”If you thought Hell was frightening….”

*Kinetav's arm swiftly fell along with the card, scooping up the black item and flipping it around in his own hand; Krayth's own look of uncertainty and attitude towards the card which could have vital information about his enemy made Kinetav question his own resolve. He mind spun around as he began to just think of the day's events, the falling into this strange planet, the meeting of Srin, the sending to the Desert, the Legion, Krayth, wilders...his heart began to harden again...

The Legion...it was their presence that did this to me...made me captive, and if it wasn't for Krayth being Voidsworn then i'd be dead...it's only right for me to know...I am INNOCENT.

The last thought paused all of Kinetav's activity, thinking of the word innocent...the souls in his Exodus of men who merely obeyed orders against him, and that's when it hit Kinetav...the Guardian inside that cage was nothing less than an innocent, following orders to protect an unknown person all the way to a environment that the Guardian knew hated his kind. Just like Kinetav's Edge, this black card belonged to one person and one person alone...the Guardian, and Kinetav had no right to it. He knew that innocents must be protected as long as it can be helped, the people who fell by his blade and the souls whose memories flashed in his mind showed a necessity of life as back in his old planet it was a matter of survival....but not here.

His life had been flipped around, and the words he had said earlier against the Legion were true...and yet he realized that he wasn't viewing the whole picture again. He needed more information, but this was not the way, and the Anima knew it. Opening up a pouch on his belt, he placed the black card inside along with the computer chip and sealed it shut. He knew that he would return with the legionaires, the very men whose duty was to protect him...and he realized that each of them in turn were innocent and deserved to go home from this desert. He remembered Liliana's words again, and there was only one way that Kinetav knew of when it came to protecting innocents...and that was to become stronger so that the threats could be destroyed. He gave a single, silent nod to Krayth and formed in line alongside Blood, awaiting teaching as he resilenced the souls trapped in his Edge and silenced his heart. He might not know where his loyalty when it came to factions lay, but he knew that it rested with four things for sure: the Voidsworn, the Void itself, the innocent, and the just.

The Guardian quietly lays against the wall of his cage... his eyes slowly shift around the room infront of him. All this... how they got in... the treatment and their warriors were all being taken in to note. He was a cidatel man and Legion commander, his king was the man he would inform all this two... He was marshall... the man who made him Guardian... he owed his life to the man... But this student... this student slept tonight in a bed, with these people calling him friend. He had planned to get close to that tonight... But it didnt matter anymore... His wife and child would be there torromorrow... he could rest easy...

Blood sighed as she looked towards a tribesman who was shifting his way through the crowd, she focused her energy and, using her soul sense, followed the mans trail with her eyes, even going so far as to see where he was previously. She smiled at this seeing as she could use it to track her targets much better than before. Blood sighed though as she stopped tracking the man, choosing to continue on to the last technique.
[ Track learned]

Blood then used some energy in her feet and walked around in a circle for a minute. At first she could hear her footsteps, but after a while they became silent. Before long Blood was standing back beside Kinetav in front of Krayth waiting for more training. She had just mastered two skills, and was wanting more, especially since she wanted to grow ever more stronger.

Hearing the Seer's voice in her head once again, Areth collected some confidence. As soon as she gained more knowledge that she would have to train with, the woman turned to face the wall once again, and began further training. There were five skills that the woman had to learn, and she felt a sense of need to train in them now, and not put them off. She had been weak for far too long, and would need to gain the strength necessary to live properly.

Soul Sense was the first of the skills Areth would have to learn. She took the information gained from the Seer, and processed it in her mind. This was something the woman could do passively, and would have to learn to harness that ability. Areth stilled her breath to a calm pace, and reached out around her with her mind and soul. Information began to come to her, information of those around her. She could see Liliana was a Sage, Krayth a Master. She could see the colour dancing around each individual as she looked at them in turn. Goodness, it was a lot to take in at first, but what a wonderful skill this was.

The next skill Areth chose to learn was Move Silently. Dropping her body to lower stance, the woman began to plant her feet surely and quietly, though not yet silently. Moving around, the barest of noises could still be heard from her. With a small curse under her breath, the woman concentrated on shifting her weight from her heel to her foot's ball. This allowed the sounds to be stifled to the most miniscule of volumes, and made her steps seemingly silent. As she moved forward silently, the woman managed a small smile.

