that day. She made the usual squeak of surprise as she was whirled around and around by Adam before her feet finally touched the ground. Dizzy, she took an unsteady step forward before regaining her balance. Adam seemed to be looking for revenge against Cecil, but it was her who was caught in the crossfire. Already Adam and Ridley started walking to the store, and Azura glanced uncertainly at Cecil. "I would be happy to go with you if you wanted."

Azura enjoyed the long walk down the beach, mostly just people watching as was her way. Though mindful of how she and Cecil first met, she was careful not to let her gaze linger too long on any one person. By the time they reached the shop her sarong was starting to dry. Well, it was still pretty damp, but at least it wasn't dripping anymore. The cool air hit her as they entered the store. By the time Azura ordered her cookie dough ice cream goose bumps had risen on her arms and she couldn't wait to get back into the sun. Hugging herself, she made her way down to the till to collect her order. It was clear Ridley had forgotten her money, but surprisingly so had Azura. Between Scylla and all the talk about the ball, she had ended up just following the rest of DARK without stopping to grab her things....or even take off her wet clothing. She was about to apologize to Ridley when Kazuki Yome, their newest professor, offered to pay. At first, Azura thought that was rather kind of him until he flicked her on the forehead before making a swift exit. Azura watched him leave with her mouth hanging open in disbelief. Why would he offer to pay, just to be so rude about it? Before she could make a comment on it, Adam suddenly screamed in pain. She turned to see his ice cream had mysteriously vanished. "Oh no! Brain Freeze! All you can do it wait for it to stop I'm afraid." She told him sympathetically. "Should we head back to the beach?" She suggested hopefully, looking to get out of the cold with her damp clothes.

Cecil watched as his leader became so flabbergasted that she lost touch with her anger, causing him to mentally chuckle, he felt slightly proud while his face remained calm and serene as they were making their way to the Ice cream shop. That was when Adam's words also hit Cecil through the head, causing him to mentally and logically argue with his thoughts to sort through and find a proper answer as he looked to see Azura glancing at him uncertainly. He took a deep breathe and exhaled a visible breath. "Only if you want to, I won't take someone who is unwilling to go to the ball." He told her as he motioned for her to follow as they entered the shop. Cecil was trying to sort through his mind as he too forgot his wallet, something he intentionally tries to not do. He shook his head as he found something in his mind and his face became slightly heated, only for the grace of cold air to hit his face, calming him down.

He straightened his posture to stand as Adam got his ice cream and a teacher came and said they'd pay for their ice cream. Cecil was going to make that teacher regret that before he looked to Azura. She seemed to be wanting to get back to the beach before he soon said, "But then we'll never have the joy of eating sweet, delicious ice cream that wouldn't melt upon leaving the freezer." He told her softly as he approached the counter and cleared his throat. "I would like a waffle cone ice cream with Mint Chocolate-Chip, Cookies-n-Cream, Cotton-Candy, and Chocolate all stacked on-top please." He responded monotonously to the person at the cash register, who looked befuddled and astonished at the order for this one skinny man. He soon got to work on making the four scoop tall order with a waffle cone before handing it to Cecil as he turned to the group, just as Adam began to scream about an ice cream head-ache. Cecil paid him no mind, not even noticing a twinkle in his own eyes as he stared at his ice cream before he started to take some licks from it. His semblance did double to keep their ice cream from melting if they all got some, and what he got was as long as his fore-arm with the waffle-cone as his hand. "Mmmm.... just like at home." He said under his breath.

Remus stopped by the railing that kept people from falling down the sea wall. The wall wasn't all that high really so it was more a divider between the beach areas and the boardwalk area. Still it was an elevated spot along most of the boardwalk. Here and there entry ways slopped up to the board walk's level or the occasional stairs came up to the boardwalk. He looked out at the people on the beach. There were a lot of them and almost every last one was doing something unique. The commonality was they were all active or eating it seemed. He couldn't pick out anyone down there that looked like the were the person he was looking for. It was a shame the person that suggested who to look for wasn't better at giving descriptions of people. 'Help a transfer student out properly will you...'

He took a moment to look over everyone he could see out on the beach one more time. Checking each one at a time. Most he knew were not his quarry since the hair color was wrong. Unless they dyed it. Best to not consider that option. The guy that had gave him the description only gave three defining traits. Removing one from consideration would just make it harder. He could only see four possible hits out on the beach. Four girls with white hair. Three of them were all grouped together, two were faunus though. The student didn't say faunus was the third thing to look for. The third in the group was getting out some water gun firepower and seemed to energetic to fit the third trait. The last was preparing some surf boards. Surfing was also a miss for the third trait. He didn't image that someone with the trait in question would be surfing, or actually near the water for that matter.

So that left the board walk. The boardwalk was harder to search than the beach. It had more nooks and crannies outside the food vendors where people could eat or get out of the sun. Then there were the alley's between the buildings and what not. Last were the shops and restaurants themselves. Most you could go into which meant looking for someone up here required hitting the bricks, or the boards in this case. Remus made his way down the boardwalk bit by bit. Stopping in front of every building to check inside for someone to match the rather pathetic description he was given for the sake of finding this individual.

Finally he arrived out front of a cafe with a terrace for dinners. A nice shaded place with a handful of people there. It seemed there was a slight commotion going on. Or one had just wrapped up and was being smoothed over. There were 4 people gathered around one of the tables. Remus listened in on the immediate conversation. Seemed the two faunus were brother and sister. They looked similar enough that it was believable. Though the girl by the female faunus seemed to think they were related while the faunus girl seemed certain was stating she could prove it. The male faunus standing with them looked very confused and wasn't talking at the moment. That just left the fourth person there.

This person seemed to have started off on the far side of the table from the other three and had seemed to have recently back away from the table as she now stood with a little distance between herself and the others. Remus's eyes lingered on this girl. 'White hair.. check. Female.. check. Not a faunus.. check.' His gaze fell down her body to her hand. He couldn't see the one that was hovering near a water gun but the other was holding onto a book. 'And a bookworm.' He quickly lifted his gaze back up to her face. This should be her. He entered the terrace and zig-zagged through the tables there to approach her. He came from her side rather than from behind her. Placing her in front of him while the others present were just of to his left and still visible. "Sorry to interrupt, but are you Ella Fletcher?" He clearly asked a question but that voice sounded so confident.

