Aurelia would still remain in Sandayu's grasp, undeterred from her unconscious state as her father would phase through them. The silver head of hair that Belamos had grown so familiar with would sit limp as her captor would appear to toy with Kya and him, weaving through attacks as if he were as buttered as the buns her mother used to make. Yum. The orb containing her would rise in the sky as Aurelia would slowly hover in the air. Her fingers would rest in her hair as she continued to dream.
"Do you remember what your father and I taught you, Aurelia?" Tsukina asked her daughter while in her embrace. The child would think for a bit before responding. "A good queen must protect their subjects from those that will do them or the kingdom harm. They act, speak, and hold themselves to serve their people first." Of course she would know the entire speech by heart at this point. Her parents were constantly testing her on the ways how she should interact with the commonfolk. Not that she hated doing it. In fact, she had met some truly wonderful people that way. Her first memory was being able to hold a fishing pole by a fisherman and reeling in a big catch. They look of joy on his face, it was what made her want to make everyone like that.
"Very good, sweetie." A hand came to rest on her head. "As the future of our people, you'll be expected to lead them when things look truly bleak. No matter how desperate you feel, how hard the odds are against you, you musn't allow the enemy the satisfaction of showing your fear." The girl would look conflicted at the feeling, remembering what had gotten her here in the first place. "But...I was defeated so easily. He didn't even have to try. I don't want Daddy to lose because of me but I don't want him to fight alone either."
Tsukina lent a guiding hand to her child, Aurelia watching as she took a sip of her drink. "Have I ever told you of my very first fight?" She continued after her daughter shook her head. "I was just a simple Genin sparring with a friend. I lost horribly, without even a punch to show for it." The information came as a surprise to the small listener, as she looked shocked. "But Mommy, you're the strongest person I know besides Daddy!" Another small pat of the head came to Aurelia for her efforts. "I know. But I lost every fight to my friend several times before I finally won. When we win, we don't really know why or how, just the win. When we lose, however, we learn more about why we didn't win. What we can do better next time, how we can improve. Do you understand?"
Aurelia gave a nod, smiling. "Kinda. So I just gotta learn how about what that guy does and then I can beat him!"

He nearly had her...nearly. Right at the last second, the pair seemed to become intangible, his hand passing right through his daughter's. He closed his eyes and winced at his failure, expecting a blow from behind to come and end his life at any moment. However, when none came, Belamos wheeled about to see Kya standing at the entrance to the Temple and launching an attack of her own. He knew she stood little chance- she couldn't even him when he was holding back...but her distraction had given him the chance he needed.
As Aurelia flew into the sky, golden wings sprouted from Belamos's form as the light which encased his body drained away. Raising his palm he blasted a beam of pure light, encasing and shattering the black prison that kept his child trapped. In the next moment, Belamos used all his speed to catch the girl before she could fall, and then fly towards the gates of the village as quickly as he could. His pride wounded, his body cut...but his daughter alive: in this state, Belamos fled with all due haste.

αAs Sandayu appeared in front of Kya, her eyes strangely were not focused on him at all, but rather the pale red ring that had formed around her feet. Her Sharingan watched the seals that formed and at once understanding filled her mind. Relaxing her body Kya let the flute fall from her hands and Sandayu grip her neck. Although his chakra probably didn't have the effect that he expected it would have. While her neck did begin to disintegrate on contact, a much more violent reaction occurred from the foreign chakra.
Kya's entire body instantly bricked into a pure black statue that fell to dust in contact with the wind. At that same moment the ring around her burned with a bright intensity that turned the ash from Kya's body into a vapour that was greedilyΒ devoured by the ring until nothing at all remained. The black on the inner circled faded first with the red symbols of the outer ring soon following suit. With no noise indicating that some out of the way attack was soon to come, it was safe for Sandayu to assume that the last of his opposition in Uzu was defeated.

