The Hatake chuckled as he arose from his stump, vibrated the pounce over the ink of his calligraphic poetry, and rolled the scroll into a case before he came to stand. His white robes seemed almost immaculate, despite the dirt and mud they came across through their travels. Upon closer inspection, Himawari would be able to quickly learn Masahiro's secret. His chakra materialization, a thin layer release of static kept most materials from adhering directly to him, by reflecting or shocking them off of him.
"How long are you grounded? Let's go with something, utterly impossible. You're grounded to the Royal and Copper Districts, until such a time as you make a friend, someone unlikely, a circus performer." The Emperor joked with his ward, entirely sure she would take it seriously at first.
The trio would ultimately arrive at the Gates just as Lin-Yu stepped through to receive word from the Tanikage. While initially, their foreign policy would dictate them to not to accept a gift, on principle, from a foreign power with which they had established no diplomatic ties, for fear it could be either a trap or an attempted entrapment into some other ploy. The Emperor sighed and relented. His sharingan eyes whirled as he looked at the envelope, piercing lenses inspected the seal upon the letter from within.
As the group approached the gateway, Masahiro would enact the release seal of the letter, retrieving the 50,000 Ryo within. He would, with deft hand, empty it from the purse it was in, into another purse, and ignite both the notice that the Tanikage had sent it with, as well as the original purse before they approached and passed through the gate and into the Barrier that protects Gurinbare.
"They burned my vested interests and contacts in Gimangakure, and have turned any and all hope of easing tensions in the west with minimal bloodshed into a fool's wish. This is a pittance for what I will have to endure." Masahiro scoffed, the headache of Rivers was in and of itself one issue for the man, but several others continued to weigh upon his mind.
"Wulfram, issue orders to the fleet. I want the Kongusho to be prepared for the Chuunin exams. Lahlil's last correspondence was in hosting it soon, and I would have the Castle-Class give our guests a fine fireworks display." He remarked, as the Knight nodded silently, and then nodded to the young woman who rode with the Emperor and trodded off.

Himawari's jaw dropped slightly as he wanted to go to the impossible on the grounding. She puffed her cheeks once again and crossed her arms. Grounded to the Royal and Copper districts until she makes a friend. Not any friend, a circus performer. What?! This was going to be impossible! Not knowing that he was joking, she was going to say something in protest but then, Lin-Yu had approached them. Quickly and fast, she hid behind Masahiro. Not Lin-Yu! He was soooo serious! And a bit boring. But the hiding obviously failed as she grumbled and stepped out from behind Masahiro, forgetting for a moment about her grounding.
Himawari's jaw was again, was dropped when she saw how much ryo Masahiro had. Holy Moley! She could get a new katana with that money! Maybe even a forge! But then it seems that he had plans with it. Before she asks if she could have some ryo, her ears caught up on something. Chuunin exams. WAIT WHAT?! THEY WERE GOING TO HOST CHUUNIN EXAMS!? Himawari better gets busy. "Okay!" She announced, getting the men's attention if she could. Sometimes she doesn't. "I'll go clean up, find myself a friend that is also a circus performer! NO way will I still be grounded for Chuunin exams! I want to help!" With that, she dashed into the gates. First, to the castle to clean up.

Having had gathered his materials, the Knight left his mare in the hands of the Gurinbare stables. Practiced and calloused hands removed the saddle from her back and placed it alongside her other belongings in their housing. A hand reached out and rustled the mane of his dear old friend before he pushed his forehead against her muzzle.
"Don't worry old girl, I'll be back in short order. Just need to sort this noise all out. You'll see, the world will be right as rain again in short order." He chuckled before he turned on his heels and made for the fence, a soft bound putting him over it and out towards the docks.
The docks were eerily quieted during this induced darkness. Shiphands worked in silence, listening for omens and oddities from the sea, and captains barked orders only as tides shifted or men stepped too close to unsteady edges. Wulfram cast his eyes to the vessel that would ultimately ferry him from the port out to the waiting KongΕshu, just off the Fire Nation coast.

Sonyo had gotten changed just outside of the capital; her yukata and oni mask tucked away in one of the bags that set in the carriage. Sonyo had traveled back on her own; the royal procession was much too slow for her tastes. She was not royalty. Slipping off the back of a white horse, jewelry and trinkets jangled as she hit the ground. With a obvious hesitance, the Empress looked up at the black sun in the sky, then quickly away. She had reserved herself to ignore it-- where there was events about Utu, there was Belamos.. and she did not yet have the courage to face him.
Finally, a voice which had clearly repeated itself made it's way to her ears. Blinking herself out of her fugue state, the jinchuriki's eyes fell on the citizen addressing her. Many more voices joined theirs, and soon a crowd was surrounding her.
Empress... the word was still strange, and she almost didn't respond to it when referred to as such. Empress, empress, empress... So many voices calling to her as she entered the capital, searching for answers. She had none. She was just as clueless as the rest of them, but all the same she offered calming words and reassurances despite being scared herself. She wondered if Bel and Auri were okay... The Emperor, dressed in his simple garb, travelled with The Empress through the gates. His crimson sharingan eyes active as he watched for signs of fluctuations in the seal that held the Tanuki Demon, Shukaku in place. The guards opened the gateway paths for the pair to travel through, and handed the royalty a pair of cloaks to hide themselves a little easier on their travel.
"I was surprised, when I got back from the West, to find out that Konoha had been destroyed by a resurgence of the UHV. We had beaten them back before I stepped down, and I had, in my best belief thought the world in a better steading. Thankfully most of the civilian population made it out, I've come to understand." Masahiro recounted, as he held his hand out to his wife and took to the path.
"When I first found myself back in the region, I drifted back to the Ruins of Old Konoha. I found my old Lab and the sunken defense platforms I had devised for the village. I've found that some of my old contrivances have made the forests more... Problematic. Continuously under the effects of various Genjutsu, pathways shifting a lot. Random barriers around. It looks like my Fuuin Labratory is buried underneath an area now relegated as 'The Underbrush' by some of the more frequent travelers. That's where we'll be heading to, first." He said, with a smile on his lips.
"There, we should be able to secure that seal or arrange a new one before it breaks free." He motioned as he adjusted the large scroll on his hip.

Following the departure of the Emperor and Empress, the Lord Adjutant on the orders of his lord traveled to the gates and found his way towards the keystones of the sealing array. Within his hands, he held a slew of sealing tags that were keyed to attach to the rest of the array.
As he clambered to the top of the gate he placed the first tag deep within the cornerstone and made his way down, the gateway reacted to the first seal and a golden tremor appeared along the seals.
"That's one of five down." The man chimed as he stared up.
