|1395| Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taichō"Hold it together. Birds of a feather. Nothing but lies and crooked wings. I have the answer. Spreading the cancer. You are the faith inside me. No, Don't, leave me to die here. Help me survive here, alone. Don't Remember! Remember! Put me to sleep, Evil Angel. Open your wings, Evil Angel. I'm a believer. Nothing could be worse. All these imaginary friends. Hiding betrayal. Driving the nail. Hoping to find a savior. No, don't, leave me to die here. Help me survive here, alone. Don't Surrender! Surrender! Put me to sleep, Evil Angel. Open your wings, Evil Angel. Fly over me, Evil Angel. Why can't I breathe, Evil Angel?" Lee stood in peace watching the city move around them and feeling the calming wind blow through his hair. It was so peaceful that he knew such a thing was not meant to last. Peaceful things were never meant to last for long. Especially not for a Shinigami or Hollow. They were forever destined to continue the dance of death that they had started and never stopped. Sure there were moments when the song ended and they had to pause in the dance but there was always another song. Always another dance. Always another death. It was a depressing thought really but Lee knew it to be true and didn't dwell on it. He had already learned to accept the peaceful calms and knew to cherish every moment with those he cared about. Even if he hadn't been getting many moments to cherish. Sighing for a moment he heard the sound below that signaled others were getting up and the day would officially press forward at an astounding rate. The battle drawing ever closer. The dance waiting to be renewed before more death took place. He had once been told the position of Kido Corps Taicho was meant to be a position of peace. At the time he had believed such foolish declarations but the moment he took the position he learned otherwise. To think there was a peaceful position among them was to believe in fairy tales. Not even Elisia was allowed peace being the Medical Captain. If she didn't have a chance at having a peaceful life who did? No there was no peaceful position in the entire gotei thirteen. However Lee would be more than willing to over exhert himself and let her stay behind if he didn't know she was needed. Even if Yuki could heal just as well the commander would be occupied.
His train of thought continued in the same manner until he heard Eriko speak up behind him drawing him out of his train of thoughts. Or maybe not behind him either way she was nearby and turning towards her he felt the same longing he had felt with Nu. Taking in her appearance he was pleased to see she was as beautiful as ever. Oh and her luscious and beautiful lips that he ached to touch. He ached to close the gap and press his own against hers as he had done on many occasions. It pained him to keep such distance but it would be more painful if she wasn't the one he loved more and he added to her confusion. Even if he could almost feel the ache coming from her own lips wishing for the same thing. It was not meant to be and this was not the time. "Eriko-chan. I am doing well today. Just trying to enjoy what little peace we have left before returning. However I do think I might head back below. Make sure Suzume-fukutaicho is ready." Giving her a kind smile and moving towards the re-entrance to the apartments below he hesitated. It would be rude to leave so quickly. "You are welcome to join me if you like. I would not be opposed to the company." There that ought to suffice and it would give him a chance to further catch up. After all she had not asked him about his choice yet. Though now that he thought back to it he felt bad for leaving like he did with Nu. He would apologize later. He just didn't want to see the disappointment in her face as he told her he had not chose. Moving down the steps Lee honed in on his Lieutenant rather quickly and moved towards her. Then as he got closer he heard Tetsunosuke talking to her about respect without really showing any in Lee's opinion.
Had it been any other Shinigami Lee might have been inclined to let it go and let them handle it. However it was not any other Shinigami and it was most certainly his Lieutenant. Watching Tetsunosuke leave Lee voiced out loud though in a hushed voice just in case Eriko chose to follow. "Excuse me. I think I need to have a word with him." If Eriko had not followed it could easily been taken as him speaking to Tadashi or Suzume. Moving past his Lieutenant without acknowledgment and kept his eyes trained on Tetsunosuke's back until they were outside and out of earshot of the others. They were outside the barrier which made Lee curious how Tetsunosuke would get back in. He was in no mood to let the vizard back in right now. Lee cleared his throat to let Tetsunosuke know he was there before speaking up. "Tetsunosuke Harasawa-Taicho I would appreciate if in the future you held your tongue and treated my Fukutaicho with this respect you are talking about. She is allowed to have her own personal opinion. Though I must say you are not helping your case much by displaying such anger. It makes me wonder if perhaps you are not in the right state of mind for this battle. You would also do well to remember that you were not the only one to lose people in the battle. So don't you dare go thinking otherwise. We as Taicho are supposed to be above getting worked up over something so simple. I myself let my anger get the best of me the night Hibiki-Taicho was turned and we saw how that ended. Or have you learned nothing from our time here? Anger does nobody any good including yourself. She was not insinuating that you have made no sacrifices nor have any of the others. Nor was she saying that she has no respect for them. She was just voicing her natural and understanding apprehension. As much as it pains me to say this. You should take a leaf out of Hei's book and accept being a vizard. Or better yet Hibiki's book. He most certainly didn't volunteer or have any type of warning and you don't see him randomly lashing out at people. Reign in your anger. You think nobody knows what it's like? Your wrong. You don't have to have an inner hollow to know what you are going through."
It was Lee's way of scolding him for speaking to his Lieutenant like that and at the same time trying to get the man to see his life wasn't that bad. Sure he had been forced to undergo hollowification however Lee was inclined to feel more sorry for Hibiki. Not only had the man been forced in a very forceful way yet even afterward Hei had drove him harder than the others. Giving the man one final look of disapproval he turned around and headed back up to the apartment. When he arrived at the edge of his barrier he simply adjusted it for a moment or two to get back in before letting it close back up. He had scolded the man but done so in a way he didn't think would further Tetsunosuke's anger. If anything it should get him to actually sit down and think about things. Hei had basically said he would reverse the hollowification after everything was said in done. Though certainly in a roundabout way. Returning upstairs and back to Suzume and Tadashi and if she was present eriko Lee gave Suzume a stern gaze. "I trust you are ready for things to begin anew Suzume-fukutaicho? How has your training been progressing?" Turning to Tadashi Lee gave him a nod of acknowledgment. "You as well Sakamoto-fukutaicho." While Lee didn't know all that much about Tadashi he had encountered the Lieutenant a few times and none had been pleasant. That did not mean he was going to be rude however. "How is Hibiki-taicho doing? I haven't spoken to him in quite some time." It was a question he was curious about since the captain had been pushed so hard. Then again if it was anything like with Suzume and him Tadashi may not know. Lee certainly hadn't been able to speak much with Suzume. 'You really should fix that Lee-kun. While you don't have to be as close to her as you are to Eriko and Mitsuru you need to establish a better bond.' Lee gave her a small inner sigh that said it was his intention all along.

[600] Mitsuru Naohito ☾Nibantai Taichō ☽
Rest your head now, warrior I won't let them come Slaying all those who oppose To the rhythm of the drums
▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄
Staring up at her friend, she was too tired and satisfied with answering her, instead rubbing against her leg affectionately, before hands started to reach for her underbelly. "Wh-what?!" Her voice, despite her body being so much smaller, retained its original pitch, which did not help it any when it came to the humor of this scene. Being risen into the air, she tried to stay calm, as her head turned, before realizing that it was Yuki that was taking her to the coach. Before she could even imagine why she was being taken there, the answer came to her; in the form of Senka. The girl proceeded to pet her fur gently, which was both pleasing and cute, then continued with a squeal and tight embrace, which was relatively just as cute, but more air constricting.
"S-senka-chan! Be careful with me!"
