Shadowed Ruin Outer Rim As the ledges begin to steepen, odd things happen to the ruins. Some structures remain standing, but others have been torn down and formed makeshift walls. A formable ground defence that leaves any who venture in ripe for ambush. The fact that shades patrol the area, and rooks guard the choke points make that outcome likely.

A small group of shades were standing at attention at the outer rim, while a slightly more armoured shade paced in front of them. Perhaps it was breifing them.
"We will head to the Lakeside Ruins. There we will gather supplies and perhaps lay down camp."
"Any questions?"
The lesser shades each saluted.

With the salute finished, the shades marched out to the bleached overlook.
They looked more like campers carrying empty bags than warriors going out.

It wasn't long before another group formed, given just about the same briefing, with one exception.
"We're headed up the mountain's, everyone clear?" This bunch of shades seemed less apparent then the ones that had left before, and it was certainly a smaller group.
It wasn't long until they'd gone.

Slightly ahead of the group, with Raven right next to him, Stryphe quickly made his way through the Outer Rim, weaving in and around the rickety structures and rubble. It was likely that both the miners and the villagers had reliable forms of transportation- all Stryphe and company had were their damned feet. So they had to move.
"The overlook's just ahead! From there it's a little bit of a climb, then a smooth little walk through the forest."
He was either guaranteeing or assuming something- if you really thought about it.

And Hakan was still following, yo. Though keeping his eyes open, even here, for any potential threats.

"Fantastic, more walking." Rivan said with a sigh. He was so sick of walking everywere but he supposed it'd be best to conserve his energy for the coming attack. He considered his attack options. He could freeze the top layer of the Fuel so as not to accidentally ignite it while they were on it. Sigh
He followed Stryphe and Hakan, lost in his thoughts.

Daniel frowned, looking around his body, for signs of this 'barrier' that Sey spoke off. He really couldn't feel it. It didnt' seem like it would be very much.
Best not count on it...
He brought up his hand, waving to the shades as they passed through the inner layer of defenses, on their way out, "Stay strong," he told them. Not that he had ever really heard a shade speak very much. No telling if they knew or understood. But it was part of his own ritual before battle.

Flash Fire...maybe...Blast...that could work... He mentally went over spells that'd be useful. Fire, for the most part, but he decided a few wind spells could work. Fan the flames, he supposed.

Flare followed the group to the Outer Rim, taking her food in gulps and swallows. She needed to eat, but she also felt the need to press on towards her destination.
She hoped Sunstrike was alright. She didn't see him coming after them, and she couldn't wait for him, but...
Maybe he needed a little more time to recover, and was staying behind to rest a bit longer.

Raven rose slightly higher off the ground, occasionally flying completely over the fallen rubble and structures. She concentrated hard on keeping herself up, for this power was in fact the hardest one to control. If she fell flat on her face now, what an idiot she would look like in front of her comrades.
She glanced over her shoulder for a brief moment, taking a gander at the others.

Remember the trail. Start moving correctly. You don't know where they are, they shouldn't get to know where you are. Yes.
Daniel shifted his gait, something that moved quickly, but smoothly, shifting weight carefully as he walked. It took a long time to develop a gait like that. He could probably walk over dry leaves and twigs with nary a sound. Probably, but he wouldn't want to test that right now.
He signalled for the Shades with him to move the same way as they headed for the trail, the vale, and the enemies in the trees.

Sey and Sunstrike with their entorage of Shades trod through the Outer Rim and made their way to the Bleached Overlook.
"Would you like some Jerkey?" Sey offered to Sunstrike and the Shades as they continued the trek.

Sunstrike laughed.
"Nahhh you save it, we might need some later." Dirt and stone skidded as he made his way to the overlook.
