After a few more drinks, Malphas' mood had improved exponentially. He stood up on the table and called out to the man tending the counter.
"Barkeep! Drinks all around, my treat!"
He tossed a few gold coins to the man.

Aoibheann scoffed and chugged her drink down, but she gladly held her drink out as a wench pour the free ale.
"So where do your aligences lie?" she asked suddenly, a secretive smile on her face.

Returning to his seat, Malphas rested his feet up on the table's surface.
"I don't care much for sides. I just do what I need to do to take care of myself. Each side treats me the same anyway, so why should I pick one over the other?"

"So that's why..." Koji gulped another drink down. "Why not just free yourself and run this waterhole here. Wouldn't you be satisfied with that?"

The vampire's eyes widened as he considered the possibilities of running his own tavern, looking at the bartender, his grin widened.
"That is a great idea! Why didn't I think of that?"
Grabbing his drink, he nodded to the woman's statement.
"I haven't died yet, this could be a good place for me."
He downed the beverage, motioning the barkeep for another refill.

Aoibheann downed her drink and stood.
"I best be going. I have a vampire to stalk." she giggled.
She started to leave but called over her shoulder. "If you get this plan of your running smoothly, I'll share a special drink with you to celebrate." she grinned mischievously and left.
All of the sworda that had hung in the air above them dropped to the ground as she shut the door.

"Well...good luck on your ambitions. I'm heading out." Koji gave Malphas a salute and left the tavern. The wind blew through the air and gave Koji a thought. There was no place to go anymore. He disappeared into the darkness, promising he would return soon.

Malphas leaned back in his chair, thinking about what he could do with such an establishment. Not only would he be making money, but he would also have as much as he wanted to drink.

Tsuki leaned farther into the shadows now clearly in a daze. She drank another before looking around actually noticing things in the tavern that she hadnt before

Finally coming to a decision, Malphas stood and approached the bartender.
"My friend, you and I need to have a talk."
Malphas led the man into the back to try striking a deal with the price of the tavern.

Liallia stared into her wine glass, noting that everyone had been giving her a wide berth in the tavern, and her ebony wings rustled quietly. The power, dark, malicious power, that seemed to spread from the castle was a snake in her head, whispering poison. She ran a hand through her hair and sighed. She was still rather ignorant to the whole situation, but she guessed it had stemmed from the Equinoctial celebration. "And who will stand against it?" She murmured to herself before taking a sip.

"Who knows anymore?"
Malphas answered the question as he began wiping down the bar's counter. A wide grin spread across his face as he gestured to the tavern's expanse.
"Well? What do you think? I officially own the place as of tonight. Sure it cost me a bit, but it was worth it."