Ella Fletcher
"Would you like to go for a swim?"

Ella was starting to become anxious, too many new faces had arrived for her to read and keep track of and the situation that they had caused only made this worse. The girl seemed to be confident that Henryk was her brother however he was not convinced. Ella cautiously watched around her, she had read this in a book before.

Ella began to get totally carried away with her thoughts, she now wondered if this was the performance that he was suggesting, and she was about to be attacked. She remained vigilant on the outside, and took another step back to assess the situation. Her eyes were on the water glass she had on the tabe, that he would use to protect herself if needed - Ella was away prepared, which is why this entire scenario made her nervous.

It was then that Ella was approached by a young man who had the appearance of something that Ella could only compare to a book she once read, however she would keep that to herself. She attempted to remain strong, but was beginning to get a headache, the situation was a bit too stressful for her. The man knew exactly who she was - a blessing?

"I am Ella, can I ask how you know who I am?" she asked the man. Her left hand resting on her water gun again, if he knew who she was, it could be for many reasons.

Lunia couldn't help but become nervous as Charlotte slowly began to go out of sight, she was probably Charlotte's closest human friend, even though she still couldn't get her to call her by her name in most cases. "I have a terrible feeling about that... " she said to Aaron as he helped to put sun lotion on her back.

Once he was done, she smiled and turned around. Lunia hadn't even realized that her face was pink from blushing just as his was. "Aaron, I think you need more on your cheeks! They are red! " she said, concern in her voice.

As Zylah returned with the surfboards, Lunia ran over to help her carry one - they were surprisingly heavy. She walked back to Aaron and noticed Zylahs little comment, especially the eyebrow movement that she couldn't have made more obvious if she tried. "Yep, we are done here... " she said, evidently nervous and red.

She looked between the three of them, hoping that someone would say something. Aaron as usual with his cheerful attitude saved the moment. "Yes! Let's head to the water! Teach me how to do this, and please make sure I don't drown!" she said, winking at Aaron and laughing.

Ridley had been content to walk forward and completely ignore the fact the Cecil had opened his mouth at all. Normally she would have been quite proud of herself, noticing the surprised looks on each of her their faces. Almost like someone had pulled pin on a grenade, expecting an explosion, only to find out it had been done. The fact that it was her flustered embarrassment that had fizzled out her temper, rather than her own self control, put a damper on her excitement and washed away any chance of self-satisfaction. Her march in the opposite direction, hoping to get the attention off of her, or at the very least get their eyes off of her flushed cheeks, didn't go quite as planned. This time it was Adam that spoke up. Cheeks still burning, his words only sparked that flame. She was more prepared this time, letting her dark strands fall over her shoulders to conceal her face from view. At this point, any trace of even the weakest of glares had been wiped away. Rather there was the barest of smiles tugging on her lips. She might not be ready nor willing to admit it out loud, but the idea of attending the ball pleased her to an extent that surprised even her. She wasn't sure if it was their long talks, the deep conversations, the shared secrets. Maybe just the simple fact that he was such a good friend... but she could say the same thing about Cecil or Azura. She'd shared just as many laughs with them. They had been here with her since the beginning them. She needed each of them for different reasons. Sure, she might be the leader but they each contributed a special piece to her life and to this team. Which made it very difficult to discern these feelings with Adam... Were they different? Or just new? It was all very confusing and did nothing to help the heat in her face.

Ridley walked on in silence, lost in thoughts that one could only guess at. With her hair covering her face as i was, it was hard to read those golden eyes. She could just as easily potting to roast Cecil for his forwardness as she could be thinking over what she might wear to something as extravagant as a ball. It took her a moment to compose herself enough to speak, but when she had, the feisty leader of theirs was nearly back to herself. Other than the slight pink color remaining in her cheeks, there wasn't the slightest trace of the completely flustered huntress they'd seen moments before. "Right, silly me! I'd nearly forgotten." She responded to Adam at his jest about her comment back in the mine. "Must have hit my head harder than I thought." She teased further, reaching up to brush her fingers across the pale white line that now adorned her face, remnants of the blade that had slashed through her months ago. "What grander a second date than a ball? I'd love to go with you." She told him, flashing a playful grin in his direction. It was at that point that he had so gracefully spun Azura around thrice, just like a ballerina, placing her next to Cecil. She couldn't help the laugh that left her lips as the conversation was steered away from her. To say she was thankful for this change might have been an understatement, a major one. "Look at you two. So cute. I think you'll make a dashing couple." She told him, smirking at the two of them. The tone in her voice suggested that she might just have stuck her tongue out them if she had even a smidgen less self-control. Still, part of her couldn't help but feel a little bad for Azura, the timid girl had gone from being drug across the beach to twirled around like a doll.

The rest of the trip went on in relative silence. They were soon enveloped by the frigid air of the ice cream parlor, their ice cream ordered, money forgotten only for their new teacher to step in. There was the slightest chance that her comment had been inappropriate... but she had only been teasing. The playful smirk on her face vanished immediately as she was hit square in the forward with a nice, sharp flick of his fingers. It didn't hurt, not really, but it was enough to strike her temper. Once again her face filled with color, burning even hotter in the chilly air of the shop. This time the color was definitely brought on by anger. Her amber eyes were the equivalent of looking into liquid fire as she glared at the man. Her arched brows knitted together dangerously. This was a look much more suited to Ridley. Intimidating and and fiery. Dangerous and alluring. She didn't even seem deterred by the near foot height difference. He had turned and walked away before Ridley could so much as utter a word to him, but that didn't stop the vulgar name to slip through her grit teeth all the same. "Slimy, little b*****d." The insult was whispered, but none the less threatening. His one act of kindness had been wiped away in a single gesture. Maybe she was overreacting, but god help the soul who tried to tell her that. Her pride already burnt, the flick had just added to the injury. Not to mention she hated being treated like a child. Feeling less than dignified, it was possible she was being just a tad less than rational. If nothing else, she was able to recognize that, and gave herself a few moments to cool down before returning to her team.

