Jesse looked up at Malachi as he spoke and suddenly his face turned red. "No no no, you have it all wrong. Nothing happened, we just watched movies and fell asleep, that's all! I didn't-she just-we haven't-" Unable to actually form a sentence, he closed his mouth and shook his head. How embarrassing! He didn't even do anything like that and already he was being acknowledged for it. He had to admit, he didn't mind the idea of it, but out of respect for Chloe, he couldn't let Malachi believe something had happened that hadn't, though he himself would have rather quite enjoyed. He let it go as Malachi went on, asking about Raze and needing his help. Typical Malachi visit. Great. Jesse turned his eyes to his mug and sighed pinching the bridge of his nose. "As far as I know, nothing has changed with Raze. If it has, even I have yet to be informed. Yes I can fix Cahleen's heater, and I will try to get around to doing Piper's tightrope. Anything else?" Jesse asked rather hating how his morning was turning out.
First, his morning, that was set up to be glorious, was ruined by Malachi's showing up and Chloe's having to leave. Then he was asked to do favors for his two least favorite people in the entire Cirque. Now that Cassie was gone, Cathy took her place, but no one could rank above how much contempt he held for Piper. After what had happened between them, something inside of him wanted to rip her to pieces. The mention of her name alone irritated him, and he couldn't understand why he harbored this much hate. He promised to keep Malachi informed, before allowing him to exit, and heading to the showers. He returned to his caravan and dressed in his 'time to do everyone's b***h work today' outfit, pulling his heavier winter coat on over his long sleeve. Just before he left, Chloe was there knocking on his door. Assuming it was Malachi with more work he turned around with an irritated glare before he was being hugged by Chloe.
He shook off the irritation and hugged her back, returning her kiss with one of his own on her forehead. Listening to her words he nodded. "Oh, okay well if you could do me a favor and go tell Malachi about all this then I would really appreciate it. He has me working today and I have my hands full. Maybe we can plan some kind of Christmas slash Welcome Back party or something. We will have to discuss it later though, I have to go. I'll see you later for lunch maybe, if not dinner." Jesse thanked her and kissed her on the cheek before turning and heading out, obviously irritated about having to work. When he arrived at Cathy's and she let him in, he took as much time with it as possible, moving rather slowly, and dawdling as best he could. He didn't want to go fix anything for Piper or her terrible brothers and he was doing his very best not to do it. When Cathy noticed he wasn't working at his usual skill level, he sighed and decided to spill. "Oh nothing, I just have this job to do for Piper Harries after I finish here and I would much rather not, and say I did. I mean, what do I care if her stage crap isn't up to par? That isn't my responsibility, especially when she decided dirt was more deserving of her attention than me. All I tried to do was be nice to her and she couldn't even acknowledge that. Screw her. I am not doing it. Raze is back now so whatever Malachi says is nothing but chin music. I'm not helping her. She can tighten her own damn rope." Shaking his head, he stood up and flipped on the switch and waited while her heater kicked on. OOC:

ϻalachi ʐachary ɠryphon Kai chuckled some as Jesse tripped over his words while trying to explain what had gone on the night before with him and Chloe. The magician wasn't sure if he wanted to believe it or not, not that it mattered if they did sleep together or not; that was their own private decision and none of his business. People had their needs and he was no different. It wasn't as if he could talk - he'd slept with his fair share of ladies from the cirque. He shook it from his mind as Jesse gave him the update, or lack there of, on Raze, sighing a bit and pinching the bridge of his nose as well. It wasn't as though he'd expected a different answer, but he had been hoping, as always, for one. He nodded in thanks when the man said he could fix Cathy's heater and Piper's tightrope, and thought for a moment when asked if there was anything else. Shaking his head, he smiled and stood from the table, finishing his coffee before setting the mug down on the table again. "Thank you Jesse. If you don't get to Piper's tightrope, it shouldn't be a problem. It isn't as though we'll be opening today..." He seemed rather bummed that they wouldn't be opening the gates today. Half smiling he bowed his head to Jesse, thanking him for the coffee again before exiting his caravan.
