Openbook, Velvet Is very in touch with his emotions, with that, he has a strong sense of who he is. With this comes an open honest approach to everybody he meets, that generally makes him seem unthreatening and causes others to open up around him naturally.
█LEARNT ABILITIES █Strongest Skill ▬ A flare for the dramatic, Velvet has been able to almost make a dance out of avoiding being hit. Despite all of his gifts, he feels a need to be useful without them. Able to use this skill not only to keep himself out of harm, but also to cause distractions and by-time by dodging and annoying a target when really needed. █Weakest Skill ▬ Osteogenesis imperfecta, aka Brittle Bone Disease. With advancements in technology his disease is not a very fetal case, as much as it used to be. Doctors have been able to fix and help a lot, when it comes to the disease. However, bones do break much easier for him still. █Other Skills ▬ m4c6yv3r (Macgyver), Using a lot of old and basic knowledge of tech, He is able to make rudimentary devices with scrap tech. Exp: A small radio, small lights, recording device, and similar other simple tech, based on what is available.

Family, whomever it becomes is very important to him. And he does not forget easily. He will often hold something wrong somebody did to him for a long time. Possibly until he feels they are even. He can be friends with almost anybody when he needs to. However, he does not “need” to, often. Depending on his environment he can be kind of a loner. Courageous, Spawning from the same place that gives him courage, he will often put his life on the line or do something insanely dumb to prove to himself that he is not afraid. █Negative Traits ▬ His confident nature comes with a double edged sword that manifests in two ways. One of them being, cockiness. Due to growing up in a more dangerous side of town, being cocky often helped in many situations. It is hard for him to get over, and honestly he kind of likes it. The other being arrogance. He will often jump head fight into a fight, physical or verbal. Not giving much thought into if he should or not.

█BACKGROUND ▬ Coming from a small well-off family, Velvet grew up a bit spoiled. However, He suffered from a rare disease Osteogenesis imperfecta, aka Brittle Bone Disease. But, He never let his disease get to him. When he was strong enough to walk around the age of 9, he was given a cane to help him walk. Every year his dad would take him to a factory and get it melted and reforged. Living in a huge house where most of the rooms were taken up by staff members. He grew up in the shady part of town. Due to his money he was able to make a name for himself very fast. His wit and polished tongue enabled him to gain control over whatever he wanted, that money couldn’t get him. As bad as this was, it taught him a certain level of survival, being among all these “lower class” people, he would likely call them. He sharpened what he was good at to protect what he was horrible at. As he got older this became more and more natural to him, growing up to be a mini-kingpin of sorts, while still in his late teens. His brother, along with his mom and dad, were all very close, going on trips and buying all sorts of things all of the time. His dad tried hard to maintain a sort of discipline, but he lacked a lot himself. He knew the basics to a lot of random things one could have knowledge about. He would say “I know a little bit about a lot, and a lot about very little.” They would also join competitive shooting events, as his dad owned a popular firearms company. His mother was very loving, always supportive of both her sons. Maybe a bit too much when it comes to spoiling them. Velvet was always trying to be in competition with his brother. But due to his disease there was just a little too much of a power difference to really compete. His family never really made a big deal about his disease. Growing up, they would worry but Velvet seemed to learn very quickly what his condition was. This blossomed into an amazing confidence, and once his operation was done, that just magnified his self perceived power even more. Until one day, His brother and father were murdered, unable to find whoever was responsible. This ruined and humbled Velvet. Velvet grew determined to protect his mother and become stronger. So, they packed their bags and moved close to Vale and started going to school at Beacon.
A little bit before his father was murder, he made customer handguns for him and his brother. He now wears both in honor of them both. He keeps them both on his right side. With a holster on his hip, and a shoulder holster. With his cane mainly dominating his whole left hand, this was much more comfortable for him.

█PRIMARY WEAPON █ ▬ Velvet & Buzzsaw █ ▬ Velvet Buzzsaw, Are to pristinely made handguns, created by Velvets father. Velvet was made for Velvet, a slow firing precise powerful handgun. Well Buzzsaw was made for Velvet’s brother. A fast firing, more close range, pistol. █ █Range Form A(Velvet) ▬ Basic longer distance shot. █Range Form B(Velvet) ▬ Flare shot, Able to shoot a long distance thermite flare. █Range Form A(Buzzsaw) ▬ Basic close range shot █Range Form B(Buzzsaw) ▬ Ricochet, a rubber-titanium bullet used to shoot perps around corners and behind walls. Can be used in standoff situations to allow Velet to shoot around innocence. █Ammo Type ▬ Ammo Physical █ ▬ Velvet only has one hand available at most times. So he for one, has to choose which one he thinks will be appropriate for the immediate moment. But he is also at a disadvantage of having both of his hands in use. They offer a lot in utility but not a lot in power.

