Portals Profiles This is just a thread for profiles of characters posting in Portals RP. I don't have a form exactly, but your profile should include at minimum your character's appearance and race. You may post your character's history and power(s) as well as hidden equipment if you like, or PM that information to me. As Game Master, I do need to know your character's power(s) and equipment. I have veto power, though I don't plan to use it much. Only Wanda can make the portals, and she will be reluctant to trust anyone who blocks her telepathy. When you pass through a Portal, the magic of it grants a kind of universal translation ability to speak and understand any language heard, although patterns and word choices may vary. This does not include reading, though you may write according to your own alphabet and those who write using the same alphabet will likely understand your writing. Possibly useful Skills your character may have (others are fine, too, just run them by me so I know): Accounting, Acrobatics, Acting, Animals (can include Riding), Artist, Boating, Carpentry, Cooking, Computers, Dancing, Demolitions, Disguise, Electronics, Escape, Fighting (pick a style), Fishing, Forgery, Gambling, Jeweler, Juggling, Leatherwork, Languages, Lip Reading, Literature, Lock-picking, Mathematics, Mechanics, Medicine, Merchant, Metalwork, Music (type), Navigation, Negotiation, Performance, Poetry, Pottery, Research, Sculpting, Science (pick field of study), Seamanship, Shadowing, Sleight of Hand, Sports (type), Style (pick an environment), Survival (pick an environment), Teaching, Ventriloquism, Weaponry, Woodworking Possible Powers (may be from magic, psionics, mutant ability, or alien ability): Absorb Attacks, Aid (Heal), Armored, Better Move/Senses, Change Environment, Cling, Darkness/Silence, Desolid, Drain, Detect, Energy Blast (pick type), Entangle, Extra Functioning Limbs (tail, wings, etc.), Fly/Glide, Grow, Illusions, Invisiblity, Life Support, Light/Sound, Mental Attack, Mind Defense, Mind Control, Mind Link, Mind Scan, Missile Deflection/Reflection, Regeneration, Shape Shift, Shrink, Stretch, Telekinesis, Telepathy, Teleportation, Transfer Your character will be more interesting and fun if he/she has at least one flaw. Here are some examples: Absent Minded, Appearance: Unattractive or Unusual, Kleptomania (steals just for the fun of it), Bad Vision/Hearing, Always follows a Code of Conduct, Missing body part, Compulsive, Never kills, Delusional, Overconfident, Greedy, Phobic, Has Taken a Strict Vow, Shy, Gullible, Inconvenient Size, Speech Impairment, Totally Honest

Wanda Ring is an attractive human female in early adulthood with long hair and yellow eyes. She can open portals and has the powers of teleportation and telepathy. She is a bit self-conscious of the fact that she is shorter than most women.
Skills: Acrobatics, Dance, Survival (forest), and Weapon (gun).
Powers (Mutant): Teleport self/others (including portals), Telepathy (reads/speaks to minds).
Flaw: Never kills (though maiming is OK if provoked).

(nick name: jr.(junior)) Skills: Computers, Demolitions, Electronics, Survival (City/Space) Powers (Psionic): Cling (can walk on walls but, can only use feet, and works best on hard surface *thinks of balloon people and shudders*) Flaws: Inconvenient Size (he is 4'7'') claustrophobic Discription: Jr. looks like a 12 year old boy. he is also short. he has red hair and blue eyes. he weilds two hand guns and packs granaide for extra mesure. he is a super genious when it comes to computers.

This Portals is a bit different than what you're used to, ruri. Wanda's character takes the place of both Darin and his wife, and Portal Central is wherever Wanda is. Jr ("Jay Are" or "Junior"?) will not have the same past Izzy had, though he can have all the same powers and skills. But it' a brand new game.
For all interested parties: If you don't like the setting Wanda is in at the moment, let me know where you would like her to meet your character and I'll send her there next. 3nodding wink

Name: Wolven-Dream (Wolfy, Wolven or Dream for short.) Skills: Acting, Animals (Speak to/Ride any), Artist (including poetry, dance and drawing work techniqally should include acting too but oh well...), Disguise, Learning by sight, survival (anywhere really except cities) Powers: Aid, E.F.L (wings that vary, Wolf tail and wolf ears), Fly/glide/hover, magicary (is that a word?... can use magic spells and books like that.), Shapeshift Flaw(s): Appearance (wolf tail, wings and wolf ears would throw people off), shy, gullible, Totally Honest, Abesnt Minded at times (forgets sometimes), at times will snap at people Discription:  (Just add black wolf tail and ears. she can retract her wings.) She wanders the woods of areas since most towns, villages, castles and cities reject her for her shapeshift and ability to learn from sight. she has a silver staff with an elaborate dragon statue on the top which holds a power crystal. she also has two swords and several daggers. she uses her magic to manipulate elements to her advantage (i.e. calls fire balls, snow, raises piles of earth for a sheild ect.) she also uses her fangs claws and wings. (I hope this is ok. tell me if i need to change anything because i may have messed up.)

It's perfect! I love the pictures you use to describe your characters! And the current setting sounds perfect for you, so jump right in to the story in Portals!

don't worry, she's limited in how she learns by sight. she has to focus on watching carefully but she'll never learn the portal thing your character does.

Right. You can't learn to fly if you don't have the wings/magic/power. She can learn skills, but not powers.

I'm holding for Alihen to play her part with the guard before the girls join Izzy at the front gate, but it's not taking as long as it looks. In game time, just seconds would pass. blaugh

Catsue looks like the pic only no tatoos, and different clothes.  Skills: Acting ("I meant to do that"), Disguise, Lip Reading Powers: Minor healing only (slight cuts, bruises, nothing big), Illusion Weakness: A Total Klutz!
