Durem Main Gate A massive gate that puts Barton's four little archways to shame. There are always several guards posted, keeping an eye open and ready to put an end to any funny business.

A soldier in camouflage stood right in the middle of the gate. Around the gate was a circle of corpses, clearly shot all to hell by the SMG the man had nestled in his arms.
"No one may pass!" he would yell in monotone, repeating every thirty seconds or so.

G-Force, the untried union of two mecha pilots and one samurai of old, had just left the parks of Gaia University. Eileen had headphones on and was staring at the sky, while Isoroku appeared preoccupied with his thoughts. Perhaps it was Lyendi's ears, perhaps it was Eileen's jPhone and the conquering influence of Western music. Eileen seemed completely oblivious to what lay ahead, but most likely her two companions did not.

Durem: Approaching Main Gate
The park seemed relaxing but nothing was really going on there so getting out of it was a good choice. Her thoughts were fluttering about on the name of the team that Eileen had thought of, it sounded like something out of a comic book. She took a glance at Eileen who always seemed to be in her own little world when listening to her music and smiled, Isoroku on the other hand...well...he was just him; the akward silent man. A large gate came into view that seemed almost intimidating to even go through it, however, Lyendi something odd about it, mainly dead bodies on the ground some still twitching and blocking the doorway was a soldier holstering an automatic weapon, "Hold it!", Lyendi extended her arms away from her to stop the other two.

Ikari stopped, his eyes immediately darting forward, towards whatever was responsible for this delay in their march. It didn't take long for his brown eyes to find a gon toting maniac. A strage type of weapon, granted, but familiar enough for him to recognize it as one of those western automatic weapons.
And he knew enough about these automatic weapons to know it was going to chew him up in a minute, if given the chance.

Eileen wandered right into Lyendi's extended arm, apparently not hearing the repeatedly cried "Hold it!", nor noticing her companions sudden stop. She blinked and looked down at Lyendi's arm. "...nani...?" came her quiet voice, and she reached up and slipped off her headphones after tapping the jPhone at her side off.
"...why did we..." she stopped, and stared at the strewn corpses. Then she clasped Sentaku, her Angelic Layer doll, to her breast with one hand, while clapping her other hand over her nose and mouth. She went a bit pale. "hidoi~ ...how cruel~ ...ne ne...lyendi... what's going on?"

The soldier turned to look at the three, raising his SMG threateningly.
"Who goes there?" he called out, his voice echoing unnaturally.

Lyendi motioned with her chin forward at Eileen then gripped the sword's sheath and slowly took a ready stance, "I don't know but it looks like that man up ahead is responsible for the death's of these people.". When the soldier turned to look at them, gun pointed at them with hostility she yelled out to his question, "Maybe I should be asking you the same question. Are you the one responsible for all this?". Lyendi whispered so that only Eileen and Isoroku could hear, "Be ready for anything.".

He had a different idea. One that didn't involve antagonizing the man with the firearm that could mow them all down in seconds. He might be a stranger here, but even he recognized a fully automatic weapon. Just like he recognized he had no projection against such a weapon.
He stood tall, put on his best officer's stance, and answered, "Liuetenant Commander Isoroku Ikari of the Imperial Army. And I demand you lay down your arms and step aside."
Sure, he might not look like much, but he still managed to put that authorative edge to his voice. The one that made sure recruits snapped to rather than doinking around. He projected it loudly, spoke clearly enough that the man should have been able to hear him.

Eileen nodded once to Lyendi's comment, "Un." The look she shot to Sentaku right after was filled with concern and doubt, however. "...ano..." she said after a little bit. "...maybe he's just defending the gate from some evil people... i can't see... is he wearing a g.n.g. uniform?"
She watched Isoroku's answer even as she took a couple steps back. SMGs had always looked so toylike from inside her mecha...this one made her feel a lot less safe. "....i wish i had a mecha right now..." she mumbled to herself inaudibly.

He was, indeed, wearing a GA uniform.
"The Imperial Army? I won't allow you to invade the city!" He released a burst of fire in their general direction. They weren't exactly in his ideal range, but they were a group, and groups made easy targets.

"Inva--", her sentence cut short when the first shot was fired and immediately shoved Eileen out of the way with both of them tumbling into the grass, "What is he talking about?!", Lyendi yelled out. Looks like talking with this man was out of the question, it was three against one but he had the upper hand at the moment.

Hooray for teammates...
Lyendi bothered to save Eileen, but didn't bother trying to push Ikari out of the way. He froze as he watched the gunman, he heard the quickly repeated shots of the SMG. He stood rooted to the ground, mesmerized just for a moment by how fast it was firing, how many bullets there must be in the air.
Not like he could do anything about it.
Not like there was time to dodge for him either. His dirty, unarmored body took a few bullets from the wild fire...
((Critical Roll time for me...))

((I guess we're not waiting for other teammate? Okay, 15 attack on this end vs. Arc's... 20 defense, I believe?
EDIT: Play your salvation however you choose.))

Eileen blinked up at the sky. What happened? She crawled behind a concrete trash can, and struggled to a crouching position, just in time to see Ikari take a few shots. She stared for what was a second or two but seemed like an eternity to her. And that nasty staccato roar echoed in her mind, making her heart wince. She shuddered, and tears fell from her eyes as she turned away and grabbed Sentaku. She needed her mecha. This worked last time...
"...please help me again Sentaku. Ne?"
She took a deep breath, and then sang out in as loud a voice as she could. "The star that shines in the night sky~!" She craned her arm back. "Please shine your light down upon my chosen one!" With as much energy as she could, she threw the angel up in the air. Sentaku soared and spun for a moment, then was bathed in a light that seemed to come from everywhere at once. The doll seemed to come to life, and held out her arms as if in an embrace. "Sentaku! Together now! Manifest HoshiTe!"
The angel disappeared into motes of light which swirled around Eileen's arms and legs. The glow crawled up her body, illuminating her. Large red cylinders clamped down on her forearms and shins, while her bodysuit shifted into a pale red and gray and white. The bodysuit seemed to creep up her neck, sheathing her chin, then upwards all the way into her hair. A green, self illuminated visor constructed quickly over her eyes at the same moment that a ridiculously large gunpod formed before her. She grasped the weapon with one hand, stood, and guarded herself with the other's cylinder. "Materialization Complete" briefly flashed on the visor.
She glared at the GA trooper, even as the visor outlined the uniform and confirmed that it was in fact the Gaian Army fatigues. Bold, amplified and slightly metallic words followed. "I am HoshiTe, Lieutenant of the AeroSpace Defense Force! And in the name of Gaia I will punish you!" This was of course followed by the appropriate anime gestures.