The magician made his way back to his own caravan, having a smoke as he walked, beginning to wonder if Kale was going to return at all. If they had to continue to keep the Cirque closed, then they weren't going to make money enough to hold onto it and that worried him. Stress was beginning to build as he made it back to his door, flicking the cigarette bud away from him as he stepped inside with a sigh. After a couple of moments, he noticed the ringmaster sitting at his table and jumped greatly in surprise. Once he calmed after a moment, a smile came to his face. "Master Raze! You're back! Awake! It's wonderful to see you! How are you feeling? Where have you been?" A dozen questions came to the forefront of his mind and he wanted to ask all of them but tried to avoid bombarding the man with them all at once. "I'm sorry if I've kept you waiting sir. Can I get you anything? Tea? Coffee?" He asked, moving into his kitchen, ready to start what ever it was the ringmaster would want, ecstatic that he had returned.

Ƈathleen Ŋevina Ϣhite Ʈakɛ ɱɛ, Ʈakɛ ɱɛ, Outta hɛrɛ, It ɱakɛs ɱɛ, Fɛɛl so, Fɛɛl so, Na, Na, Na Na, Na Over the course of the seven months that the ringmaster and Cassie were gone, Cathleen had taken it upon herself to take her friends place in a way. She had no one to converse with, seeing as there had been no one else she had tried to make friends with, so she only grew more cold and unforgiving. If the self proclaimed queen wasn't walled up in her caravan, then she was in the main tent working on her acts, keeping up with both the act and getting her exercise from it. Since the ringmaster had laid into her for the mishap in her show, before even touching the straps, she was up in the rigging, making sure that everything was tightened down and secure, not trusting the job to anyone but herself now. Cathy spent a lot of time focusing on her craft. It allowed her to get out of her head and forget the world if only for a moment. Even though there was none, she could sometimes hear the crowd cheering for her, oooing and awwing at her gracefulness, and gasping and screaming at her dangerous tricks. Being up in the air was her escape and her favorite place to be, and at times, if she'd been at it for an exceptionally long time, she'd be in such a good mood that she'd actually be nice to people for the sliver of a second it took her to realize it.
With her heater broken, again, Cathleen woke in a rather bad mood. She huddled the blanket around her tighter and rolled over in her bed trying to get back to sleep. She'd long figured that it was possible Raze would never return, so she had no problem what-so-ever with sleeping in. After a long moment, she decided that she wouldn't be able to get back to sleep and with a growl she pushed herself out of bed and started a kettle of water on the stove. She left it to get dressed in a number of layers - leggings, thick socks, jeans, a cami, a long-sleeve, a t-shirt, followed by a baggy sweatshirt. Somewhat satisfied, she moved back to the stove as the kettle began to whistle and turned it off just as Jesse knocked at her door. Huffing a bit, she glared at the door before moving to answer it, raising a brow at the b***h boy on her porch. "About time you showed up. I'm freezing my a** off in here. Fix it right this time, huh?" She stated in an irritated tone, but not near as irritating as she could have. Cathleen moved so he could come inside, closing the door behind her and moving to pour herself a cup of tea. Turning, she leaned herself against the counter watching as he began to get to work and actually considered offering him a cup before deciding against it.
After a while, she'd made herself comfortable at her table, wrapped up in a blanket. It took another long moment before she noticed that he seemed to be dawdling. Grumbling to herself, she set her mug down, crossing her arms over his chest. "Is there a reason you're taking your sweet a** time getting that done?" She asked, her frustration apparent as her brows furrowed at him. Cathy listened to his explanation and wasn't that impressed by it. So, he was making her suffer the cold because he was throwing a b***h fit? Cathleen rolled her eyes and was about to lay into him until he mentioned that Raze was back. Her brows rose and she thought for a moment, wondering if she'd even heard him correctly. The girl watched as he kicked the heater on and actually smiled when it did though it was quickly gone and she looked at him. "Ringmaster Raze is back? So we'll be opening today? Well, that's the best news I've heard in a long time." Her smile returned some as she relaxed back into her seat, grabbing up her mug and taking a sip of it, her gaze zoning out a bit as she thought about it with a grin. Slowly, she looked back up to Jesse. "If you don't want to fix her s**t, then don't. Maybe her act will fail and Master Raze will kick her and her trouble making brothers out for good." She grinned a bit and pointed to the seat across from her, offering it to him. "You're welcome to hide out here I guess. Would you like some tea?" She asked, moving to stand and refill her own mug. What was this? She was actually being...nice to him? The idea that they could be opening the cirque today had seemed to put her in a rather good mood quickly, and as the caravan began to warm up, it could only get better.

