House of Dragons
Welcome children of Dragon blood

╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════▨✥▨═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗

Introduction:
Located in a remote mountain valley lies a remote and dilapidated village; it's original inhabitants having been long absent for some unknown reason. This is especially evident given nature seems to be well on the way in reclaiming it's land; plants, trees, vines and other greenery are attached and growing over much of the buildings here. Despite being abandoned, a healthy stream and remnant crop field still lay in close proximity; showing this place is capable of sustaining life once again, even if there may be other issues in the way of that. Amidst the destruction, as many buildings seemed to have been burned or doors/ walls broken down, those walking through can find more signs of the life that once lived here. Toys of various children lay in entryways, inside, and the streets; some burned, some half buried, and others that had seen better days. Some bikes, and carts, also litter the streets; in various states of disrepair. There even seemed to have been a sign with the name of the town or for buildings...but many, if not all, are worn away to unreadable levels.

The fields a bit beyond the village, and near the forest, is overgrown if stable. Those that are perceptive enough may be able to note that certain sections seem to be smaller than the rest; perhaps even recently harvested. They would also note a kind of tracks, perhaps a cart, that would lead away towards the forest. After crossing the field one would see a massive and vast forest, with trees easily reaching fifty or more feet in height...and a gate leading deeper into the forest and up the mountain. Only by following the faint and almost entirely overgrown path could one find the hidden shrine. What lies in greatest contrast to the village is the shrine; seeming to be almost ancient, and one that is in much better repair than the rest of the ghost village. What the shrine could have been too is undetermined; it almost seems a bit Mistral in design but until today this village was unknown to have existed. The building itself, while not very tall, seemed to be relatively big. The lights are lit inside, almost invitingly so. Atop the gate seemed to be a strange script, seeming freshly carved, into the wood. This is where the students instruction to their destination ends; all that is left is for them to enter the building.

Layout of the shrine:
Bedroom:

The rooms are fairly simple in design and plain; looking much like the images above. Each has a sliding "window" one can use to help control the light levels that come into their rooms, and each holds room for up to two futons. The closet space in there is sparse, but there are a few areas to store any belongings at least.

Bath(s):

Towards the back of the shrine lie the public baths for it; two separate ones that are divided by a wooden fence. Each has a partially hidden system to pump in warm water and circulate it out to be cleaned. The entrance to it has no door to close though.

Dojo/meeting room:

Housed in the building connected to the right of the main shrine, this dojo is about 30 feet wide and 30 feet long; having a few sliding panel doors to exit the building itself besides the wooden hallway leading to the main building. Various weapon racks and practice equipment lay neatly sorted in the room, and the walls seemed to have symbols in a language script that would be unfamiliar to many of them.

Dining room:

While not a typical one like many would be accustomed to, this dining room hosts many short tables and floor pillows to act as seating. Having a fair few dividing walls that could be used to allow for varying levels of privacy. It also has a small seating area for those no longer eating and just desiring to sit around and chat.

Back of the shrine:

A fairly unremarkable spot in the back of the shrine that has it's own well; one of the main and most convenient water supply for the inhabitants. A path leads away from there and deeper into the mountain forests; where exactly the path leads to is unknown at this time.

Garden in middle of shrine 1, 2:

The garden in the middle of the shrine, a spot open to sun and nature, is overflowing with greenery and stone-work decorations. A small stone path runs through it, where a few bonzai trees (and others) grow. In the center of it lies a pond that goes about 10 feet wide at any point; with a small wooden bridge running over it. Inside this small pond some koi fish still swim freely in it's waters.

The invitation:
A letter to given to the students attending the tournament of the dragon reads as follows:

"You have been selected for a mandatory course during your free days due to your performance at Beacon. The headmaster was unsure how to help you, but I see the potential for great things within each and everyone of you. Characteristics that, if brought out, will lead you all to greatness and aid you in your future struggles as huntsman and huntresses. So with that, consider this your formal invitation to the Tournament of the Dragon; a week long trial, at the least, where you will be tested on your individual abilities along with your abilities to work together. Those who particularly excel in the tournament may receive more than just high marks, so I encourage you to give it your all in the coming trials. While a dragon alone is formidable, a thunder of dragons is unstoppable. Below this message I have attached a map, and transport, to your testing site. It will be a journey far from Vale's walls because a huntsman is rarely within the safety of them. Make sure no one else sees this, knows more of this than necessary, or follows if they do not have an invitation; the trials must be faced in seclusion. Be strong and determined if you want to emerge from this as dragons.
Your Instructor, Sinn."

The transport to there is an armored bus of sorts, which would collect all the dragons, and was supplied with food and water for the three day trip. It lead them up to the village but not further than that; it would depart as soon as everyone was off, ensuring everyone got off the bus.

It had started with a letter. A parchment of paper with words he never thought to see from anyone around here. A copy of it on his scroll, which had awakened the young man from his slumber that day. The contents of the letter itself, held a most surprising sequence. "A tournament of dragons." He was actually picked for this? What about the others? From that question, Pyrve had been the only other one to have received the invitation, but that information was unknown, until the time he had made it to the meeting place for the bus.
Narkyena had to wonder exactly what had given the school the ability to have seen his performance. !!!! Maybe it was the successful work he had done in the weapons class with the pencil!? Ever since that day, and the air blimp from the water tournament., he had been believing to be protected by Sylvan spirits, a boost of his confidence from the Halloween ball with Aeralin boosting it a bit as well. What could he say? He ate an eyeball he had believed was real!!! This was another story all together. Narky was still hanging in good spirits since, regardless. Expected from him. His optimism and belief held no bounds, which tied well when he had read the letter. "We're going to be gone for a week to The tournament of the Dragon!?" Having no idea what it meant, the consideration of dragons being involved at all was the exciting part of this invitation. A shame he couldn't say a word to anyone!!! Having to hold in this amount of excitable details was excruciating!!!

Since words were unable to be said, the young man had to hide his secrets from the others, keeping a small baggage case under his bed. Through the week he had secretly filled the contents up, only adding to it when all was asleep. Even on his day of leaving, Narky had said not a single word to all, choosing to have set an alarm for 5am. It gave him enough time to leave a note for the team, and head out with baggage and all, stopping by the armoury to grab his weapon. His fly swatter and bubbles he had almost left behind, but remembered them just before he had left. Hopefully the note would work~!
"Dear Rey, Aralin, and Pyrve~. I will be gone for a week in the woods to go fairy discovering. I have been told a good spot from one of the teachers, so I know I'll be safe!! See you all in a week! Love Narky."
Simple, and to the point. Narky did not enjoy lying to them, but he had to follow the letter's instructions... All while almost throwing out the letter in forgetfulness as to why he had wrote it. His lie on the matter would prove to show he was not the only one to actually be there for the get together.
when Narky had reached the bus stop, he had been the first one there. Feeling bad on lying to his teammates, his face had lit up when Pyrve had arrived to the scene later onward. How unsuspecting! What a delight to see her there! She was a mystery as it was, and to see her there now, he could take comfort in knowing this was a chance for them to get to know each other better. Team build up~!!! "Good morning miss Pyrve! I hope my letter hadn't worried you!!! If you're here for this... It makes it more comforting to know!" All to happy to see his leader, Narky woke up a bit better with energy, knowing he wasn't going to be alone on this trip. There was nothing better than sharing an experience with company~! Unfortunately, as the others had arrived, he grew completely wavered, before looking up at the armoured bus, and back at them. Were all of these people getting onto the bus too? Gripping the bubbles in his pocket, he hung onto his book in his other pocket, keeping both hands hidden with a shy smile. "Welcome everyone!! I hope we a-all have a good time." Bowing his head to them, he smiled towards Pyrve, before boarding the bus, taking a window seat at the very front. Getting comfortable with all his things, he was patient, awaiting until all were also aboard, almost jumping out of his seat when the bus had began moving. "Th-this is my first time on a vehicle!" Saying this to either himself, or towards whoever had chosen to sit with them, Narky had then paid attention towards the window itself, gasping in awe once the city of Vale was behind them all. How far were they going!? That was the biggest question in his mind.

