When I go...

I've read way to many to really say I have a favorite. Though right now I have to say, no other book in my memory has captured my attention like Dracula by Bram Stoker. I'm still on my first time through, but it's torture when I'm not reading it. (In fact, I'm reading it right now!)

I used to love Anne Rice. Like... a lot. And then I started thinking about it and she's since fallen out of favor. Her characters are all Mary Sues, and on top of that I made the mistake of adding her official page on Facebook only to find out she's an attention whoring moron. rolleyes I still like to read her books, though. I do so love Lestat, even if he is a giant Mary Sue. My other guilty pleasure [bah-dum tish!] is Laurel K Hamilton. Again, Mary Sues about. But they're so yummy. Even if everything is sexsexsex. Other than that, I love Robert Jordan. He's got an amazing fantasy series that I find to be seriously underrated.

And Oscar Wilde. God, I love me some Oscar Wilde. heart

I really love to read, sometimes I pick up a few books, find a good comfy spot and read all day even haha. I have alot of different genres I am interested but for some reason I'm really drawn to the young adult books. They have such great storylines and characters, and I have several series that I'm reading all at once lol. Then there are the times where I'm am so up for a good romance novel hehe. I also enjoy any kind of book that involves vampyres, fairies, were-animals or any other mystical creature.

My favorite book series are The House of Night, Sookie Stackhouse(True Blood is based off these novels) at the moment.

My favorite book is called How do I love thee, written by Lurlene McDaniel.

A few of my favorite authors are Anne Rice, Stephen King, Lynsay Sands, Charlaine Harris and Emily Dickinson for her amazing poems.

Any book that will bring out a strong emotion is a great book to read in my world smile

I personally enjoy the Silverwing series by Kenneth Oppel, as well as the Blood series by Tanya Huff. Even though Ive only read one book of the latter, it seems really good, so I have to get back into it.

In my earlier years I was a big fan of the Goosebumps series. Thumbs up for 90's stories!

"House of Leaves" is my all-time favorite book. It is a fictional commentary on a fictional documentation about a fictional family that lived in a house which slowly became more and more... Trippy. It's tough to describe; but I suppose the less said, the better. To anyone looking for a book to read during the summer, I would STRONGLY suggest taking a peek at House of Leaves.

Irvine Welsh is my favorite author. He's written books such as Trainspotting, Filth, and Ecstacy. He basically writes about the most unappealing specimen of human beings to never exist. It's an acquired taste. Nostalgie de la boue.

Chuck Palaniuk is probably my second favorite. His writing is sort of nihilistic. He writes about the beauty in how pointless life is. He writes about how you really have to go out in life to experience it. He's the dude who wrote Fight Club, but some other good, less famous books of his are Pygmy and Survivor.

Hubert Selby Jr. is a great author. He wrote my favorite book, Requiem for a Dream. A few other good ones he wrote are Last Exit to Brooklyn and The Demon. His writing really takes you into the mind of the characters to determine cause and effect for various events that unfold.

Anton LaVey, the writer of The Satanic Bible, has some really interesting material. Learning about Satanism was probably one of the best things I've done in my life. It's nothing like you would expect; none of that devil-worshiping bullshit the church has the public convinced that it is. It speaks a lot about the importance of happiness and self-preservation.

Mike Tyson's autobiography, "Undisputed Truth," was a really fun read. Whether or not you are a fan of boxing, it is a very enticing work detailing how Mike Tyson went from a poor black kid in Brownsville NJ, to him becoming the worlds youngest heavyweight champion of the world, to his (bullshit) prison conviction, to his discovery of Islamic religion, to his eventual financial and physical downfall.