__ A many-folded number of plausible counters to Belamos came and were promptly dismissed. Honestly, he'd lost interest but also had what little to spare directed back to the Uzushiogakure Academy. Kya disintegrated as he briefly gripped her throat and Belamos retrieved his daughter before flying away as fast as he could. Sandayu would disregard the fact that he could have barred their escape with great ease. "Hmph, what does it matter anyway?" He knew exactly where Belamos was going and what he would likely do next. 'Maybe this time he'll try harder to protect what he cares about with that restrained hope for peace?' Sanda scoffed and opened a Yomotsu Hirasaka portal to return to Kagami's side. It seemed that she was still dealing with some opposition despite their leader's demise.

The clone of Kya had disappeared several moments ago by now, but Junko paid it little mind. After all, she had her nose in a book and was heckin interested. Kya was very busy. Then there were noises upstairs, which when they stopped finally made her take notice. She put down the scrolls and headed back to the antechamber, keeping her ears strained.
Junko arrived just in time to watch Kya disintegrate.
Her eyes still adjusting, she caught the man's scent and his voice as he vanished, leaving her alone here, wondering what exactly happened, and how she was going to tell Kanzaki his last friend from Konoha was gone. Too scared to properly comprehend how close she may have come to dying along with her mentor, Junko didn't waste any time in running as fast as she possibly could to find her partner.

The mind was in a turmoil of ravaging emotion and thoughts that plagued his inner self, the anchors that kept the dragon in check were gone from that of Kya and Chie. It was the temple he would make a return to under the order of the older one of the cult, trust he had to do in the situation of hopelessness. The peculiar weapon upon his back quirked and seemed very much alive as he made his arrival to the temple as Zahara turned his head back to see its movement, it's odd nature was enough to snap him out of his venomous thoughts and instead observe the creature. 'A living weapon... It's feeding off of my chakra.' He noted the fatigue ever since he acquired this... thing.
The village had been in a state of panic when he left the lake while on his duty to the cult leader, while he been enroute, Zahara shrouded himself in a long black robe similar to the shark man he had just fought. Before he had arrived, he was confronted by three robed figures just like those he had seen once before in the meeting. A minor nuisance it was when he took out two of them with a single explosion from his punch, the third he moved in close and dispatched them with a palm strike to paralyze the body not before swiping their robe to blend in with the other few save for the large bandage wrapped living weapon upon his back.
Now at the temple he came to see the scene of the temple from the state of its chaotic mess, the grounds scarred from a recent battle and the still bodies of differing sides. Most he did not recognize, some worn village colors while others of the cult now remained as they stirred like rats from their burrows. The weapon on his back chirped, wiggled and shook as Zahara took a slow stride through the tori gates of the temple as his presence was made known to those approaching him, one hailing to him in a sense of code speak.
Only Zahara did not answer and instead he pulled down the hood that shrouded his face and stared everyone down within his radial sight, each target pinged mentally as he saw their chakra all around him. He was recognized and they each drew on him, weapons coming out from their deep robes and converged yet he did not move and instead chakra radiated from him. A small eruption pulsed outward of pure white chakra as he vented energy through his tenketsu as intimidation to his would be attackers and then after the sudden display of energy it died off quickly as each of the robed members stood unsteadily, one by one weapons clattered to the ground and a few wobbled on their legs.
Zahara held a single handseal as a means of concentration, focusing his energy on each of the cultists to lull them under the genjutsu. He used the chakra vent to take their attention away from his chakra settling over the area, a technique he learned from his late mentor Kya. Now they each slumped over in unnatural positions as the sleep took them into the folds of unconsciousness deep enough to not awake until after the technique would be dispelled or ended.
"Sleep in Nirvana, I don't need to send you all to hell." Zahara hissed out as the last of them fell over and he proceeded to make his approach into the temple proper, the wrapped weapon on his back chittering even more. It sensed others from his deduction, and it seemed to be immune to his genjutsu. His new weapon was indeed peculiar...
Indeed his blade would sense true and would undoubtedly alert Zahara to the other smaller man who had since made a break for the entrance of the temple by shuushining up to the doors and fling them open to escape the beast who had so easily slaughtered his comrades. Before he left to go inside however, Zahara would notice that his tiny frame was covered in midnight black scales in a similar fashion to a snake. While catching the stray cultist was still up grabs, what would very likely catch the man's attention was the complete blank zone that Zahara would be unable to see through with his bakugan. Whatever was going on here it seemed that entering the temple was the only way to hunt down the truth.