For day one of the ride, he had a lot of problem remembering all the names around him, and forgetting his own name at times, having chosen to remain to himself, all while writing names down into his book in order to remember. That was the easiest thing to do, on a bus full of people! A good thing it had concluded, as his short term memory loss had seemed to carry itself on day two, where he had to look into his book multiple times. Outside the window, he had taken in the change of scenery, red hues scouring through their visions. He couldn't pay attention to the details of the scenery itself, more so taking the time to stick his head and a hand out the window, letting the breeze hit him head on. "Weeee..." In his own little world, he had done the "my hand is a dolphin" motion along the wind, though was humming about catching wind pixies. It wasn't until he had been told to bring himself back in had he sat back down, his already messy hair windswept fierce. This hadn't stopped him from doing it over ten more times through the day, until it was time he had slept.
On the final day of the ride, his long term memory had taken over during sleep, and he had woken up near their location, thinking he had been kidnapped by strangers alongside everyone else... Before remembering where they were going, thanks to someone telling him. On small moment, and the last of the ride had been a lot more smoother than the first two days for him. It was why, when they had made it, had he over excitedly hopped off the bus, squinting his eyes towards all the building of the shrine. "This feels so magical! Can anyone else feel the mystical vibes of the elves once being here!?" Over exuberant in happiness, Narky was already wanting to look around. He awaited until they all got there stuff inside, before actually roaming around to go look.

The petite young woman had been surprised at first in receiving such a formal and slightly pushy invite. 'What the hell is this teacher's deal...' She thought upon first reading the letter. Reading it again more slowly, she had gauged it was less insulting to her character and more to be seen as a training opportunity. But...then why did Pyrrhus seem to get one as well? She saw him as the better of all their team; herself included. So, to be a better huntress, huh? She couldn't lie, the thought made her smile. Still, it was odd to her, but she would not question it for now. Instead, she would look over at her teammates. "So, we really doing this?" Peninnah asked them, though the answer would probably be yes. Once that was confirmed, the scaled female would nod and begin packing a travel pack for 9 days (never hurts to be prepared). 'What will be there for us?' She wondered.

{TIMESKIP}

The morning of the trip, she would walk along with her teammates after getting ready and grabbing a bite to eat (a couple of ham sandwiches and an apple for herself). Upon arriving, her crimson eyes widened. It was an armored bus~!
'This is so cool~!' She thought. Turning to her teammates, she smiled big. "You ready for adventure," Peni asked, clearly thrilled. Although, she was most happy upon laying eyes on her sister. 'We get time together~!...But, wait, she's not a troublesome girl...' She thought back to the letter. As far as she was concerned, her sister was the least trouble. But, all thoughts left her mind as she ran up to her sister and hugged her tight. "Rosa, glad you're here!" Peni said sincerely before she would spot her cousin and frown. "Oh no, not you too," Peni said in fake displeasure before smiling and pulling her tall cousin into a hug. "Guys, I'm gonna sit with Ro," Cyn would inform her team before going on the bus with her sister, letting her have the window seat...

{TIMESKIP}

Three days was too long to spend in a bus, but at least there was food and water. And she had time with her sister; even if she slept most of the time. The others with them were not so bad either. On the third day, she was pleasantly surprised to see they were so far up in a mountainous area.
'It looks beautiful,' She thought, amazed as she looked out with Rosa. "Think this is the place," Cyn sighed under her breath. Once they stopped, she would stand and help her sister with getting up. Off the bus, the air that caressed their skins had her breathing deeply. 'So crisp...so sacred,' Cyn noted, looking around slowly as she waited for her teammates to get off the bus as well.

Reading the letter Rosa got made her quite unsure of herself, she was trying so hard to get better and to improve herself! With a sad frown, she continued to read the letter and she quickly went from sad to curious “Tournament of dragons? That’s a weird coincidence” she thought to herself as she looked at her birthmark but shrugged it off for now as she started packing up for the week, making sure to have everything she needed for more than a week, ’ you must always be prepared!’ she thought with a giggle, she knew this was something her sister would say for sure.

Once the day of the trip arrived she walked to the designated area earlier than she needed to be, seeing the armored bus made her more excited than she was before ’ maybe it won’t be so bad’ she thought to herself as she sat down and read a book. Not too long after she could hear a familiar voice and before she could turn and see who it was she was hugged by her sister “gah! P-Peni! You are here too?! Oh, this is so much better than I thought!” she closed her eyes and hugged her sister back before she seemingly got upset at someone, Rosa turned her head to see her cousin also being part of this and with a nervous smile she said “glad I packed a bunch of first aid haha…” the situation started to fill nostalgic as Peni told the rest she would be sitting next to her, this made Rosa smile brightly in excitement as they two got on the bus, though Rosa couldn’t stop looking at the rest of the students that were on the bus with them, she could even see a familiar dragon mark on a lot of the people there ’ dragon tournament… do those marks have something to do with it? I’m starting to think it has nothing to do with performance, if it did then why is someone like Peni here?’ the spaced out until the Bus suddenly started to move, which then she would take out one of the books she packed and read it silently.

Throughout the 3 days’ trip, there was nothing very special other than the view, of course, most of it was spent reading, writing, and talking to her sister. Though from time to time she glanced over a boy with an interesting looking book, she wondered what was written down there and what this unusual boy likes to read. Finally, after the long drive, they got off of the bus as she took Peni’s hand and her eyes sparkled from excitement, it was so pretty, so sacred looking “so exciting~!” she would accidentally let out as she quickly shut her mouth with her free hand and a bright shade of red has appeared on her face ’ so embarrassing….

Pyrrhus, like the rest of his team, had received a sudden and unexpected letter. Keeping personal things of a more private nature, he would seclude himself a little as he went to read it. Being surprised as the letter began, though quickly thinking it was perhaps his inability to summon a defensive aura or a semblance of his own in his time at Beacon. Even in the life or death situations of survival class he had not been able to call upon it; a stain on the knights honor that he could not do so basic a thing for most students at the academy. Still, there was more to the letter so he continued to read. 'Yet one still sees potential in myself, and in others, it seems. This Tournament of the Dragon being a trial to bring such things out...' Pyrrhus thought to himself as he continued his reading. It was meant to bring out the good in their own abilities as well as their abilities to work with others. He did not think he had issues with working with others, even if survival class was a true strain on that. But definitely on himself; there was always room for improvement. The mention of higher prizes than just good grades was also intriguing; it inspired the competitive spirit in Pyrrhus; even if such things were unnecessary to convince him to try his best. Continuing to read the message, he would find it finishes much different than it starts; being more encouraging, and reasonable, while finally giving the instructors name as Sinn. Pyrrhus, while having never met him, decided he liked the man based on his words and goals; as much as he knew of him for the moment at least.