Her feline form gave her some advantages. She was a small target, and there was practically no hindrance, but at the current time, Mitsuru's life was practically in the child's hands. The child seemed to understand her well enough, being a bit more loose as Mitsuru began to relax in the child's grip. Lying softly on her belly, she watched Elisia with a lazy eye, only raising a brow at Yuki's statement of the two having sex, which promptly led the cat to laugh, an odd sight indeed. "Wow Elisia, don't let us stop you from doing the deed~" With a deep laugh, she closes her eyes once again, Senka's constant petting really soothing the stressed woman in her smaller form. She was fond of playing with Senka in this form, it delighted the girl, and it often gave excuse just to be rubbed in such a way that only that minuscule hand can. Purring solely in pleasure, only her perked ears indicated that she hasn't fully immersed herself in bliss. Seems like Hei was getting ready in his own way, and that was fine. After all, it wasn't as though the Sephira waited on their asses the entire time. They had the same amount of time as them to train and revamp their abilities, but she doubted they would expect a few more vizards to even out the playing field.
Yer former lovers gonna be there y'know, up to the task?
That voice of her hollow, a voice that somehow sounded like it had undergone some sort of vocal editing, spoke in her mind. As a manifestation of her, of course it would have her memories, but she voices them in her own opinion. Sometimes they helped, most of the time not. Not going to rush him are you? Remember, if you die, I die, so I will stop you from being all emotional, got it? With a soft smirk, she could only agree to the monster's wishes. It only cared about self preservation, and that was fine with her. She didn't intend on going for him anyway. No, it was a few Sephira that she wanted to fight, hopefully he has gotten better.......
Instead of festering on the worries that was coursing through her mind, Mitsuru chose this opportunity to attempt to wiggle her way free of the baby's grasp. With the realization that her new playmate was trying to get free, Senka proceeded to hug tighter, trapping the Captain in love. Sighing, he instead thought about what Senka will be like older. She will most like take after Yuki's beauty, perhaps go into the science field like her sister and father? With a soft chuckle, she supposed, if she lived that long, that she could teach the girl how to change into an animal, though she wondered if there would be any repercussions in teaching a young person such a move.

676 12TH DIVISION
Hakase Hei ◆◆◆◆◆ Hakase Tsukiko After somehow having her leading role switched so that she was the one being dragged down to the lobby, Tsukiko pulled her hand free from Elisia's grasp as she loosened her grip. Quickly settling into being able to properly stand upright, which had been hard while being tugged along at an unnatural pace, Tsukiko adjusted her clothes and hair and stood idly as everyone spoke. After Yuki brought up the fact that they should have still been in bed with each other, Tsukiko's cheeks turned a light shade of red- almost pink- and she turned away slightly to hide her embarrassment from the others that were gathered there. Upon her mother's suggestion, Tsukiko nodded silently to her while watching Senka out of the corner of her eye, who was holding Nu in a death grip while spewing a fit of giggles at her excitement of holding the kitty. If it had not been for the normal, not-so-pleasant bodily functions of every Shinigami and Human, she would have definitely been 100% adorable. Despite those, she made up for them by being ridiculously cute. It would be enjoyable to take care of her for the day.
Expressing her farewells to Elisia, Yuki, Senka, and Nu, Tsukiko quietly slipped away and made her way towards the stairwell, disappearing inside as she made her way to the second floor, exiting there and traversing the long hall to their room. Once she was at the door, she turned the handle and made it inside and whisked herself towards the storage room where she perused the shelves for Hei's "tools". Earlier, she had already picked up one of his drugs, one that could render an African Elephant completely numb in minutes, but now she was back for more. For a few minutes, she scanned the shelves while plucking multiple corked bottles off the shelves and cradling them in her arms. Once she was done picking out what she knew Hei needed, she left the room, shutting the door behind her, and left their apartment as well, making her way towards Hei's apartment to deliver the poisons and drugs to him so that he could do what he would with them.
------
Hei could only stare in disbelief as Yokozuki droned into a short explanation on what his problem was. He heard it all, but the majority of his issue simply went into one of his ears and poured out of the other. Not only was it eight in the damn morning, but Yokozuki was as annoying as they came- a barbarian in Hei's eyes. Initially he could bring himself to care, and he expressed this very clearly through a stare of indifference that lasted for several painful minutes, and during this time, he gave off an aura that was basically telling Yokozuki to not say a a word while Hei contemplated just how stupid he really was to come to him of all people for a favor. Finally, however, Hei took notice of his unease and the corner of his mouth spread into a small smirk, as his unease was quite amusing to him. He replied with a swift and very rapid shut of his apartment door, right in his face, before he turned away and retrieved the nearly empty bottle from his medicine cabinet, only to return to the door, pry it open and promptly hurl the bottle at his face, then slam the door in his face again. "Damn idiot." Hei muttered while he disappeared into the bathroom and discarded his clothes to step into the shower.
------
As Tsukiko made her way to Hei's apartment, she caught wind of the end of Hei and Yokozuki's confrontation, and arrived just in time to see Hei hurl something at his face. Approaching quietly, Tsukiko cast Yokozuki a small bow before quietly entering their apartment and shutting the door behind her. She could hear that Hei was in the shower, so she chose to set the bottles down on the kitchen table and sat down at it herself while she awaited his return.

xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx【 SUZUME CHIYOKO 】 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxLoneliness hit me suddenly, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxbut it’s only t h e n that I realized, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxafter all that I have ever DREAMED of, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI really don’t like F I G H T I N G ✿✿✿ Suzume had been concentrating on Tadashi, waiting for his answer to her question. It was more curiosity about the Vizard Captains than anything else and she had a feeling that she was becoming a little outspoken, yet she felt a little more comfortable with Tadashi. However, she soon noticed, as well as heard, Tetsunosuke and his sharp lashing out at her about the fact that she should show more respect. Taken aback by his sudden sharpness, she was at first rather surprised before blinking back some hurt expressions. Then again, she should have expected it right? While she could have been taken that way, she hadn’t really expected to have been heard or for someone to react to that in that way. Unable to stop herself from flinching, she stared at Tetsunosuke with a mixture of confusion, anger and some regret. This must be what they mean by one of the Vizards losing control. As soon as that thought pushed through her mind, she brushed it aside. Thoughts like that would not help the situation in the slightest, merely worsen it. Finding herself tongue-tied and unable to speak, she moistened her mouth before fumbling over words, trying to select the comment ones and stammering, “I d-d-d-didn’t m-m-mean any h-h-harm by that and --” Her voice trailed off and she was left with half her sentence dangling in the air as he departed.
Looking at him with wide eyes, she forced back rebellious tears. She was not the weak one, she wouldn’t cry at every single time. That was what she had always told herself and it was something that she couldn’t diverge from right now. Her anger at Tetsunosuke did not subside, instead building up to ridiculous levels, before it started to shift towards anger at herself and her rash tongue as she realized the fact that she was to blame for this as well. Biting her tongue, she tasted blood in her mouth as well as felt the sharp pain, but she did not visibly react to this, instead treating it as punishment for what she had done. There was no doubt that she had not improved at all in terms of not offending people. If she had not been so worked up about what she had just done, she might have even exploded at Tetsunosuke, yet she knew that would not help. Luckily, her rational self was taking more measures now and she would not be so careless the next time. Letting out a long sigh, she brushed away any signs of her tears, but blinked several times as she noticed her Captain, who passed her without actually saying anything. Had he heard everything? The time that she spent waiting for Lee to return, if he would at all, was agony for her but when he did return, he did not seem to even remember the incident, let alone comment on it. Swallowing the anger and despair in one go, she inclined her head in agreement. “Yes, it would be nice for things to begin anew and my training’s been going well so far, I hope. With a bit of luck, I should be able to take on an enemy better than I have before,” she answered, with a certain amount of respect and admiration in her voice.

