Kairatos had the Code. They'd gotten what they came for. Now it was time to get the hell out of there before they all met a very bad end. Palatine looked across the room to find the best path back to the stairs, but all that remained of the floor was the outer perimeter, and that would likely give way very soon.
They had to get out of there, or everything they'd done so far would be for nothing.
Kairatos's urging spurred her on, and Palatine began to move. She grabbed Varuna by the arm and practically dragged her niece along with her. She heard another knight, the Squire from the pile of bones on a short while ago, shout something about a rope. A Squire from before had, too. When they'd all been reaching for the Code.
Palatine reached for the Squire's rope and grabbed on tightly, urging Varuna to do the same.
“Whatever you're going to do, do it now, or we're all dead,” she told the Squire (Havasu).
No pressure.

Sailor Altair
Paris had seemed to be doing okay from what she had seen of him beginning to make his way up to the surface and for that Altair was glad. She started moving up the steps after the Saturn page and was finding it a challenge to keep her balance. She kept persistent amid the climb as she endeavored to concentrate on carefully but steadily heading up the steps to reach the surface as well. And though she refrained from risking a worried look back towards where she hoped the Earth squire was not far behind, fearing she might in the process lose the already questionable state of her balance and possibly trigger a snowballing avalanche of falls, Altair hoped Newgrange was not experiencing a substantial struggle during the climb to the surface.
Varuna let out a shriek of distress as she slipped on the stones, skinning her knees and shins as she toppled to the ground with a few others. The whole place seemed to be falling apart and in the panic, she wasn’t sure which way to go.
Thankfully, Palatine grabbed her and dragged her along. Varuna grabbed the squire’s (Havasu) rope when she was prompted to do so, trying to ignore the pain in her knees from where she’d slipped. They needed to get out. Hopefully they would even be able to!

With the floor almost completely gone, it was the extra boost of speed from Havasu Falls weapon that got the rest across in one piece. Though they were moving quickly, stumbling slightly coming to the stairs, it was Havasu who would be the most drained of them all.
But now was not the time to double check on anyone.
Now was the time to get out of the Academy and move on. While much has been left untouched, you have a prize—you have a piece of the Code. But if you don't want to lose it—or your lives, now is the perfect time to get going!

The Academy is too dangerous to explore further; you need to exit or your life is forfeit! Thankfully, the path up to the portal is in plain sight…
But you might not like what you see.
You can make exit posts if you like, but please head to the Turning Tides ORP!

The matter of straddling another man's back pained him greatly, solely for the matter of putting weight onto his injured leg. The cane directly next to it bore some of the weight as he hobbled himself into position, and the senshi managed to catch hold. As soon as they were ready to depart, Scholomance dismissed his weapon; as much as he wanted to hold onto it in the case of collapsing ceilings, too, he knew his magic could only prevent the senshi from getting injured (so long as he was alive to cast it).
The journey, unfortunately, would be a slow one as Centisima was so taxed with his weight. His survival rate increased drastically with the senshi's willingness to carry him, though he worried whether either one of them would make it to the stairs now. Mortar lining the floor cracked and fell away at a drastic pace, taking its bricks with it, and exposing more of the iniquitous black death beneath. Those who made their efforts toward the Code discovered forking paths as well, but someone managed to grab it. Scholomance could not view who from his position.Getting out alive looked like a slim possibility from there.
Scholomance clicked his tongue twice as he would with a horse, relying on humor to quell his nerves enough to keep his wits about him. The stairs were not close, but if Centisima booked it, they needn't worry about discovering the nature of the pit beneath the floor.

The rest of the floor gave way, but they made it back to the stairs. Palatine didn't have time to feel relieved. The building could easily continue its collapse. She didn't relish the thought of being stuck inside.
Besides, they had a battle to join. She'd had every intention of coming here to figure out what was going on with that weird feeling of deja vu, before heading on to the castle.
As she ascended the steps, she meant to do just that.
Looking behind her to make sure that Varuna was following, Palatine made her toward the entrance of the Academy.
A strange feeling of sadness filled her at the thought of leaving it behind to continue to rot in the Negaverse's domain. She shook from her mind on the way out. There was nothing more they could do for it.
Corinth didn't listen or stop if Dallol complained, he just kept her tucked close to his body as he ran as hard and fast as he could up the stairs, doing his best to get them out of the Academy. Once they broke through the doors however, he put her down and let her walk on her own, since they were mostly out of danger... Hopefully.

