Name: Mako Stage: Peddler Race: Water/Geian Gender: Male
Age: 18-22 Height: ~5'5" Status: Single
Parents: Emiyn, Yokka Sibling: Ronan
3 Base Traits: Polite, Playful, Hardworking
Personality: Though not the rascal that he used to be, Mako still likes having a bit of play in his life. He's a hard worker, and is trying to find a way to balance that with fun. Growing up on a ship taught Mako a respect for having a routine while being flexible enough for a change of plans. He likes having all his ducks in a row, but the occasional goose will line up instead, and that's okay!

Prentice – Class Affinity Solo Merchant
The day was warm and sunny, the air coming off the ocean crisp and salty, and port town was bustling with activity. In the passing crowd, Mako stood looking rather downtrodden at a list in his hands. The scrawls were neatly laid out in rows, and most of the rows had a line of coal scratched over them. A couple of those lines had extra notes, but only a couple. A handful of unmarred lanes remained, the list dwindling like his hopes. He let out a sigh and readjusted his legs to stop himself from the gentle swaying his sea legs automatically fell into. It should have been easy enough to get work around the port. His family was known well enough and the ship was in good standing with local businesses.
The timing though… just didn’t seem to be right. No traders were hiring; and if they were, it was for manual labor. While he could do manual labor, he didn’t really want to do it. He got enough of that back on the ship. He could just stay on with the crew if he wanted that. He couldn’t help wondering if it was even meant to be as each business denial was crossed from his list of employment options.
He had been going through an internal battle for years now. He could feel the pull of the land. A solid building that people came to for goods and services. One location, no traveling for months at a time. He was drawn to it. After being raised on the ship, it almost felt blasphemous to consider any other life. He knew deep inside that the fear was silly. His family would be happy as long as he was. It ate at his dreams and made him doubt himself.
The idea of spending the rest of his life on the ship was enough to make him pick his head back up and go on to the next shop. Mako knew what he wanted. It wasn’t exactly within the family business, but that in itself seemed to run in the family! His mother had left the farm for the ships, and now Mako would leave the ships for the shops.
