Name: Eihari
Race: Alkidike / Water Hybrid
Gender: Female
3 Base Traits: Spontaneous, Bossy, Loyal
Personality: Eihari has a habit of doing things at the last second or at random. She's been called hyper or even lacking focus because of it but she doesn't see it as a bad thing. Instead she calls it 'living in the moment.' Rarely has she ever made plans because they either fall through or she finds something else to do.
She's a take charge type of girl, a leader to some, or bossy to others. Eihari knows what she wants and how she wants it and isn't afraid to tell others. When a group decides to do something she's usually the one being the most vocal about who does what and what goes where. It's gotten her in trouble with her parents a few times and even started some arguments with her friends who felt underappreciated.
Despite her bossy tendencies Eih is very loyal. Whether it be to her own decisions, mind, heart, or even to someone else, she tends to stick to her guns. Once she's a friend she's just about always a friend. It takes something serious to make her stop giving that privilege to someone.
Eih has an open mind to most races, though she's still a bit iffy on the Yaeli (they have glowing eyes!). Mostly she judges others by their own personalities and thinks that everyone deserves that chance. Eihari figures that if her parents can get along well enough to ask for her then she can get along with the rest of the world well enough to be friendly.
She hopes to make friends with at least one person of every race because they each have something amazing to give (and she thinks it would be really cool). Eih also has dreams of traveling to the major cities/towns of the world and sending souvenirs home to her parents and siblings.
Description: (Pulling inspiration from Galene) Eihari has the yellow skin of the Alkidike's with the green fade on the extremities and her markings are the lighter blue of the matori. She sports the fin ears of the Matori, as well as the green hair color. She also has the earthling eye style. (If possible I'd like to leave the rest up to the artist? As far as hairstyle, markings and such. >>;; )
Clothing: A short sleeved shirt that hangs off one shoulder but fits well enough to not fall down more than that and stops at mid belly. A layered skirt. Sandals.
Accessories: Flower/seashell adornment for her hair. Necklace with a coral pendant of some kind.

History: Eihari's father traveled into Jauhar after his relationship with his son's mother didn't work out. He figured that some new scenery and some distance would do him good. It was here, in the jungles, that he met Eihari's mother. She was a youmg woman out to prove herself when she found him in a bit of a pickle. He was no fighter and facing down certain beasts was hard to do on his own. After helping him out and figuring out why he was so far from his homeland the two became friends. The Alkidike showed him around and escorted him to one of the bigger towns. Along the way the two developed feelings for one another, though Eihari's mother tried to deny it for the longest time. It took her father over a year to woo her mother and at least another as a couple before they considered going to Aisha for a child.
Eihari is the first child of her parents but she has an older sibling that came from her father's previous relationship as well as a younger sibling. Eih doesn't look at her half-brother any differently than she does her younger sister, to her they are all siblings - for the good and the bad. While she does express some dislike for when her brother goes to stay with his real mother as it takes him away from her and gives her no one to talk to. With her little sister being several years younger than her she feels 'mature' conversations aren't available.
Her father, a pure-blood matorian, has a modest job as a net weaver and has tried to teach her the trade but she lacks the focus to truly grasp the techniques. Her mother, an Alkidike amazon warrior, has tried to teach her fighting skills but after a few mishaps where a blade almost took off some toes, she's less keen on seeing her daughter wield a blade.
As the proverbial middle child she tends to get away with a lot more than her older brother, though she's not as spoiled as her sister.
In her early years Eihari liked playing dress up and imitating her parents but as she's gotten older she has become more independent with her looks and personality. This has both made her parents proud and scared them a little. They worry that with her lack of focus she may not find her calling/path. Knowing that she is growing older, her mother has tried once more to teach her some basic fighting skills, though she seemed to surround the lessons around hand to hand rather than any real weapon. Her father also tried to impart some of his wisdom once more, though this time he opted for showing his daughter how to fish and prepare her own catch for eating. All fascinating things that held Eih's attention for a short time.
As she reaches her mid-teens Eihari has calmed a little more but is still pretty hyper, much to her parent's dismay. However, they are hopeful as she seems to have expressed a desire to learn a skill of her own; music.

Matorian
The people of Matori live in small, very humble huts and shacks in Matori's cities and villages. Their conditions in the larger villages are cramped, while the outskirts spread farther out to accommodate what farming they can do to provide for themselves. Their proximity at all times to the water has made light and loose clothing something of a norm, as well as anything aquatic and fish inspired designs.
The water earthlings are one of the most unique looking race of earthlings in Tendaji, with blue-green skin and lighter green markings that seem to be located in the same location and pattern for all the people of Matori with only the slightest variation in the number of dots. They do not have crystals, and their eyes are a golden-yellow or orange in color with pupils that sit as horizontal ovals rather than the perfect circle. Their ears are arguably their most unique feature, seeming to have taken on the resemblance of a fin, with an almost transparency to them. Their hair is commonly black but can range from mid to very dark blue-greens and greens, and their eyebrows seem to grow in patches rather than a continuous line.
The people of Matori have been under the control of Oba for as long as they have known in their histories. While they and born and raised in Matori, the majority of their inhabitants are picked as slaves at any variation of age depending on the work that needs doing. Now that they have been freed of their bondage to Obans, their culture is beginning to find ways to separate itself from the fire earthlings and become something unique.
Religion The people of Matori, due to their close though rather forced relationship with Oba, believe in the same pantheon of Gods and Goddesses as their former enslavers, though a few of the names seem to have shifted and evolved. There is always a different name to pray to depending on the situation at hand. The major players in their pantheon include:
Nessat King of Gods, god of judgement (Oba: Nerad)
Ome Essd Queen of Gods, goddess of life and death (Oba: Essd)
Drach'ti God of storms and rain (Oba: Drach)
On'os God of time and fortune
Len Goddess of fishing and feasts (Oba: Lenoxe)
Kiyom God of wood and lumber
Hatald Goddess of fertility, marriage, and women
Jonal God of men and war
Ubeli'ae Godess of the moon and ocean (Oba: Ubeli)
Atun God of the sun, forging fires, and desert
Government Having been under the control of Oba for so long, there isn't much of a governmental system for the people of Matori. They have lived their lives and their history as the very bottom rank of Oba's governmental views. Now that they have been freed of their oppressors, they are beginning to establish their own government based on a group of counselors who live on the market chain to the south. Those who have problems seek out a meeting with the counselors to come to a solution. Counselors are usually the most successful merchants and some of the strongest warriors during the War.
Update Over ten years has now passed since the people of Matori were freed. Their commerce and trade has increased exponentially, and their people are flourishing as a culture of their own. (This also means that quested characters should take this into account when designing their histories)
