Benji grins and takes the glowstick happily, pocketing the carnival ticket he finds stuck to it. "You're doing a great job, Haruffe," he says with a smile. "Maybe after carnival is over, we could have a big party and stay up late, too!"

Partying is always good, Nova agrees. Plus another neat purple glowstick! "I'll be careful," he tells Haruffe.

Lusine was keeping back from the Fortunetelling Booth. She'd been to see Harufee a few times now, and the large Minotaur no longer frightened her, much. She was instead watching others come and go from the booth, often they came in pairs or groups, people who looked like friends and students from the school. Lou didn't really have friends, the wood she called her home where large and dark and mostly lonely. She wondered what it would be like to have her fortune read with someone else. Would it be any different than when she went alone? Friends could be nice too, she supposed, if she found someone she trusted. However, her shyness would make finding friends challenging. Lost in thought, Lou began to wander away from the booth, when she accidentally knocked into a tall ghoul. " So sorry!" She said breathlessly, and feeling suddenly self-conscious, looked at her feet, wings aflutter.

Lock had decided to visit the fortune booth on a whim towards the eve of the festival's closing.
He got a fortune about being prestigous. He supposed that was a good note to end on.

Qui had been wandering the remaining booths calmly, his long wings tucked neatly against his body, golden sharp eyes trailing about aimlessly. These festivals were the only times he ever ventured from the safety of his new home with his other fellow Horseman... or when he spent time with his one and only friend, Uru. These celebrations were nice. He could go along unnoticed, and unbothered, without worrying about his presence being questioned or disliked.
As he neared the interesting booth before him, he noticed a little ghoul getting jostled about accidentally with her lack of awareness. Seeing the moth-like creature bump into another ghoul, who looked rather irritated by the young miss, Qui observed silently. The tall ghoul had started shouting and snapping at the moth ghoul, before storming off with a great amount of attitude. Watching her go, the stallion was hesitant for a moment as he looked to the victim of the unpleasantries. He still wasn't sure how these Halloweeners felt about his kind. But...
Casually, he approached her, head canting slightly, "Hey. You alright?" he asked smoothly, composed, and just loud enough for only her to hear.

Sludge knew he should be visiting booths before they all closed, but upon seeing another student just standing there he couldn't help himself. He crept up behind him, tail held out to keep his balance, then went to jump at the boil. He wasn't going to hurt him of course. Just scare the ever-loving s**t out of him.

Lock didn't scream or cry, but he did panic.
He immediately summoned two dagger-like stripes of shadow and slashed backwards at his attempted assassination. When he spun, he found it was just another student.
He then let out an aggressive, "Tch," like a dumb anime character, and began walking away.

Sludge immediately backed away when he saw the two dagger shadows that were slashed his way, barely managing to not get hurt. He then watched the boil way away while uttering something weird. ..."Tch" Somehow, Sludge was able to mimic this, and as he approached the booming minotaur he repeated it again. "Tch". He didn't know what it meant, but it sounded kinda cool. He then shouted it at the retreating lock. Lou was startled that anyone had taken notice of her. She blushed and stammered out a reply. " Yes, I think so, I mean. . . yes." She fluttered nervously and took a deep breath as she tried to compose herself. The boy didn't exactly look friendly, but he'd taken the time to check on her, so she didn't think he was a threat either. Working up all her nerve she stopped looking at her feet and looked him in the eye. " I was thinking about having my fortune read, wouldyouliketocomewithme?" She frowned, that last bit came out a jumbled mess, how had that happened. She took another deep breath and willed herself to slow down. " Would you like to get your fortune read with me?" She repeated, motioning toward the booth. " All you have to do is pick a card, and Harufee will tell you what it means."

Shadow walked up the fortune booth to get her reading for the day.
"OH. HARUFFE SEE THAT YOU WILL BE TORN TO PIECES. BUT THAT OKAY! IT MEANS YOU ARE EASY TO PUT BACK TOGETHER, LIKE GIANT PUZZLE."
"What, but thats the same fortune I got yesterday!"

Most of the booths had been closed, including her own, but a few remained open. Humming gently to herself, the reaper combed her hair idly. A few students, here or there, were trying to gain a last minute ticket. She wouldn't really blame them. It had been a hectic time. Fortune Telling... She had luck there before, and divination interested her greatly. Smiling, she approached the booth and looked around to see if anyone was there.

A meek-seeming dryad crept up to the fortune-telling booth and stroked her long hair between her fingers as she tried to understand what was going on. She couldn't understand the minotaur too well from her distance, but she was reluctant to get very close. Was this booth still open? Sighing, she reminded herself that this was what she got for finally managing to convince her shy self to attend the carnival this late. Everything was already closing up!
"Um...excuse me," she whispered to a ghoul nearby. She looked nice enough and she was smiling. "Do you, uh...know what we're supposed to do here? If it's not closed yet, that is."

Hmm? Ah, a dryad. A ghoul one as well. Lucretia had stiffened, bringing back that icy resolve, but relaxed when the meek little thing started to talk, "I'm sure it's open." It hadn't been closed, at least. "It's a fortune telling booth. Have you never had your fortune tole?" Arching one of her brows, the reaper decided that they were running out of time. Taking the dryad by the hand, she marched confidently forward to where the minotaur sat. "Draw a card and she will interpret it to how your future will play out. It's very simple."

"That's a - a 'she'?" It was still tough for the tree nymph to get a hang of the difference between ghouls and boils, but she supposed it didn't really matter in this case. And if it did, someone was sure to let her know soon. That's how it usually went. For now, though, she would have to take this other student's word for it.
The student herself - what was she? Perhaps a reaper, since she seemed so...human? - kind of scared Catreena as she spoke. Maybe she hadn't been the best person to try to talk to after all. Did she not like dryads? Or maybe it was something about Catreena herself she didn't like...?
"Um, n-no," she stammered in reply before she was whisked forward by a sudden tug on her hand. "Eep!" She yelped in surprise, almost rooting herself to the spot as a tree, before realizing the reaper was only trying to get them closer to the booth. It was a pretty forward gesture for someone she had just met, but...hadn't she seen this ghoul at one of the other booths before?
She hardly had time to think about it before she was being told to pick a card. Nervously glancing between the minotaur and the reaper, she absently did as she was told, swallowing a huge lump that had formed in her throat.

It appeared the other ghoul was a little taken back by Lucretia being so... abrupt. Well, most were. It didn't seem to phase the reaper, who watched blandly as she drew a card. "That was the one I had before too. A good pick." She finally let go of poor Catreena's hand and took one of herself. Hmm? The card had an odd figure on the front of it. Haruffe apparently didn't know the meaning. What the hell. Sighing, Luca slid it back into the pile. At least she got a ticket from it. Slipping it into her pocket, she smiled at Catreena. "This is sort of a dumbed down process of fortune telling. If you're interested, I could give you a true fortune." Philomena was itching to come out to play. marushii ticket and the minis for interaction! SN: Magician Arcana