He made mental note of all he had read, unsure if his team received it, and content to keep it in secrecy as instructed. While he did not like the idea of doing so, and while he had not verbally agreed, he felt he should abide by what the letter said. However, not too long after his discovery, Lady Penninah would reveal she got such a letter to the team. He was a bit disappointed she revealed such a thing so easily, though part of him was a bit glad she would to them. It left him rather conflicted on his own end if he should reveal it; technically, by the wording of the letter, it could be revealed to other letter bearers. When she asked the rest of them, Pyrrhus felt a bit placed on the spot regardless how the others responded. Choosing the neutral option of saying "I cannot reveal the contents of my letter at this time," as his own response; even if it felt bad not to say it to his team. But he was honor bound, he felt, to uphold the intent of the message as he saw it. He did not confirm nor deny it; only that he could not speak of it. Regardless, once the day came, the team would all find one another at the bus; all of them having received such a letter. Pyrrhus had brought along all his gear, as well as some sleeping ones and a few days provisions; assuming food would be provided for them where they went, or that they could forage for something. Lady Penninah seemed the most excited for what was to come, asking them if they were ready for adventure as Pyrrhus merely nodded. She even seemed to find her sister there, revealed by her hugging of the girl and calling her by the name Rosa, hugging another individual there as well, and saying she would be sitting with her sister. She seemed to know a good few people on this trip. "A pleasure to meet you Rosa, and understood Lady Penninah. I hope you both enjoy the ride," Pyrrhus would respond with a cheerful smile and wave to them. His attention would briefly be caught by a white-haired male who greeted them and hoped they all had a good time. With a smile, Pyrrhus would respond "Thank you, as I hope the same for you," and move on to enter the bus itself now; with or without the chaotic siblings of team Hurricane.
                                                                [Timeskip]

Pyrrhus would have taken a window seat towards the front of the bus but not the seat besides Narky. It was on the opposite side of the bus; while not opposed to anyone sitting besides him, Pyrrhus was not seeking anyone out for now. Content to be alone if that was how things went. He would set aside his armor and gear on the floor in front of his seat, once all were aboard and they were to be underway, since he would have little use of it on his person for the moment. It would be a...sizable array of weaponry and defensive armaments. Once all was off and secured, Pyrrhus, if no one was besides him, would take out a book to pass the time reading. Though, even if no one were besides him, he was not silent all the time on the trip. He would speak with the person who had welcomed them all onto the bus commonly, learning his name was Narkyena, and that he was...very forgetful, to put it mildly. But Pyrrhus would always answer him with patience and gently remind him of things he may've forgotten; enjoying the persons silliness and child-like innocence. Even on the final day where for a moment he thought he was kidnapped; hoping Narkyena could one day have a cure for his faulty memory. Narkyena very much reminded him of the land of fairy tales where knights were always on quests; to the point Pyrrhus even requested a story or two of such tales from him. While not much truly could be done on a three day bus ride, save the occasional walks and bathroom breaks that let one stretch and move, Pyrrhus spent it contently talking and reading till they finally arrived at their destination.
                                                                [Timeskip]
                                                                User Image

Unlike some who were eager and quick to be off, Pyrrhus was much slower and more methodical. Slowly and carefully strapping his gear back on, having felt lighter than a feather these last few days with how little he wore his armor, he would be in no rush to depart the bus until all was secured once again. Waiting for any before him who were standing to depart first before he himself would exit the bus. Joining the others outside with his own gear, he would look around himself to take in the sights. If only briefly. Pyrrhus would stretch his limbs, glad to be able to move freely again even if he was feeling a bit stiff all over. The bus was gone as soon as the last one stepped off, and from there they would head to their final destination in this trek; presumably, at least. He would await his team, and all others, before departing with them.

Sváfnir Nuntis
Son of Agmundr & Eydís

Those who bare the mark of the Dragon....

Sváfnir woke late in the night silently fermenting his heavy pain through his teeth trying not to wake his team as he did. The pain from his body worsened with each day and that combined with the newly acquired aches in the back of his mind made maintaining the Warrior's Semblances rather troublesome, Sváfnir found going about normal eventless days to even be a bother, The Warrior looked to the letter beside his bed reading over the name of the sender in his mind. Pictureshazy at first began to rise in his thoughts but before the Warrior could make out his visions the skull splitting pain hit. Grasping his skull Sváfnir let the images fade from his thoughts in turn letting go of the pain as well.
The Warrior would take to a second night shower before heading out but not for training as he usually did but to clear his head. ...Sinn
-TIMESKIP-
Sváfnir was now heading to the designated area for where transportaction was to arrive and move him to another designated location, His bag in tow the Warrior was took everything he would if he were to go to combat and that included his combat attire, Sváfnir felt the a sudden sting on his hand and upon touching it with his other hand saw the flesh of his hand rip exposing discolored...scales?! In a panic of disbelief the Warrior shook his hand causing the flesh all the way to his elbow to shake free, Sváfnir suppressed the the pain of his hand, Quickly the Warrior dropped his bag and removed the combat wrap within to apply over his fleshless appendage. The sudden sensation caught the other hand as was wrapping causing the Warrior to stop shakily Sváfnir looked over his hand seeing what he thought to be true, Falling to his rear the Warrior grimaced from the pain that came from not only his hands that caught him but his feet, Sváfnir removed his sandles and releasing the pressure of his feet. The flesh falling from his feet just enough to push Sváfnir over the edge as the bright golden aura erupted around him in response from his trauma, The Warrior subsided his semblance causing all of the enduring pain to become intense now.No stop no no no...What is this!?
-TIMESKIP-
Sváfnir arrived at the destination arms, legs and neck wrapped up pretty well, Though the pain never ceased, he held his sandles in one hand and his bag in the other. Sváfnir upon seeing the individuals at the pickup location Sváfnir was only able to pick out two females known to him as his adorable cousins, The White hair male seemed to be quite the interesting individual but he didn't know him and the other male seemed quite ready for a fight but he knew not him either,, Masking his pain and worry behind a fake smile that he soon plastered across his face once the tremendous wave of pain washed over him as his cousin greeted him with a tease and hug.
Hello Peninnah and Rosa. A rather bland and pitiful greeting for Sváfnir in many accounts, Sváfnir forced his words out calmly not ever catching he called them both by their names and not the nicknames he took the liberty of bestowing on them when they were younger. As happy as he was to see his cousins Sváfnir was relieved by the fact he would be sitting alone for the ride he didn't want his new affliction to be known. Taking up his place in the very back of the bus the Warrior kept silent and hidden thw whole ride.

Arrival at a rather enchanting destination Sváfnir wasted little time getting off heading off alone once again as to catch his breath and suppress his semblance from the ever frequent pain that builds it up, Exhaustion starting to take its toll as the pain only worsens with every suppressed semblance.

It all started with an invite on her scroll. "What in the heck is this all about?" Then her mind started to wonder back to her kidnapping. The word Dragon started to stick out to her. Then, she looked at the markings on her arm. It was starting to make some kind of sense, but she needed to go on this trip just to make things even more clear.

