But i think bands like dope should be considered metel. They just get a bad rap from others because of thier look.... stew on that for awile. Look has nothing to do with being metal. Dope is pretty far from metal. Sorry. e.e; And again people, we're not saying it's a bad thing to like Nu-Metal, it just doesn't belong in the guild. :3 I like a fair amount of Nu-Metal and rock. Anyone care to see a list? i want to see a list K. Here are just a few of the non-metal bands that I like. Mudvayne, Stone Sour, Static-X, Spineshank, KMFDM, Evanesence, Jack Off Jill, Incubus, Tool, Dope, NIN, Disturbed, Finger 11, and many many more. :3 I'm not ashamed to like those, even if some of them are uber main-stream. whats KMFDM? The friggin fathers (and mother) of industrial rock! You should look them up! yeah i probably will

You're the authority on punk in this guild. >.>; I don't know alot about punk, but I know that hatebreed doesn't sound like any that I've heard. But anyhow. :3 Go ahead and remove it. I still love you, Clasi. <3 @Azeil- Rammstein is just industrial rock, and they suck. why do they suck? First of all, I really don't have to explain myself to you, especially in a thread that has nothing to do with the band. But, I will. Why does Rammstein suck? 1. Crappy guitar riffs/solos (Are there solos in Rammstein songs?) 2. Their vocalist has one of the most annoying voices. 3. Their lyrics blow. I could write better lyrics while being tortured by two gay guys while hanging upside down and being administered electro-shock therapy. 4. It's industrial..Most industrial gets repetitive and boring, TO ME. So, now, please go ******** yourself. said the guy who likes sinatra...

azeil_death I feel kinda stupid, but what about Rebel meets rebel? I thought that was a cd that The Darrell Brothers (from Pantera) and Rex Brown and David Allen Coe made....o.O; Anyway...I would say that is Heavy Metal and country mixed 3nodding

Hmm I have a question would you guys consider Mortal Treason and Becoming the Archetype Metal? I also want to say this thread has given more of an understanding on what is considered metal and what is not.

To Hittokiri: You can always check them out on Metal-Archives, if they appear there, you can be almost sure that the band is(or was like Def Leppard) Metal. If you don't find them there, but are still unsure on wether a band is or is not Metal, you can always post links to some songs so others can listen and help.
To swordguy: I don't think we have any policies on Metalcore, waiting for Clasi or Shade would be the best.
