She watched as the Shinigami Vice Captain pointed his right hand to a lonely star, which shined in the sky. A smile cracked through her lips, as she listened to what Xeion called it, "Lucky Star?" she chuckled, his reasoning for naming it that amused her. Over a Television program, his favorite one.
"Oh really? The first and last?" she asked rhetorically, as the arrancar looked up to the star. 'It's probably lonely by itself,' she thought. Then, Xeion mentioned the same thing, and gave her a kind smile. Just as he ruffled her onyx hairs on her head, Rakey asked him, "Me?". But before he could answer her, or ask him how she knew about her past, she was embraced in Xeion's arms.
She felt him let go of her and saw him raise his hand once again, pointing at the lonely star, Lucky Star. She also watched as he summoned Angelus, the gun glowing in his hands, as did the 'XIII' Raven mark on his forehead. Her eyes followed the light blue bullet as it went off. Towards the sky, were it scattered the clouds, to reveal an amazing sight. Tiny stars emerged from behind the clouds, around that lonely star.
She let out a smile at this sight, and then turned her head to look at Xeion. Then a glow came from her skirt pocket. She shuffled through it in surprise, and curious of what was glowing at her thigh. Pulling a half clover, half star, it finished it's transformation into a star, a crystalline star. Her eyes widened as she felt Xeion's reishi particles, which were stored in the once was 'clover', began to rise.
Looking at Xeion in surprise, he had already reached to her hand holding the crystal star and clasped his own over her's. The arrancar before him smiled and listened siliently. His face grew closer to her own, holding his genuine and calming smile, and told he loved her. She was happy to hear this, but was caught off gaurd at the same time.
Watching tears roll down his face, Rakey's smile disappeared, as she wiped his tears away with her right hand. "Don't cry," she comforted, not knowing he was crying tears of joy. She smiled to him comfortingly, when she received the kiss on the forehead from Xeion. She thought she was now used to this, but seeing that it was taking a bit more time than usual, she blushed lightly.
The Vice Captain then leaned back and turned himself around. With a step forward, he created distance betweenn the two, slowly creeping away. As he spoke and stopped, her eyes began to well up with tears. Then, as he turned to face her, she couldn't hold them back as they began to roll down her cheeks. No, not just roll down, they trailed down her cheeks like rivers.
She brought her arms up to wipe her tears, getting the sleeves of Xeion's jacket wet in the process. During this time, she nodded and kept repeating, "Hai.... Hai... Hai... Hai... (Yes,)".

Xeion watched as Rakey-chan cried profusely to the point of his jacket's sleeve getting wet with her tears. Seeing this, he couldn't help but feel happy of seeing Rakey-chan, now his imouto, happy for her being accepted as part of his family, along with Yuu-chan and Rin-chan. Of course, he himself was happy of this fact and smiled as he walked over to his crying Arrancar imouto and wrapped his arms around her to try and calm her down.
"It's okay, you can cry for as long as you want, Rakey-chan. As your big brother, it's one of my roles to be one of the shoulders that you can cry on, so please, cry all you want," Xeion whispered into her ear and simply stood there while she cried some more. He knew that every tear drop she made represented a smile in her heart. As such, Xeion simply stood there silently and held on to Rakey-chan's body for as long as she cried, smiling sweetly as he did. This was one of the days he was thankful of being alive.

Soon after being hugged, Rakey stopped, she didn't want to cry. She wanted to get better, so he didn't have to protect her all the time. Rakey looked him in the face. "...Thank you," She whispered to her Nii-san and smiled.

When Rakey-chan let go, Xeion sensed that she was feeling uncertain of herself. Her tone of voice, too, proved that fact. Her whispered thank you held with it bits of sadness during the last syllables. Of course, for a normal person, this would sound like nothing -- romantic even. However, Xeion was Rakey-chan's onii-chan. As every great onii-chan should, they could sense even the subtlest changes in their sister's feelings through something as simple as speaking. From his memories before, Rakey-chan's voice held an air of cheeriness. Now, it held something more of doubt.
Placing his hand onto Rakey-chan's shoulder, he smiled at her in return for her sweet smile directed towards him. Her desire to grow strong burned deep into her eyes when she looked at him. From that point on, he knew what she wanted.
"So, do you want to test out your new power, my dear sister?" Xeion asked, hinting that he already knew what she wanted even before she said it. An onii-chan's role, somewhat like a butler, is to serve. If he, as Rakey-chan's onii-chan, can't even notice her subtle changes, how can he consider himself as someone who could truly protect her and be there whenever she needed him?

Once Xeion suggested what she wanted she nodded, and said, "Uh-hun, I'd like that,". She stepped feet away from Xeion as she waited, hoping he actually knew what she wanted. She bit her lip as she waited for her brother to react.