Moving her way up to the wall, still practicing to move silently, Areth stood as she reached her destination. She had made her way to the part of the wall she had caused damage to before, feeling it best to use the same spot and reduce wall damage. Precision Strike was the third of the five skills the woman wished to learn, and she would practice it here. There appeared to be a small crack along the wall, and a pebble hung gently within it. Digging a stone from the ground into her wrist, Areth created a dagger. Aiming into the crack, precisely above the pebble, she struck with the dagger. As her hand flew back, the pebble flew out with it, yet the crack remained as it was otherwise. The woman turned gleefully, and walked back to where she began earlier.

Areth decided to learn Soul Mark next, and threw herself at the learning process immediately. Looking around, the woman decided to mark Krayth, as doing so may prove to be advantageous for her in the future. She concentrated on his soul, distorted though it seemed, and began the process of marking the man. The woman was well aware that it took a while to mark someone, but she could feel the skill working, and would only need a bit more to mark him.

Areth continued her careful observation of Krayth, hoping to finish marking him soon. It was as she was watching him that she began to notice his features. He was strong, yet lean enough to be handsome. She could sense a great strength from him, as well as a large pride. What an interesting lord he might be. As her mind slowly wandered, she could feel the mark being finished, and her mind snapped back into real time. Shaking her head, the woman could feel the mark on Krayth, and was happy that she had succeeded.

All that was left to learn was to Track an opponent. Areth felt it would be easier to choose Krayth once again as her target, as she had already been examining him for the mark she laid. Concentrating on the man once again, she began to hear him easier, and smell his being. She could see him as if he was clearer, and it was almost as if she could taste him. Almost. Feeling as if this was a bit weird, and thinking that he might feel her doing as she was, Areth cut off the skill. She knew that it would become useful, but did not wish to continue as she was at the moment.

Feeling drained, Areth sat herself on the floor. As the Seer had heard her thoughts before, she felt that she needn't talk at this time, and instead chose to rest her voice. Well, that was taxing. Anything else?

Liliana shook her head, smiling all the same. "Rest for now. Your lord will give you a test when you're ready to take it," she said. "You've learned all you can for now. And quite admirably, I might add." Her smile became a little sad. When had she last been able to train students in her own nation? They came and vanished so quickly now. As though they didn't wish to use their gifts to help Ernya anymore. "But rest will give you the strength you need for whatever test you're given."

With Kinetav and Blood close, Krayth raised his hands and shut his eyes. He pressed his palms against their backs, and their vision was plunged into darkness. As the passed into The Void, they both would feel its familiarity, and its familiarity with them. In their minds a voice deep as the reaches of space spoke to them in words they could not understand, yet knowledge flowed through them. Knowledge they realized they held all along, in some hidden part of their mind. The door unlocked, and as they found themselves propelled back into the Andalusian Arena it felt as though many hours had passed. Their muscles knew the familiarity of the motions. Their minds knew the depths of The Dark.

Feral Leap
RANK: D
SKILL TYPE: Single Attack
A Dark Avenger is most lethal their instincts thrust them at their enemies. When behind his enemy, a Dark Avenger can make a running leap to strike with their weapon and knock their pray off their feet. If the Dark Avenger's strike hits, their foe is knocked prone. A prone foe requires one post to stand upright through non-magical means. This skill has a three post cooldown.

Skill Name: Feint
Skill Rank: D
Description: A Dark Avenger begins a seemingly direct attack towards their target, but feints at the last moment leaving their target vulnerable and open to attack. A feint begins as a normal attack. If the target of the feint attempts to block, counter or otherwise interact with the Dark Avenger's attack, the Dark Avenger's following post initiates the feint and strike. Targets that are effectively deceived by a feint attack receive a circumstantial -3 penalty to their Speed for all attempts to Dodge or Block any incoming attacks during their next post. This skill has a three post cooldown.

