The monk lifted his left hand a little at her question, knowing what she meant. "I feel... the touch of god. A divine presence." he answered abstactly to the questioning of the relic in his hands. When the woman walked off to the washroom, he continued to stand in place, and in his mind, with each bead on the rosary he went past, he recited a small prayer.

He did not objest to her suggestion. Kraun knew nothing about fashion, so he had nothing to gain and nothing to lose. Following her into the clothing store, he flipped his wrist up so that the rosary fell around his left wrist in a double loop.

With the greeting recieved, he bowed slightly to the shopkeeper as he waited for Lucind to do the talking. He never caught the uneasiness of those around him, and if he did, he seemed to not acknowledge it.

A man clad in green leotards, which seemed to have a glint of scales upon them, and wearing a very form fitting orange top, walked towards the front of the store.

Seawater dripped off of him, as he shook his body a bit, trying to "air dry" himself off. A green gloved hand reached up, and ran through blond locks. Crystal blue eyes, stared out, as a small smile formed across his face.

"...Well now, let's see about finding out what I need to know."

He never moved, standing as a statue when the woman shakily took his measurements, nor did he speak. He would have asked what was in Lucind's eye when she winked, even though his eyes were closed and he shouldnt be able to catch it, but he didnt, deciding it better to do so later, as there was usiness at hand at the moment.

Running his fingers down the pile of fabrics in the woman's hands, Kraun felt the textiles and made a general idea of what kinds of clothing it consisted of. Thrice he did this before he plucked at something delicately from the pile and brought it into the changing booth, which was clearly stated what its purpose was.

A moment later, the monk came out, draped in a black flowing chinese styled set of robes. Fairly simple, it seemed to suit his tall and thin body frame well, giving it a flowing liquid like quality to his appearance. Underneath though, he still wore his usual attire of black leather and buckles.

"How do I look?" he asked softly, unsure, as he himself never had an idea of the way he should dress. To Lucind, it would almost be like playing dress up. And to the monk, he was being grateful to let her choose something she liked for him to wear.

She was tempted to say something like, "Beautiful.", but changed her mind and answered:
"Good. Really suits you. - Lemme see..." Lucind walked around him to check the robe's fit and the little price tag dangling out of the left sleeve.
"It's wide enough to wear it over your trousers and the skirt, though you could also leave out the latter.

So, is there anything else you'd like to have? Maybe another pair of trousers or a second robe to have one in reserve, when the other one is laundered."

((just occured to me that in fact we'd have to change into the latent thread...quite bothersome-.-))

Kraun didnt know what she meant by laundered, and upon asking, got his answer. These garments are to be washed when they are dirty, unlike his usual attire, which is almost an extension of himself, never needed washing, as he himself didnt either. With this odd concept in mind, they picked out a second pair and they were on their way, Lucind paying for the clothes before they stepped out and went back into Feimurgan.

When they entered the store, the monk decided he should put the recently bought clothes away, but was trying to determine where to put them; in Lucind's room where he left his robes, or in the cellar where she would have him stay. The monk stood in the middle of the room for a moment, pondering this with a shopping bag in his right hand and the rosary bound around his left wrist before he asked Lucind where was the cellar.

"Ah, you're right. I forgot to show it to you =) - You can either get there by taking the elevator," she pointed it the metal sliding door to the right of the counter,"or taking the stairs."
With that she led on into the backroom and walked down the spiral staircase into the cellar.

At the end of the stairs they looked down a hallway with the elevator door on the left side and another exit before that. To the right, the hallway went on and turned left after several metres, so forming a "U". The room it enclosed was the biggest one down there: it was the kitchen and one could hear the "Chief" already working in it, preparing things for the day.

Taking the hallway to the right, though, led them to another room, its door laying opposite to the spiral staircase. This one, Lucind had decided, should be Kraun's.
She switched on the light.

The room was slightly smaller than the one next to it and right now there were many cartons filled with books, decoration stuff or office articles in it as well as some light, metal shelves - partly filled with other things like reserve bulbs, table lamps etc. - and a table with three chairs which were of the same kind as those on the third floor.