Xeion saw Rakey-chan step away from him and stopped a few meters away to give him space. By the way she looked in her eyes, it was obvious. The thing she wanted most was power. Power to protect herself and those she loves. Power to overcome any obstacle so she won't have to rely on him or anyone else when she was in trouble. Xeion smiled at thise -- he knew that his sister was a strong young lady. She was independent and she didn't want to worry other people, much like himself. As such, it was normal that he knew what she wanted; and wanted it fast.
Raising his hand towards her, Xeion brought out a small amount of cosmic energy and compressed into a black sphere, radiating with power. "Rakey-chan, try and negate this. If you really desire to grow stronger, you need to face fear head on. Cosmic energy, in a way, is the embodiment of fear, you see. The manifestation and representation of both order and chaos. You need to control your fear and turn that into courage to make use of your cosmic energy. If you're brave enough, the cosmic energy in your crystal-clover-star will do the rest."
As soon as Xeion said those words, he let loose a jet-black ray of cosmic energy, headed towards Rakey-chan. Even with just a small blast, it ripped thorough the air like a cannon, blowing up dust with the sheer force of its kinetic energy, being released when it was shot out. Of course, this was more of an intimidation shot, rather than a real once. Cosmic energy projectiles are different than normal one-dimensional energy projectiles. The more powerful it looks, the lesser the impact force it has. The less power it looks, the more power it has. It was a complete reversal of the natural law of physics, but then again, physics didn't really apply all that much to cosmic energy.
With the power being displayed by the cosmic energy shot, it's impact force would only be compared to that of a small nudge. Rakey-chan didn't know of this fact, however, and this served as her first, real test to she if she had what it takes to brandish such a highly-destructive, complex, and powerful energy like that of cosmic energy. Xeion had faith in her, however. She had gone through much more difficult situations than this one. "Come on, Rakey-chan. I believe in you! Being scared is all part of it. Just believe. Believe in yourself. Believe in the power you possess. It's all you have to do -- just believe and everything will be just fine!"

"Cosmic, Cosmic what?" She asked, a little worried, she remembered what Xeion did using his cosmic energies. Teleporting himself everywhere, and all kinds of stuff she couldn't explain. Figuring she had to do this to get stronger she thought,
'Think of some wway to negate it, my clovers? Probably not, since it only absorbs reishi, cero... maybe, katana, probably just get eaten away... Sonido, but that'd just be running away... the crystal clover? But, that'll disappear and crumble after one use like my others, wouldn't... it?' After thinking over things, she shook her head and gripped her hands into a fist.
The ray of obsidian hued cosmic energy rushed to her. Intimidating it was, but she'd been burned to a crisp by Mockadash before. Tightening her fist, she shifted her leg stance, her left a bit forward and her right leg shifting to the right a bit. Reishi accumulated on her proximal phalanxes of her fist, standing there idle before the speeding cosmic energy. She was worried on whether this would even work. Afraid, possibly her hand might be swallowed by some weird phenomena this thing caused.
Now, the two were mere seconds away from eachother, she lifted her right fist, and forcefully punched at the energy ray. But just before the two energies met, the reishi blew off her fist, like her fist fired air an air gun, but reishi from her fist that was concentrated in her reiatsu. This force to the ray of cosmic energy, was like Pacman eating the ghosts. It just ate right through it, since Rakey was afraid of how much energy was needed to negate it she had used a lot of compacted reishi. The blast kept flying past, like it had hit nothing and kept going and going.
Rakey's eyes widened as she shouted, "Xeion!!! Watch out!!" her hands were holding her horns as she yanked at them, like one would with their hair. "...Oh no...." she groaned at her mistakes.