Adam's scream was what drew her attention, her first instinct was that she needed to defend him and her team. Almost without thinking, her hand flew to her hip where her blade would be sheathed were she not wearing a swimsuit. With a glance of her golden gaze, it only took her a moment to realize there wasn't any real threat. Just that of consuming an icy treat much to quickly. Picking up her own cup of ice cream from the counter, she walked over to the rest of her team with a smirk on her face. "Sorry Adam... I should have warned you." She told him, biting down on her lip to keep the laughter back. Her apology was sincere and she really did feel bad... but the situation was just slightly amusing. It was just the thing she needed to pull her back from the fiery rage building within her. "I was too busy dealing with professor asshat over there." Jerking her head in the direction she'd gone, she let out a soft snicker at her own comment. "Try rubbing your temples... that helps sometimes." It was then that she noticed Cecil's own ice cream and more specifically the plethora of scoops filling the one tiny cone. Ridley nearly bust a gut when she saw it, knowing that it was Kazuki that had gotten stuck paying for it and not herself. "Serves him right." She stated through her fit of laughter. "This is why I need you Cecil." She said, wiping imaginary tears from her eyes. Azura was much to kind and rational, Adam was very easily the nicest person she'd ever met. She needed someone to be bitter with sometimes or she might go insane. That, or blow up like the fiery inferno she was. "But, can't you use your semblance to keep your ice cream from melting? I think pure Azura might literally freeze if wee don't leave soon." The girl was nearly shivering at this point. It was rather cold and Ridley's damp hair didn't help her own situation. There were goosebumps covering her own pale skin, but the heat in her face had distracted her from the cold.

                                                  ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

It seemed Charlotte had returned from her little excursion just before Zylah had retrieved the surfboards, however, their little faunus friend was not alone. Quite the opposite actually. In fact, Zylah was almost certain she hadn't seen the girl this close to anyone one in the entire two months she'd known her. It didn't sound like a lot of time, but when you slept in the same dorm and spent nearly every moment together, awake and asleep, it was hard to hide things from one another. Zylah would know, she had her own secrets to worry about hiding. The white-haired girl looked shocked for a moment, unable to do anything but stare at the faunus and her newly chosen companion. However, it wasn't long before the shock left her face and was replaced with a wide grin. "Hey, Char! Who's you're new friend? You two look quite cozy together." In all honesty, she might have noticed just how white the man's face was, or the fear seeping through his expression, were it not for the shock of seeing Charlotte hanging on him like she was.

A comment from their blue-haired comment caught her attention before she could investigate the situation any further. Noting the pink color of her cheeks, she decided not to press the topic further... for now. It was much to fun to consider letting the two off the hook that easily. When Luina suggested hey head to the water, the grin on her face grew and she nodded, pale locks flailing about her face. "Onward!" She called, tucking her own surfboard under her arm before making a mad dash towards the waves. In all her excitement, she accidentally activated her semblance, causing the weight of the surfboard to feel significantly less and her feet to beat across the sand much more quickly than any average human. By the time she had reached the icy glistening water, her team was still several yards behind her. As she neared the bubbling waves licking up onto the golden sand, her speed came to a halt all at once. She skidded to a halt, nearly dropping the beard in the suddenness of her stop. Cerulean eyes were wide as she stared upon the ocean, a thought she'd never thought about before smacking her hard across the face and leaving her in a stunned stand still. The devastating reality of it all, was that Zylah didn't know how to swim. She'd never had the opportunity... she'd never needed to. She hadn't even thought about it until now, staring at the vast waters looming before her. She had been so caught up in the fun and excitement of being at the beach for the first time, it had somehow slipped her mind. How? Well, as her playful and carefree often protected her from the devastation of her reality, it had stepped in once more. However, this time it might not have been saving her at all.

Zylah could hear the footsteps approaching her from behind and the closer they grew, the more the panic bubbled inside of her, until she was ready to blow. It was a feeling she was not comfortable with. A feeling she had spent years forcing away, shoving in a tiny little crawlspace at the pack of her mind to pretend it didn't exist. It presence surfaced several other unwelcome emotions. She was trembling, her breaths coming short and raspy. The more she became unwound, the more she felt the panic consuming her. She couldn't let her team see her like this. She couldn't admit that she couldn't swim. Both wouldn't be an admittance of weakness. She refused to look meek. She refused to look cowardly. Besides, it would stir up too many questions. Questions she could not possibly begin to answer. Yet, she couldn't possibly go out there. She hadn't the slightest clue how to surf. Even the smallest of waves would knock her over and she would be left to the cruel and unfortunate fate of her entire body being derived of oxygen. A shudder ran through her body at the though, but was it really just the thought? Or a horrible, awful, suppressed memory? The tiny girl was at her breaking point, and just a few more steps before her team would be there to witness it.

Sucking in a lungful of air, she forced a deep breath through her body. She clenched her hands into tiny little balls at her side to keep them from shaking. Cut it out. Don't be a baby. She thought to herself. How hard could it really be? She wondered, glancing out at all the other students who seemed to be so effortlessly kicking and splashing. All she really had to do was keep a hold of the board. As long as she had a hold of it, she couldn't possibly. Nodding to herself and pushing away any other possible thought process, locking up the storm of emotions that had almost consumed her, when she looked back at her team there was hardly a sign that she was feeling anything but excite, but she could still feel the anxiety squeezing her chest. "What took you so long. Slow pokes!" She teased, a playfully taunting tone in her voice. However, she was desperate to put some distance between them, not trusting her emotions to not give her away. With that she started wading out into the water, a slight chill running op her spin as the icy water flowed over her toes. It didn't take her long to reach waist deep waters, granted, she was a fairly small individual. Laying the surfboard out in front of her, she climbed her way a top of it, so that she was straddling it, bouncing softly on the waves. Leaning forward she paddled forward several feet, and just as suddenly as the fear had gripped her, it floated away. It was beautiful, incredible, and the thrill-seeker that she was, she couldn't help put push far beyond her limits.