The fish-sword chirped as it noticed a new figure escaping from him, retreating from the radius of his genjutsu. Zahara's eyes kept a lock on him as his hand clutched the hilt of the weapon, feeling the chakra fatigue as the sentient weapon wiggled and shivered. He slowly walked his way to where his prey fled, his Byakugan deactivating now as he saw nothing beyond to where they've fled. With the weapon in hand, Zahara breathed out a long heavy sigh as he focused his chakra again upon himself with a one handed seal.
An unnatural calmness settled over his mind and the fury of a storm within his mind was now gone, still it was as a gentle sea. He inflicted himself with a genjutsu then to suppress his emotion, turning him into a duty driven war dog. He had only used such a technique once before to keep his own fury in check as he came upon the temple now, shark blade hoisted on the shoulder as scanned the inside with his amber eyes, relying upon his new best friend's quirky chittering to alert him to ambient chakra sources.
"You react to anything with chakra, don't you?" He said to no one in particular, in fact he spoke to his 'sword'.

Stepping further into the temple ground Zahara would feel a low quake the emanated from the building that the lizard-man had ran into before halting after a few seconds. The real danger began after this quake ended, with spikes of black crystal tearing through the walls and roof of the temple in a random and uncoordinated order. The door to the temple was now entirely torn off and inside one would be able to see nothing but black crystal that seemed to create a tunnel of some sort going all the way down. If he spent more than a few seconds investigating this strange substance Zahara would also be able to uncover this crystal as the source of his blocked byakugan. Thankfully Samehada would still be able to sense the chakra of multiple entities coming from within the labyrinth and would likely be his only source of direction should he choose to enter.

The quaking ground did little to disturb or even phase the man as he pulled the chittering creature of a blade across his shoulder. An unnatural chill ran through the air as the sound of the earth clattered, wood and stone snapping and breaking now as the temple doors snapped. He didn't feel no fear nor concern as the hunter drew upon his baser instincts as he was egged on by his new sentient best friend, a fish blade. Chakra flowed from his body then as he gripped the hilt of the quivering blade tighter, swinging the weapon in a wide sweeping arc along the wall where the strange material formed, the creature grew more excited as the Hyuuga felt the symbiotic feel of it tasting the ambient chakra within the material. His swing brushed alongside the crystal as he whirled it a complete three sixty back to his shoulder where it came to rest, the shark chirping a satisfied sound as it fed back the details. He broke into a full run, sword now clutched tightly in hand as it still remained over the shoulder but Zahara looked on ahead, trusting a sixth sense in that of the mental scent of his blade's sensory information. He was partially fused with the blade to a point he actually hadn't noticed, yet he would be prepared.
Despite it's hardness the black crystal was easily cut apart by Samehada's scales with it's chakra absorption ability cutting havoc across it's chakra based surface. The moment he pulled back however the crystal simply reformed with whatever chakra was keeping it alive. Meanwhile a little ways away from Zahara another spike of black crystal broke through the ground and torn itself apart to what looked like another tunnel, the body of one wimpy lizard man from before came coughing out of the entrance. His body was mangled with third degree burn marks all over his body. It seemed like he choose his last moment decisions poorly. but at least from the looks of it Zahra could choose either tunnel to enter now at least.

