Shesha Post 3 Giving a little snort Shesha lifted a hand, running his fingers through his hair, and said, "I don't get frazzled and I am not a perzi, little fish. I am pleased to see that you're perking up and smiling a bit. I much prefer you actually smiling instead of looking completely dour around me. It makes me think that you don't care for me." Which would annoy him since he enjoyed having a fawning audience. Turning to glance his way for a moment, his gaze leaving the battles going on before them, he gave his outfit another once over before looking forward again, "It seems like an... interesting sort of... test? Though at the same time don't you think it a risky thing, jingling about when Lord Parthlio is often skulking about looking for an opening to grab you? Unless you think your skills are getting to a point where you can slip by him?" The last question was a really curious one since he was interested in Aqio's growing skills. Giving a chuckle as his comment he said, "I doubt that they are so forgiving. There are those who probably came eager to have a shot at taking a swing at those they hate. Not to mention if someone from outside of Oba wins they will be able to rub it in the faces of their hosts." That was what he felt would happen at least. Smirking he said, "But hey, maybe we are wrong and some sappy, peace loving dolt will be the one to win?"

Briella Post 3 She shook her head. So many children, she had barely made it through with just one. "I don't know how you did it, raising so many young ones. I have to give you your props. You earned them." Although some part of her wanted another child most of her was happy with the one child she had, plus she was getting to be too old for a child anyways. She wouldn't be able to run around with a youngling like she did when Ilyra was young. At getting the child's clothing description Briella nodded. She felt like she might be able to pick her out of the crowd if she saw her. "She is, I should make my way in that direction anyways. I wonder if the roster has instructions on where to go..." She hadn't seen them earlier, but maybe she was just distracted by looking for Ilyra.

Lasseyn Post 3 When Varinia looked her way Lasseyn couldn't help but smile back, even if she was frozen in place from how nervous she was. Then to make matters even worse Naevius spoke to her. She didn't know what to do with the compliment, her face flushed from the blush on her face. "Thank you... And yes. You're home land is nice, and you have good food." she said looking between the two women and her mother. When Naevius asked her mother if they had met before her faced scrunched in confusion. Her mother never told her about meeting Obans. What was she hiding? Nilah44 Lasseyn @ Varinia & Naevius

Bushi Post 3 Bushi turned away from those that he'd been watching toward the voice, giving the woman a glance, "Heh, spices, eh? You know you're not the first Leaf Tribe woman who sought me out for such things. Did Phaedra send you to me? Or is On'os just sending many pretty members of your tribe to meet with me?" He asked in a curious manner. Was she friends with Phaedra perhaps? If so he was glad she'd send this woman to him, if not then he was still happy to have a new customer. Giving a smile he said, "All of my things are being held my Aatos, my bushi who carries by packs. If you like I can show you what herbs I have. Most of the Sautian herbs were purchased by the little sprite Phaedra, but as far as hers from Oba, Tale, and Jauhar goes I still have those."

Lasarra Post 3 She held on tightly to her daughters hand, watching her as the two women approached and one spoke to her. Lasseyn was so fearless. St that age Lasarra wasn't sure that she would be able to speak to strangers, let alone people from a completely different race. When Naevius directed her attention towards her Lasarra looked up and was shocked to see a familiar face. It wasn't overly familiar, she hadn't seen it in years, but since it was only of the only friendly Oban encounters she had ever had she remembered the girl. "I believe we met once before, during the war? We spoke of your creatures." she remembered. Oh how things had changed over the years. Nilah44 Lasarra @ Varinia & Naevius

Eleina Post 3 More and more hybrids joined their group, and she couldn't be more pleased. She hoped she wouldn't have to fight any of them though, the more of their kind that went far into the fights the better. It was important to show that hybrids were just as good, if not better, then those of pure blood.
When V'demhe said she would try to make it to see Eleina's fight the girl beamed. It would mean the world to her to have V'demhe see her win. Hopefully she would win though. How sad it would be if she lost and they were all watching her.
She followed the conversation, not adding much to it. That was until Masika started to talk about shopping. "Oh there has to be many many good places to shop! There has to be stores from all over the world! I'm sure your mom would be cool with all of us going to shop as long as we are together? We can ask when she comes back." There was no way they were going any where without Dem saying they could. She didn't have a death wish.

Aqio Post 3 He smiled a little more. "On the contrary Shesha, your the only Oban besides my Mentor that I like." he admitted readily. As he looked out over the crowd he saw a few fights were already under way. "Hm. The fighters seem to be varied in both skill and motive..." At the other's inquiries he made a tsking sound. "I'm not afraid of him. I was told that he loathes this tournament so he has retreated to the other Oban settlement for now. For a year, I believe, I should be safe to wander and increase my skill...my Caretaker talked of using dyes to change my hair color...I'll be forgoing the face paint for now. I wore it for my brother, but even he wants me to excel in this field and to do so..." he chuckled. "I have to stop hiding behind this mask." At the male's final comment Aqio gave a more hearty laugh. "I think my Mentor has money down on that."

Nuawahn post 2 "Hiiii Zuri!" he said, giving her a happy squeeze. He let go before his exhuberance could actually hurt her or anything of the sort. "Nope! Not fighting, but I'll be down in the healing tents... healing!" he said, giggling as he summoned a few sparkly lights, just for effect. "Are you fighting, Zuri?" he asked. He waved at the newcomer. "Hiii, do I know you?" he asked the Alkidike. It was not impossible that he'd met her before. The shifter man got a... stare. "I know you!" he said suddenly, perplexedly, "I know you... but who are you?" the face was familiar... but in the memory, it was so much bigger.