She knew she had been watched. From the moment she entered campus, from being handed her weapon, to be assigned her team, to be appointed team leader, to the water festival, and the fight she had with Rey after class. There was eyes on her and her training. Plus the tournament was a big thing that had all eyes on her as she almost murdered Victor. Even was watched when she went out with Aeralin and Bashmu. She had a eyes on her.

With no words being able to be sad, she would pack her bags for that week as well. The letter she left was different from Narky's and was more believable. Setting her alarm, she would go to bed ready to go at 5 am as well, but she didn't get up when her alarm went off. She saw Narky leave that morning, but didn't think anything of it. She would read his note 15 minutes when she finally did get up, but it didn't make sense to her right then and there.

                                                          Hello team,
I am going spend some time with my Auntie Jackie. She is staying in Vale for a week. She has asked for my help with something really important. I will see you later,
                                                          ~Your team leader

Leaving the note, she would walk out the door. It is not until she got to the bus stop did she realize they were going to the same place. She'd left 30 minutes after Narky. When she arrived, Narky bounced over to her and she smiled. "I see you got the letter too. I read you letter. I wrote one to Aeralin and Rey as well. You're note did not make sense because it was a lie. I was wondering and now I know." She said poking Narky. They for sure could spend some well needed time together. "Hello everyone." She spoke as well along with Narky. As they all boarded the bus, she would set right next to Narky. "Relax Narky." She told him as the bus would move. She would hand him a motion sickness bracelet since it was his first time riding in a vehicle. She loved his reaction as he looked out the window as they started to leave the city,

Pyrve would help Narky as much as possible with his memory while they were on the bus. She knew it was a lot of people on the bus. That some mornings he didn't even remember his own teammates and they were with him everyday. In the back of her head, she didn't know how she was going to do this for three days, but she did her best. As they rode, he stuck his head and hands out the window. "Narky! Put her head back in the window!" She said scared he was going to fall out of it. She even had a good chuckle when he said his hands were dolphins. He was just enjoying himself. She spent a lot of time on her scroll during this ride or being entertained by Narky. After he sat down, she looked up from her scroll and busted o0ut laughing. "OMG Narky! You look like a fluffy poodle with your hair all over the place." He seemed to enjoy putting his head out the window. As much as it gave her a heart attack, She couldn't stop it. All she could do was keep an eye on him to make sure he didn't fall out.

After spending three days next to Narky, she needed a break. He seriously woke up thinking he had been kidnapped. "No Narky. We are on the bus ride. We've been on here for now three days." she remembered him That seemed to refresh his memory. This day actually went very smooth with him. When they got there, she was so happy. It did look really mythical. That she could agree with him. Getting off the bus, she would nod. "It does feel magically. I can agree with you there Narky." Once they were inside, she decided she was going to bunk with him. Putting her things down. she would go explore herself.

Thyra was still settling in at Beacon, but she'd decided she quite liked it and she would stick around. After all, that's where her brother was and she was bound and determined to not ever let him out of her sight again. Even though the two were constantly bickering, teasing, and chasing each other about, it was clear just how much she loved him. She couldn't say things felt like the old days. After all, Alois was much bigger and stronger and all the easier to antagonize with that temper of his. Plus, they were minus a rogue vigilante and a blood thirsty shark. Even so, they had picked up two other members to add to their team. Peninnah and Pyrrhus. She didn't know either of them very well yet, but she already liked them both quite a lot. There was hardly a moment of peace in the dorm room with such loose cannons crammed together so closely, but Thyra preferred it that way. Silence made her uneasy and stillness made her much to restless. It was rather ironic considering how much the girl slept, but that was just the thing. If she wasn't cooked out somewhere, often anywhere other than her own bed, than she was torpedo spiraling through the air bound to cause mayhem wherever she landed and leaving nothing but chaos in her wake. Then, just like that she might collapse and take a little snooze, wherever she might be. The girl could sleep through anything. In fact, she slept better in the rowdiness than she ever did in the quiet. Her life had always been loud and rambunctious, all but those dark years spent in a dark damp cell. For her, quiet wasn't peaceful. It reminded her too much of that hellish nightmare. It brought back the agonizing pain, and the utter loneliness. The devastating hopelessness that slowly ate away at her until it had consumed her being entirely. Until she had decided that death might be the better alternative, the easier alternative. Until she craved it, if only for the sweet, tender relief that it might grant her. Those were years of her life that still haunted her, they always would. They were etched with such graphic detail into her mind, burned so vividly into her dreams. It wasn't something she spoke of, nit even to Alois. Not yet. She wasn't ready to let those demons out yet, for she feared that if she did, if even for a moment, she might be consumed by that darkness yet again. Even so, in those moments of quiet, when something pricked at a memory she had otherwise tried to lock away, the ghosts of that life could be seen swimming malevolently in scarlet hues.

Thyra was still settling into life at Beacon when she received the mysterious letter from an even more mysterious sender. She wasn't entirely sure what it was about this so called Sinn... but something about him, something about the letter, made her feel uneasy. She was immediately distrustful of him, whether that was justified or not. The girl had her reasons, and something about the very limited information given in the letter felt off to her. He claimed to want to help her, to help them Excell at Beacon, but Thyra had a hard time believing that it was for a selfless cause. In fact, she had the feeling it was for something entirely selfish... she just wasn't sure what yet. She'd already decided she didn't like this guy, but she also knew that she had to go. For all the deceit and distrust, she had to figure out what exactly was going on her for herself. She didn't want to leave room for it to come back to bite her in the butt later. The letter specifically ordered them to keep this letter and this trip a secret, however that was simply something Thyra refused to do. For her it made what she saw as an already sketchy situation, even more shady.. She had only just gotten her twin brother back and there was absolutely no way in hell she was going to skip blindly into the unknown without discussing it with him first. It seemed he must have felt the same way, at least with the secrecy, because the two had walked up to each other, letters in hand, at the exact same moment. Thyra liked to chalk it up to twin telepathy. Now, she didn't love the idea of him going, however she liked their chances of making it through whatever it is much better together than she liked them on their own. At least this way they could have each other's backs. It wasn't long after that Peni addressed them and Thyra couldn't help but laugh. Clearly none of them like the idea of secrets on this regard, all but Pyrrhus that is, who in his usual stoic manner decided to keep neutral on the subject. Thyra teased him about being a goodie two shoes, but otherwise left the subject alone.

As the day of the journey came close, Peninnah's excitement grew. Thyra was still suspicious herself, but even so it was hard not to feed off of the other girl's excitement. Eventually she started looking at it as more of an adventure, albeit a dangerous one. As everyone else seemed to pack and prepare, in a typical Thyra manner, she threw all of her stuff into a black canvas bag the night before. Extra clothes, all of her weapons and gear, and of course l, snacks, because no one wanted to deal with a hangry Thyra. Her temper was bad enough on a full stomach, and her brother knew better than anyone that she turned into hellspawn when the hunger kicked in. After haphazardly shoving things into her back and cramming them in further until she could yank the zipper shut, she curled up on her bed and passed out nearly immediately. It wasn't until Alois risked his life shaking her awake in the morning, and she nearly clawed his eyes out, that she groggily rolled out of bed, cursing and muttering under her breath the whole time. Like a zombie she would stumble to the bathroom, nearly falling head first into the shower as she tiredly yanked her clothes off. With a frustrated grunt she would finally manage to pull her shirt over her head, tossing it angrily on the floor before climbing into the shower. The water helped to wake her sleepy mind, but did little to easy her grumpy attitude. Thyra would emerge from the bathroom several minutes later, steam spewing out the door as she opened it. Dressed in her usual black shorts and crimson crop top, she was still in the process of tugging on her cloak. Honey blond curls hung dripping over her shoulders, leaving the back of her shirt damp, but she hardly seemed to notice. After combing through them with her fingers and scrunching them up with her towel, she would call it good. Her mane had a mind of its own and she'd learned long ago to take what she could get. Shoving her feet into her black boots would be the last step, only stopping long enough to sling her bag over her shoulders and grab a piece of jerky on the way out of the dorm.