Chloe smiled happily up at Jesse and said, "Lunch may be a little hard. I'll have dinner ready at my caravan. I hope you like chicken noodle soup. I'll got let Malachi know!" She walked out with Jesse before going out to find Malachi. She talked with some of the workers, trying to find Malachi. She got some information and went off to find him. Chloe made her way to Malachi's caravan and knocked on the door before popping her head in, "Malachi! Ringmaster Raze is back, what-" She looked over and saw Kale and Kai talking. She instantly seals her lips and waves, "Never mind, you know. Welcome back sir," She quickly said waving at the both of them. She closed the door with her scarf getting caught. She started to walk away quickly only to be jerked back by the neck, choking herself a bit, dropping in the snow. "Ack!" Quickly getting up, Chloe opened the door, making sure her scarf wasn't caught this time and walked away closing the door again. Chloe made her way to the ticket booth, closing the door behind her and designing the new tickets.

Jesse was leery on accepting the tea from Cathleen but took a seat and accepted it. Why was she being nice to him? He fully expected her to treat him like crap like she always did but why was she just now deciding to be kind? He wanted to turn and flip out on her when she complained, stating that he didn't have to fix it for her at all. He held his tongue and sat with her, looking rather angrily at his tea cup. He looked up as she spoke and nodded. "I doubt we'll open today. Raze is going to need a day or so to get back on his feet I think. I haven't seen him yet but Chloe said that Maggie did. Apparently he is alright but his body is gonna have to get used to moving around again. As for the siblings, they just tick me off. I was nothing but nice to them and they repay me with glares and uptightness. I don't do favors for people to under appreciate it, and treat me like dirt. I won't fix a thing for any of those three and Kai knows that. I think he only asked me to see if I would or not. I showed him I guess."
Hoping he could maybe get the warning across to Cathy, that if she didn't start to lighten up a bit on him, he would stop helping her as well all together. He wan't threatening by any means, but if he did it to them for mistreating and abusing his kindness, why wouldn't he treat her the same? He felt a bit off. His head hurt, and he was starving. He finished his tea, and thanked Cathy for it before leaving her to warm up and bolting to Maggie's. When she allowed him in, he stepped in and squinted a bit. "Maggie, I was hoping you had a second to read me or something. I have this terrible headache, and I feel really hungry all the time." Just then, Jesse's nose began to bleed. He felt it coming and grabbed the bandana from his back pocket, catching the blood and tipping his head back. "This is the third time since I got up today this has happened. It's okay. I just don't know what is wrong with me. Am I sick?" OOC:

❝I will tell you your fortune and the out come... What you do, is you're decision. You control your stars.❞ Magnolia was dusting some of her curtains off from when she kept by Kale for seven months. She hummed to herself happily while dancing around. She was happy that Kale was back and expressed the same feelings she had for him. She heard Jesse and allowed him in. It was odd how he was acting. "Why, yes, Jesse. I can do a reading for you. My apologies for the dust and cobwebs. Take a seat before you fall." When Jesse's nose bled, she looked at him with concern and knew that Kale had to find out what will happen. She had him sit down and she crossed her arms. "Jesse, bleeding from your nose is not normal, especially the third time today and it is only the afternoon. I'll make some chicken dumbling stew to fill your stomach. Hopefully, it'll work. Sit there and don't move. And don't tilt your head back, Jesse. We don't want blood hitting the brain." She tilted his head back in place before leaving. Magnolia walked over to her caravan and made up some chicken dumplings, having Mr. Grimm fetch Kale at Kai's caravan. The cat pawed at the door, yowling for Kale. When Kale got out and the cat lead the way to Maggie's tent, she was already there sitting with Jesse. Magnolia was looking at Jesse, crossing her legs, giving him a whole pot of chicken dumplings.