Tadashi Sakamoto
9th Division Lieutenant Tadashi looked at Suzume with a mixture of pity and surprise. Tetsunosuke's outburst seemed to affect her much differently than how it had affected him. He began to feel angry at the Vizard Captain again - how could he let his emotions get so easily out of control? Suzume hadn't even said anything that offensive, yet the end result of his temporary lapse of fury had left her in tears. Sakamoto was stricken with the urge to say something comforting to her, but didn't want to seem patronizing. So, instead, he just settled with a somewhat pained glance in her direction and murmured," It's not your fault," with a genuine honesty. He did blame Tetsunosuke for letting his weakness in controlling his emotions get in the way.
He then turned to Lee and fixed his face to its standard expression. "My training has been progressing well,Masashi-taicho," he said politely. It was also a lie, since he was constantly upset because he didn't have the same 'privelage' of being occupied by the sort of training the Vizard Captains went through. Instead, he was limited to strenghtening his zanpakuto powers in the meditative trips into his Inner World. Kido practice would be difficult when the building's movable boundaries were limited as they were, and he didn't practice Hakuda apart from basic training. His shunpo was still as polished as ever, though, and he could take solace in that.
Now regarding the question about Hibiki, Tadashi simply told Lee that he hadn't had much contact with Hibiki either. It's not like there were any squad procedures to go through in their place of exodus.

Akane Itsuki, Third Seat of Division Three Riku Ryuu of the Black Mist Mountains Akane had Suzu riding on his back, who had still not gotten dressed for what was ahead. He had seen Tetsunosuke yell daggers at the Lieutenant. He says nothing, but Suzu whispers things in his ears. He nods and walks to the two, letting Suzu rest her head on the top of his. He nods his head which makes Suzu have to lift hers, "Tadashi.. Ms. Chiyoko.." He walks past the two, "You better 'ave eaten those peanut butter sandwiches I made this morning, Tadashi.. you need those for what's ahead." He continues after stopping to make the comment. Strangely enough, Akane was serious about his needing to eat the sandwiches; and stranger, his eyes had been closed since he left his room. He continued on to the staircase and begins to walk up them quickly.
As he arrives, he would realize that one of the Captains were staring off the edge. He can feel Suzu's weight against his head and back, so he knows she is probably asleep -- yet again. Akane walks to Hibiki, "Hello there, Hibiki.. by the way you stand so stoic, I would say you are pondering the choices that were thrust upon yourself?" He looks to Hibiki with still-closed eyes, "I can feel where you're coming from, Hibiki. I know many don't actually know the reality behind my glasses.. but I don't actually need glasses." Akane looks out over the edge, repositioning Suzu as she wraps her arms around him. "The truth is, Hibiki.. I can't see. I haven't been able to see since before I went in the academy. When I found Suzu, she was cornered in an alley-way by some men.. I happened to have been coming from a fight-club, and came upon the scene. I told them to stop, and drew a blade.. they didn't listen, and I yelled to Suzume to run. She ran, and I proceeded to try to stop them from getting at her. In the process, I killed most of the men, but one had smashed a glass bottle over my forhead and nose. With that, I had glass dug in to my eyes, and so I fell back and passed out from the pain -- as I had also been cut and stabbed a couple of times. Suzume came back though, and when she saw me, she put it upon herself to make me healthy again. She had a medical doctor look over my eyes, and they removed the glass, but told Suzume I would never see again. So, I took a pair of glasses, and since then people have just figured me to be poor-sighted -- so, I don't tell anyone I am blind."
Akane looks to Hibiki, "When I lost my vision, I thought that would proove to be the worst thing to ever happen; I then found out that it was one of the best.. because I am blind, I decided to go to the Shinigami Academy for training, in which I passed after training myself to see without eyes. In a way, I am always lookin' at what you could call one's spiritual pressure. Strangely enough, I can see most anything around me. I can even see a spider.. I can mostly only sense unliving objects within a seventy-five yard radius, but I can sense a living being as far as you can probably see -- even through walls and buildings. I still have problems at times, like when I grab for non-living objects I have to feel around to count how many plates there are, and that type of stuff. I know our two problems have nothing in common, but for the fact we both never asked for someone else to change our lives; but look at it this way.. If I never became blind, I would never have met Suzu or any of the Shinigami, and would never be one myself. If you didn't become a Vizard; we could possibly lose the war.. no, we could lose everything. I fear every day what it would be like to lose my Suzume.. we're not in a relationship, but she's always been there. Losing my Suzume would be like you losing your Zanpakuto for me.." He takes a cigarillo from his sash, "So, did my talk help any? Or did I blabber too much for you to notice?" He lights his cigarillo and holds one out to Hibiki; in a way, he thought of Hibiki as someone he could possibly like to get to know -- maybe even grab a drink with him when they win the seige.

Tetsunosuke Harasawa Sixth Division's Captain ◥ Tetsunosuke was sitting at the park bench with his head in his hands which were propped up on his knees. His feet flat on the ground and his eyes covered, he was sitting and thinking about what he had said to Suzume. He didn't regret how he told her how he felt about her distrust. "What's wrong with them?" Tetsunosuke rose back from his position and leaned against the back of the bench. The scenery was shaded by tree with light reaching through the branched and leafs. Tetsunosuke was looking up at the sky, the leafs were changing colors and had a nice look to them. He felt relaxed for a moment, and was able to crack a small smile due to the weather and climate.
"Goodbye Tetsu. You were my greatest friend in all of the Gotei 13."
The voice of Kyoshiro filled his ears and head as his heart leaped in his chest. His eyes shot up with suspense as he jerked his head to look around himself. Nothing, a panting Tetsu wasn't to astounished to see Masashi Lee appearing before him. He knew that the man was readying a lecture for his ears. Tetsunosuke spared him a look as Lee cleared his throat. The man was so formal, and had such arrogance about him. Furrowed brows were the quickest response to Lee's comments about Tetsu's respect. This man was a basic walking contradiction to himself, and he had the audacity to even speak how he felt in front of him. A clenched month Tetsunosuke rose from his bench and held a tight fisted grip. "I don't need the likes of someone like you, Masashi-san, lecturing me about how I should act." Tetsunosuke rose his voice slowly. "You expect me to step down and not stand up for what I hold true in my heart? You're so incapable to standing for your own beliefs; when a man, such as Hei, does something you're against, you resign yourself to cowardice. Masash-san, admit it, you're a weakling when compared to me. I will never stop living for what I stand for and what I believe in." Tetsunosuke's voice was sharp just like before when speaking to Suzume, but he wasn't yelling. A dullness underlined the bottom lids of his eyes, he looked like he hadn't slept when that wasn't the case. "You're a pathetic Shinigami." Tetsu finished as the both of them parted ways. He turned and walked the opposite way of Lee. Tetsunosuke had a scowl on his face as he took steady strides. Each step was taking him further and further from the now unknown apartment location.

