The boutique wasn't the fanciest around, but it sure had some interesting items inside. Wares from around the world were sold in the expansive shop. Really, if one wanted to buy something, one had to either know what they were looking for or have it ordered; otherwise, hours could be spent searching the dusty shelves and stacks of the store.
Of course, getting lost was part of the fun as well.
Willow wasn't sure what she was looking for. She never did. Wandering through the aisles was entertaining enough. She just wanted to see what the world had to offer. One day, she would be out there traveling... just not yet.

Mako walked into the shop eagerly, but stopped short when faced with the organized chaos of the selections. What was this? He looked over his shoulder to his companions with a slight wrinkle in his brow. "This place is a mess. I know we've got that old birthday money to spend, but maybe here isn't the place?" He had heard about the shop from a couple fellow shipmates and had been forced to wait until they returned to Belrea to visit. The story of endless items of every conceivable source had been enticing and mysterious. The coins were burning a hole in his pocket.. but now that he was looking at the huge warehouse, how would they find anything in this place?

A boutique, really? It was way too fancy a place for his tastes. Ronan curled his lip as they walked into the large shop and his expression only soured more with the ringing of the bell as the door closed behind them. When he was younger maybe the fancy knickknacks and such would have made him excited, but he knew that there were far more adventures in the ocean than there would ever be within a shop. Plus, he enjoyed finding things to earn him coin not the other way around where he came all the way here to just trade away his earnings! “Does it matter? If we can find something here then that means we can find something actually fun quicker.” He gave a slight shrug towards his brother. “What about that? Don’t want a fancy candle holder or some of those scented pouches?” Ronan knew he could be a complete sourpuss, but it didn’t help that even he wasn’t certain what to spend his money on. Clothing was something he just patched up, ale was something he could steal from other crewmates whenever they weren’t paying attention and he could always sneak pastries from the ship’s kitchen. His best purchase ever had been the dagger that he kept at his side, the elegant and curved blade purchased at a Matori port and imported from Oba. There was also a couple of things he had gotten in Kahi that he cherished, but other than that Ronan just preferred hoarding whatever he could until something truly caught his eye.
“Here…a quick way to find something.” Ronan waved towards a geian girl who was browsing nearby. “Hey! Have an idea of somethin’ interesting here for someone to buy?” He called out with a grin, always opting to be annoying as possible with no care in the world for how others viewed him.

Unlike Ronan, Imani was actually interested in shopping and seeing whatever wares they could find. He was also more efficient in saving coin and had earned more from doing errands whenever the Misty Maiden was docked in port. Helping Fran also had its benefits as he gained knowledge and a bit of extra spending money from the older geian who served as the ship's healer. So he was more than content to try to figure out the shop. "Perhaps a mess can hide something worthwhile. We may as well at least look around for a few minutes first." Mused Imani towards Mako before sudden yelling had him freezing in place. "Ronan...did you really?" Imani's cheeks darkened with embarrassment as he looked towards the poor girl that his friend had yelled at.
"You don't have to mind him, not really." Imani spoke up with a small smile, nodding his head politely at the girl before jabbing Ronan in the ribs with an elbow and whispering sharply. "Can't you behave for just one day?"

Willow found an old box and had the contents scattered in front of her; about three dozen tiny animal figurines. Cute. She glanced over when the small party entered the shop, brow immediately cocking with interest. That was a fun looking group if she'd ever seen one! She started putting the loose items back into the box eagerly.
By the time she finished, someone called out loudly. She looked up. Oh! They were coming to her! Rather than be annoyed, her friendly grin spread excitedly along her full lips to giggle at the trio's antics. "It's no trouble at all for a few cuties like you. There're lots of ideas. It'll depend on what you find interesting." She innocently helped herself to walk over to the group and insert her presence into the party. "What sort of 'interesting' are you all looking for?"

Mako gave his brother a roll of his eyes. "You know, some of us do find looking through shops fun." He knew he was a little on the odd end of the plank with that opinion, but the art of shopping had been growing on him over the years. Every shop had the potential to hold even one surprising treasure... Like that young lady Ronan was now yelling at! Mako's cheeks flushed bright and he was grateful to have the others there to keep the attention off of him! Still, he couldn't help an amused snort at Imari. "You say that as though he's ever behaving in the first place."

"And that's why some of us are borin'." Quipped back Ronan with a mischievous grin towards his brother, deciding to ignore the commentary from the other two boys about his behavior once the girl came their way. She was interested! Hah! Would ya look at that? "I'd rather be known as dashin' but I'll take it." Replied Ronan with a smirk towards the girl. He knew he had a good feeling when he called out to her! Not that it took much to encourage him with how vain the boy could be, praises made him immediately perk up even if the compliments were a bit on the more dainty side for him. "I'm glad to have someone pretty mindin' me for once. Name's Ronan by the way and we'll take some advice about what to do after this place." There were too many guys in the crew minus the few older ladies that felt more like family and Fran who fit into her own cranky category. Maybe shopping wasn't such a bad idea after all if it meant they could do something fun once they were finished here. "Do they sell weapons here? Maybe some cool lookin' artifacts? Other than that I'm just ready to go somewhere fun once you lot have yer pick of items." Seriously shopping for fancy knickknacks and the like when they had a whole adventures worth of loot whenever they got good trades across the world? If they were visiting a blacksmith then he could fully support it while this was just...well he didn't even know what to expect from this. A nice scarf or something for colder nights on the ocean when they ventured into areas like Yael or northern Belrea? He picked at a notebook, turning the leather material over in his hands before offering it towards Imani. "You like notes and stuff, that work?"