When she saw Kale, she got up and looked at Jesse, "Excuse me, Jesse." She walked over to Kale and looked up at him, crossing her arms. Magnolia looked up at him and smiled. She kept her voice low enough for only Kale to hear, "Good afternoon, sir. My apologies for starting your day with odd news but Jesse's appetite has grown rather endless and his nose is starting to bleed. Apparently it's the third time it has bled today. Caelius, I already know that his reading that he seeks will only say that he going through these changes. I do not want to break the news to him, sir. It is not my place. Even so, that the beast within will appreciate the loyalty and honesty the master presents. It will grow the loyalty in the beast." She gave Kale a slight worried look as she stood next to him. She thought for a moment and smiled, "Oh, thank you for the flower this morning, It's beautiful."WHEN YOU FUMBLE ALL YOUR BANGLES AND YOUR LOVED ONES HAVE BEEN MANGLED LISTEN TO THE JUNGLE JANGLE OF MY GYPSY TAMBOURINE "May I tell you your fortune, my love?" ϻalachi ʐachary ɠryphon Kai quickly shook his head when the ringmaster suggested that his absence had been inconvenient for him. "No sir, it wasn't at all." He said a little quietly not wanting to interrupt him. When Kale thanked him, Malachi smiled and nodded, bowing a little to him. The man moved to sit at the table with the ringmaster as he stated that he had bad news, raising a brow in curiosity but also in concern. The idea of returning to traveling sounded wonderful to him. Sure, Kai had been excited about the idea of a solid circus home, but his heart was on the road and he loved the traveling part of the job. He smiled a little at the news but the idea of more souls needing to be taken was a little difficult for him. The magician pushed it aside and kept his smile however, nodding to his master before moving to speak as Chloe came through his door. He waved back to her and chuckled a bit to himself as he heard her clumsiness outside.
Once she was gone, he turned his odd eyes back to Kale. "If it is what is to be done, sir, then so it shall be. Going back to traveling doesn't sound half bad to me. I think most of us prefer it actually. However, if we need to get you re-energized then perhaps we should open for a few days and gain you the souls to get you back on your feet again? We can open the doors for the main attraction while the others are packed away for travel? Just a few ideas, none of which need to be considered if you wish to be back on the road Master Raze." He nodded. Kai was more than willing to hand over the reigns of the show back to Kale, but at the same time, he found it somewhat difficult to have gone from running things to giving it up in the blink of an eye.
When the cat came for Kale, he smiled and greeted it, standing to make his goodbye to the ringmaster before going about his own business - deciding to get back to his craft in the main tent since it was open for the time being. It felt like it had been ages since he'd been able to really get into what he was doing. Loving the feeling of the energy that flowed through him.

Kale had much still left to discuss with Malachi, though he found himself interrupted for a second time by Mr. Grimms. He stood up, obviously angered by the interruption and looked back to Malachi before leaving. "If you wish to put on a show tonight, it is fine by me, but I know not how many will come in the dead of winter. You have my permission, but don't include Cassandra. Her soul was the first on the list. Come see me later on so we can work out the details. I am promoting you as my second in command." Kale disappeared then in his cloud of smoke, arriving at Maggie's more than upset. He glared at the both of them before locking his eyes on Maggie. "Magnolia, please, I cannot be distracted today. Not today, and not for awhile. My life hangs on the line as does everyone else's in this mess and it is my responsibility to keep it all safe and I can't do that with being called away from my business every ten seconds. I will talk to Jesse about it when it progresses for now, if you aren't seeing his immediate death, he will be fine. He is a man, not a child. Now please, you know better than to disturb me when I am working."