1300 Hakase Hei Jūnibantai Taichō "...allow me to show you a fate worse than death." As Hei pulled himself from the shower and looked at his clothes on the counter, he sneezed. First just once, which was odd enough given he should have no signs of a cold or the like. He was worried for a second, because it is said that idiots can't get colds, but nothing is spoken of geniuses. He was smart, and it was really not on his to-do list to bust out the medicine today. Then he sneezed again with no nasal discharge, which prompted him to believe he was being talked about, which was true, he just didn't know who. He could hear Tetsunosuke and Lee outside, but not to the point where he could distinguish words from garbled noise. Granted, that was pretty much what he heard from those two nowadays. Criminal this, illegal that. It was enough to make him stick them with a syringe full of his Death-Drought and just pile them in the storage shed for the entire stay. It certainly would have been less money for him to pay in regards for their food, water, electricity, and other such necessities they used, and it would have freed up some rooms so fragile girls like Suzume wouldn't have to sleep in the same apartment as barbarians like Hibiki. It was irritating to him that they continued to be so asinine, despite the fact that they were literally mooching off of him. The reality of it all was that Tsukiko was the one who had caught on to Hei's attempts at slipping the death-mimicking drug into their beverages when they weren't looking, as she had noticed him doing it. He was ultimately forced not to try it again, or he would deal with the iron fist of his wife and elder sister. Reluctantly agreeing, he did not try it again, but that warning did not stop him from thinking about what he would ever do to the two of them if he was to ever, ever encounter them in a dark alley. Of course, it wasn't just those two; Hibiki was pretty much the same with his constant bitching about his Hollow Powers. Hei really wanted to administer Hibiki his fear drug- Tadashi too, actually, considering every now and then he had to hear about the kid whine about being afraid. He hadn't seen fear.
Waving off Tetsunosuke's and Lee's antics, Hei slipped out of the bathroom with no clothes on since it was his freaking apartment, and the only two that lived with him was someone who he'd been inside of, and the other too concerned with her mother's breasts to even care to learn what a p***s was. Being distracted by his own thoughts lead Hei to be none the wiser that Tsukiko was currently sitting in his kitchen, a sight which made him noisily retreat into the bathroom faster than someone being burned with a hot coal would yank themselves away from it. "Warnings when you enter someone's house. Warnings. I have taught you better, young lady.” He said, through his embarrassment. Granted, Tsukiko's head had been turned the other way so she had missed his buck-naked self, but the embarrassment was still there. Hei rolled his eyes at the sheepish "sorry" he obtained from Tsukiko, and then threw Yuki's towel around his waist and slipped out. "If sorry cut it, seppuku and prison wouldn't exist, now would it? You're lucky you're my daughter. And a gynoid whose perception of time is so skewed that a year could be a quarter-second for you." He reprimanded her quickly through a soft voice and hurriedly slipped into his bedroom where he threw on his Shihakushō and set his hair into the Kenseikan that symbolized his nobility. He would be stepping downstairs to retrieve Yuki and Senka, and he did not like to present himself to others in the clothing of the commoners, thus the need to change. After clothing himself and arriving at the breakfast table, he looked at Tsukiko's choice of attire and made a motion to it. "Certainly you're not going to parade yourself around in those clothes, are you?" His comment won him a stare that was so typical of a teenager that it was unsettling considering Tsukiko had never been one, really. Sort of. Now he wasn't so sure. As he took a sip of a cup of coffee that he made for himself just before coming to stand at the table, Tsukiko responded to his statement in a droned voice, implying boredom. She twirled her hair between her fingers as if to deliver the final nihilistic blow. "Tch, I'm not going anywhere, dad. It's just going to be Senka and I in the apartment, no guys... Besides, mom's clothes are sluttier than these. I've seen her clos-." Hei abruptly set his cup down on the table at the end of her sentence, or more precisely after the word "slutty," causing Tsukiko to recoil in fright, thinking she was in real trouble for a second. "I don't care. I don't want you setting an example for your sister; she's at a very impressionable age. And your mother is different- she's a woman. You're nine." He glanced at her while she scowled at him.
"Senka isn't even two. How can she possibly be impressionable yet? She has no idea that food isn't magically poofed into her food jars by Terry the Wonder Lizard, and she certainly thinks being butt-naked is commonplace. She on-ly wears di-a-pers in the sum-mer! I was there~." Tsukiko stressed several of her words, straining them with melodramatic anxiety and the like, and only let out a groan when Hei waved her off before taking another sip of his coffee. "Go get changed. You're my daughter... not a whore." A moan of annoyance was all his comment got, and he eyed her as she stormed out of the apartment and went downstairs to change. Hei cleared his throat and started forward while glancing out the window at Tetsunosuke who was sulking on a park bench. It occurred to him that he had no way back in because of the barrier, and this caused a chuckle to fall from his lips before he looked away towards the drugs on the table. It appeared Tsukiko had gotten them for him, and enough of what he needed, which was good. He would stock up later, but for now he gathered them up and stuck them in his lab, shutting and locking the door behind him. After a few seconds, he slipped out of the apartment and vanished with a Shunpo, falling out of it once he reached the foot of the stairs. Opening the door to the stairwell, he was met with the sight of Yuki and Elisia, and upon getting closer, Senka and a cat that he recognized to be Nu. Instantly he was stricken with irritation, causing him to swiftly come upon the two smallest in the room and pluck them up off the couch. After a small tug of war and a few coaxing words said to Senka, he managed to pry Nu from her grip and hold the cat-girl by her underside. He pulled her to eye level and cast her an annoyed stare. "Don't touch my highly-susceptible-to-disease daughter with your dirty walkin'-on-the-street paws." Passing Senka to Yuki, Hei swiftly moved towards the front door and deposited Nu on the front step, slamming the door behind him. "Filthy mongrel." He hissed as he moved back towards Yuki, regaining his composure. By the time he was by her side once more, he held a relaxed face, and he lowered himself to her level. "Your breakfast awaits." Of course, it had been ready for a while, but he would avoid that fact and reheat the food once they got back.

Hibiki Kirisho - Squad Nine Captain - ================================================
The gods trembled The demons flockedDuring his soul searching, Hibiki once again entered his inner world, this time; however, it was of his own volition. Sitting down on the rooftops of one of the rundown wooden houses, Hibiki sat there motionless, trying to calm himself down for the battle ahead. He’d have to deal with his inner hollow whether he liked it or not, and it was quite difficult, seeing as how the person in question was standing ominously behind him ”I’m meditating, go away.” muttered Hibiki. Waiting for a few seconds, he noticed he still hadn’t done so, much to his annoyance ”I said, leave me alone--“ ”You’ve got a visitor.” interrupted the hollow, surprising Hibiki as he thought he had isolated him rather successfully. Deciding that it would be rude to simply stand around, he prepared to leave ”Hibiki” spoke his inner hollow ”Don’t think you can just tell me what to do, you hear me? Compared to me, Kaze’s lenient, understand?”
Ignoring his hollow’s threats, Hibiki opened his eyes back in the Human World, just in time to hear Akane’s comment on his being stoic. Which he found to be odd, as it implied he seemed to be emotionless, which was quite far from the truth, regardless he kept quiet about it. Nodding to acknowledge Akane, he wondered why the man went to the rooftop, before realizing it was probably for the same reason he himself came up. Akane’s first statement didn’t catch Hibiki’s attention that much; however, his blindness definitely did the trick. Glancing at the man as he told his story, Hibiki imagined how hard it was for him. Seeing the man look at him, Hibiki wondered if he sensed him staring at him. He didn’t mean to, but it was rare to come across a blind man pretending to not be so, and doing a rather good job at that. His guess was confirmed when Akane stated his heightened spiritual sense made up for his blindness, something that reminded Hibiki about a movie called Daredevil he watch not too long ago. As Akane closed his speech, Hibiki waved off his offer, before realizing that he would probably have a hard time noticing it.