Seemingly without thinking, without waiting for instruction from Aaron, Zylah began pushing herself to her feet. She was a graceful creature and was able to get to her feet without too much trouble. She even managed to balance there for just a moment. The grin on her lips grew and she was a bout to turn to Aaron, tell him he might have some competition soon, when a massive wave came crashing into her. Even if she had been paying attention she wouldn't have had the skill to maneuver it, but in her absent mindedness, the board was sweat from under herself and she felt herself falling backwards. She couldn't even muster so much as a shriek before her tiny body, twisting in an unnatural way, came crashing into the water. She sunk despite her efforts. Kicking and flailing her arms and legs, the effort just wasn't enough to get her head above the waves. Her lungs were already burning. She'd been too slow in taking a last breath and had ended up swallowing a gulp of salty water instead.

                                                  ► Sing Me To Sleep

XXXMoments of isolation continued to pass; Maria achieving perfect zen as she continued to drift, as if entering a state of meditation. With eyes lazily drifting shut; the shore side relaxation the ultimate white noise. In her life, nothing could put her more at ease than simply fathoming nature as it operated around her. In her ease; it felt as if her soul was slipping into absolute clarity, and that clarity appeared to actually lift her from her body. A most notable sign that her presence was leaving her body was her shifting fingers began to calm; until they stirred not. From her now slumbering body; a shimmer of iridescence in the sunlight would sparkle in a beautiful phenomenon. In passing seconds, the beautiful spectacle that was quite literally her soul leaving her body, would rise multiple inches; with a final push from her own hands to float away from her body; her prison. This occurrence surely was the only thing that gave her hope; the only thing that kept her going day by day, and not ending it all. For this moment; the world was truly her oyster, as she was able to freely exist in a realm that was her own. Lifting off from her self; she'd do so with a joyful twirl, her faintest smile turning into a wide grin of delight. This was when she truly felt alive.

Prism however seemed distracted for just a moment. A message was received by it's programmed scroll; one from Beacon specifically, inclining about Maria and it's own team placement. In this message was news that not even the AI of Prism could've expected, and should be shared immediately. "What an interesting turn of events. Maria, I have news to share with you; I have just received a message about your team listing and --- Maria?" The robotic companion paused; looking down at it's master, noticing the slumbering eyes and soft breaths. Had she fallen asleep, potentially? Her aura levels didn't feel quite right, could that have meant.. Of course. It's vision adjusting upwards; it too would see Maria's iridescent form drifting away towards the waves, and if this robot could sigh, it certainly would. "Maria; I've told you time and time again to be more clear when you plan to explore. I would rather not lose you." Clearly, this robot was disappointed in Maria's actions. At the same time, it was also content that it caught a glimpse of Maria's wonderful smile; the smile she only wore when she could move so freely, not restrained by the cage that was her body. "Copy; locating Iridescence." With that, the robot would raise Maria's chair before setting it into drive once more. If it didn't hurry, it might lose sight of Maria, and locating her afterwards would be much more difficult.

The free floating soul however; didn't have a single worry in her little world. Seeming to defy reality itself as she drifted over the waves; she'd dip down ever few moments, as if she was some sort of majestic creature gliding along the ocean waves. However; her presence wouldn't truly leave any impact, for at the moment, she herself didn't really exist. Maria was just a spirit; an arrangement of beautiful colors that could freely operate in a world where she could not normally. And even if she couldn't actually splash the waves like this; that never dulled a moment of this stunning display. While Maria did wish she could touch the water like everyone else; that wouldn't stop her from getting a closer look. Dipping again; she'd hold herself beneath the waves to get a clear few of the shifting sand beneath the waves. Shells being stirred, crabs scuttling the shallows, and fish going about their business; not at all bothered of this arrangement of lights drifting by. Maybe she couldn't enjoy the water like everyone else, but no one else could witness the world in the way that she could. Perhaps that's why this happened; to give her a new view. Another moment would pass before she rose from the see, staring out towards the beach to see a group of students running towards the shoreline with surf boards in hand. One however seemed to stop at the edge of the water, staring out with a thousand yard star. Perhaps something was keeping her, as something always kept Maria. How wrong she seemed to be. Just like that, the woman called out to those she was leading, and began her transit through the calm waves. How exhilarating! She'd have the chance to watch them surf first hand; right along their side. Maybe she could even join in on the fun.. That's what brought her beneath the waves again; she didn't want to be seen quite yet. For students entering the water; if they looked closely beneath the waves, they could see a transparent shape of shimming colors that closely resembled a woman. That however, was only for the observant, and not the distracted as the woman that had just entered the water was.

Maria continued to glide beneath the waves; watching as however entered the water went about their business and paddled forward. The one that stopped at the shoreline, in particular, seemed to be eager and pressed farther out to sea. While the girl was eager to glide by the surfers side; she only paid a bit of mind as she continued to circle, as there were others to come. At this time; the woman had pushed herself up on the board, shaken for a moment, but standing tall and proud as she conquered the balance of the board. Meanwhile, Maria popped her head from the water's surface once again, and the following events seemed to unravel in slow motion. As quickly as the girl seemingly mastered rising on the board; the ocean seemed to begin to peel back, pulling away from the shoreline much more than it had prior. Looking upon the forming wave; Maria personally found herself excited to witness such a cascade rise. That however quickly melted away when she noticed the girl begin to wobble as the water began to push forward again; and before Maria could call out to brace herself, that wave rose above them both before breaking and crashing down upon the two. Maria herself, was unaffected in her spectral form.