Thyra would arrive at the meeting spot still looking like she was half-dead. As if she'd died and a half-assed warlock had messed up the revival spell. Scarlet hues would glance warily at the armored bus, already suspicious of the entire situation, the bus seemed a bit excessive to her and she struggled to share in the excitement of her peers. She took note of Peni and the girl she hugged who must have been her sister, and offered a small wave but didn't seem to have the energy to do much else. Once again, she noticed the white haired boy and his welcome, but still didn't have it in her to respond with much mire than a sleepy half-smile. As they were loaded onto the bus, Thyra claimed a seat in the back, tossing her bag over it before laying across the seat and using it as a pillow. It wasn't long before the girl was passed out again, curled up into a ball on the seat with one of her arms flung over her eyes. Throughout the journey, the girl seemed to have three modes. A childish restlessness where she failed about in her seat and complained about how bored she was. In truth, it was hard for the girl to be still for so long. Even though she was caged, being confined to the bus for so long made her feel trapped. Once the fits were over, her whines of boredom would transition into cries of hunger, and after Alois shoved the first piece of food he could into her mouth to get her to shut up, she would pass out again. She just so happened to be asleep when the bus finally rolled to a stop. As everyone else collected their things and departed, Thyra continued to snooze in her seat. If not for Alois, she might have continued sleeping long after the bus had departed once more. Firm hands would grab her by the shoulders, shaking her roughly. Thyra didn't even have to open her eyes to know it was him. "Alois! You big, stupid, buffoon! Get off of me." Tiny hands would lash out, flailing wildly until she either hit him, or he let go. Once he did, she would aim a deadly glare in his direction, scarlet gaze practically burning. "What is it, you big dummy?" Still half-asleep, it took her a few minutes to realize that they had finally arrived at their destination. Cheeks would flush in frustrated embarrassment as she slung her bag over her shoulder and strode down the aisle without another word.

The breeze was cool and her warm cheeks and the fresh air helped to calm her. Being off the bus and out in the open alleviated some if that restlessness and pent up frustration. Sucking in a lung full of air, she would hold it in for a few moments before releasing it in a long, slow breath. Dropping her bag, she would reach up and stretch her arms above her heard, pushing up onto her tiptoes to maximum height, which still wasn't much. After another deep breath, she was feeling much better, though she was antsy to explore. Even someone as impatient and skeptical as her couldn't deny that the Shrine was beautiful and there was a certain peace to it that even she could feel penetrating her bones. Despite that fact that she had just tried to to hit her brother and called him a dummy, she waited for him to join her before walking towards the rest of the group. She still wasn't too keen to let him out if her sight. The Shrine might have been the most incredible place she had ever seen, but she had already made up her mind that whoever this Sinn character was, he was shady. So once he had joined her, she'd start walking, half running towards the rest of them. She need to stretch her legs and release some of the restlessness she had felt over the past few days. "What do you think we're going to do while we're here?" She would ask Alois, her voice much mire subdued now, her fiery burst of attitude dissipated and lost to the wind, for now at least. Stretching onto her tip toes, she would scan the rest of the unfamiliar crowd, looking for her other teammates. It wasn't too hard to spot Pyrrhus's red hair, nor Peninnah's lavender locks.

"Hmmm." the young man hummed. Analyzing the letter and making sure there was nothing written on the back he began to think. Why did he get this weird letter? It made a point to mention the info was on a need to know basis. Alois agrees with that. All info is on a need to know basis. The only exemption was his team. With letter in hand, he made his way to inform his team on what was happening. On the way he ran into his sister with something familiar in her hand. "She got one, too, huh?" he thought. The look in her eyes said something she didn't have to. Her letter was the same and she felt the same way he did. To hell with secrecy. This is potentially dangerous and he just got his sister back. And as the leader of the team he had to tell his team. As it turned out, they all received a letter and they all had different emotions about it. Most felt confused and uncertain. Others felt excitement and determination. Pyrrhus, being the goodie goodie that his is, decided he '...cannot reveal the contents of my letter at this time.' Alois held back a laugh at his statement. Can't say it wasn't expected. Alois looked to Peninnah as she questioned what they were going to do. Alois puts a finger to his chin and thinks. He let out a sigh and ran his fingers through his hair as he looked to the ceiling. "Yeah, why not? We all gotta letter and obviously Beacon trusts this guy to some degree. Almost as if they back whatever this guy is talking about." he explained. "Yea. We're doin' it. Anything goes south we break everything in the way. Start packing." he ordered. Breaking everything in the way was more of his way of saying fight if we have to. Alois began packing his bag. Essentials such as: clothes, water, food, some first aid and his hair products. Need that jojoba oil.

His team also made their preparations and had everything packed. His sister just jammed whatever it was she thought she needed and zipped her bomb of a backpack up. If you looked close enough you could see it shaking as if it were going to rip at the seams. She jumped into her bed and almost immediately went to sleep. He sighed in frustration and got his clothes to shower. He takes showers the night before so he doesn't waste his time in the morning. Before exiting the bathroom he dresses himself in his pajamas and strolls out to his bed. "G'night." he said trusting the most competent of his team would prepare properly. Oh, and Peninnah. It was time to wake up and Alois opened his eyes knowing what he had to do. He prepared himself as he approached Thyra's bed. He took a deep breath and began to Shake the demon awake. Immediately, his face met a tiny fist. "Ow, dammit! Getcho a** up and get ready!" he said pulling her out of bed. She rolled out and made her way to the shower. Cussing the whole way there. As she came out of the shower, Alois noticed that horror show she called hair. He stifled a laugh as he put conditioning in his well behaved hair. He stared at her with a smug smile as he did so. After they both were ready they made their way out of the dorm with their bags. By the time they made it to the spot Thyra looked like a zombie. It took everything for her brother not to laugh. After calming himself, he took a look at the bus. The armored bus. "Where the f*** are we going?" he asked no one in particular. Alois nodded his head at the white haired boy in acknowledgement. Peninnah met up with her sister and cousin and decided to sit with them. "The further you are from me the better." he said still staring at the bus. Soon enough they were boarding. And, of course, Thyra took the seat waaay in the back so she could sleep. Alois huffed as he followed her. He made note of where Pyrrhus sat and continued to the back. He shakes his head as his sister already fell asleep.