Glimpse into Darkness
RANK: D
SKILL TYPE: Active
While a Dark Avenger cannot manipulate darkness until he is an Adept, the divorce of his soul from Light makes his true home the Shadow World. A Dark Avenger can see into the Material plane's dark parallel through any shadow at any time. While he gazes upon the Dark Plane, he cannot attack nor can he be attacked as his body becomes intangible. While using Glimpse into Darkness, a Dark Avenger can see any creatures hiding in shadows through normal or magical means. He can also see creatures that exist on The Dark Plane and their position in regards to the Material Plane. Glimpse into Darkness can be sustained for up to 3 posts, and has no cool down. Using this skill out of cowardice (to avoid battle, escape a target etc.) is seen as treachery by the Shadow Plane, and results in the Dark Avenger being temporarily blinded for 10 posts. Glimpse into Darkness has a two post cooldown.

Shadow Step
RANK: D
SKILL TYPE: Useable Ability
The first true power a Dark Avenger attains from its pact with the Dark Plane is also one of their most versatile. Having shunned Light from their lives, a Dark Avenger may pass freely between the Material Plane and the Shadow World by simply stepping into a shadow or dark area. While using Shadow Step, a Dark Avenger travels great distances, and has the ability to take others, willing or otherwise, along for the ride by maintaining physical contact with them. Past a single passenger, every additional traveler costs an additional 50 energy, as does taking a creature against their will. Beings of higher rank than the Dark Avenger cannot be taken against their will via Shadow Step.

Krayth removed his hands from their backs and walked in front of them. He lifted one arm, and from the ground grew the shaded silhouettes of two men who never existed. Their form took shape and definition, and as they became solid the Desert Lord spoke.

"Show me what you have learned."

The dark shapes were as still as mannequins, perpetually poised to block incoming attacks.

”If you thought Hell was frightening….”

*As Kinetav stood there, his breathing just now returned to normal from his heightened emotional state, he felt the hand of Krayth upon his back and his mind was tossed into a state of meditation; his mind naturally remembering moves as if they had always been there, a resolve hardening as physical skills were known to him at last. A means by which he could protect that which he had devoted himself to and just by mentally viewing the images in his head, a gleam of thirst for warfare entered his eyes as the hand was removed. His eyelids popped open, and saw before him two shadowy men who the Anima knew would offer no major repercussions as to people hunting Kinetav down, even if they were torn to shreds; the command of Krayth only spurred on his thirst for battle as the Anima grinned wickedly as he drew his Exodus, almost as if the thrill of the hunt was overwhelming. His steel-grey eyes turned red as he fully gave into his Anima rage, flipping the Exodus in his hand in a circular motion as the black circle grew in radius as the Edge turned into a sword.

(1/1)Kinetav rushed forward, throwing a hard attack from the right side into the stationary weapon of the shadow. Feeling the sheer hardness of the blade, even though it was but transmuted shadow, Kinetav bounced Edge quickly off of the blade and went towards the shadow's neck. Edge rejoiced as the feint attack worked perfectly, the blade cutting through the mannequin's neck and the head falling to the ground as the forward momentum of the initial rush caused the Anima to bend over and slip underneath the stationary arm and weapon of the shadow.

(1/1) Now at the shadow's back, Kinetav grinned as he ran back towards the target. As he began to charge, he drew back his right arm over the left, tensing up the muscles as the blade was now pointed down and left of the Anima. Silently and deadly, the Dark Avenger threw all of his momentum into the attack, converting all of the motion directly behind the target into a powerful backhanded uppercut; the mannequin flew upwards and forwards, falling into a prone position with a nice slash visible in the back.

Kinetav's eyes returned to their normal color, the Dark Avenger breathing somewhat heavier as he looked back at Blood and Krayth... the Anima had enjoyed that a little too much, and was almost certain that he had shown that he was not yet able to control the bloodlust within himself. None-the-less, the training was complete as he chuckled and asked:*

"Phew....well, so far so good, Krayth?"

Blood gave a small gasp as they returned back to where they had started. Seeing into the Void like that always made her feel tense, but that time it unlocked knowledge that she never knew she had. When Krayth asked her to display that knowledge Blood gave a wicked smile as she looked towards the silhouette of a man that was her target.

