Tala gently brushed his hand down the Horzun's nose again, then turned his head towards Rosa as she approached,

"I think I was just lucky..." Tala mused, "It could have gone the other way and torn me to shreds..." He wasn't sure himself how he'd pulled that off, but didn't dismiss the thought he might just have something there...

"We should take some of that grass anyway..." he glanced towards Mya, then back at Rosa, "But I don't think we'll need it..." The next hurdle would be getting on the creature's back, but they would tackle that when the time came...

(lol you're fine ^^ so far you aint done nothing bad -nods-)

Mya nodded, leaving to put the grass in a bag with more for them to take with them. Rosa walked up and smiled nodding softly, gently stroking the Horzun's mane. "That was amazing how you handled it. I am amazed and happy." She said gently, softly smiling. "Do you think we should leave now or in the morning? Or do you think we should let it get more used to us first?" Rosa asked Tala curiously as Meta, the Horzun beast before them, stood still letting them pet him and listened to their words, its ears twitching off and on as it listened to them, at times giving a soft snort but it wasn't in a threatening way or anything of anger.

Mya returned with the bag smiling as she watched them silently, staying back, wondering what they were going to do if they were going to leave now or in the morning or when the sun would start to set she wasn't sure and was curious.

Tala dropped his eyes in thought for a moment, then glanced skyward to search for the sun's position in the sky, "Whatever you feel..." He said eventually, "But we can't be sure if...well..." He realised Mya didn't know that Rosa was trying to evade the Demon King...It could be dangerous to mention that now...

"We'll leave when you're ready..." he returned his gaze to the Horzun, rubbing his hand along its nose again before waiting for her answer...

Rosa was quiet thinking before sighing looking to the sky as well, watching a bird fly overhead for a minute she stared at the clear sky with some white clouds before she'd look to Tala. "We should go as soon as we can to avoid this village being involved. I don't want them to lose any lives here because of me being here." She said softly watching Tala as the Horzun moved closer to Tala, giving a snort as it shook its head but not to attack just in a way to say hurry up as it was getting impatient to know what was going to happen.

She looked at Mya then looked to Tala again nodding and moved over petting the Horzun to try and mount it. It stayed still, slowly lowering its body down so it was laying down with its legs folded under it. Mya ran inside then ran back out with a gray bag packed with supplies and blankets with pillows. "Here you go, I got a bag ready for you. I put in bread and other foods that can last along with blankets and pillows for you both. I didn't see that you bought any." She said quickly holding onto the bag as she watched Rosa sit on the Horzun's back and it allowed her to sit and be on its back, appearing it would allow them to ride it.

"Thank you for your help, Mya." Tala nodded as Rosa decided they should leave whilst they had the chance. "If we come back this way, We'll be sure to look for you."

He glanced up to where Rosa had positioned herself on the Horzun, it was going to be close...

Handing Rosa the bag, he took the reins and climbed up, careful not to dislodge the Princess as he did so...

Checking the height of the sun in the sky against a small compass he'd acquired, Tala gave a final nod to Mya, ensuring Rosa was secure/comfortable before flicking the reins.

The Horzun reared up, then shot off towards the horizon. Tala hadn't expected it to move so fast, but gripped the reins before glancing back to make sure Rosa was ok...

Rosa yelped as she also held onto Tala, sitting behind him, having the bag between them. Mya waved nodding. "Good luck on your travel." She said as she watched Rosa and Tala leave. Rosa held onto to Tala as they went, the Horzun very quick indeed which had shocked her. The Horzun Meta ran quickly, going the way they wanted him to, racing fast along the path.

"Wow I can't believe how fast he is." She said watching him, not letting go either of him to stay on as she got used to the speed the beast was going.

Tala tensed as she gripped him tightly, but forced himself to focus on their direction. He was quite surprised it seemed to know what direction they were headed in, but then again, as long as they were travelling away from the pass, and the village, then it didn't matter too much to him...

"At this pace, we'll reach the plains by nightfall." He said, still somewhat bracing himself against the wind as it rushed past them, "We should find somewhere to rest when we arrive...then plan on where we're going next..."

Rosa nodded resting her head against Tala's back closing her eyes. "Right, well after we get some rest then we'll look at those maps and figure out where to go from here." She said nodding softly before moving in closer to him. "Thank you Tala, for not abandoning me when the Demon King's not after you." She said softly, sounding grateful for his company and not fleeing because of what happened to the mage she still mourned inside for, blaming herself in her mind for the cause of the attack that resulted in what had transpired.

The feeling of someone leaning against him was strange...It wasn't unpleasant...but he didn't really like it...although he knew he wouldn't be able to shift her without causing some upset, so he put up with it...