Zahara approached the coughing fool with amber eyes staring down upon him, the shark skin sword chittered even more as the source of chakra excited it. A meal, prey to devour and consume until nothing was left as the sentient blade began to hold sway over its master. Silken shadows loomed in the area with the unnatural crystals as the Hyuuga examined the monstrosity that was both reptile and man but weakened and coughing to burns. His body slowly now began to contort as the chittering chirps and quivering sword's hilt curled around his arm.
Zahara's sword lost its bandages in unfurling ribbons of its material so it shown its true form. Hundreds of hooked back scales lined the fleshy blade with a gaping maw of dozens of dagger-like teeth assumed the end of this strange blade. But now as the true form of his blade revealed itself, Zahara instinctually pulled his cloak and tunic off with his left hand, tearing the cloth with his head tilted back as he stared at the man. Him and the creature merged through the symbiosis of his chakra and flesh, Zahara's bare skin rippling with the muscle and change of skin to that of leathery and rough texture similar to an actual shark's. Zahara's eyes now glowed with their ambient amber stare as his black hair lengthened with the unholy transformation, teeth sharp as razors and a face to match that of a ravenous predator.
His prey skittered back with a futile effort upon witnessing the transformation only to to clutched at the ankle as Zahara pulled them back. A coughing fit resumed with a cry for help but the abomination of Zahara fell atop of him as he stabbed a single clawed hand into the base of their spine. Snap of bone and sound of flesh almost drowned out the scream that came next as he rolled the man onto his back and clutched his hands around the neck, silencing the shout. He choked the squirming prey, making a struggle as samehade-Zahara relished the chakra it was draining from them, the man soon ceased movement and then the neck was snapped like a twig, jerking their head in an unnatural stare to the left. Lunch was served.
Zahara stood up again, some time had passed as he was in a pool of dried blood, his shirt in tatters with only his cloak covering his upper half while he looked about for the sword. It was nearby where he last seen the burned man, his memory was hazy but the strange creature wiggled in delight to see its wielder awake again. There was that chirp again, like a pigeon's coo when he lifted the weapon back onto his shoulder. A thought came to him then, had the man gotten away? Had they fought briefly? He assumed as such from all the blood and blamed a genjutsu as he kai'd out of his own and whatever else he may have been under.
Strange. Not thinking on it further, Zahara continued on into the tunnel now with a renewed caution opposite of where he saw the crispy lizard-man had come from. No need to deviate to a path of what may spell his own end.
A roving group of ten Masato clones landed in the area. The scene around them made little difference, he would open his Yomotsu Hirasaka Gate that connected to the Ninshuu Temple. " Everyone here needs to evacuate the village. We've only minutes before it is lost. " The clones would begin to usher those nearby into the portal to safety. Once they would be safely inside the portal, he would shut it and disperse the clones.

As he entered the dark crystal halls Zahara would find himself in a labyrinth of tunnels all connected to one another, in addition to all of that the reflecting properties of the crystal meant that for miles and miles only it's dark color could be see. Assuming he wasn't careful it was likely that he'd bump into one of the walls in the pitch black, but even more than this was Samehada's restlessness. For the most part it would pull in the direction it wanted it's wielder to go, undoubtedly leading Zahara towards the source of all of this, but every now and then would freeze still in the silence to observe it's surroundings. He wasn't alone. Any ninja would be able to tell that and yet if there was a foe hiding in in the crystal they had made no move to strike at him. Perhaps they wanted to unnerve him? Or maybe this was all paranoid ramblings. Either way the trip passed quickly enough with it's final steps opening up into a cavern the size of football field. He deep in the earth now but the blackness was not enough to disguise the twisted forms of snake-human hybrids littering the area. Among them all in the middle of this cavern was the shape of one familiar pink haired woman. Chie. It was her quite clearly yes, but her eyes lacked the liveliness that one would expect normally. Even more than this Zahara would find no warm greeting or even a single word from her lips as her eyes meet with his. Instead a bright glow formed along her hand and arms letting on that she was far from being friendly. Another rumble shook the cavern as the earth beneath Zahara's feet split apart into a chasm. Not so bad if that were the end of it but onto of this earth split was torrent of water the burst into existence from thin air to rush into the newly created chasm and threaten to pull and drag down everything into it's depths.
Wareme Souzou [ Chasm Creation ] | Rank A When this jutsu is performed the user places their hands on the ground and focuses chakra into the earth, splitting it apart and creating a chasm. The longer the shinobi focuses chakra into the earth, the wider and deeper the chasm becomes. Initially it is thirty feet deep, sixty feet long, and 6 feet wide. The chasm then doubles every subsequent post for half the cost of the original technique, so long as hand contact with the ground is maintained. The technique may be directed by the user as it grows, and does not need to be a straight line.
Gekiryuu Chikara [ Raging River Force ] | Rank A This technique is similar to the Water Torrent technique, save for a few key differences. Firstly, the power of this technique is enough to tear down most stone walls and defenses, not to mention defenses made of weaker materials. Secondly, this technique produces enough water to flood a small area. This technique can fill an area of 400 square feet (a 20x20 square) with approximately a foot of water.