Blood rushed forward towards her target, and as soon as she was close enough she went for a punch towards its face. But while it moved to block her she suddenly extended her hidden blade and plunged it into the things stomach area. The thing had taken the feint attack, and obviously lost.
[Feint attack learned]

Blood quickly removed her blade from the things stomach spinning around it so that she faced its back. She then moved forward, and in two steps she jumped towards the things back knocking it down while plunging her blade into its neck area. She then walked off of the thing and watched as it just laid there prone.
[Feral leap learned]

For this next one Blood turned away from everyone and looked towards the floor. She felt her vision blur for a second as she looked at her own dark shadow. Within a moment Blood was staring into the material plane. She could see the creatures within it as well, this at first made her a little sick, but then she grew used to it. She eventually looked away canceling the skill.
[Glimpse into Darkness learned]

For the last skill Blood went over towards a wall and felt herself suddenly slip into the walls shadow. She felt lost for a moment in the darkness, but after a moment or two of standing in the pitch black, she finally got her sense of direction back. So within a few moments she appeared beside Krayth, almost like she never left his side. "All done Lord Krayth... whats next?" Blood asked him as she stood there waiting.

The Void Lord watch the duo work in silence. noting how their muscles twisted and flexed and the way their feet hit the floor. Their footing was solid; their strikes even more so. When they'd completed their tasks, the black figures snapped out of focus, melting back into the perforations of the floor and the swaying light of the air. "Good, Blood. Good, Kinetav. You learn quickly. Nox'Sala, this time is now your own.Do as you wish."

In the distance, Gerdane and the guards with him had completed their search of the other Legionaires. Their suits of armor gathered into a pile, the scar faced wilder supervised the other tribesmen as they took the articles and departed from the Arena. Krayth shifted his attention to the other Anima. "What do you intend to do, Kinetav?" His gaze turned to the seated Areth, and his boots moved to meet her. When the distance was closed, his free hand extended out to the girl. The freshened torchlight did little to shed light on his expression. He did not speak to her just yet. He studied her, the temperance of her soul, and decided whether she was ready.

”If you thought Hell was frightening….”

*Kinetav sighed, his head dropping towards the ground and his eyes darting around; he had not truly faced this decision ultimately, despite his somewhat hardened resolve to go back. He knew that the ultimate bond was to the Void, and that his brother was here...but none-the-less, the men deserved to go home and that meant that Srin Azio would wonder where he was as well. Kinetav witnessed the people begin to funnel out of the arena, the Legionaires still trapped in their cages while he roamed freely, and the wilders returning to a peaceful night of rest with Sephra murdered. He walked alongside the Void Lord towards Areth, scratching the back of his head as he simply and softly mused what was on his mind:*

"Well... I feel like I am being called back to the Citadel with those men soon. They deserve to go home, and just as they followed me into the heart of hostile territory...I should probably follow them. They deserve to go home, considering that their job was to protect a student who just earlier today was teleported into this world and who they just met, and they followed it to the letter...Whether that is courage, loyalty to their Lord, or plain stupidity, I can not tell. I suspect that Srin Azio will be expecting me, I mean I know I left only earlier today but those dragonflies are fast. But....even though currently I am called back to the Citadel in order to gain more information, check in, and allow these innocent men to be safe....I hope to be allowed to return to the Devil's Eye Desert for training or just to speak with you and my other Voidsworn brethren again. There's still too much uncertainty, save for this one thing...this "Legion" faction won't be marking me anytime soon. I intend on speaking to their Leader, whoever it is, and giving the man a piece of my mind."

*Kinetav stopped for a second, and paused; his story was incomplete, but Krayth might just know the answers he sought as his vizor turned to look the Void Lord in the eyes:*

"...but all my personal feelings aside... my own opinion can be faulty, my judgement impaired, because to be honest...I don't even know the name of the planet upon which I stand. Where am I, Krayth? What's been going on? Who or what is this Legion? Is there anything you can tell me to aid my decision?"

Krayth remained, hand held out to Areth, until the level of Kinetav's ignorance truly dawn on him. Then it dropped, settling limp at his hip as he turned to look at this creature that was like some reflection of him. To really look at him was hard, but the Void Lord's life had never been easy in any of it's years... only the last had brought love and ease. Now, that too was gone. His heart smoldered in his chest, melting his flesh and leaving bones hard as steel but bent from the weight of so much suffering. Krayth could not find the tact to curb his tongue. "You really do not know? Sent by Srin himself, you do not know? He -is- the Leader of The Crimson Legion. He -is- the Demon of Insanity... you... you are like me, how could you not see it in him? How could you be blind to the madness there? How..."

