Hobbies:Music -- Jackson is proficient in guitar, cello, piano, and singing. He is one of those people where music might as well be in his blood. If he isn't playing an instrument or singing himself, he constantly has music in his ear via a pair of over the ear bluetooth earphones. He likes at least a little of every music genre and at least appreciates the music he doesn't exactly like. Music for him makes more sense than people and it is a source of comfort and stability.
Art -- Jackson has studied and is skilled in various forms of art, but his preferred methods right now are acrylic painting, cross stitch, and scratch art. Like music, he appreciates all forms of art and will try anything at least once, delving more into those styles that catch his interest. His studio apartment is both cozy and a testament to his hobbies, with easels and art supplies neatly stacked along every wall.
Virtues:Loyal -- Jackson prefers a small group of people he cares about and he cares about those people very deeply. His loyalty is not blind, based on his own observations of people and their actions, but once you've earned it, you will likely never lose it, not really. Even if betrayed, he has a tendency to hope that they will redeem themselves to him… someday.
Forthright -- Jackson is very honest and straightforward. He knows when it is best to not speak the truth or when to say it in a way that is maybe not the whole truth, but we will never lie. It is better to not say anything than lie. Usually he just doesn't say anything, but is more than willing to speak up if he thinks the situation calls for it.
Perceptive -- Jackson is the kind of person who notices the slightest thing about people, events, and the things around him and remembers them. The one time six months ago that you mentioned off hand that you like purple peonies, the fact that you said one thing and then contradicted it a minute later, the fact that you used to wear a wedding ring, and he has the mind to connect all of these observations together.
Flaws:Pushes people away -- He prefers a small group of close people he cares about so he tends to be very prickly with people outside of that group. He is also rather guarded and so doesn't really trust that people want to be his friend just for the sake of friendship. Everybody wants something and if he has the people he needs (cares about), why would he need anyone else? His weapons are his words and he can usually get people to give up on him with one prickly conversation. If you show your worst side from the beginning, no one is surprised and you are less likely to get hurt later.
Blunt -- Jackson doesn't really care about telling people outside of his circle what he thinks they need to hear and how much it offends or hurts them. He cares about his people and will soften the blow of the truth or his comments for them, but outside of that, why should he? So he is very blunt with other people and will outright say things if he thinks they need to be said.
Oblivious About Himself -- Jackson is really perceptive about other people and the world around him, but not nearly so perceptive about himself. This leads him to be slightly hypocritical when he give people advise or tells them what to do. For example, he always ends up as the matchmaker for people but when people are blatantly obvious about their affections for him, he tends to brush it off or assume a misunderstanding before even considering that they actually like him. He can also sometimes come off as arrogant because of this but it isn't that he thinks he's better than anyone else, he is really just trying to help but doesn't see the hypocrisy in some of his statements.