Kale turned to Jesse and stood him up looking him over. "Alright look, you are going to be fine. Just go and eat till your heart is content and then when you get hungry, do it again alright you are fine. I'll explain what I know later on but for now I need you to eat, then I need you to meet me on the main arena stage." With a final glare to Maggie, he disappeared, off to assist and train Malachi for his new position. OOC:

❝I will tell you your fortune and the out come... What you do, is you're decision. You control your stars.❞ Magnolia nodded in understanding. She panicked though, which was not like her. But Kale did tell her to let him know if something was to happen. Which could have waited, so why did she request him so soon? It didn't make sense to her. She casts her eyes down and nodded, "I'm sorry, sir. It won't happen again." She felt a little bad. Something didn't feel right. When Kale went off to his business, she walked over to Jesse and studied him as he sat there a little confused. She shook her head and rubbed her forehead, "It's nothing, Jesse. A boy your age still goes through growth spurs. Besides, I hear men have an abyss as a stomach. Anyway, let me know when you're hungry again. I have a bigger stew pot but I will have the cauldron cooking something. Kale is right, you're fine. Is there anything in particular you're craving right now? Pardon my behavior, something is a little unbalanced in my stars." She crossed her legs, pondering what was wrong? But what if he was having physical changes? It wouldn't necessarily kill him, it would scar him though. Magnolia looked at Jesse again, "You need to let me know if you feel anything else other than hunger. Such as physical changes in your anatomy." Magnolia closed her eyes, feeling a headache coming on. She looked a little irritable and sighed. Something was not right. She opened her eyes, looking in the pot, raising an eyebrow, while looking at him. ϻalachi ʐachary ɠryphon As Kai practiced his tricks, he thought about what the ringmaster had stated about putting on a show. It was true, most would probably not come in the dead of winter. People were getting ready for the holidays and the crowds had stopped coming to see if the Cirque was open a few months ago. They had stragglers from time to time, but in order to gather a crowd big enough to put on a show, they would have needed to advertise the ringmaster's return and their opening for a short time. His mind wandered to other things. He hadn't seen Cassandra for the entirety of Kale's disappearance and he found it curious that the ringmaster had commanded him not to involve her if he were to open. It had been the ringmaster's request that she go to his apartment in France. Kai shook it out of his mind and put out the fire he had ignited with a wave of his hand. Perhaps it was best Cassie was out of the picture now. Him being promoted to second in command would sure boil her blood. He grinned some, thinking about what her reaction could have been, though felt somewhat bad for her that she had found herself on the top of Kale's list. He was pretty sure she harbored feelings for their master and couldn't imagine how that particular meeting would go...
The man moved to sit on the stage, removing his top hat and flipping it in his hands, looking around the empty tent. He truly missed seeing it full of people and of life. Although he'd never been completely fond of his final act, he knew it was necessary. He wondered how many unsuspecting people he would have to pull up on stage every night now and wondered what would be done with the ones on Kale's list. Questions he'd never considered began to float around in his mind, but he pushed them back away. Malachi felt that Kale was a good man, and if what he did allowed him to sustain himself, then he would continue to do it, no questions asked. Sighing a bit, he placed his hat back upon his head and looked up into the rigging, noticing that Jesse had not tightened Piper's rope as he had asked. It hadn't really surprised him, but it was frustrating. Learning to be a leader like Ringmaster Raze was going to take some work for it seemed the people of the cirque didn't enjoy listening to his orders. Kai stood to his feet and glanced over to the ringmaster when he appeared before him again, smiling and bowing as he normally did to greet him. It would never matter what his position was - he respected his master and would show it to him when ever he was around. Straightening up again, he placed his hands in his pockets, his smile holding. "I hope things with Ms. Moon are well?" He asked, noting Kale's irritation. Kai's smile faded a bit, but he decided to leave the subject alone. He never liked to bother the ringmaster with his personal matters, figuring that if he wanted to talk about it, then he would - even though unlikely. "Can I be of service to you, sir?" Malachi asked, curious as to why he'd returned so suddenly, but also wondering if simply their conversation had not been completed.