█*Name ▬ Cardigan Joints █*Aura Color ▬ A deep dark purple █*Description ▬ A physical manifestation of Velvet’s love for manipulating people. His aura connects to a willing individual creature’s joints, enabling him to control them loosely like a marionette. A dark purple energy emits from the joints of the creature. He spends a lot of time trying to perfect this skill. Hoping to be able to control stronger creatures in the future. The problem is not competing mental strengths, rather the issue lies in the creatures actual physical strength of the creature breaking the joints with little force.
I plan on creating the other levels as time goes on, as I figure this kind of power could be a bit too powerful if used the wrong way. So I would like the insight of the judges on perhaps a good way to continue with it. █ ▬ (General Description: In the 3 following bullets please describe how your semblance improves over levels) █*LEVEL 0 ▬ (0-99 posts) Velvet's Semblance takes hold of his or a willing creature/ally's joints as if tied by an invisible string. He is able to dodge quickly with this skill. As well as giving himself a double jump in midair. Or a burst of quick reaction time with a limb, like trying to catch something. All of these take a lot of power and can not be used in quick succession or very often. Post Delays: Can be used every other post, but if used 3 times within 6 posts the delay becomes a full 3 post wait. █*LEVEL 1▬ (100-199 posts) █*LEVEL 2▬ (200-299 posts) █*LEVEL 3 ▬ (300-399 posts) █*DRAWBACKS ▬ Only being able to move people like Puppets/Marionettes. Focused on the joints of the target. A very rudimentary type of control. These movements cost a lot of power, and until later levels, they are not able to be used in rapid succession or for long periods of time.

• More of a curiosity on my part than anything else: Why the mix of numbers and letters for things like the nickname (7h3pupp37m4573r (The PuppetMaster) andm4c6yv3r (Macgyver))? • Another personal curiosity, more than anything else: His tattoos, what in his backstory inspired them? Why does he have them? • Iron-Will I am fine with as it is defined well enough. • "Open book" I would think would serve better in the Nature section rather than a Talent. • god complex should be god-complex. • As for the Miscellaneous section, might I just say, I do like it.

• Agile: This is defined as "able to move quickly and easily" Or "able to think and understand quickly". But not both at once. So, that does not explain being in the right place at the right time which would count as another skill/talent rather than combining two or even three in one. So please remove these lines: "and/or being in the right place at the right time, when needed. Due to proper planning and quick thinking, combine with this dexterity." • Other Talents: As it is not clear which Talent is which I have worked it out this way (please correct me if I'm wrong. - Wordsmith: defined as "a skilled user of words". May be reworded as "A man of poetry and elegance, he very precise with his words. - Smooth Talker or Silver-tongued: "Able talking himself out, or perhaps in-to many different situations." • One concern with your other weapons: the bombs take a certain knowledge that your skill MacGyver would not be able to possess, so how did he come by them? • My main concern with both the Primary and Other Weapons, you do not seem to list a skill nor a talent for any (i.e. Marksmanship, Melee Weapon or Ranged Weapon knowledge). • Primary Weapon: - Though you are allowed to have two weapons as a primary but, they cannot be doing two different transformations. - As for the two different transformations, this would count as 4 total and that is normally okay but, with the drawback of usually making the weapon weaker when not covered in aura. - There are some good examples of two gun primary weapons listed below: Example 1 Example 2 Example 3 Example 4 • Semblance: - It seems a bit confusing as to whom you are referring to when you say the pronoun "he" as it seems to only refer to himself at all times; rather than the gender neutral terms that could refer to anyone (like his target). - Does the target even get a chance to dodge if playing unwilling or say a weaker Grimm? - I guess one question, besides if target gets to dodge, is the willing part OOC or in character. Like does he need to ask the person OOC, or does he need the person in character to trust? (the former lets him affect Grimm, the latter does not). - "Or a burst of quick reaction time with a limb." Does this mean it's just a 1 post dodge? - As for his semblance attaching to himself, as it is currently worded, you might be able to surpass Velvet's weakest skill. That is usually frowned upon. **Please add the drawback: "Though he is able to manipulate his own body, this by no means give him a boost and is still at risk of injury from his disease." - "All of these take a lot of power and cannot be used in quick succession or very often." Does this mean it leaves him weak and must rest/sleep afterwards? (as I would think it would take a lot of mental power, especially after controlling an unwilling person). - This whole time that he has the "puppet" on his string, Does he direct with his hand or can he do so with his mind? - Also how strong would someone need to be to break the "joints" of aura? Like is it just by level or by talent/ skill? - How long can he control a person? I see there are cool-downs for his movement abilities, but not for how long semblance can be used. - How many people it can affect at a time? - Personally, I would suggest you add that he can use his semblance for 6 posts use, with 3 post cool-down and can affect 1 person at a time at level 0. So, please remove: "but if used 3 times within 6 posts the delay becomes a full 3 post wait." as that is confusing.