Krayth turned his back to Areth, his gesture of aid forgotten to him. He clenched his jaw, and felt the wrathful fire of his jaw's frayed nerves. Their pain fueled his pain, and reminded him of its cause. Despite all of his grief and weariness, it was rage that sizzled in him. "How long have you been on this earth, Kinetav - a day? Two? Not so long ago, the Lords and Ladies of our world gathered in the nation of Jiaum. We gathered because on a moonless night, there came a nightmare. Azut, our people, every soul alive witnessed the destruction of everything they loved in seas of blood. Everything. We gathered because it was an omen stronger than any before it. Do you know the cause? Grix. GRIX. b*****d of bedlam and madness, the unloved child of a father who died in his Godswar. The Allfather, the one who made all of this and beyond, and carved it from The Void. I... I watched in my nightmare as I sawed off the head of my wife and sliced the eyes form her head. HE MADE ME SEE THESE THINGS! Every man, woman and child on this planet saw these things in the peace of sleep because of him... and when we gathered, it was Srin who said he could speak to this "God..." The God who made me murder my love in my dreams! I demanded his aid in finding Grix, and what did he say. Guess. GUESS KINETAV!"

”If you thought Hell was frightening….”

*Kinetav's eyes widened visibly in his vizor, the sting of the truth beginning to hit him; he knew that a Voidsworn would not lie to him, much less a Voidsworn of the same Master of the Infinite Dark. One of his dark gauntlets reached up from his waist, covering half of his vizor as he closed his eyes and shook his head in disbelief...The one thing that he had actually given to Srin, his trust...speculations began to form through his mind....

Of course....The Guardian, the Legion...The Legion protecting the Citadel....how did I not piece it together before? And the Demon of Insanity...I have to admit, it seemed insane enough to send a student to the Devil's Eye. Was I too trusting in the person who took me in? Is this all part of some scheme in an attempt to manipulate Krayth?

Srin might've known your connection with Krayth, used our race and our class to his advantage....even offering up the lives of his men to do it. And Grix... if he spoke to this being...caused rivers of blood of the innocent... cause blood of the beloved of my Voidsworn to soak the ground...

((Kinetav and Edge's voices collected mentally))...then he forced Leaders and Lords forced to go through pain....This is not right. This is NOT Justice, and this is NOT how to negotiate peacefully... Srin WILL answer our questions, and to the wrongs he has done if this is all true...but we must see if there is yet more to be known!

Edge's words began to resonate within his mind halfway through his thoughts, the twin souls becoming of one voice and mind as the gauntlet left his face and curled into a fist; if Srin could indeed talk to this god that had caused his Voidsworn brother so much pain, then the Leader of the Legion would have a lot more to answer to Kinetav about. His resolve to follow the Guardians back to the Citadel began to shatter, the Edge began to scream in his mind to use that black card in his belt, to see what information he could indeed dig up...his eyes opened back up towards Krayth, the red eyes appearing as if they were ready to cut into anyone's soul as the anger began to consume him and he spoke in a serious, flat voice that had venom in every mentioning of Srin:*

"....No, I don't know what the Demon of Insanity said to you...This....Leader.... who risked a student and six men just to get me to talk to you as a mere student test. This Legion master who sent us to a place where he knew was full of people who hated his faction...Tell me, my brother, what Srin Azio, Lord of the Citadel, Leader of the Legion, Demon of Insanity, told you..."

Areth took silent note of Krayth's acknowledgement of her. Yet, as he made his was to her, going as far as to give her such a gesture, she remained still. She had always thought that if freedom could be attained, she would not dip herself into unnecessary conflicts. Yet here stood a man in front of her, a man who was so controlled by his passion and emotions, and all Areth wanted to do was help him in any way she could.
About to move her hand up to his, the other man incited a rage from Krayth, causing him to turn away. His anger grew, his voice boomed, and his soul began to swirl. Not wanting anything worse to happen, Areth stood and moved herself closer to Krayth, and laid her left hand on his shoulder. With that she reached her right hand around his body, and rested it above his heart, or where it should be. Calmly and slowly, she formed words, letting them slide from her mouth. "A man of your stature should not lose himself so easily. Heed my words my lord, and calm yourself. Please, if not for yourself, then for your kingdom." With that said, Areth let go of the man, and stepped back from where she had been.