"The Demon King..." Tala frowned, "It's alright...I guess...Its what Caran would have wanted anyway..." once again, he never intended to come across cold, but couldn't help slipping back into his old self now the Old Mage wasn't around to curb him...

They rode for maybe an hour before reaching a peak that overlooked the plains... Tala dismounted first, keeping hold of the reins whilst offering Rosa a hand down, then, he turned to glance around the place.

He'd chosen to stop as he'd spotted a small cave a short distance away. This would provide shelter, whilst at the same time, the small forest that bordered it offered them some cover for their fire.

Taking a rope from his pack, he attached this to the reins before tying it up somewhere close to the cave - this allowed the Horzun to wander, but kept it close enough that they could escape if needed.

"I'm going to go hunting." he said once the beast was secured, "It's up to you what you do...but we need firewood." He checked his daggers before dipping a hand into his pack for things he could use to make snares and lures for prey.

Rosa dismounted with his help nodding. "I'll get the firewood for us. I'll get the firewood set up near the cave so we can have it nearby to watch over it." She said before moving off to collect wood after going through the bag Mya had packed to find a short dagger in one side pocket and put it in her pocket in its sheath before heading around to collect dry wood for a fire.

The Horzun stood still watching them then began to walk around some from where it was tied and began to graze on the grass, its ears twitching as it listened to the sounds around them for any danger. Rosa began picking up sticks that had fallen along with thicker sticks and small logs, taking them over to put them down by the cave and returned to the forest edges to get more after she'd empty her arms to make sure they wouldn't run low on wood for the fire.

Wasting little time, Tala set off locating the small nearby stream which they had passed on their way up. It was here he set up a handful of lures with the intention of catching any fish that might reside there.

He then headed for the undergrowth, searching out small trails used by the minor of creatures and set up several snares before going in search of larger prey.

Having grown up alone, he had learnt how to hunt from an early age - this became useful to him now as he was able to track down the trail of one of the forest inhabitants, stalking it to a nearby clearing...

Rosa would get a good stock of firewood by the cave, placing rocks into a circle, placing some logs up at and angle then began to get the fire going, making sure it wasn't to where it'd be easy to spot and attract attention. Once lit she fed it a few small twigs to help feed it with dry dead leaves. When it was going she sighed smiling holding her hands out gently to the flames that crackled as it settled in with the wood it was burning up. She stood looking to the Horzun that had finished grazing and laid down to rest, eyes closed but ears always alert and listening around for anything of danger. She smiled and looked at the sky then towards the woods before standing up and walking around some, staying near the fire.

"It's so nice here. It's quiet. I can't believe all this exists outside the Ice Lands." She whispered softly smiling gently as she walked about, her hands folded gently behind her. The sights, smells, sounds of things here was exciting to her as she had not been allowed out of the Ice Lands before till the Demon King had taken over and she fled.

Everything was going to plan, the deer was within reach...So close he could almost reach out and touch it...until.

A loud crack of thunder set the ungulate on alert and its head shot up, glancing around before bolting...

Cursing his bad luck Tala glanced up at the sky, tilting his head as there was not a cloud to be seen... Naturally he'd investigate, but knew it was best to turn back and check the traps...

Having been just over an hour or so, he was lucky to discover one of the snares and two lures had snagged something... Dispatching the animals quickly he took up his traps before heading back to camp.

Rosa at the camp in hearing the thunder jumped giving a small scream looking up at the sky quickly for any storm clouds but seen none, bringing confusion to her face. Meta stood looking around snorting and a odd noise from the Horzun's throat came as he was standing and stomping his front foot hard, snorting and glaring looking around, his mane and tail was spiked out and sharp. Rosa looked towards the woods, wondering where Tala was, wrapping her arms around herself and moved back, moving towards the cave looking at the Horzun worried.

"What's wrong Meta? You okay?" She asked worried, looking around the area again, getting goosebumps on her arms and a chill down her spine, nervous of what caused the loud boom that came through the air yet there was no clouds to be seen that could have caused it. "Wonder where Tala is. Hope he's okay." She said softly aloud to herself and Meta who was snorting, body tense and the barbs of his mane and tail were ready to be used as a weapon.

Keeping a reasonably swift pace, Tala made it to the perimeter of camp, his retrieved prey close to hand...

Carefully he cast a glance around the area, Meta didn't look too happy and he wondered if it was because of the thunder...

Drawing the Horzun's attention first he stepped into the clearing, glancing around for Rosa before approaching the beast and petting it in the hopes it would calm...

Meta still appeared on edge, but he spotted Rosa and made his way over.

"Are you alright...?" he couldn't explain where the sound had come from, but everyone looked concerned...