Dyakida post 2"Mmm. Yes. A few." she said, reaching out towards Ilyra to touch her hand in greeting. "But the better sales will come closer to the end, I think, once people have seen what my weapons can do." she'd offered spare weapons for the prentices, though she had heard that the Obans had provided some of their own army surplus... so in that sense, it was her weapons against theirs. No question which would reign supreme. "Who is fighting now? Anyone who bears my weapons?" she asked, listening to the crowd cheer. "When do you fight, sister?"Orpheus Solon Wanna drag Bushi over to trade with kida?

Volkarosh post 2Volkarosh glanced towards the... shifter? They were clearly a hybrid and, subtly, stood slightly between her and the small strange-looking glowing-eyed child. Leaf and ice? She nodded - it was close enough. No one needed to know her Alkidike ancestry if she didn't want them to. "You're part shifter, I assume." she said, nodding appreciatively. She watched the child for a moment, before crouching down. She was sure the child's hair was natural - or maybe magicked - but that wasn't her problem, and she didn't see how that was the other hybrid's business. "Do you have money? Or goods to trade?" she asked.

Vodyanoi -- post 3
Vodyanoi listened and nodded curiously as they delved deeper into the subject of the other young man's creations, somewhat surprised that he hadn't sold any yet (he'd seen some people selling far shabbier wares in the markets, that was certain). Surely if he just so much as spread out a blanket in some busy spot somewhere, he'd surely make himself some extra coin by the end of the day. But perhaps that sort of thing didn't come naturally to everyone. Vodyanoi himself had, by now, gotten pretty used to the daily grind of making money in the markets, and he didn't even have anything physical to sell.
Before he could tell the man what he was thinking, though, another pale-haired fellow walked up... with sad slope to his shoulders, and... oooh, a glint of jealousy in his words.
Vodyanoi laughed openly, affording the cute pair a wink. "A friend? Of sorts."
The bejeweled wind boy, however, then admitted he didn't even know Vodyanoi's name, which sort of spoiled his (probably ill-advised) bid to tease the jealous loser on as some sort of payback for his less-than-amiable greeting. Oh, well. Maybe it was just him who was jealous, anyway, because he certainly didn't have a brave warrior fighting in the tournament.
"I'm Vodyanoi. -- a musician, by trade. I've got a perzi too, but he's just a kitten. I was afraid a janarim would eat him or something, if he came out with me."

Juno -- post 2
Being stuck at the stall was just about staring to frustrate him. He could hear the sounds of the tournament commencing, cheers and gasps and the clashing of metal, and he sorely wanted to watch, if only a fight or two. He was, however, just about ready to give up hope of ever seeing anything interesting when the bakery owner finally showed up, rolling her eyes and mumbling about 'senseless violence' and 'foolish young people' and the like. But she saw the hopeful look on his face, and waved him off towards the stands as she took his place behind the baskets of bread.
Juno grinned and grabbed a few of his favourite buns, stuffing them in his bag before darting off towards the action.
(( juno's still open for whatever interaction. B) ))

Stereochrome Vodyanoi- He would like to point out he's not flirting...personally I don't think he knows what that is. Xarnith Post 2 Xarnith blinked at the water male, shifting his body to extend a hand. "Nice to meet you, as Bisera said I'm Xarnith." he felt small claws in his leg then sighed. "I'm sorry about my attitude when I walked up. Not...a fan of losing." He felt like he did that a lot. There was that random sparring match his Uncle set up...then there was that farce of a hunt. He shook his head a bit. "It's nice to meet you. Vodyanoi. I'll admit. I haven't met a Matori Tribesmen yet." He looked at the other and nodded in apperication. "Did you want to grab some food with us or were you here with others?"

Takoda post 3
The shifter felt rather embarrassed about bumping into the woman and he was about to apologize and leave as it seemed she was busy talking with others when a voice suddenly called out to him forcing him to turn back and face whomever it was that was addressing him.
The light haired wind male seemed to be staring at him rather intensely causing the shifter to blush under such scrutiny. To be honest he wasn't entirely familiar with this young man. There was something about him though that jarred in his memory.
"Ah.." The soul linker looked at the man, trying to pinpoint where exactly he may of met him. He had to think back, waaaay back and his eyes widened suddenly as the memory of a lost little boy came to light.
"N...Nuawahn?" Takoda managed stumbling over the younglings name, it had been quite some time since the shifter had seen the boy, now a man but the memory of treating his fever and helping his pet were still there.draconicfeline A very long time! Takoda is pleased to see him alive XD

Aldren Post: 1He'd parted ways with the family and friends he'd traveled with nearly first thing that morning. His sister had wished him luck and told him not to make too much a fool of himself. Aldren didn't feel inclined to make any such promises. Uncle had informed him they'd be on the sidelines, so Aldren could seek them out when he was through. And Zumei... Well, she'd had her own fight to get to. Before they'd had a chance to split, he told her he'd be rooting for her. And surely someone when that much energy and eagerness couldn't do poorly. She'd probably be fine.
He didn't think as much could be said for himself. Needless to say, a tall, scrawny, untrained Ice boy having his first fight in the desert sun wasn't likely to get very far, and somehow, that suited Aldren just fine.
After his match, he was a bit tired, a little sore, and definitely hungry, but still in good spirits, all the same. Maybe he'd lost, but it was still an interesting experience and not one he would've had in Zena. Not that anything about the festival was. Aldren made it up into the stands in time to catch the start of Zumei's fight. Unfortunately, there wasn't much more to it than that. Maybe that was just what happened against those oversized Alk girls. They really were quite tall and dangerous-looking.
After only a few minutes of sitting, Aldren stood again and moved to head back down to the arena entrance to console the Wind female. She'd been so excited; hopefully the loss wasn't too upsetting. But maybe some food would help. It sounded good to him, anyway.