The other girl however was savagely pounded beneath the surface of the water; and Maria's eyes widened in horror. "Oh no, hold on!" Surely her voice would be distorted to an extent, being as a spectral being; but her body would act. Forcing herself to 'fly' as fast as her spectral self could go; her soul would emerge into the board. That's when the visuals got interesting. Anyone watching would see this board; first rising without it's rider, suddenly dip back beneath the waves sharply. The board now hastily pushed itself through the water; struggling with the course of the current, but managing to reach the girl and scoop itself under the rider. "Don't worry; just hold!" A distant voice resonated. The girl would feel the board press against her firmly, as if someone else was forcing it against her, and that same force would dip back up to pull her rag-dolling body back up to break the water surface. Breaking surface tension, the board seemed to rocket upwards; tip pointed high before sticking the landing. As soon as they broke surface tension, the surfboard would achieve incredible steadiness on the shifting waves; Maria struggling valiantly to keep the two of them steady so that her rider could catch her breath. "Are you okay? Deep breaths; don't drink the water. Just hold." Following her previous instruction; a weakened force would apply itself to the board, giving it just enough momentum to start guiding itself. Maria certainly wasn't going to give control to someone who might've been panicked until she was certain she was okay. Thus, the board would begin to loop, going further out before adjusting course to bring her back towards the beach. "Should we return to shore?" Even without an answer, the echoed voice had begun directing them back to the shoreline. Maria was determined to get her back; unless she could truly prove that she could manage herself on the sea. .. Though Maria wasn't opposed to getting a first hand surfing experience However, a voice was resonating from no where and she was just saved by a surf board; she might think she's going crazy. Maria didn't quite think that aspect through.

Meanwhile, Prism would finally make the scene at the shoreline. The robot had to be careful with Maria's body; but would arrive to the surfing departure in a surprisingly timely manner. It may have even beat the other surfers in arrival to the water; simply standing in the path with a wheelchair and slumbering girl in hand. Prism would look out to sea, watching a surfboard with a mind of its own take the steed to save a wipeout. "Well now, would you look at that. Maria is engaging." The companion was amused; seeing Maria jump so suddenly into the fray. Perhaps it didn't have to worry about her social development after all.

While Henryk had been unable to hear more than the first letter of his new companions name due to this newcomers sudden appearance, he did notice her shoot up to her feet and back away a little. Though he had no idea what was going on he felt bad he was the source of this as things had been going well up to this point. 'This is going to be memorable.' He thought to himself, both her E and himself. He also happened to notice, because her hand movement caught his attention, what appeared to be a water gun on her side. Which only left him more confused as he was now thinking she had planned to spray him or someone else with it at some point. While he was left in a state of perpetual confusion at this point, believing it was a matter of mistaken identity, it seemed E recovered before him and even seemed to be friendly with this new girl. Though his mind was having a hard time dealing with everything at once, it did just realize being called brother and hugged was probably not going to lead to a hostile encounter. 'Hopefully.' He thought to himself.

Henryk hadn't even noticed the presence of another person until he saw a hand appear on Ora, following up the arm to its source. There was a brown haired girl behind her in a bikini, about average height from what he guessed. Any other detail was mostly obscured with the strangeness of the situation. As she spoke, reaffirming what he believed in his own mind, he would nod slowly with his face still showing some shock at this whole situation. 'Finally someone who is not just going with this.' He thought to himself. She also seemed to know who this was, calling her Ora, so he hoped she would be able to pry her friend off of him. It wasn't that he didn't like hugs but...not when its someone who was claiming to be related to you out of nowhere at least. Or if it were a Grimm for that matter. She would then introduce herself as Lena, and officially introduce Ora now. Eyes darting between the two of them, and E occasionally, his eyes had the look of confusion and asked for help. Well, as much as an eye could at the least. He noticed Lena try to get Ora off of him but ultimately it did not work as she was left on him. His hopes of freedom dashed as soon as he had them. Even though she couldn't get Ora off, she offered that they were snorkeling before this happened and that it may have been too much. 'Hopefully its just because it was a bad experience for her...as I doubt she was my sister...' He thought to himself but he was having doubts now from how sincere she seemed to be that they were related.

At that moment Ora leaned forward towards his ear and began whispering. Henryk couldn't help but shiver from her being so close to his ear, not letting him see what else she could be doing and for fear of what could happen as well as the feeling of it. She further introduced herself as Ora Demonhorn, demon child of the slavers. Several things instantly clicked in his mind all at once. The first being that they weren't related, which was a partial relief, as his sister had gone by a different name as did his family. However the last name was similar to one that he had known of, but then many names were similar or at times exactly the same. However her next statement was bittersweet to a degree. His last memory of his family was them being captured by slavers and him being the only one who could escape. He had always wondered what happened to them but had done his best to keep it out of his mind. He didn't really want to think about what may have happened. 'Though if she escaped...maybe they did as well.' He thought to himself. How she got her own nickname from them he was unsure, as it could seem as if she was a demon to them or for them. However, with her shaking suddenly, he could guess that her time with them was not voluntary. So she may have been a victim like his own family. He almost felt like hugging her but refrained a little, and before he could think more if he should, she backed away. She would mention something about proving it, which Henryk found not to be necessary at all as he believed her. He, however, thought it was to prove she was a slave rather than her identity. Especially with her shaking, he would quickly speak in a tone that was extremely sincere. "There is no need to prove anything, I believe you. I am sincerely sorry you went through such a thing." With some space now between them, he would rise from his seat. The atmosphere was far too serious for him and hit a little too close to home, so he did what he did best. Be a performer and distract the audiences attention. He would give a bow, more energetic than formal, before he would speak in a slightly dramatic voice. "A pleasure to meet you Lena and Ora. While I am afraid you have me confused with someone else, there is no need for us to part as strangers. I am Henryk Adamiak the Magnificent! Performer extraordinaire." He would do his embellished entrance as such, trying to make it as grand as he could to dispel the somber air currently around them. Usually he never included his last name, but he felt it would help dispel the confusion the other girl may have had in thinking they were related.