”No thanks, never smoked, cuts in on my expenses.” Hibiki jested, hoping to lighten up the mood ”And thank you for your speech, it was quite helpful.” stated Hibiki, smiling before nodding to Akane. Stroking his hair back, he leaned further back onto the rooftop’s railing until he was facing the sky as his elbows supported him ”I suppose when you look at our mask as a weapon, it lessens the weight. In fact, you could say it removes it entirely. But that’s not the case, it’s alive, you can feel it squirming inside you like some damn parasite.” spoke Hibiki looking at his palm before moving it away ”It’s a sacrifice, a necessary sacrifice, I suppose, to bear it inside you. Captains Nu and Hideki, they volunteered to undergo the process of hollowfication, they weren’t afraid to have this... thing, living inside them. If it meant it would save Soul Society, they were up to the challenge. I’m not.” spoke Hibiki, his words came out laced with fear, and they were ”In a way, I suppose between the two of us, you’re the more fortunate one, Akane. You have the courage to bear it. Neither of us chose what happened to us to happen to us, both of us were victims of fate. Only difference is, you have the mindset to turn that negative into a positive, me, I still have yet to find out if I can do that.”
A short silence fell between them, until Hibiki broke it with an audible smirk. Scratching his head, he rubbed his eyes a bit before continuing ”But, I guess thinking about negative things is just like feeding them.” he stated, standing back up as he stretched his arms ”You put up with your blindness longer than I’ve put up with my inner hollow. With that said, I guess I don’t have the right to complain. But I do have the right to pound someone in once this mess is done. And I suppose I can make do with that consolation prize.” chuckled Hibiki, thanking Akane once more for his time. The winds were unleashed ================================================

Akane Itsuki, Third Seat of Division Three Riku Ryuu of the Black Mist Mountains Akane turned so the smoke went with the wind, so that Suzume on his back would not get it in her face. He was quick to replace the cigarillo after Hibiki had motioned with his hand. "I actually make the whole cigarillo myself; practice from my father," he would respond with to the expenses for Hibiki. He nods to Hibiki when he thanks him for the speech. Akane nods and listens as Hibiki tells him of the mask. Indeed the mask was nothing more than a weapon for the fellow Shinigami; made for war, not peace. When Hibiki mentioned his courage for going through everything, even in this state, he couldn't help but have a small chuckle. He want right though; Akane didn't think of his blindness as a downfall, but just another obstacle set forth for him to conquer. Akane smiled as he finished, bowing his head to Hibiki.
He turns off to look over the edge, "Ya'know, I don't suspect for you to be that joyed by your Hollowfication; no one does. As I have heard over the years, and most of which in the past year, the Hollowfication is like a disease. But look at it this way... cancer is a disease, yet many fight it and sometimes beat it. That Hollow within you in is a cancer; eating away at you, slowly torturing you. Only you have the power to overcome it; and with the right motivation, a push if you will, I bet you could be an excellent Vizard Captain, as you seem to do well right now.. The way I look at life is; KISS. The word KISS means 'Keep It Simple, Stupid'. The basic meaning is to never over-complicate things. Anyways, I really should get Suzume to her room.. I don't mind have a young woman in a tank-top and panties riding on my back, but it's not exactly battle attire."
Akane smiles and places his glasses on, taking the cigarillo and flicking it away. He walks back to go inside, waving a hand to Hibiki, "Take it easy, Captain Hibiki.. And remember, when it comes to the fight today; KISS." He chuckles at the way it sounds, but goes down inside. Taking Suzume to her room, who wakes up slowly, sliding down and stumbling off to her closet. Akane stands in the doorway as she changes, Suzume fine as she knows he won't see anything. He waits in her doorway as she dresses herself in her attire.

⋆⋆⋆∥ HAKASE xELISIA ☇【 yonbantaixTAICHO 】 As her wife firstly bade goodbye before leaving to apparently help Hei with some things, Elisia felt more conscious of herself and of the people around her. Unable to feel the comforting presence of Tsukiko who was usually next to her, she unconsciously slipped back into her old habits, again twisting her wedding ring around her finger as her nerves and anxieties played up again. Despite the fact that she had managed to control most of those, there was a blatant problem staring in the face again, as she had taken greater notice of Tetsunosuke’s ill will towards her, than she appeared to. On their time in the Human World, that was one friendship she had not been able to work on, or it was more salvaging this at the moment as she had gone against him and defended Hei when he had attacked him for forcefully making Hibiki a Vizard. To tell the truth, she had not been totally thinking rationally at that moment in time and worked up by all the fighting and arguing that was going on, she had leapt into the situation without a second thought. While it might have somewhat strengthened her relationship with her father-in-law in a strange way, she had to admit that it had soured one of her friendships with a person that she admired and liked. It was obvious that he didn’t think of her in the friendly manner anymore, due to his glare when she had first arrived and the clenched jawline. She had glanced briefly at Tetsunosuke after Yuki’s comment, but it was nothing good at all in his face as his face had not changed expression at all in response. The concern was clear on her face as she stared at his retreating back with anguish in her eyes.
She managed to tear her eyes away from the now-empty space in the door to hear Nu’s response and fix her eyes on Senka and Nu. At first, the sight of the laughing cat confused her, but the words soon set her in her right place. Almost immediately, her mind jumped back to the very same statement as she managed to express embarrassment. Hanging her head in shame, she averted her gaze away from Nu, not wanting the other girl to notice the fact that she was utterly self-conscious of this idea. Not only that, but Senka was right there! Then again, the little child didn’t know what was going on. After all, what child would? But, they were dealing with the child of Yuki and Hei, who would most likely not grow up as most children were expected to. “Nu-chan!” she breathed in a furious whisper, her cheeks turning even more red, if that was possible by now. Despite this show that she was putting on and playing quite well compared to her usual self, there was the nagging voice at the back of her head that was reminding her over and over again about Tetsunosuke. It had been there before, but now it was louder and with the volume and repetition, she felt like simply screaming and running away from all these things. Yet she knew that she could not and would not leave something like this behind. Being a coward and running away from the problem would not help in the slightest and thus, she would have only one other solution that she could use in this situation – confront the problem and resolve it as best as she could. The other issues seemed insignificant to this one in front of her eyes and she knew that if it was not solved quickly, it would bring along more problems with it. In spite of this, she couldn’t help but visibly hesitate and catch her breath, wondering whether this would simply further the problem and make it even more complicated than before. Maybe it might. Anyway, she couldn’t feel his presence anyway inside the barrier, so it was likely that he was far away by now. She’d have to deal with it before the battle, yes, but it could wait for a little while. After all, it would be quite rude to leave Yuki, Senka and Nu suddenly.
It was when she had finally decided to not really do anything for the moment, that she noticed the approaching figure of Hei. At first, she was more surprised than anything else as she expected him to stay up there a little longer with Tsukiko to sort out whatever tools were needed or whatever. Then came a little bit of confusion as she wondered exactly where her wife had gone, since it seemed the girl wasn’t with him. Perhaps Tsukiko had been sent to do something by her father or had stayed back to finish things off. Well, hopefully, she’d be able to catch the other girl before they left, since she wanted to say goodbye. Watching with wide eyes as Hei separated Senka, albeit with some difficulty, away from Nu, before promptly putting the cat outside, she concealed a sigh. Although Hei had not greeted her specifically at all, she guessed that some manners were in order before she left to make sure that Nu was alright. Dropping a quick curtsy, she commented in a polite tone, “A very good morning to you, Jūnibantai-Taichō.” She then turned her attention to Yuki and Senka, “Well, shuuto-san, I hope you enjoy your breakfast and please excuse my departure.” With that said and having flashed a quick smile, she walked towards the front door, yanking it open and closing it behind her. Picking up Nu carefully, she gently scratched the cat behind the ears, before asking in a concerned voice, “You alright? You hurt in any way?” ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬

Relaxing her whole body to the girl's touch, she was suprised to hear more movement, only for a small sigh to escape her mouth, that familiar presence that could only belong to one man. Opening a single eye, she winced at the small game of tug of war over her body, Hei eventually winning in the end as he raised her to match eyes. Ever since they had arrived, he seemed more busy then ever, most likely with his newest daughter. The thought of him being such a typical father to the girl, so....normal, always made her smile. Ever since she received her powers, she saw the man in a better light, and with his daughter around, her image of him was more of a husband and Captain then a horrible monster. She would have been more mad at the man if not for the fact that the underlining motive behind this was concern over his daughter, which she found absolutely adorable. Though she would have preffered not to be kicked out like some animal, Elisia soon enough rescued her as she was once again raised up, this time securely in her friend's arms.