Xeion sighed; it was all he could do at that point. The speed that Rakey-chan's reishi blast traveled was too fast to avoid; and if Xeion were to try and dodge it, the blast would, no doubt, destroy the scenery behind him. The poor birds, the poor flowers, and even the worms under the ground -- Xeion didn't want them to get hurt out of something as trivial as this, but at the same time, he didn't blame Rakey-chan. It was natural. She was scared of the incoming cosmic energy beam, intimidated, so things like this were bound to happen. It was his fault for not explaining it to her. He only wanted to scare her to bring out the courage he knew Rakey-chan had deep in her soul. However, it backfired on him so he needed to bear the responsibility for it.
"I'm sorry, Rakey-chan, for scaring you like that. Please forgive your foolish brother."
With a gigantic boom, the compacted reishi particles exploded into smaller particles of lavender-colored light as soon as it hit its target. When the smoke cleared, there was Xeion -- right hand extended and balled to a fist with blood rushing down his clenched fingers. His right hand, too, was glowing with his own, azure reiatsu energy. He had just used his unarmed signature move, the Forged Iron Needle, to negate and neutralize Rakey-chan's incredible reishi blast. However, Xeion made sure that he didn't use too reiatsu in his Forged Iron Needle much like he would normally so that the excess impact force wouldn't rebound on Rakey-chan and consequently hurt her even from a fair distance away from him. This explained why he had an injury -- he used less reiatsu and more physical energy to stop Rakey-chan's tremendous attack, hence, less padding and protection. Although, Xeion himself thought that it was better that way. As Rakey-chan's adopted brother, it was better for him to get hurt than allow his sister to be hurt instead of him. Like he said before, he loved Rakey-chan too much as well as Rakey-chan trusted in him -- believed in him -- to protect her. He promised to; and Xeion wasn't someone who would break promises.
Standing up just after the aftermath of the attack, Xeion smiled back at Rakey-chan and once again held his hand towards her. Of course, he was in great pain, but if he was to let Rakey-chan worry about him, then everything would be for naught. Rakey-chan needed all the concentration she had in her for this was the crucial moment. Right now, at that exact same moment, he wasn't only her adopted brother anymore, he was also her teacher. As such, a strong persona was needed. He didn't have time to wince at the pain. For Rakey-chan's sake, he needed to be strong.
"Okay Rakey-chan, one more time, okay?" he said politely, charging up another shot once again. "This time though, I'd like you to use that 'Lucky Star' I gave to you to try and negate my blast. Don't worry -- it won't break. As I said before, you just need to believe and everything will be fine. You trust me, right? I hope you do, because I trust in you too."
With a smile, Xeion once again let go of another blast as it headed straight towards Rakey-chan with the same intimidating power it had a second before. Hopefully she would believe him and his words. This time, Xeion knew that Rakey-chan was going to get it right. Rather, instead of knowing, he simply believed in her. She was strong. She won't let something as insignificant as that get the best of her.

After the smoke cleared up the first thing Rakey noticed was her Nii-chan's bloodied fist. She let out a gasp. "I'm so sorry! Xeion-nii!!" La Cuarta apologized. Then he stood up. And spoke to her. "Once more, okay," She nodded.
The same intimidating blast came over, and she gripped the crystal in her hand. "Okay, Believe..." she said to herself. Just as the cosmic energy jetted over to her she summoned the energy within the crystal. Cosmic energy.
With that, a dark purple and black streaked energy emerged from her hand and was big enough just to swallow the cosmic blast. It had her own reiatsu mixed into it, like a cero. A cosmic cero. Shocked by this, Rakey looked at Xeion and asked, "Was that good?".

Xeion nodded. “Yup, that was the stuff I was looking for. Good job, Rakey-chan,” praised Xeion for his sister’s job well done. He believed in her abilities, and he was right. He was absolutely right. Then again, he didn’t doubt her for a second -- not even once. In the span of time he knew Rakey-chan, she wasn’t the type who just gives up. No, she is someone who rises above her own failures and turns those past regrets into her motivation to drive herself forward. She may fall down sometimes, but in the end, she’s always ready to get back up and keep on running towards the future. Xeion, as a brother, was only thankful he can lend a hand in her development. He only wanted to see people achieve their dreams, especially those he cares about. “Okay, one more time, Rakey-chan. This time, I need you to try and counter my attack with a cosmic energy-enforced Cero. If you can’t do that, just a Bala would do good, too. I just need you to get a hang of calling out cosmic energy for now.”
Raising his hands once again, Xeion charged up another ball of cosmic energy in his palm, but this time, it was slightly bigger than what he had sent to Rakey-chan a bit earlier. In a flash, Xeion released it as the jet-black energy sliced through the air with great speed, headed straight for Rakey-chan once again.

"Xeion, Move over, please. I don't knowif I'll hurt you again!" She complained as she held the crystal in her hand again. "...Another Cosmic Cero, okay..." She nodded and said "Ganbarimasu! (I'll do my best)". Sliding her feet into a comfortable stance, her feet were parallel to her shoulders. "I'm ready," she comfirmed as she held the crystal in front of her.
Just as he was charging the cosmic energy she pushed some of her reiatsu into the crystal again, summoning up the cosmic energy as well. The cosmic energy was faster than before, and more menacing. So fast, that in a matter of seconds it was already in front of her. Letting out a gasp, the cosmic cero burst out once more. Much bigger, a deep magenta cero, mixed with black streaks in it. Instead of being scary, Rakey thought this was pretty, but slightly eerie, the cero caused her to have chills running down her spine.
With a low mutter, she said, "...Ex-cero,". Letting out a smile, her eyes changed color from her natural brown to a sudden magenta tint. Then, quickly as it had come, reverted back to the normal brown, since Rakey can't see her own eyes, she didn't notice at all that this had happened. "How did I do this time, Xeion-nii?" she questioned.