Switching from his more dramatic tone to his usual one, a causal smile on his face now, he would speak again. "Now that we are introduced and that is cleared up, is there anything I could do for you two?" He asked, being fairly friendly. He was not going to turn them away despite the surreal nature of how they all met. It wasn't in his nature to be isolated most of the time. As he awaited their responses, he noticed suddenly the appearance of another person to the ever growing number of people here. He was a tall man by all regards, being a fair bit taller than Henryk himself, and seemed to have a blend of white and silver hair similar to that of Ora and Henryk. There was also a glint of gold at his neck that seemed to be a golden choker, as Henryk thought of his own black one. Due to his angle as he was situated directly in front of E he could not see much else about him. He seemed to know her however as he asked her if she was Ella Fletcher in a very confident voice as if he knew the answer already. Henryk was truly curious how he knew about her and what that meeting would turn to as he had to ask. "So he knows her by name or reputation rather than personal experience?" Henryk pondered to himself, knowing thats how performers were typically known. It made him wonder what about the previously unassuming girl he did not know. "Perhaps she is famous?" He thought to himself with a smile, thinking it would be cool to know someone who was famous outside of his troupe. Her response did confirm it was her name and that he only knew her by some outside source. So, despite her introduction form before being interrupted, he had found out her name at least. Which, oddly enough, hers fit her while he felt his didn't go the best together. He didn't seem like a hostile person but Henryk would keep an eye on him regardless. He wished he had brought his cane in case this turned violent, as a reputation could both be a curse and a blessing in terms of who it attracts, but he could make do if he needed to. Still, throughout all this he kept a happy smile as if nothing were wrong. He hoped nothing was wrong at least. To the man himself he would offer a friendly smile should he ever choose to look in his direction.

When Eira questioned her cheek, she gave a nervous smile, and put her hands up in defense, but mainly trying to get her to not worry,” It’s okay… I’m okay.” She reassured, patting her cheek with the icepack. Suddenly Arthas offered his help, and she would have refused if it wasn’t for what he said prior to that. Now, it would have been rude to deny him of the one thing he wished to do, and she she blushed,” Oh… Thank you Arthas.” And slowly ate the ice cream that he refused.

Hizami finished with her tails, the sand was only on the surface, and her hands worked fast. Eira joked about having the butler clean their room, and she raised an eyebrow at the girl, but knew she was poking at a joke. Hizami chuckled to herself, having eaten half go her cone by this time. She inhaled food. Too quickly for people to understand that she was healthy, and yes, she did chew. The team leader stuck her hand in the cooler, and took out a string of cheese for Momo to nibble on after she finished her ice cream. Hizami would pull some sand off the little girl’s hair, wiping up the side of her mouth where her ice cream had splattered. All in all, she knew that her instincts kicked in, not of a faunas, but as a protective team leader. She loved her team, and would do anything to keep them safe. Arthas would notice the white sun mark that spiraled on her neck, with the two red puncture holes still fresh, but not bleeding. The mark seemed to move, as if it wasn’t a tattoo or a simple marking, but a curse set upon to her by someone else.

Eira expressed her want for more fun, and Hizami’s ears perked up at the thought. She knew exactly what that girl meant, and even though it may have been beneficial for her to have her arsenal on hand, the fox had her own. Reaching into her tote bag, she took out a cylinder as big as a bottle, and pressed a button,” Eira…you know better than to challenge me.” She grinned. Hizami’s hand laid over Arthas’s and she nodded, thanking him for helping her, but even with a still pink cheek, she offered him one of her own cylinders. By this time, the object had turned from a mere dull solid, to its own lightweight, rapid fire water gun. The air rifle had a air chamber that was highly pressurized, and an add on that carried water. It would let water pour into the action, and close it off once it had triggered a sensor. Hizami stood up, and in one motion, pointed her rifle at Eira, and fired. It wouldn’t hurt, it would feel like a normal water gun,” I told you I’d make my own prototype, Eira… You didn’t believe me!”

                                                                        Out. Of. Cookies.

Hearing the girl's voice confirm her identity Remus gave a winning grin as his head bobbed once in a self assured nod. The nod mostly being an acknowledgement to the correctness of that confidence he had displayed before. "Excellent then I have found you. As for how I know you, I had help." Ella's reputation did proceed her, but Henryk would be disappointed as it had nothing to do with her being famous or anything. The knowledge of who she was was second hand knowledge, but it was all first hand deduction that correctly connected knowledge to the correct individual.Either way from what Remus had heard what identified her was probably far removed from fame. He continued his explanation after a glance at the other three who seemed to be wrapping up whatever they had been discussing as well.

"I'm Remus Reinhart by the way, a transfer student from Atlas. Being a transfer student I only recently arrived and don't know many people or have all that much on hand really. Wasn't supposed to be here long, but with the situation change over in Atlas.. Well you know. Despite not being prepared for this." As he said 'this' he emphasized the word and made a sweeping gesture towards the whole beach area in general. "I decided I might as well make the most of it. Though the project I have in mind exceeds what can be managed on my lonesome. So I asked around of some of the other students. They told me to to keep an eye out for a silvery-white haired young lady with bookworm tendencies. No one really seemed to know anything more than her name is supposedly Ella Fletcher and that rather simplistic description."

Around about then he added under his breath, "Honestly not what one would consider a helpful description. I'm a little surprised it actually served..." His voice then returned to its normal volume. "They might not of really known you but they knew of you well enough I suppose. They figured that since you seem to read just about anything and everything you can get your hands on that at some point it might of included a book or two on architecture. So here I am, and here you are. So... If you weren't already planning to do something I had hoped I could talk you into assisting in the sculpting of the most amazing and realist sand castle the beach has ever seen?" With his proposition finally out there Remus considered what all he had said. In hind sight he figured it might of been a tad long winded, but that might be an unfortunate side effect of the search itself. Either way he glanced once more over to the others an really hoped he hadn't actually interrupted anything. Ella didn't say he had when she first responded. Though that still might not mean he wasn't trying to steal her away from her friends. All he could really do is look back to the girl in question and wait to see what she had to say.