"I'm fine Elisia, no worries~"
Being scratched, she mewed lightly before jumping off the from the girl's arms, though her animalistic instincts told her not to. With a small implosion and a quickly fading cloud of smoke, Nu stood on two legs once more, this time fully clothed. To get her clothes to remain on her body took more training then she thought, but in the long run, it was worth it when she could switch on the fly without worrying about some pervert ogling her previously naked body. Wiping her palms, which were indeed dirty, with the napkin in her pocket, she gives herself a quick look ovrt with a nearby mirror before resting on the coach, Senka staring at her. One day, she would explain she was the cat that always played with her when she was young, but she preferred to keep her feline life and her business life separate, as she sat there, twirling a loose hair.
"You look well enough, and it sounds like yer plenty healthy in bed too~"
A friendly smirk rested on her face, staring at her friend. She absoultely loved to tease the girl whenever she saw her, which was rare. After so many months of teasing the captain about finding a man, Nu needed something to get her back with, and what was more perfect then the topic of sex around the usually shy girl? Ever since they arrived, Nu had dedicated every waking moment to train, so she didn't have much time to chat with her friend these days. It seemed as though her friend grew a bit, or it vould have been her imagination. Her mind was waundering again, this time to the battle. Millions of ideas were running amok, and both her hollow and Tenka had differing opinions to go about her battle, which made it quiter a lively conscious. Looking back at Elisia, she only faintly noticed her hair has grown longer since she last saw her, indicating it really has been some time.
"I would expect you to be with Tsukiko until it was time to leave Elisia, no need to be here y'know~"
She would have ended it with another joke, but her mind eventually thought about lee again, which made her brows furrow. Naomi and him were on the roof, though she should sense some other people there. Normally, she would not be the type to pry, but she could still be curious....

After a few moments, he groaned and rolled over, but it was a futile effort as he was already awake. He sighed and threw back his sheets before rolling back to the edge of his bed and placing his feet on the floor. Across the room he could see ERIS sitting Indian-style on the floor, being as she didn’t sleep he knew she was simply in a standby mode to pass the time until he woke up. This fact was immediately proven by her instant reaction to his awakening. The servos inside her body could be heard whirring as she turned her head to look at him. “Finally awake are we?” she asked. Blake yawned and stretched before answering. “Yeah I’m awake,” he replied simply. ERIS nodded and quickly rose to her feet before speaking again. “Good. Today will be a day of intense battle and I would not advise going into combat without a well rested mind and body.” She made her way over to the door then took hold of the handle before turning her head to look at Blake once more. “That said, it is also advised that you have a meal to fuel your body and increase stamina, and while not a necessity, I would suggest you take a shower.” Blake ran his hand through his tangled mass of hair as best he could. “Yeah yeah, I’ll take a shower. You go ahead and make breakfast. Try to keep it down. I don’t want to wake up Captain Akiyama if she isn’t already awake.” ERIS nodded her compliance of his orders before opening the door and making a beeline for the kitchen where she quietly began to prepare breakfast for the two Shinigami she was housed with. Due to her precise bodily movements she was eerily quiet yet fast while she began making French toast, eggs, and bacon. Blake was already putting on a pair of mesh shorts and a t-shirt, being as he slept in only his boxers, as she left. He may tend to be a bit less than tactful at times, but Blake was by no means inconsiderate and walking around his shared apartment with a female roommate whom he had only known for a few months would be quite inconsiderate. Even though she was kind enough to accept him as her roommate without any verbal opposition, he had to wonder if she was really okay with it. After all, he was an outcast and a bit of an enigma among the group, the fact that he can’t speak Japanese well causing him to keep to himself mostly only compounded this fact. Had it not been for ERIS’ translations and teachings, Blake wouldn’t be able hold any kind of conversation with his compatriots.
As he grabbed the hanger that had his freshly cleaned and pressed clothes on it, no doubt ERIS’ work while everyone was asleep, his mind returned to their goal for the day, defeating the Sephira and regaining the Seireitei. He barely even remembered the Seireitei, yet they were all so powerfully shaken by its loss to these Sephira they spoke of. Despite this, he wasn’t opposed to helping them fight to regain a home that had been his long ago as well. He couldn’t deny that he was extremely excited about being on the battlefield again. Ever since World War II he had been working mostly as a US spy and getting little to no combat experience unless something supernatural came into play. Had Hei not shown up at Area 51 with Nu and Tsukiko, he had no doubt he would still be there awaiting orders which would more than likely never come as the CIA had given up pursuing psychic methods of information retrieval which meant that there were no more handlers that could see him. Luckily for him a few of the scientists at least acknowledged his presence and even talked to him, despite the fact that he could only respond through writing. Without that little bit of interaction he would have no doubt slipped into insanity, especially during the trying period of trying to tech-harden his Zanpakuto. He had been training to ensure he wasn’t rusty when the time came to face this enemy he had no experience in fighting against.
In a swift movement he pulled the hanger with his clothes off the closet door and opened his room door. Taking note of how eerily quiet ERIS was as she was cooking, he made his way to the bathroom. Blake wasted no time in the shower. The heat of the water loosened his muscles for what was sure to be a long day. He didn’t know if he was going to die today or not, but if he did, he had every intention to take at least one person with him. After twenty minutes he exited the shower and dried off. He wrapped his towel around his waist and began to brush his teeth while looking at his image in the mirror. He still had to comb his hair, but that wasn’t too much of an issue. After a few minutes of brushing, he spat out the toothpaste and used a little water to rinse any residual foam from around and out of his mouth. 5 more minutes and he was fully dressed and ready for the day. Blake combed his hair then opened the door back to the main room of the apartment where he could see ERIS had already finished cooking breakfast and had set up the plates with some orange juice to drink. “Your food is ready. Eat up,“ ERIS said as she began to clean the dishes she had messed. Blake nodded then began eating.
After ten minutes the fork clanged to the plate suddenly, followed by the clack of the glass on the counter as Blake finished his meal in record time. He wiped his mouth and yawned with a stretch. “Alright,” he said as he cracked his neck. “Now it’s time to work the kinks out of these old muscles of mine. Would suck a** to get a cramp in the middle of a fight, don’t you think?” This question came with a chuckle from Blake as he walked into the living room and performed a series of stretches to ready his body for the coming day. After he’d finished his stretches he looked over at ERIS who was already looking back at him as she knew what he had in mind. There was one more ritual they did before to warm up for a day of strenuous activity. It was a bit like tag. The point was to avoid being touched by your opponent while touching them yourself. The first person to touch the other wins. It was a perfect way to sharpen your senses before a battle. “Ready? 3….2……..go!” Blake took an early start and jumped off the balcony landing on the ground a few feet to the side of Elisa and Nu. “Good Morning,” he said in Japanese to them with a smile and slight wave. Then just as suddenly as he had appeared he was off again as ERIS came crashing down from above causing a cloud of dust. “Gonna have to be faster than that!” Blake shouted back at her as he dashed backwards away from the spot he’d been standing in, of which ERIS was now the sole occupant. ERIS scowled than dashed after him with her hand extended. Blake stuck his tongue out to taunt her and nearly bit it when he bumped into something suddenly.