He takes the sit across from her to stick close and make sure she doesn't destroy anything. He knew what was coming. He pulled out his scroll and began reading a book. "Shut up, dam***!" he'd shout at her every time she complained about being bored. "Read a book or something!" he said. The whining stopped only for what he knew was coming next. She used up alot of energy complaining and now it was time for the "Grrrrr!" Yup. She's hungry and now she's crying and complaining about it. He quickly reached into the "Emergency (Thyra) Pouch" of his bag and grabbed her favorite snack. He walked to her while unwrapping it and shoved it into her mouth. "Sit there and be quiet!" he said before walking back to his seat. "I'm trying to read, dam***!" he growled. Before he even sat down he heard her snoring. He couldn't do anything but rub his temples feeling frustrated and relieved at the same time. This became a pattern for the trip and each time annoyed him more. Can't imagine how everyone on the bus felt.

The bus came to a stop and they finally reached their destination. He huffs as he approaches his sleeping demon of a sister. He grins evilly as he grabs her shoulders and roughly shakes her awake. He laughs as he does so knowing she's gonna be pissed. Dodging tiny fists of fury he let's go. "Get up, clown. We're here." he said ignoring her gaze. She walked out without a word and he just chuckled. "Yeah, be embarrassed, foolio." he called after her. He grabbed his bag and noticed she was at the entrance of the bus instead of joining the group. She must be waiting for him. He smiled at the thought. He put some pep in his step not to keep her waiting. He jumps off the bus and strolls up next to her. Alois takes in the scene around him. He's not the type of ooo and awe at things, but the sights were pretty. Something was amiss. Something felt strange. Why were some areas smaller than the rest? "Hmmm." he hummed. He scanned the scanned the area and made note of everything he found important. "If I were to guess? Fight." he said stoically. He looked to his sister to see she was trying to see the crowd on her tiptoes. He grabbed her by the back of her shirt and placed her on his shoulders to make it easier for her. "Find the others. Make yourself useful.

Memories of the Dragon:

╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════▨✥▨═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗

As the students gathered outside the shrine proper, they would be greeted with a small breeze as they gazed about the place; a kind of earthly calm seeming to be its current atmosphere. Though for the students it would vary between them depending how they felt about all of this happening. The faint birdsong could be heard from the surrounding focus, with leaves rustling in the wind, to show the contrast between it and the relative quietness of the shrine itself. While none here could truly guess as to what it was made to or why this was where they would do their training, there was somethings they could perhaps make out. The strange script seemed to appear in a few places on the shrine, but all bearing the same markings.

If any chose to study it, they would feel a bit of familiarity to it; though as for why was uncertain as they could not easily recall ever seeing it before. (Roll a d100 if you are studying the strange script; 1-25 you cannot glean more than it is familiar to you, 25-50 you can make out what 1 letter represents, 50-75 you can make out what 2 letters represent, 75-100 you can make out what 3 letters represent. Results will be DM'ed, and make sure to roll on Gaia itself.) Besides this, two others would notice something else. The one with a particularly acute sense of smell, Alois, would very faintly notice the smell of something being cooked from inside the shrine itself. The one with particularly acute hearing, Narkyena, would note the sound of something being moved inside. No one else but those two would notice those particular details.

With bus gone after the last of them had departed, and with all of them now at the shrine, they were free to explore as they liked. They would note it seemed early in the day and that there seemed to be dark clouds on the horizon; meaning it would likely rain not too long from now. They would also notice, for any who got closer, that there seemed to be a paper on the shrine doors. It's message was very simple.
"Enter, and follow the lights. Leave your shoes by the door."
-Sinn

There was no other context to the message as to what it would lead them to. If tried, they would find the shrine doors would open easily enough. They would find the interior of the shrine to be well-kept, its flooring seeming to have either been incredibly well cared for or replaced from what state it may've once been in. They would also note the smell of burning incense, seeming to be placed in key areas around them to give a faint and pleasant, but not overwhelming, scent. Alois still being the only one to make out the smell of food, as it was coming from the left path. To their immediate left and right, they would notice little shelving racks; presumably where they would place their shoes. They would also note that the immediate room they entered was fairly empty; serving more as a connecting room to other parts of the shrine. There was a path straight across from the door that seemed to head to the back, one to the right, and one to their left. The path they were instructed to go to was the left hallway; being lit by small lanterns hanging above them. Should they follow it, it would lead to a closed door.
[Feel free to roleplay in between and up to this point, but don't enter the room quite yet]

The petite young woman, for most of the ride, had just enjoyed catching up with her sister. 'What is this Sinn guy all about?' She wondered through the ride. And not everyone seemed to be troublemakers. At least, not in her eyes. Most of the time was also spent napping when not talking. "Chill your tits!" Peni snapped from time to time with the occasional antsy-ness of others. 'Oh Wow!' She thought along with the rest probably as the city fell away and their destination revealed.

Upon their arrival, she was excited but wait patiently, allowing her sister out before she'd follow behind, the petite young woman looked around at the sacred serenity that surrounded them. She would not forget the bandages of her cousin, but, she would not concern herself for now. Gathering her things, she would look around once more. Jumping back slightly, crimson eyes would glower at the retreating buses.
"Watch it!" Peni shouted after them. Once they were gone, she would look over at the other students. Not really being subtle, nor polite, the small female would push through any others to get to the front of the door.

at the door, her crimson orbs would fall upon a strange message. And although she could not recall it all, she did feel an unnerving recognition of the first letter.
"What..." Peni said under her breath, irked by the pain that pulsed in her mind; her hand going to her temple for a moment. Once she pushed it away, she would look back at the others and the sky behind them. Rain... "Looks like rain...let's get inside. Shoes off at the door," Cyn said to no one in particular. Whether they followed or not, she didn't wait, she would walk in, moving to the side to allow others in as she removed her shoes off to the right side. As she did, Peninnah would look to those she didn't know so well...yet. 'So different,' She thought as she openly looked them over. "What did you all do to be considered trouble?" Cyn asked, straight to the point and no filter as usual as she looked to Narky and Pyrve in particular. 'I'll interrogate my sister later,"' Cyn concluded to herself. Depending on their responses, she might stay to chat or she might just go on to follow the lights.

"I'm not embarrassed!" The girl would insist, flashing her brother a wicked glare over her shoulder. Defiant as she might be, the fevered blush lingering in her pale cheeks was more than enough to give her away. "I was just sick of looking at your stupid face, you big dummy." Snickering under her breath, the glare would melt into a sly grin, nose scrunching and scarlet eyes squinting in her mischievous amusement. Short and spritely, the girl had to work twice as hard to keep up with his casual pace as they departed the bus and headed towards the shrine. There was no denying that this place, whatever it was exactly, was absolutely stunning, but that did nothing to ease the apprehensive knots that had formed in her stomach and her brother's answer to her question brought a sour taste to her mouth. Now, Thyra was quite possibly the last person to turn down a good spar. In fact, it was just like her to pick a fight with just about anyone willing, simply to prove her strength. However, at the end of the day it was all for good fun. She'd never intentionally hurt someone that was underserving... or, well, she wouldn't seriously maim them maim anyone at least. Something about this entire situation was still unsettling. She still hadn't the slightest clue who this Sinn character was, but she had a bad feeling about him. Was this really a getaway for troubled students to help unlock their potential? These activities they were to participate in, were they training exercises to help them learn and grow? Or was there something more to all of this, more than any of them could ever know. There was no telling, not yet at least. This was all just a bit too mysterious for Thyra's liking, and so she wouldn't let her guard down. Perhaps it was her past of living on the road with a rogue vigilante and crazed shark pricking her survivor instincts or perhaps it was the years she had spent behind bars, tortured and tormented to near death driving her to paranoia... Either way, if her past had taught her anything, it was always better safe than sorry. Maybe she would laugh at herself for this unease later, but for now she was staying on high alert.