Hearing her say the feeling was mutual, a formality typically though he felt it may be genuine with her, he would feel she was worthy of his own. Bowing to others, as he was told, was not to be done lightly. It was a sign of respect for another, and so if it was done to someone unworthy, it would reflect poorly on him. Or some other nonsense like that he was certain. He may have had a good grasp for all the formalities when young, and while still holding them to a degree, some of them seemed a bit too pompous for even himself. Still, he was glad to hear her return it in kind...but got a bewildered look on his face with an unsure smile as she commented on his posture. 'Strange thing to say aloud unless I was particularly good...Or everyone she interacted with was particularly horrid at it?' He thought to himself confused as to the comment. His unsure smile turned to a smile holding back a little laughter at the sound and idea of being rated on his posture currently. He wouldn't question her on it but would rather leave that in the air, finding it something humorous to think on. She would then, after his deliberation, agree to help him even being thankful for doing so. 'The gesture for a small recompense may have been needed then.' He thought to himself, figuring he made the right choice in that. Or wrong one, as he realized that would have been an easy way to end the interaction. He was having trouble, for once, in keeping people at bay. He blamed the atmosphere of the beach, though in truth it was more due to Dove herself. For some reason she seemed to resonate, which made him try harder to think of why her name seemed familiar but for now it was to no avail. He couldn't see what she was doing as he went about his own area of fixing his spot, but he noticed the sudden in crease in light as she presumably began to fix the umbrella. He hadn't considered that area needed cleaning but he wouldn't question her. He then heard her messing with the towel, probably getting rid of the sand on it.

This went on till he challenged her, at which point she seemed to brush something off in the sand though he knew not what having not focused on it. As she spoke in answer to his challenge, mentioning she was uncertain how her spear skills will match up, his face had a momentary shocked expression as she called him a descendant of the Reveley. 'So she is aware of who I am... I seem to be at a disadvantage.' He thought to himself as an arrogant smile graced his lips. Both to him being recognized for who he was and at the challenge of an opponent who knew much about him when he knew little of her. What was most interesting though was that shortly after she spoke was that azure flames appeared on her hands, creating a spear made of the burning flames that seemed similar to Heir. His eyes widened in surprise as his arrogant smile grew to temporarily show his teeth. 'Dove has more surprises than I thought.' He thought to himself, his eagerness for their duel growing. It would be interesting to see what she could do with her semblance. The main question burning in his mind though was how it would compare to the real thing when put to the test. He was confident he could defeat the imitation, but he wondered how long it could hold against him. She went on to say how she knew of his family by her mother who talked highly of them, making him feel a swell of pride, mentioning a distant relative wanting to battle them but not knowing what the results of such a thing was. 'Now why does his name sound familiar...' Garret thought, pondering to himself. The entire family had an air of familiarity to them but he couldn't remember many specifics. His family had many challenges, but he was too young to remember the name of all of them. If it existed in any record, it would be in his old home which he couldn't currently reach. "My family had many challengers, and regretfully I am unaware if he had been one of them." Garret would say, unfortunately unaware if such a confrontation happened. He would pause before speaking again. "Know your enemy; your mother was wise to teach you such things." He purposely did not mention his lack of information on her family, not wanting the line of questioning to go back to what happened to his own. And, in his mind, knowing the enemy was an integral part to defeating them. It was distinct advantage to have over your opponents when you have an idea of their capabilities. He did not know if she knew of it already but he preferred to keep that quiet for now. He didn't want her holding back just because he was the last of his line.

He then saw her spin her blue flamed spear before it dissolved into the embers. But rather than dissipate entirely as he had expected, they seemed to go to her pocket before escaping his line of sight. 'I wonder what that means.' He thought to himself, thinking perhaps there was some special significance to that. Hearing her speak snapped him out of his thoughts as she accepted his duel, saying she would be honored for whenever. Garrets arrogant smile grew as he thought of the fight, believing her to perhaps be a challenge but ultimately succeeding in the end. Then again, she had plenty of surprises, so she may have more up her sleeve. "May honor be granted to both of us." Garret would say in his typical confident tone, believing he would win but that honor was rewarded equally in a duel such as he thought theirs would be. Thinking both of now and of the duel his ancestors may or may not have had in the past, he could feel their reputation and prowess as he said the words. He would live up to his name. From the serious formality of the duel and nature of it, Garret was surprised to hear... 'Sarcasm? Or a challenge?' He wasn't quite sure how to think or it or describe it. But he couldn't disagree a girl with wings like her would stand out significantly in the crowd. Still, he would smirk and respond in kind. "It'd be very hard not to notice one such as yourself. A Dove does stand out." His nickname for her was used, but not in the manner to directly show it. He was curious how she would react to being compared to a dove before he would let her know his nickname for her. Feeling particularly pumped up from the nature of such a duel, his arrogance fulling showing in his posture and face, he would speak yet again. "Until that day comes, flourish and spread your wings. I'd hate to stop you before your first flight." He would say, his words not malicious but perhaps overconfident, before continuing. "I may even appear from time to time before then." He was interested in seeing all she could do, and wanted her to grow in power. She had said she would be at the academy so he assumed she was a student. So he would wait for her to learn a bit more before the duel would transpire. Looking back down to his small beach site, he would resume his seat onto his towel and un-bury his water bottle for a quick drink before looking up to her. "You are free to stay with me or go to enjoy the rest of the beach if you desire. I shall only be here for a short while before I depart for a volleyball game." After a few moments of deliberation, he would speak again. "If you so desired, you could join me. I am not opposed to having you in my company during such a thing." He would simply offer. She had shown him a bit of her power so it would only be fair she saw a bit of his. If she said yes, then after a short break he would lead her to the volleyball court.

"Why hello, I'll be with you in a Moment"
"I will Fight to Serve her and her Ideals"

    ✠----------------------------✠

Arthas gently released the ice pack from the Kitsunes face. Her face seemed to be red in color which he could only attribute to the icepack being pressed against it. Slowly rose with a fluid grace at Hizami's teammate introducing herself to him. She was quite kind with a bubbly attitude that seemed to fit her perfectly. Taking he left foot and slowly bringing it back about half a foot Arthas brought his right hand to his chest and gave a courteous noble bow to her. "Miss Winters it is an honor to meet your acquaintance." He rose from the bow with the curtesy that warranted such action. He took the ice pack he was holding and walked back over to the cooler where he placed it back into the cooler. Everything he did was fluid and executed with a practiced grace befitting his title. He went to rejoin miss Hizami where took up the same position befitting a butler waiting to serve. He stood tall, his hands behind his back and the simple smile resting on his face.