"Bit crammed here, but we can take care of this later. I only fear that at least these shelves and maybe a few of the cartons have to stay," Lucind commentated while shoving some things aside. She then connected one of those small lamps to a nearby socket and together with the two tiny windows on the right wall and the lamp at the ceiling it made the room brighter than the woman would have thought.

"'Kay, where are they?" Kneeling down she started to rummage among all those boxes.
"You really don't have to sleep, hm? But maybe you'd like to have something comfy to sit on...."
Finally she brought a package with four fat, blue candles to light and placed them on top of the table, putting a piece of paper under them. A matchbox labelled with the Feimurgan logo was found soon, too, and she placed it next to the candles.

Finally, Lucind explained what else was down here which in fact were only the kitchen and another storing room for food with a small cold-storage depot.

"I'll give you a key for this room later. And I guess also one for the exit down here." Lucind remembered that Kraun's room in the monastery had never been locked therefore she was kind of curious to see what he would say and do now.

She smiled at him. "Do you have any questions so far?"
The Half-Siren hoped it hadn't been too much input for him.

Following Lucind down the stars and into the lower levels of the building, Kraun opened his eyes and gazed around the large areas. Like the monastery, it was underground, which he didnt have any objections to, as he remained quiet and followed the woman through her tour.

"No," he didnt have any questions when she finished, and he responded with a "thank you." always polite. He set the bag filled with articles of clothing on the table and looked around, completely lost as to what he should do. It was still early in the day, and the cafe hadn't opened yet.

Lucind noticed his hesitation and decided to show him something else of Feimurgan. For that they went into the library section and she told the monk in which way they had arranged the books. It wasn't complicated at all for it was a relatively small library with only around twenty different categories: dictionaries, new and classical novels, scientifical stuff, non-fiction and so on. They were ciphered with a capital letter plus the ongoing number of the book listed in its category. Chances were they had to change this system if they should ever get more space to store books, but for now it was okay like this.

"And all books also have a security code on their back with which we can release it for lending - this works with a computer controlled infra-red reading machine. It also makes sure that the controller at the front door starts to cheep when someone tries to steal a book."

Talking about this stuff gave another idea. "I guess it would be useful for you if I teach you how to work with a computer, because it's another good source for gathering information, for example."

He took note of the books that were arranged and categorized on the shelves of the second floor as he followed her through the shelves as she pointed things out. When she sggested it was probably a good idea that he should learn to use a computer, he took note to do that.

However, before she could continue on, Kraun would interrupt Lucind with a question. "Back in the clothing store, was there something wrong with your eye?" he asked, meaning the wink, as he made note of it even though he didnt ask before.

"...?" She blinked, trying to figure out what he meant.

"Oh, that! - No, my eye was just fine" sweatdrop
"You see, that was a gesture to mark my comment being a joke. Ah, and if you want to know what a joke is...uh, well, it is usually something, a story, news or comment that makes other people laugh or grin. That is, if they find it funny at all."

Lucind frowned and tucked a blue strand behind her ear.
"Communication and interaction between two or more people can be a complicated thing. There're some...basic rules, so to speak, but then people don't necessarily follow them. They pretend and act a lot...not only for bad means.

Suppose it will take you a bit longer to see through this but I'll find a way to explain you this and that. And if you see or hear something you don't understand you can ask me, okay?"

By that, the woman had taken a mental note to see if there were any good books about body language and communication.

"Agreed." Kraun replied formally. It appears that not only does the monk know very little of interaction between two people, but his wording was not very casual either. Speaking with him was like speaking to a machine, whose words did not flow from his mouth like those who speak often or are proficient in the use of the language.

For there was still some time left until the first girls arrived - besides from "Chief" and another guy in the kitchen Feimurgan's staff was completely female - Lucind tried to find out what fields of science the Guldorian monks had teached Kraun.
She picked a book about human biology which dealed about the body's construction, how the organs worked, why people didn't see everything upside down, blood circulation and so on.

"Do you already know these things," she asked, showing him the book's content and after this she proceeded in the same way with other volumes: proofs and theories of evolution; the most popular religions and religious systems; basic knowledge of physics and chemistry; a short history of music and intruments: their origins and development (also including a chapter of Sirenic musical skills); and another book made in the same way, but dealing with literature.