Hands on the back of her shirt would startle her from her thoughts, flailing about in protest, she wouldn't accomplish much but emphasizing their size difference. Only once she realized it was Alois and he was only trying to help her out would she calm down, body going limp as she accepted her fate. "You're going to stretch out my shirt, you big oaf." She'd complain, but there wasn't any real fire behind her protest. In fact, she'd much rather hitch a ride on her brother's shoulders than walk the rest of the way. Besides, it brought back fond memories of their childhood, a small smile tugging on the corners of her lips. A much smaller Alois and an even smaller Thyra, trudging through the forest behind their reckless parent figures. It wasn't until she was much older that Thyra realized just how tired Alois must have been, not only dragging himself along the haphazard paths, but her as well. Even so, as much as he might have complained, he hadn't ever let her fall behind. Not even once. Thyra had always appreciated her brother, though she might not say it often and she tended to tease and pester him more often than not. Even so, those years they'd spent apart. The years she'd been driven like a slave until her heart hardly had the strength to beat and her lungs nearly stopped breathing. The dark days when thoughts of him alive somewhere in the world were her only solace. That was when she'd really learned the weight Alois had carried all those years. It was strange how you could think you loved a person with your entire being, and then have that person, that life stripped away from you entirely. It was in that hell that you learned that your idea of love was just a tiny spec of dust on the spectrum, so small it could be blown away on the slightest breeze. That wasn't to say that she had ever loved her brother less than she did right now, her mind had just been too small to truly comprehend just how much she loved him.

Love him as she may, that wasn't going to stop her from bopping him on the top of her head with a tiny fist at his demand. "I'll do whatever I damn well please." She muttered stubbornly. It didn't matter that he had only told her to do what she had already been intending to do, the girl didn't take kindly to being bossed around. Even so, as her frustration settled down, scarlet hues would gaze out at the small group of students that had gathered. It was much easier to see over their heads now, which made picking out her teammates much easier. A broad grin would spread on her lips as she spotted lavender and scarlet locks ahead. It seemed Peni was still with her sister, and Pyrrhus following along with the crowd. Still, Thyra would wave her hands excitedly above her head before cutting through the serenity of the shrine with an ecstatic shout. "Peni! Pyrrhus!" It was truly astonishing how the girl could go from a grumpy ball of sleepiness one moment, to a childish ball of energy the next. "I did my job! Now let's go!" She'd usher Alois forward, and while apprehensive knots were still twisting her stomach, they'd made room for excitement. Or perhaps it was simply the dark clouds filling the sky and the soft scent of rain on the breeze that were putting her at ease. For some the rain was dreary and gloomy, but for her it was a calming source. It scent a buzzing thrill tingling over her skin, leaving her feeling warm despite the slight chill in the air and her minimalistic choice of clothing. Sighing happily, Thyra would let her gaze wander about the scenery. She hadn't noticed the strange inscriptions on the shrine at first glance, but there was something about them now that was calling to her. It was odd, she couldn't have determined what they meant for the life of her, but there was something familiar about them. Something that resonated within her very being. There was such a strong sense of familiarity that it was confusing, a voice in the back of her head whispering to her, urging her to put the pieces together. Yet, the longer she looked at them, the more uncertain she became with any true meaning of the symbols. The more she focused on them, searching for memories that had faded to time, the more her head hurt, until her temples were throbbing steadily. Reaching down to her brother's face, she would poke him firmly on the cheek before pointing towards the inscription. "Does that mean anything to you?"

Once they'd reached the entrance to the shrine, Thyra would very dramatic fall backwards. For a moment it might seem like she had passed out and was about to land on her noggin, but just in time her legs would flip around her changing her momentum as she flipped around and landed behind her brother. Clearly she had more than enough practice at descending from his shoulders. Following Peni's orders, she'd collapse onto her butt, one knee bent beneath her while her other leg was stretched before her. She didn't really want to take off her boots, but despite being raised in the woods, she knew it wasn't polite to wear them inside. Besides, it was either take them off now, or be held down and had them forced off against her will later. Yanking down the zipper, she would tug one off before switching to the other foot. Barefoot now, other than the black socks pulled up over her knee to the middle of her thighs, she would stand again a boot in each hand, looking to Alois before turning to the door. She still wasn't keen on letting him out of her sight. After all, she'd only just gotten him back and the was far too much about this situation that was left to the unknown. "You ready, slow poke?" She would tease lightly, a slight smirk dancing across her face. Only then would she enter the shrine.

With the serenity the place held, it was almost easy to imagine that none had been here but the spirits of nature for years. However, the place was so clean and well-kept Thyra knew that couldn't be the case. There were also fresh incense burning, the distinctly pleasant smell filling her nostrils as she stepped through the threshold. The room was empty but for shelves on either side of the door, tucking her boots carefully onto one of them, scarlet hues would appraise the rest of the room. There were several paths before them, one straight ahead and one on each side. It was the left one they were supposed to take, while the others remained dark, it was lit by small lanterns. Everything about the shrine and the grounds it was built upon was nothing but welcoming, and yet, she was still unsure. In other situations Thyra might be the first to bolt down the hall without any regard as to what might happen, however something still felt off to her, so she hesitated. Instead she would wait for her brother and the rest of her team before descending down the hall, lit so brightly but leading to the mysterious unknown.

                                                        ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ϟ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯

"You should consider it an honor. Not everyone can take a look at this beautiful man in front of you." he said with a wry smile. It took plenty of strength for him to hold his laughter. Watching his sister try to keep apace with him was probably gonna be the funnies thing he'll see on this little "field trip." He cleared his throat and decided to holster the comment for later use. He clears his throat and observes the area a bit more. He eyes all the students that were present and it doesn't seem that this trip is restricted to a certain school year. So what's the link that they all share with thing whole ordeal? Was there a lottery that they all won or something? Whatever. Just take it as it comes. As his sister searches for their teammates on his shoulders he couldn't help but to recant old memories. A once weaker Alois was constantly used as transportation. No matter where they were in their merry band of misfits he was the transport for his sister eventually. Though Alois hated being her ride he never wanted her to fall behind. He'd grit his teeth and bare with it for his sister's sake. He wasn't sure if she was feeling it, but a bit of emotion was welling within him. In this situation he couldn't be happier to do this with his sister again. What was once an aggravation was now... still an aggravation but with some nostalgia. He missed this... for now. As she scanned for Peninnah and Pyrrhus he noticed something. "What's that smell?" he said aloud. He closed his eyes as he tried to home in on the scent. It was very faint, but it smelled as if someone was cooking something. What exactly was being cooked he couldn't tell. "There's someone in there!" he says to no one in particular. It was more of a growl for some reason. He was taken from his thoughts as his sister ushered him towards his teammates. "Aye, aye, aye! Watch the locks, dammit!" he said as he moved. How does she shift moods so damn fast?! His thought on whoever resides in that shrine was on the back burner now because his hair was in danger. As they approached the shrine strange symbols made themselves apparent. He looked to them and there was a small feeling deep within himself. The longer he stared the more he questioned what was going on. He shook his head before saying, "Not at all." to Thyra. They finally made it to the entrance. Most would be alarmed if they felt someone fall from their shoulders, but his muscle memory kicked in. That was the common way she jumped off him. "Be careful. Next time you might break ya neck." he said still staring at the shrine. Alois, instinctively, held his nose in jest. "Warn somebody before you let the dogs out!" he said waving his hand in front of his face. He turned around to see some dark clouds. "Ehmmm." he growled. Alois read the paper and followed the instructions. He took his shoes off and placed them appropriately. "I ain't sure if we should go down yet." he said. He noted that the faint smell from earlier grew stringer. "There is someone in here!" he thought. He looked around but found nothing he could see was out of what would be ordinary in this situation. "We should wait for the others." he said crossing his arms. He placed his thumb and forefinger under his chin and looked to his sister. "I can smell food coming from the left. I'm not sure if it's gonna be the right thing or not, but we're gonna go that way."

