Rough Trail Shade Occupied. As plains begin to blend to hills the ground becomes much more barren. Rather than endless grass, the plant only grows in tufts around stones. Lucky for a traveller, there's a well worn path through the foothills.
Amend:There be Shades here! Diligently working on a massive structure over the mouth of the trail were 20 pawns, busily hammering away at the blockade. All the way up the path messengers were coming and going, giving scout reports, and bringing more supplies. The place was alive, even more so after the defeat at the Lake. Bishops busily wandered about healing darkmatter wounds, and even helping to bandage some of the human elements.

"You know this reminds me of..."
One shade tried to kick up a conversation, but realized an important fact. Not all shades were blessed with speech. And he couldn't quite remember how to connect to do the mind speaking thing.

Slice...Wha- Rivan fell flat on his face as he walked in this barren over pass. He could taste dirt in his mouth and he spit on the ground. The offending object was a small rock jutting up from the ground. He growled as he ripped up the rock from the ground. He throw the rock as far as he could and sent a well aimed Fireball at it.
He watched it explode with satisfaction and turned back to the trail.

And onto the rough trail, still jogging and in damn good shape. Stryphe took the beaten path- there was no need for anything else right now.

As they came into the barren, broken land, Daniel put up his hand, flashing it before the shades. Diamond Fire Team formation. Not that he thought it was needed here, but it would be good practice on switching formations.
A moment, and it was done. A bit slow, but servicable as everyone adopted the new grouping.
Well, at least it looked like they would have quite a nice little march to practice before they got into the thick of it.

Stryphe, Hakan, Rivan, Raven and Flare moved onto the plains. They moved like the wind, and soon, they'd almost be the wind.

"Come on..." he told his ragtag little band. He stepped off the trail, heading into the broken, jagged ground, navigating a careful trail for the shades. He poked carefully, testing the ground before he lead the shades through.

The shades quietly ran to catch up with their group leaders at the bottom. Well...quietly but not silently.
"And then he said....But why? I'm a fungi..."
"Really? ...this is supposed to be amusing?"
"Obviously so...though why females would date mushrooms is a little out of my knowledge..."

Lennes troops ran down the path quickly to catch up with their leader. These were silent as they moved, stealthily and quickly.

Burdened the group carrying jagged rocks moved onwards, only to be met up with reinforcements from the village, also as on order.
Together the large group of shades moved on to the valley.

V stoped as he looked at the path from a little bit above before ti begane to winde. Here, this was a great set up for more stuctures they had supplies and V orderd them to begin to dig holes into the sides of a few tactical hills. V made sure that the shades saved the top soil with the grass still mostly intact so that they could place it over their bunkers. As the shades began to work V notices a jaged cliff and motioned for the few remaning shades that were not working and one last bundle of supplies to follow him.

V decided to acualy insted of supplying the already fortified defense zone with more supplies to use them to actualy build safty locks on the bunkers and re-enforce them. The shades had also dug tunnles below the hills and set traps for when people walked over the path a shade could that was watching could pull a leaver to open a trap door either to a painful death of sharp rocks and blades or to a capture depending. V then headed out to the Cresent plains taking one of his kunai and slaming it and wearing it down so it looked old like a momento and strung it loosly around his kneck on a spair peice of string the shades had. That would be the key part of his plan.