Curious as to what he hit since he knew the wall was much further out than that, Blake turned to see that he had bumped into Tadashi in his haste. He chuckled in embarrassment then nodded and offered up a simple statement of “I’m sorry.” Whether or not Tadashi would accept the apology, he would have to wait to find out as ERIS was hot on his tail still. Blake used a Shunpo to move up into the air just as ERIS’ hand passed through his disappearing form stopping inches from Tadashi’s chest. Not offering any word to the either Tadashi or Suzume, she turned and looked up at Blake who was now looking down on them from his perch on an airwalk platform. “You know I can’t use Shunpo, Blake. That’s cheating!” she shouted angrily. Blake shrugged and shook his head. “Says the one who can read my mind anytime she wants to see what I’m gonna do next. I think Shunpo is fair game.” ERIS let out an audible growl before dashing up towards Blake who Shunpo’d away once again, but ERIS adjusted her trajectory with an airwalk platform and was keeping up with him step for step. The pair slowly moved towards the roof of the complex, Blake disappearing and reappearing in a new location with ERIS already there ready to grasp victory with a touch. After the series of near misses Blake appeared standing on the railing near Hibiki. He gave the other man a simple wave as a greeting as he had to keep his full attention on ERIS lest she try something crafty. “Whew, that was close! I forgot you were fast enough to keep up with my Shunpo when you got serious,” he said to her followed by a laugh.
ERIS smiled evilly at him. “Oh you thought that was me being serious?” Her hands and feet began to crackle with lightning as she spoke. “No. That was just me playing catch up. Now…I’m serious.” There was a thunder crack and a trail of lightning that extended from where ERIS had been standing to the railing at the corner of the building where she now was. Blake’s eyes widened. It had been a while since their game had gotten this intense and he’d forgotten that ERIS’ dashes couldn’t just keep up with his Shunpo when she was serious, but they were faster to the point where it seemed that she was using Shunpo herself. Had it not been for the fact that she left a trail of electricity in her wake when she moved at full speed, it would be hard to tell the difference. Blake didn’t have much idle time as she was already running down the railing towards him. Reacting at the last possible moment, he flipped over her, but didn’t have time to launch a counter-attack as she was already turning for a second strike. Blake ducked as ERIS’ hand passed mere centimeters above his head. The missed strike was followed instantly by a leg sweep forcing Blake to jump back over ERIS. After landing on the other side of her he went to touch the back of her head, but she moved it to the side before he could make contact. ERIS tried to grab him as she spun to face him again, however, she found herself grasping at nothing but air as Blake used Shunpo once again this time appearing on the railing next to Eriko who was looking over the railing at the courtyard below.
“Heya, Captain Akiyama,” he said looking at her with a wide childlike gleeful smile. He was thoroughly enjoying the game and while the smile was genuine, his apparent inattentiveness was really a ploy to put ERIS on the attack as long as she hadn’t read his thoughts to see what he was up too. ERIS’ hands and feet became charged with lightning once again as she prepared for another full speed dash. “Holding a conversation in the middle of our fight?! How foolish of you, Blake!” The railing dented suddenly as ERIS pushed off it leaving a trail of crackling lightning as she moved towards Blake with her hand outstretched. She was surprised to see Blake turn his head towards her then suddenly seem to fall away. Blake was happy to see that she had fallen for his trap hook, line, and sinker. As ERIS moved towards him, he let himself fall backward over the railing, licking his index finger as he did. Blake touched ERIS’ forehead with his wet index finger as she moved over him then hooked one foot to the railing while using the other to kick off the wall with enough force to spin him back up so that he could land on top of the railing. He then turned to face ERIS who was now standing in midair with her arms crossed pouting. “Hahaha, those hands of yours might glow with an awesome power, but on this day it is I who has grasped victory,” Blake jested. ERIS finally sighed before saying, “Fine fine, you win. You didn’t have to lick your finger before you touched me though. I would’ve known.” She walked back over towards the railing where he was before turning her attention to Eriko. “Good morning Akiyama-taicho. I have prepared breakfast already if you desire something to eat. Your plate is stored in the oven so that it may remain warm and there is fresh orange juice in the fridge. I made French toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon. If you would like something else, let me know as it is the least I can do for you so graciously putting up with Blake.” Blake didn’t recognize most of what ERIS said to Eriko, but he did recognize his name. “You aren’t telling her bad things about me are you?” he asked as he hopped down from the railing. ERIS moved her eyes to look at him, “Who knows?” she said plainly before turning her attention back to Eriko. Blake sighed and shrugged, “Oh well. Nothing I could do about it if you did anyway. I’m gonna go holler at Captain Kirisho. I didn’t get to give him a proper greeting earlier. Later ladies.” Blake gave them a half wave as he walked away from them towards Hibiki. He paused momentarily as he formulated a sentence in his mind before speaking. "Kirisho-taicho! Good morning. How do you this day?" He felt that something was off about that last sentence, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. Though if it was, he hoped that Hibiki would get what he meant and return his greeting.◄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─▄─▀─► (( TL biggrin R - Blake woke up and got cleaned up while ERIS cooked then they played a game of tag during which he said hello to Elisia & Nu, bumped into Tadashi and apologized, waved at Hibiki, and said hello Eriko before winning. As Senka busied herself with playing with Nu, Yuki had taken to putting her elbow on the armrest and palming her cheek while digging her fingernails into her skin since her fingers were bent at the moment. For a few minutes, the dazed in and out of reality while her mind jumped from subject to subject, the most pressing of which was the rapid switching of emotions that she was getting outside. She was not ignorant to the fact that Tetsunosuke's emotions had shifted into anger after Elisia had greeted him. Initially this had bewildered her, since she had no idea who in their right mind could possibly harbor anger towards the delicate and polite Elisia. Yuki set herself as a bystander as his anger grew while he moved outside, only to raise his voice at the Lieutenants and then storm off like a child. Having caught what he said given the front doors were hardly sound proof, Yuki put on a knowing face and cast the closed doors a small smile. "Ah, so that's it..." She thought to herself as he turned tail on the two standing out there, then slipped through Lee's barrier, only to be followed by Lee, which prompted her to remain in her seat as she no longer felt no need to go out there and settle the issue. Not too surprising was Tadashi's internal reaction to it, which was to be expected since that's just how he was. Suzume had been no different, neither had Lee, and on that same note, Tetsunosuke's actions were not all that surprising either since he had always been hot-headed. Of course, she had to wonder if Tetsunosuke was aware that by losing control of his emotions in front of them, that he was only solidifying Suzume's beliefs on the matter.