As the young Knight departed from the bus, he would take stock of the ride and those around him now. The one male that had seemed familiar to Lady Peninnah and her sister was silent through most of the trip, and even for now at least. Bandaged arms, legs, and neck making Pyrrhus believe it to be more than just a sense of style like he had seen some people in movies do; he wondered what injuries or ailments the guy may've received to warrant it. 'Hopefully there is someone who can attend to him here,' Pyrrhus thought to himself. Figuring he had to have been cleared to come and his condition known; and not believing someone would be forced to go on this trip is they were in a bad condition. The next one he briefly looked to would be Lady Peninnah's sister; he had noticed on the ride she was often writing or reading. It was curious to see for as long as he had known Peninnah not once did she seem interested in reading or anything like that. She was far more interested in combat, as was much of his team from what he could tell of the re-occurring and spontaneous brawls. Alois often being involved one way or another, even if he wasn't usually the instigator. The next one his mind would go to was Pyrve, as he had learned her name to be. A companion of Sir Narkyena it seemed, though he did not know too much of her. Much of their own conversation was mostly small talk...and trying to keep up with the ever vocal Narkyena. He was curious to know of her and everyone else here, given they would be spending a bit of time here from what the note said. 'Hopefully none of these turn out like another Lyosha, or Teal,' he thought to himself as he recalled survival class briefly. Perhaps, in other circumstances, they could've been friends. But from what he had seen and found out in that class, it was not likely. Narky...was a special sorts, but he had a good soul. From what Pyrrhus could glean and believed at the least; he was looking forward to hearing more of his stories in future.

All that left then was his own team. It was strange to see others, from what he presumed were different teams given their seating, were of equal number to his own team here. He did not think his entire team could've done so badly that all of them needed to do this; but perhaps it was for different reasons. Regardless, it would not discourage Pyrrhus. He would just take this as a way to improve himself, and for his team to improve as well. He would do his best to help them all out for it too. Motivational thoughts aside, he would notice the siblings of the team, Alois and Thyra, exit the bus; with Thyra on Alois' back. They weren't exactly model students on the way over here; usual sibling spats from their dorm not being diminished in the slightest in their small home for the past few days. At the very least they didn't start a bus-wide brawl, so that was good progress. Coincidentally timed, Thyra would notice him and Peninnah and wave while shouting out their names. Pyrrhus would give a smile and much less energetic wave back to her; while she was typically violent with Alois, it was not as much for Pyrrhus at least. For now. Pyrrhus would also hear Alois ask aloud what was in there; though seemingly seemed to figure out someone was in there. Pyrrhus was not sure what signaled it to Alois, but Pyrrhus knew him to have the best senses of their team so he trusted him. "Perhaps Professor Sinn?" Pyrrhus would offer as he walked with his team with Peninnah...taking the lead in her typical fashion. Pyrrhus having joined the siblings a bit after she asked what the sign said so he did not hear it. His eyes would wander then to the shrine around; enjoying the look of it and feeling at ease for now. Mostly cause this was part of the instructions, as far as he knew, so nothing seemed wrong yet save no one to directly greet them. He would also note a strange yet familiar script...but try as he might he could not recognize the lettering of it. Or why it was familiar in the first place as he could truly not recall where he saw it. 'Maybe Uncle Zaffre will know?' he thought silently. Regardless, that line of thought would be broken by the ever forceful nature of Peninnah.

She was taking the lead now, seeing the darkening skies, and telling the other to get inside. Not one to suggest, tone-wise at least, she would also order for others to take their shoes off at the door. Pyrrhus wasn't exactly looking forward to taking off his armor after just putting it on; but he merely sighed as he looked to Peninnah and the note once he was close enough. It would be easy enough to just go in and not listen, but he was not the type. As he followed after the duo of Alois and Thyra, he would see both of them go to remove their footwear; Alois making a comment on how bad the smell would be if Thyra removed hers. It did elicit an amused chuckle from Pyrrhus before he would move to the side opposite them and go about removing his sabaton (armor over the foot). With it removed, he would only have a pair of socks as he set the armored "shoe" onto the rack. He would first hear Alois comment on on waiting for everyone else and that he smelled food from the left path; the most well lit path as well. "If that is the case I hope there is a hot meal waiting for all of us," he would add optimistically as he moved into the center of the room to look around. Noticing the other two paths but for now paying them no extra mind as they were not to go down those paths. He would then hear Lady Peninnah's....rather blunt question. He would sigh as he looked to her. "Perhaps you could better phrase that, Lady Peninnah, as the letter spoke of underperforming more so than being trouble. And if you expect an answer, it may be good to start with revealing what you to believe to be your own first," Pyrrhus would advise to his teammate; whether it was wanted or not. And being a man of his own word, he would begin to speak. "Greetings, my name is Pyrrhus. I was not told what my failing was, but my guess would be that I cannot activate my own aura or semblance. Seeing as we are to be taking part in this together, may I know your names and why you believe you were sent here?" he would ask of everyone genuinely as he revealed the shortcoming he believed to have hindered his performance at beacon while he stood besides Peninnah. Figuring now was as good as any a time to introduce one another before they went to where the food smell was coming from; knowing for many once they began to eat there would be little in the way of conversation.

Sváfnir Nuntis
Son of Agmundr & Eydís

Those who bare the mark of the Dragon....

Sváfnir meandered about a bit still a bit distant from the group as they began to speak amongst themselves. Peni could be heard wkth her tone of voice strong as ever and very welcomed at such a time, In truth anything that reminded him of home would be Sváfnir thought silently before snapping from his thoughts by the sound of Pyrrhus giving his introduction and in a manner that seemed oddly familiar do to its nature. Sváfnir entertained the thought of a conversation between himself and the refined male but before his lips could fix up a smile the pain of rendering and ripping of his flesh beneath the bandages of his feet and hands began to tear at his pain receptors. Sváfnir winced in silence at the incredible throbbing taking a moment as not to draw attention the Warrior turned and began to trail away out of ear shot of the others, It would be here Sváfnir tried to check up on the injuries beneath his bandages keeping his back to the others not wanting such a thing to be seen. This isn't getting any better is it? The Warrior said silently to himself after his eyes scanned over the mess that was his hands. Before Sváfnir could realize it his sight waned before images of bloody hands that were not his own yet seemed familiar sat in his view, Like a child given sight for the first time Sváfnir looked over his hands.