"Fair enough." Imani chuckled at Mako's comment despite his frustrations with Ronan. Somehow it made him a bit endearing with how reckless he could be. At least he wasn't harmful towards others...usually. Perhaps a bit loud and very good at infuriating some, but he wasn't the one that threw the first punch save for very rare occasions if someone else was getting insulted and he got angry on their behalf. And a pretty stranger like this geian? Well she was most definitely safe from him, unless she despised compliments and whatever flirting the teen attempted.
"A notebook is convenient." Imani replied as he took the smaller book from Ronan. "What about you, Mako? See anything yet?" There was also an ink and quill set nearby that looked nice enough, it seemed they were in the stationary area of the store which would explain Ronan's boredom with the place already. He was never much of one for reading and the like. "I suppose then you'll be sticking with us then, miss. I prefer things like this but the others have their own interests." He held up the notebook, content with the find for now.

Willow didn't bother hiding how she looked Ronan over before a playful smirk rose. "I think you need a little more hair on your chest before 'dashing' comes into play," she teased lightly. "But, the potential is there, Ronan." With an amused hum, she turned to look out along the expansive aisles. "I wouldn't be surprised if there are weapons lying about. Honestly, I've never been through the whole place yet. It always seems to be changing somehow, though it looks like nothing ever moves. Never really know what you'll find here."
She looked over at Imani with surprise, but then grinned brightly. "Well, if you don't mind me 'sticking' with you, then yeah, I'll tag along. It'll certainly be more interesting than wandering around on my own. My name's Willow."

Mako had turned his attention to the aisles already, wandering off to peer down the other paths. It really did look like a bit of everything was here... "I see lots of things," he replied. When he looked back at the group, he did so with an exaggerated glare at his big brother. "I'd see a lot more if someone would stop fussin' about doing what someone else wants for a change." Their parents liked them to stick together on land, but he was growing more and more curious about what could be found here!

Ronan pursed his lips before relenting. "Potential? Nah, it's more of a guarantee. Just give it a few years." He reassured her, puffing out his chest as if that would prove he would be there before long. Not that he wanted to be like some of the crew with their overly masculine looks, but it would be nice to be older with more muscles to show off. "Ya sure this ain't run by pirates or somethin? It's definitely a mix of everything." The more he looked around the more scattered the various goods for sale seemed to be. If there were weapons in the mix then it would be easy enough for him to assume that they somehow got product from pillaged ships!
He huffed as Imani got the bright smile and then huffed even more as Mako started to get after him. "Fine, fine. Let's just look around then 'fore the pirates think you have somethin' good to nab." Ronan teased as he brushed past his brother, guiding the way down another path that he chose at random. Though maybe he shouldn't have spoken so loudly if there were actually pirates involved? Either way he didn't even care as he started browsing through the aisle picking at some fancy letter openers and the like. Did that mean they were close to daggers or something? Now that would be something he was interested in!

Imani winced, the teen actually having the courtesy to look around and hope that no one was eavesdropping on them. How did any shop owner take to someone just loudly making pirate claims? In a port city at that! They were by the ocean with plenty of ships docked nearby! There could actually be some pirates afoot, so how would they react to such a statement? Suddenly the shop seemed to be full of a lot more shadows than before.
"My apologies for him. As you can tell we have a lively group." Imani managed as Ronan started walking ahead of them, the other teen's temper something that Imani was accustomed with by now. "My name is Imani and that's Mako, Ronan's brother." He gestured to the other teen before offering a small smile, feeling a bit sheepish about the wildcard of the group and his display. "We'll see what lies ahead then, if you're certain that tagging along is for the best. We definitely won't deny your company, it's more than welcome." While he wasn't one to throw himself at others like Ronan, Imani did recognize a cute girl and wasn't going to shove someone who was also seemingly very polite away. So far she hadn't given him cause to worry and it kept her in their sight, just in case. "Ah, looks like he found some pointy things. His favorite." Imani whispered, a soft chuckle leaving his lips as he watched Ronan go ahead of them and start picking up things that looked like letter openers or even daggers.

Willow looked over the trio she was suddenly spending time with and smirked lightly. They all had potential, really... Would she get the chance to see what that potential turned into though? Such was life near a port. She chuckled at Imani and shook her head. "Nah, nothing to apologize for. It's good to have a little spunk around here." She took a few quick steps to join the group and let her gaze wander over the various wares again. "Ooh, I bet this place has some perfect pirate treasures." Imani's whispered observation got a laugh from Willow as well.

Relieved that they seemed to finally be moving along, Mako looked at Ronan with a concerned glare. "Hey, I don't have anything for pirates," he insisted just in case any pirates were listening in. He was surprised to see the girl actually join them, and gave her a small wave when he heard Imani introduce him. Across the aisle from Ronan was a stack of colorful hats. With a playful grin, he grabbed a bright yellow hat and tossed it onto Ronan's head. "There. Goes with your personality, yeah?"

"What? Can't we just use our fists or these?" Replied Ronan, his voice something akin to what he would consider a whisper even though it came out harsh and a bit louder than what others may have wanted in their current situation. As he spoke he had picked up a few little knives, mostly slender ones that could be used for throwing or just decorative purposes even with how elegant they looked, and Ronan spread them out in his hands like claws as he showed them off to Mako.
The next thing he knew a hat was being tossed on his head and the teen gave his brother an annoyed look. Like really? "That ain't gonna cut it if we hafta fight soon." He protested, shaking his head until the thing went towards the shelf. "Ya can stick with that, I'll keep with these. " He carefully shook the knives in his hands, the blades shining in the sunlight that came through the few store windows. Then he spotted a bright pink hat with feathers which he nodded towards. "There, that one can fit ya."
