Sunsoaked Clearing The trees thin out, and you stumble into a bright clearing, so far untouched by the conflict. The sun is warm on your skin, the grass soft and thick beneath your feet. Under different circumstances, at a different time, this might be a good place to hold a picnic. The trees to the south seem strangely foreboding, as though something is a little off about them. Every now and then, you think you can see a flash of movement. The village lies in that direction, but what lies between it and you? To the north, the trees are old, seeming as though they will stand there till the end of time. But perhaps they will not; they border the area already harvested by the Skinner Company. There are a handful of bowmen here, hidden among the trees at the edges of the clearing. They will shoot you if they do not recognize you.Quote: Sending a quick runner back, Kalis didn't have to wait too long until a few men showed up with bows and assorted improvised armaments. Telling them to stay at the very edge trees to cover the area but keep clear of sight if they can, sort of breaking his own words by sitting in the middle on a motorvehicle, he turns onward.

Warm and empty. It felt like a good place to settle in, Kalis mused, pulling his bike to a stop and taking a look around him.
The Skinner Company was to the North a bit more. He didn't want to go provoking anyone, but he considered going a bit closer to wait up.

Roaring the engine, he points out one and instructs him back to bring men up after him to the northern Bright Forest.

The clearing was... Wow. Aiolos could probably hold a nice picnic out here. He smacked himself. No use looking at the scenery, he had to find the others, wherever the hell they were...

So far so good for Zen and the bomb squad as they entered the sunsoaked clearing, he only looked back once to see if ayone may have been following them.

His head still slightly turned in back of him, he didn't notice when he cleared the last bit of trees, and winded up shooting forward off another rise, now airbornea as nothing but emptiness greeted him.
"--!"
He wasn't going to crash and break his neck-- but the fact that a place like this actually existed surprised him nontheless.
Hitting the ground, he wa sjostled slightly hard, as he fought for control and maintained his present speed somewhat.
Daylight was fading and he would have to make better use of his time now.
Vahn wasn't here for his own personal reasons.
He was definately no hero. He didn't want to be-- despite what certain situations may have had him involved.
Due to a set fo circumstances beyond his control, he winded up owing his entire life to a man he had never met, nor wanted to meet.
A hired sword, sent in to make nice with the locals and destroy the competition while taking a piece of the exotic intruders for study.
Sure sounded a helluva lot simpler on paper.
"I feel like I should have gotten a code name...." Grumbling softly he continued on his way.

Yaits had been keeping his eyes on the Shades ever since the Aerial assignment, so it was no surprise that once the call to arms for Adventurers into the Vale had gone out-- Yaits already was ready.
All he needed was the perfect man for the job.
Or someone to use in order to test their loyalty.
Under the guise of an adventurer, Vahn was sent to the Vale, armed with what "gifts" Yaits could provide, without making it more than obvious he was involved.
The satellite recon of the Vale had been easy enough, and the Villagers had been more than willing to spill stuff in their sob story to gain more help or maybe even sympathy.
Spending those few days at the Village itself by lazing about had also gained Vahn more than enough intel on where his first objective was located.
So away he sped, moving through the clearing like a bat outta hell.

Her jog coming to a sort of exaggerated walk, Sakura stopped for a moment in the clearing to take a look around her. "Fresh tracks. Boots, it looks like... and... huh. That's weird...."
Waisting no time, Sakura took it upon herself to see what was in the North Forest... area place.

So did he repeat his sin, and pass on to the Southern Forest of Bright without his due formality.