While Winters pulled lunch out for every one in her team she offered him something. "I am quite alright my dear, do not worry about me" he said his voice kind as she returned with a question of her own. She asked about where he learned butlery and if there was a school. bringing his hand delicately to his mouth to hide a chuckle at the notion. "Your interest in my butlery is quite kind, Though to answer your question I was taught by my adoptive father and Mentor while I served at the manor" He didn't show any form of emotion even the smile disappearing from his face at his mention as well as the manor. Her next question brought his smile back as it was more of a teasing question which he was happy to entertain. "If you promise you can keep your dirty cloths out of my sight, your room can fall under my hand." he said with a chuckle which he blocked with his right hand. It seemed when ever he talked or moved his hands where behind his back or being used in a way to emphasis his wording. He watched as for a second Miss winters went to her bag and began to rummage around in it. He took his attention and scanned the area about them.

Off in the distance he noticed the shore line. There was an individual pushing another person in a wheelchair. 'Good to see even they can get out and experience the sun shine' he thought as he heard a loud challenge issued from Miss winters. She held onto several water guns. Immediately he took in the information of a threat and in accordance reacted. His semblance activated with a gleam of purple crossing his eyes. Suddenly Winters, Momo, and Hizami would find themselves lighter on their feet and much easier to move around. Like gravity had lessened in there immediate vicinity. Arthas hand shot out grabbing hold of the beach umbrella shielding them from the sun and holding it out blocking Miss winters water gun shots directed at himself, momo and Hizami. When they subsided he brought the umbrella back around and stabbed it back into the ground. He took a second to adjust his shirts white cuffs before looking at the Girls. Miss Hizami had already produced a weapon from a canister and was offering one to him as well. He saw the look in miss winters eyes expecting him to join them. "Why not?" he said as he took the canister Hizami had offered him.

Eira had listened intently to what Arthas had to say about how he learned to do what he did. Of course given the response to her joking proposition she just had to give Hizami a look. Her mischievous grin highlighted how it was still very much a joke but those excited eyes were clearly pleading just a little with the decision maker. They were screaming they should take him up on that offer as much as eyes could scream. After all how many other male students around here could they possibly find that would first not only have cleaning skills but be all for using them for them, and second--and probably much more important--trustworthy enough to be counted on to not go snooping through their drawers in their all female team' dorm room?

After her challenge had been made Eira lifted her arsenal skyward. Resting the rifle water gun, which looked more similar to a shotgun than an actual rifle, against her shoulder. Her lips pursed her lip slightly as she let out an impressed whistle. She could feel that lightning quick light footed feel of course. It was causing her to bounce up and down on the balls of her feet. Which of course made other things bounce as well. Her whistle though had been more for Arthas's lightning fast reflexes in grabbing Hizami's lance turned umbrella and using it as a shield against the barrage of water shots from the pistol she had out. She chuckled happily and got into a ready stance as the umbrella was returned to the sand and he declared his intention to join in on the fun with them. Hizami was already arming him and herself. Boasting about the new toy she had made up for this. Eira didn't doubt for a second that she would make it. But what would the point of her making it be if she didn't get to take it out?

"Bring it on, Yuu" While Eira fired back a response to Hizami saying she knew better than to challenge her Eira shoved the pistol in her right hand into the right side of her bikini bottom as she made a sharp movement with her left hand. The movement operated the pump action on her water shotgun via the forces of momentum. And the next moment she had it held in two hands across her chest, ready to rock and roll. When Hizami opened fire with her rapid fire water gun Eira turned the bouncing on the balls of her feet movement into evasive action. Leaping back and to the left, then right, then left and left again to avoid the stream of water as it chased her about. At that point her left hand left the pump of her weapon and was thrust palm down into the sand ans she dropped to one knee. A blast of her semblance tore into the sand on the beach. It was toned way down just for play of course which meant it didn't pack much more punch than that firework Momo had tried to fry that thieving sea gull with. It was still enough to blast a crater into the sand though and send sand erupting into the air in front of her.

Hizami's water barrage ran head long into the sand geyser and was stopped dead in its tracks by all the tumbling particles. Eira laughed out loud at how fun this was. She couldn't make it easy for Hizami to claim her spot on the top of the pack after all. She used the erupting sand as cover as she aimed her water gun around it like one would if they were using a tree trunk for cover. A few seconds later she had pumped the weapon twice more to bring up her fired shots to three. The first aimed at Hizami's right shoulder, the second at her face to throw off her aim, and the third at the left side of her chest where her heart would be. Each shot created a puff of white smoke at the end of the water gun's barrel as the compressed air fired off a blob of water the size of a small water balloon. Getting hit by them was less like the hosing down or small squirts a normal water gun made and more like having a small glass of water thrown on you. Since the sand was now almost fully settled Eira had to move again so while she made a fourth shot it wasn't aimed at all really, just pointed in the general direction of the right side Hizami's waist, hip, or thigh.

Tessa listened to Narx and Danae as she cooked, piling plates high with meat and mushroom caps before finally closing the lid to let the meat smoke properly. With a sigh she got down on one knee and placed a hand on each of her fellow faunus' shoulders and looked them in the eye.
"You two, I love you both dearly. We've fought together, slept together and shed blood and tears together. This isn't just a team to me, this is part of my family"
To emphasize her point Tessa brought their heads to her chest in a loving hug before pulling them away and glaring at them while simultaneously looking like she was on the verge of tears.
"So I need you to take this to heart, don't you ever hide something like this from us again. If you have a health concern you tell us, if you have an enemy you come find me, if you have a skanky fox rubbing up against you and brainwashing you through some shared blood, then I will make myself a nice winter coat out of her pelt. Don't ever hide something so important, I don't know what I'd do if I lost any of you."
With a sad smile the rhino faunus leaned in and nuzzled her cheeks against her teammates, even bringing Richard in to share the love.

"I'll show you what a real Faunus can do..."...