Xeion smiled and gave Rakey-chan a ‘thumbs up’ gesture, affirming the fact that she had just done a good job. It was obvious that she was beginning to get a hang of the use of cosmic energy, or at least being able to summon it out of the crystal star which symbolized her and his familial bond to each other, even if that bond was only artificial, though Xeion, like all of his bonds with his other adopted imouto, treated it as real as real can get. He firmly believed that they were family; and didn’t even need blood or matching DNA patterns to prove that. It was more of a bond that goes beyond genetics or human laws -- it was a bond made by their own hearts, of their own free wills. It was also what gave cosmic energy its power -- the feelings, the desire, and everything else, of the person who used it. Cosmic energy responded to the feelings of its user. The stronger the feelings, the stronger cosmic energy gets. In fact, cosmic energy can still rise at a geometric rate, depending on the belief of its user and can grow even more formidable if the user‘s belief is strong and the user’s mood fits the type of cosmic energy being used. Therefore, it’s not surprising why Rakey-chan was able to brandish such a power quickly. Her desire to become strong in order to protect those she loves were all what she needed to call it out. Now that the first step -- calling out cosmic energy -- was done with, it was time to move on to actually use it in melee combat.
“Nice job, Rakey-chan; now let’s move on to actually use cosmic energy in melee combat,” said Xeion, taking out Elena, his zanpakuto, from her scabbard, which was slung over his back, as Xeion swayed her from side to side, her metal body slicing through the air with an audible zing. “Now, take out your sword so we can start with the training. Firstly though, try and gather up as much cosmic energy into your hands, okay? You need to do that first before we can proceed.”
Xeion raised his sword-hand and showed it to his imouto. “Just like this,” he said, and with that, jet black energy raced to his sword arm and began to distort the dimension surrounding it in the form of a hazy miasma. He smiled at Rakey-chan, trying his best to assure her that she could do it. “This may look quite scary, Rakey-chan, but trust me, it’s not. Cosmic energy, as I said before, is somewhat like a manifestation of negative emotions, hence the scary look of it. This is why you need courage and strong emotions to call it out. You can’t afford to get scared if you plan on using this energy in battle,” Xeion explained, “however, I believe that you possess ample courage, Rakey-chan. You can do it -- I have no doubt. You are Las Noches’ Four-Leaf Clover, after all. By that fact alone, one can already theorize that luck is on your side, haha,” giggled Xeion as if trying to lift the mood up to that Rakey-chan won’t get scared.

Rakey smiled seeing that she did well. Hearing Xeion to have her take out her zanapakto- she nodded and lifted her right hand over her left shoulder. Unsheathing Mamoru, she held it forward and saw Xeion's hand glow black with cosmic energy. "I need to do that, I can't be scared..." She convinced herself as she took her left hand and gripped onto Mamoru's hilt.
The crystal on the chain glowed faintly as her hands glowed lavender and changed to the magenta hue. "Ngh!" she grunted as her eyesight grew hazy slightly when her eye color glowed magenta like the color covering her hands. Once her eyes went back to focus she saw the eerie glow around her hand. "Agh!" she murmured confused by the sudden haziness from earlier. "Xeion-nii, Is that good?"

Xeion nodded, answering her question, and returned her enthusiastic smile with his own. It was surprising how fast Rakey-chan learned things and how she was able to quickly pick up on his examples in such a short amount of time. It was like Rakey-chan was born to learn -- her mind was like a sponge in the sea of knowledge. Her comprehension of things surpassed that of normal Arrancar her level, even Espada-level Arrancar, who only knew how to fight and eat. Well, most of them, just like one certain Arrancar he had met quite a long time ago.
Going into his duel stance, Xeion adjusted his body and shifted his weight to his dominant leg, which was extended a little bit forward while his other leg was a little bit back. He held Elena's hilt tight as he gave orders to Rakey-chan, telling her what to do next. "All right, Rakey-chan; what I want you to do now is to attack me. Don't focus on your speed when you swing your sword, just focus on making your strikes as powerful as you can."
With that said, Xeion dug his feet into the ground and prepared for what was about to come next. "Show me what you can do, Rakey-chan."

Her hands had a tingling sensation to them, as if they weren't there but they were. "Is it normal to have tingly hands?" She frowned as she gripped it tighter trying to get rid of the odd tingly feeling. "Melee combat, that's like sword to sword right?" The Espada asked, biting her lip, remembering how bad she was with swords. "What if I'm not that good?" she murmured to herself as the hazy glow began to disappear. "Ah," she gasped as she concentrated again, the glow returning as did her magenta eyes.
After the glow returned around her hands, she stopped concentrating so hard, but the magenta eyes stayed for a slightly longer period of time, before they reverted back to the normal chestnut brown. "Focus on the strikes? Okay... I guess I can do that," she said as she took both her hands and asked, "From here? Wouldn't I not be able to make a hit then? If I'm so far away?" She asked. Since, it wasn't like her zanpakto- could elongate itself and hit him.