Nirvana, Page of Pluto (Supporting Havasu)
As his fellow Plutonian knight used his ability to rescue those around them, Nirvana gasped, watching the floor fall further and further away. It was only once all of them had made it to the stairs that the impending doom seemed to melt away from the young page.
He moved with a haste to get Havasu up the stairs, he still careful of the man's injured arm. He knew that they would have to set it once all was said and done, but truth be told, he was more worried about how the hell they would get out of here. He was more than certain that the agents had been alerted by now, and, as they emerged from the doors of the academy, he was proven right.
Grus felt herself going faster, pushed on by some unknown force. She joined the last of the group in stumbling away from the crumbling floor. "That was a close one." she said.

Ananke Exit
Ananke was surprised when Arthur took off but kept running when she was told to. Eventually she made it to the top not knowing yet what she was yet to face.
Eternal Athene -- exiting with Alcor, Eleonora and Liryn
Somehow, somehow they had all managed to get back across and on the side of the stairs and Athene had a feeling that it was very much to do with the rope that the voice had asked them all to grab - a rope that had somehow given them just enough speed to make it back across.
Not that they were out of the woods though since they still had to get out of here and to the safety - dubious though it was - of the outside.
He glanced at the twins and at Liryn who was back in cat form knowing that scolding the mauvian would have to wait.
Instead he said "We have to get out of here and quickly" as he urged Eleonora to go up slightly in front of him with anxious gestures of his hands and started to follow after because he had a feeling that whatever luck had been with them to date was probably not going to be with them for much longer - at least not if they lingered any longer.
The ascension of the staircase was one that was punctuated by the continuous rumble of collapsing stone and another memory for the nightmares - but the exit was up ahead - the way out was up ahead and then he had every intention of getting everyone back to Caedus' portal.

Falias, Squire of Earth
The rope had given them some sort of speed boost and it had been enough to get them all back across the shattered floor.
Barely.
Although the rumble of dropping stone was a stark reminder that they weren't home clear yet.
But they were closer - much closer than they had been when they had been on the other side with the Code piece.
It was time to go though - past time in fact.
He started heading up the steps upwards.
They needed to get back - needed to get the Code piece out of here.
The squire about faced as Kairatos grabbed the Code, hooked an arm with Themiscrya, and bolted around the crumbling floor and stairs. Nope, not getting stuck down here if she could help it.

Centisima booked it.
Once he had a good hold of the squire and was certain his rider wasn’t going to topple backwards the second he started running, Centisima was in the move. He ran as if his life depended on it, and well, it did. He was all too aware of the floor disappearing behind them and the way the whole room seemed to be shaking and crumbling.
He would have been swearing if he had the breath for it but instead he focused on getting the hell out of this piece of s**t ruin thank you very much.
They did make it out, just in time, before the ground could swallow them up but Centisima kept on going, hoping to get the portal and out of Nega Town as soon as possible.

Havasu Falls, Squire of Pluto
They needed to go, the floor was crumbling faster. With a last, “whatever you do don't let go’ he triggered his magic and began to run.
One Mississippi…. Two Mississippi…. Three Mississippi….
His lungs burned, even with the extra boost of speed it felt like they were moving at a crawl. Finally they reached the relative safety of the stairs just as his magic died out, Hav’s pool of energy giving out. He sagged against Nirvana, barely aware of the page dragging his a** out of the rapidly crumbling building. Each step jostled his arm, blackness started to eat away at the edge of his vision.
Injured, drained, magicless. The trifecta of being screwed. The squire didn't have a choice however, he needed to get his team home safe. As Nirvana and he reached the doors of the academy and saw what was waiting for them a quiet curse slipped from him.
Their escape wasn't over yet… It was just beginning.
