Just get him to watch an episode of it without telling him about the gay-ish characters... unless of course, he already knows...
But if he doesn't like it, he doesn't like it. You can't just make someone like something.

um...well i like Loveless!! and im a guy...or do i not count because im Bi....but b4 i was bi i watch fake and gravitation...the anime just has to catch a guys attention!

Loveless... is my most favorite anime!!!! and I'm a guy I'm straight... comming from me... all you have to do is go up to him.. and say.. "you should watch Loveless, it'll give us something to talk about" like you're flirting with him... that should work.. ^____^ I got into Loveless cause I'm weird.. so tehehe I don't know if it'll work.. ^___^

Honestly...
I was just looking for torrents to download with my new spiffy software when I found Loveless.
With anime like that, it must be gradually introduced, not shoved down one's throat.