The maze of tunnels were not anything new or out of the ordinary, yet the complete darkness was also something he had experienced once before in the likes of genjutsu that blackened both sight and sound. Through focus came clarity, the second lesson of his late mentor Kya came to be as he moved along and trusted his gut instincts and the mental probing of the sentient beast in his hands. Paranoia loomed over him as a puppeteer of the darkness, small tiny figments of his imagination came onto the mental stage and played their little tune as Zahara moved with his eyes shut, trusting the sword's call. An odd hunger settled over him as sometimes the sharkskin didn't feed back its mental imagery to him, he could feel... a growing hunt from it. Samehade... Sharkskin... Why did that name come to me? He thought suddenly, eyes flicking open as he hefted the samehade up to readjust for comfort. You're most definitely alive. Like a parasite even. Zahara thought before continuing on.
Steps echoed more, the sound of its feedback grew longer between each step as that had meant the tunnels were growing wider, more open in space and he opened his eyes once more to peer upon a spacious atrium of sorts. For the longest he trusted the sword's hound dog go get 'em attitude that was constantly nagging in the recess of his mind but he stayed the blood lust. It was still dark but not enough to disguise the many silhouettes within and he was now on guard more than ever. Yet even his eyes without the byakugan active could make out the form of... someone familiar as his heart caught within his throat and he choked up for a second. Chie.
"S-Sensei..." He began for a second, dropping to his knees as his eyes stung. "I... had failed you even now." He whispered this as if to tell himself, unknowing if the phantom was real or his mind falling into the depths of insanity. It was there in his mental mindscape of an endless shallow sea began to darken, the twilight strewn sky in this inner world blinked out one by one. In the depths of his mind, a familiar voice spoke out in an echo that brought him back to sanity. Memory of his fight with Kya rang out. "All that lives and is worthy of life, must move!"
Zahara snapped his head up just in time as he saw the Chie with a hand stretched forth, glowing. The ground split beneath him into a deep abyss as he now begun to relive the very first lesson he had, Motion. He fell into the earthen creation like he was resigned to his fate, the samehade screeching in the most unholy cry ever by both excitement of the chakra and the fact they were both falling. The cloak around his midsection billowed as he focused all his chakra into the sides of the expanding chasm, one arm outstretched and his own jutsu came alive as his left arm flowed with chakra as the water exploded up from its origin point and... in a mere moment Zahara rose his arm up and clenched a fist as he activated his technique.
A powerful combination technique took place as he took control over the surrounding earth as the rumbling stopped, stalagmites broke out from the chasm walls as they breemed with white hot chakra as the ground rapidly expanded. The water that was created was snuffed out of existence from the combined technique but it also helped create the foundation of his jutsu as he turned the elemental nature of earth against the water, literal fuel for his own use. Zahara's descent had been stopped by one of the jutting stalagmites and he casually pushed his hair back as he willed to life one of his more powerful techniques as the Korabo came alive as the surrounding stone sleutthered white dollops of sticky clay as Zahara combined his Clay kekkei genkai with that of the rock hill creation and now the recess of the pit he had was forcibly closed and the water ninjutsu literally backfired to be used as fuel for his clay creature at the same time.
Overturned soil, stone and white sticky clay now bulged out of the created hole as Zahara stood atop of it all, Samehade still in hand as he stared daggers at the false Chie and the horde of unknown goons. The clay began to move as if it were drawn to the Hyuuga and soon it created a animated creature beneath his feet of a winged hound, sunken eyes slightly aglow with chakra as he and this clay being stared down the creatures.
"And the lesson... is Truth. Our final reality" Zahara clutched the weapon in both hands as his clay pet took two steps forward with unfurling wings, wet clay still dripping from its freshly formed body as embers sparked off of its leathery like skin. "I will erase you for taking the form of Sensei."