It became apparent to her, by using basic psychology, that he still held contempt for Hei for turning him into a Vizard and for her for not doing anything about it. Yuki had been expecting those feelings to be coming from many of them, and she actually had a good reason for not taking action against Hei. However, she knew that wouldn’t mean much to people like Lee, Hibiki, and Tetsunosuke, who just hated him to the point of wanting to see him put away regardless, so it was senseless to bring it up. Yuki had not taken the job to be loved; she had taken it so that she may lead. If a few captains disliked her for her choices that were none of their business to begin with, then that was their problem, and not hers. Yuki had more important things to deal with, such as raising another daughter, and she could not be bothered with tending to every gripe of Tetsunosuke's, every irritated rant by Hibiki, or really to get involved every time someone so much as complained. Truthfully, it was wearing her patience a little thin that a lot of people couldn't get along, especially those who harbored hate for Hei. Hei had mentioned it, and she agreed completely that it was awfully stupid to channel hate towards he who fed, clothed, and sheltered them. Yuki had initially offered to kindly ask them to keep it to themselves, but when she saw that Hei no longer appeared to be affected by it, she ceased to worry about the matter at hand. Of course, she had no idea that he had already attempted to drug some of them and leave them in storage.
For a moment or two, she was able to keep her attention on the fluctuating emotions of Tadashi, Suzume, Lee, and Tetsunosuke since Senka was being watched by Nu, but it soon became apparent that she had missed something while watching the others. After hearing Elisia shout out something in response to whatever had happened, she ripped herself away from her daze and silently mouthed nonsense to herself while her brain attempted to sort out what she had heard while she had been out of it. "Senka let you sleep, do the deed, et cetera et cetera..." Looking up, Yuki took in Elisia's face and shook her head slowly in response while pulling her hand from her face. Four indentations remained due to her nails, and it looked silly, but she didn't seem to mind. "No, not really..." She finished in a daze yet again as she became aware of Elisia's constant worried state that seemed to have surfaced out of nowhere. Yuki glanced around for Tsukiko, but quickly remembered that she had already told her to do something for Hei. "Hm..." She had every intention, at this point, of telling Elisia not to be such a worrywart, but at that exact instant, Hei's presence filled the bottom of the stair well, and her eyes shot towards the door handle as it turned as the door opened. She was treated to the alluring sight of him dressed in all black, strolling calmly down the hallway while his set hair swayed with every step. Damn he looked good in all black. Her heart thumped in her chest as if to remind her of what she wanted, but her feelings dwindled away as the blank face he had been wearing turned into irritation. Yuki only looked on in disbelief as Hei pried Nu from Senka's grasp, scolded the cat, deposited their infant in her lap, then put Nu just outside the from door, leaving her to the elements. While she couldn't exactly agree with putting her outside, he did make a valid point that she did walk around everywhere, and that getting too close to Senka would agitate her immune system on some level. Of course, it wouldn't be significant enough to infect her unless she had been rolling around in something pretty foul. However, Hei was a doting father and far be it from her to get in the way of that. As long as he didn't hurt Nu, it was okay with her.
Yuki extended a hand as Hei lowered himself in front of her, putting her fingers against the side of his face and stroking him lightly while he spoke. Casting him a soft smile, she nodded and rose to her feet after Elisia had been them farewell and then went outside to pick Nu up. After she adjusted Senka and turned slightly toward the hallway that lead to the stairs, she leaned towards Hei and dropped her voice. "No matter how much it might pain you, I think you need to talk to your daughter in law about Tsuki. Explain to her why she will be gone, and then reassure her with something, anything; the last thing that girl needs is to be worried about every little thing. It will only come to affect the rest of us in the end." Brushing him with her shoulder, she strolled down the hallway with a swat in her hips before she disappeared into the stairwell and headed upstairs. Once she was inside their apartment once more, she secured Senka in her high chair to assure she wouldn't be going anywhere, and then moved to check the food. "Oh... so he already had it made." Frowning, she cocked her head to the side a little bit and then turned back to Senka. "Looks like Daddy postponed breakfast for us. How nice~" Ending her statement to Senka in a sing-song voice which sparked a giggle from the infant, Yuki began moving food around and reheating it while she waited for Hei to come back. All in all she took a little over four or so minutes, during which time she sat at the table and toyed with Senka by playing peek-a-boo, among other things. With the food all at the table, she noticed that Senka was eyeing it, apparently expecting to be fed as well. "I think not, little one. Daddy says you ate at six, so you have another half hour before you get anything. Eat too much and you'll get fat. Although I doubt it, since you're a Hakase; not a fat one among us, that's for sure." With the final ding of the microwave, she was up and had everything set on the table within a minute, sitting patiently while waiting for Hei. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, xxxxxxxx And the storms their energy, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx While cares will drop off like autumn leaves.xxxxxxxxxx

⋆⋆⋆∥ HAKASE xELISIA ☇【 yonbantaixTAICHO 】 Elisia let out a sigh of relief as Nu told her that she was perfectly fine, letting out the breath she had been holding, in one long gust. Well, that was good to see, since she was worried that Nu might have been injured for one reason or another, although she didn’t really expect Hei to have done anything to Nu. Then again, for the sake of his youngest child, she didn’t doubt that he would go pretty far to protect Senka. It was cute in a manner, but something that she would never openly admit to Hei himself, since it would be rather embarrassing, to say the very least. “You nearly gave me a heart attack back there, I must say, Nu-chan,” she cheerfully commented, most of her anxieties with Nu already quelled. Watching with a confused look on her face, she was surprised by the sudden movement of her friend as Nu jumped off her arms and landed on the ground for no apparent reason. Perhaps Nu didn’t like being touched? But then again, Senka had been hugging and patting her and Nu hadn’t seemed to mind then. Tilting her head to one side, she wondered exactly what the other girl was thinking of doing, until she suddenly realized with the implosion and the cloud of smoke. Uh-oh. Waving her arms as she cleared the arm in front of her from the smoke, she politely averted her eyes away from where Nu’s feline form had been in. While she knew that Nu could turn back with clothes on, there was always the possibility of a mistake and that could be an extremely awkward situation to be in, especially if someone else came around at that time and saw her like that. A delicate shudder rippled through her body at that thought and she pulled a worried face.
It was only after the smoke had cleared that she peeked towards Nu, realizing quickly that it seemed like this was one of the times without the mistake occurring. Well, that was good in itself. Looking at her friend with a merry smile upon her face, she automatically hid her face with her hands as her friend brought up, yet again the topic of her life with Tsukiko. This time, she was less embarrassed by it as she was getting more and more accustomed to the idea, but she still nervously twiddled her thumbs as she replied, stumbling over words as she rebuked her friend, “No, no, no, please don’t mention it! You know that makes me all flustered all over again!” She peered into her friend’s eyes, before her own eyes lit up with a spark of understanding, “Is this payback by any chance? You seem to be in the teasing mood recently, did something happen?” She was about to tease Nu back about finding a lover but she bit her tongue, forcing her words back as she remembered the delicate situation that Nu found herself in. It wouldn’t be good to remark on something like that and bring the topic back up to the other girl. “Thought it was about time I talked with my old friends, my dear Nu,” she swiftly answered to the girl’s second statement. Her eyes followed her friend and she was thrown off by Nu’s furrowing of the brows. In a genuinely concerned voice, she asked Nu, “Is everything alright? You seem a little bothered by something, Nu-chan.” She kept her gaze level on her friend, only tearing it away when she heard a voice, which wasn’t as familiar as most, greeting her. Turning her head, she caught sight of their newest Captain – Blake Reeves. She wiped the concerned expression on her face, putting on a smile as she waved and called out to him in slightly-accented English, “Good morning, Captain Reeves~!” While Japanese was her preferred language, she had luckily been given some basic lessons in English when she was younger and she had learnt it through the years, using it in the more recent years since they were based in Australia, where most people spoke English. It still felt strange on her tongue though and she would rather use Japanese in any case. ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬
