There were monsters, here: staining the walls black and darkening the courtyard, inky creatures that swarmed every inch of the place. Ollie only had a moment to take them in before they were on him, as well. He was blinded, fumbling in the dark, gasping for air -- even if, realistically, he didn't need it. They weren't down his throat, after all, weren't plastered across his face or blocking his airways.
Sense returned as his hand settled on a ballista and, fumbling, he turned it on the beasts that followed him. His shot went wild, and a claw raked down his back. Ollie hissed, and went to reload.

This never seemed to get tiresome for her! Hell, this was better than that bout of dysentery that she got questing with Willson! God was that terrible and she never wanted to go through that again, or quest with some one other than her self again. She might have better luck flying solo~

This time, at least, Ollie hit something with a resounding thud that made his expression go from concern to, suddenly, glee. He was completely at home where he was, already twisting in place to grab more ammo and continue the attack. He barely felt the shadowling that attacked him, slashing with a tail across his face. It barely even managed to draw blood, anyway: he was made of stronger stuff than that, and could handle a little sting of pain.
Especially when he got to use a ballista on shadow monsters. This was what he had signed up for, after all.

This was starting to wear her down, she could feel it. But, giving up was not an option! The more of these things she killed, the better off Camelot(She knew the kingdom's name now, did she ever know at some point?) will be in the long run. These abominations will not be allowed to live as long as she had the energy to slice through them with her scythe. Amy vowed to go in for healing as soon as her limbs refused to move anymore. Hopefully that wont mean she died.

This felt right to Ollie, comfortable and proper. There was nothing in the world he should be doing more but throwing himself at monsters -- although, the added barrier of a machine between him and them made something about it less appealing, less exciting. He was torn. On the one hand, it would be more fun to draw his weapon and slash through the beasts' skin. On the other --
Well, on the other, there was definitely something exciting about the way the ballista shot, snapping and firing, tearing through shadows as it flew. His grin took on a bit of a manic edge.

Suddenly Wrath spoke with confusion and she immediately looked up at him with widened eyes. "What--oh.." She hesitated, pulling her glove back on to cover it up with a slight frown. "I was--" before she could finish, a shadow came upon her and slashed across her cheek. She hissed, raising a leg to kick a sharp heel into its gut and slash across its throat with her chakram, disposing of it.
Now was not the time. "We'll talk about it when this is over," she promised, looking up at Wrath.

Do these things even bleed? Or are they just shadows that are made of smoke? Of course Amy would ask herself these questions mentally while slicing though the very creature she was thinking about. It took her mind off the pain that they would inflict each time she took one down. She didn't DARE look at her state of dress right now since she was sure she'd have a hissy fit that her blood was staining the shiny armor she earned.Priorities right?

His gaze went back down to the tattoo as she covered it back up, and he wondered briefly why she even bothered, and then he wondered if she was trying to hide it, and why, and what could it all possibly mean?
Taking a deep breath, he looked away from her. "Fine." He rolled his head from side to side, cracking his neck before he shrugged his shoulders, hefting his war hammer once more, "I look forward to discussing it with you later." His smile was a little forced, and appeared more on the grim side than anything.
Another shadowling jumped at him while she was dealing with hers, but with yet another broad swing with arms that were becoming quite weary, it was felled, but not before it managed to get a swipe in on his leg.
And then, just because he couldn't help himself. "Do you think it means that we belong together? Or...." He paused, and then frowned, "You're not my sister or something are you??" Appalling thought. Completely and utterly appalling.
Clearly, however, he could not wait to discuss it later.

I AM USING THE BALLISTA AND THE CURRENT DAMAGE DONE IS 500
He was starting to flag, just a bit, Ollie could heal it: the top of his extreme energy melting back down toward something standard, a normal boy who'd taken off at a sprint when maybe he should have prepared himself better for a marathon. This wasn't a battle that was going to end soon, and he needed to pace himself. He needed to take his time, to drive off enemy attacks instead of just letting them slash at him.
Ollie did none of these things. Instead, he grinned again, reveling in the snip-snap of the ballista going off, the horrid scream of a creature as it was near cut in half. He ignored the one that wrapped around his shoulders, until it was trying to drive fingers into his eyes, and then he threw that one off. His cheek was puffy, now, a dull ache, but there was nothing he could do about that so instead he set to releoading.

His hands contain calluses from handling a plow. His face is tanned along with ever bit of exposed skin, a testament to how long he was out in it. On his right arm is a series of scars as well as a tattoo of a tiger. Under the jacket on his shoulder is another tattoo of a star.
Micheal has a nice red cloak that was torn at some point. He still wears it. he also has a tool belt full of little items designed to be helpful in a bad situation. Dirge rushed in without thinking or looking, just a blind charge into the tumultuous battle, swinging his spear wildly but hitting absolutely nothing in the process.
They hit him, though, but they didn't hit too hard. Scrapes and cuts weren't much, a bit of shoving and general teasing. Were these half-beasts holding back? How dare they.
