◆ Sᴛʀᴇɴɢᴛʜs: - Master swordsman - Veteran hand to hand combat specialist - Immense strength - Immense speed - Immense magic power - Fine magic control - High pain tolerance - Ambidexterity - Perfect balance

◆ Wᴇᴀᴘᴏɴs: Queen's Blade A elegantly crafted cutlass made of Alakatasian Steel, steel only forged in Alakatasia. It mirrors some properties of obsidian, such as its sharp edge, but it is as hard and durable as steel. It has several carvings on the blade and a guard embellished with flowers. Attached to the pommel is a ribbon made of Chaianese Leather with a weighted tassel at the end. Though it looks more like a treasure, this sword can withstand the elements and magic. It has never once been broken, chipped, scratched, stained or sharpened. Many who recognize this tool may also know it as "The Immortal Blade".
Automaton A mechanical arm made of an unknown material that is almost organic in its functionality. However, it is also as metallic as it appears; being drawn in by magnets and conducting electricity. This also means it is as durable as metal and can fend off most blades. It is even more dexterous than the average human arm, though it is heavier. Given a small spark of ethernano, the user can control it as if it were their own. As a prosthetic, the user does not have feeling in the arm, even when it is subjected to its weakness: electricity. Instead, the arm will become temporarily unresponsive. Automaton has two additional functions than the typical arm. The first being a detachable hand which is tethered at the wrist by a sturdy cable. While detached, the hand can still be manipulated as normal. This allows for an extended grab, a means to capturing the enemy or a long range attack. When used, the hand fires off the wrist like a rocket at incredible speeds. The retraction is only half as fast and potentially even slower when drawing something in, depending on what it is. The second function is a small cannon that is exposed by snapping the hand down and revealing the barrel. This cannon prepares an anti-matter laser beam using a little of the user's own magic power. The blast can heavily damage its target on impact; however, the entire arm will temporarily go limp after three uses.
◆ Aʀᴍᴏʀ: Robes of Izanami Robes made of a highly dense unique material called Chaianese Leather, that deters magic and absorbs blunt force. It even resists sharp blades, not easily being damaged. The cloth boasts the strength of iron, yet remains surprisingly lightweight and incredibly soft. It was first discovered in Chaian; however, it is far too rare to be available commercially.

◆ Name:
◆ Personality: Wild by nature, she acts more like a feral cat than your average Exceed. She walks on all fours half the time and is even prone to meowing. Having raised herself since she was a kitten, she is very independent and capable of taking care of herself. A touch on the violent side, she isn't afraid to fight, even if her opponent is significantly bigger than her. What she lacks in brains, she makes up in instinct, which is usually to respond with aggression. Gryphi may be feisty, but she is usually calm and reserved; looking for something to eat, somewhere to sleep or something to play with.

◎◎ [Magic: Aera] ◎◎
◎ Aera is a Magic that allows its users to sprout large angelic wings that give them the ability to fly. While flying, the user can carry objects or people, but is limited to carrying only one passenger. Furthermore, there is also a time limit to how long the user can fly, as the wings disappear after the user's Magic Power is depleted. The users can also change the speed in which they fly, but the faster they go, the more Magic Power they consume.
» Max Speed: By using Magic Power the user increases their speed to the extremes, allowing them to fly a distance relative to the amount they used. This speed can be used to dodge incoming attacks. While using this spell, the user can also carry one additional person. However, this spell is restricted by the amount of Magic Power the user has, as once the user runs out, they will collapse.
» Max Speed Attack: While flying and using Max Speed, the user strikes the target with their head, dealing a strong blow. This spell is powerful enough to destroy a Lacrima from the Thunder Palace.
◎◎ [Magic: Feral Battle Mode Shift] ◎◎
◎ The Feral Battle Mode Shift ability grants the user to temporarily transform into a larger-sized scale of oneself, gaining an increase in strength, stamina, and power. This mode, however, has been shown to be difficult to manage, as the user can usually only maintain it for a short period of time.
» Transformation: Allows the user to temporarily transform into to a wild cat, gaining an increase in strength, stamina, and power. This mode, however, has been shown to be difficult to manage, as the user can usually only maintain it for a short period of time.
◎ An old and powerful Magic that turns the user's willpower into raw tangible energy. Through their will the user can face great physical pain and psychological trauma and will refuse to surrender no matter how much the odds are stacked against them, pushing themselves past their own limitations. Such limitations include incredible strength that rivals even the mightiest of monsters. Speed and reflexes become so fast that they can contest sound. Durability like diamond that allows the caster to touch the untouchable. It takes the form of a fiery aura around them when in use as well as giving their eyes a shimmer. Although this energy seems limitless, it takes a considerable amount of time to build up. Willpower is built up every time the user lands a hit or takes damage while cloaked in their resolve. The build up has a maximum of fifteen, at which point the user becomes super powered; entering a state brimming with energy. There are a total of five levels, each being triggers once the user gains a multiple of three in charges. After using a charge, the user will remain in the last state they were in for three post unless they regain the needed energy.
BASIC SPELLS » Tiě Jiāng This spell is the only one that doesn't require a build up of energy and can be activated at any level. It cloaks Riho in a blazing aura that empowers her by granting her emotional and psychological impunity, pain tolerance, and a sharper focus. While using this spell, Riho can gather more energy to be used for the other spells in her magic. She simply must take damage or deal damage while this cloak is active. It is why this spell doesn't use as much magic in order to remain active.
» Tiě Jiāng: Bàozhà A spell that requires at least one charge of energy, it allows Riho to expand her aura outward as a shockwave. This move lets her physically repel anything that comes in contact with her aura, send it away with a powerful pressure. Any person hit by this attack will equate it to being hit by an invisible blunt force with incredible strength. The more power Riho accumulates, the stronger this spell is when released. At Lv. 0, it can send C-Rank wizards and spells flying back. At Lv. 1, it can send B-Rank wizards and spells flying back. At Lv. 2, it can send A-Rank wizards and spells flying back. At Lv. 3, it can send S-Rank wizards and spells flying back. At Lv. 4, it can send Guild Master Ranked wizards and spells flying back. At Lv. 5, it can send Saint Ranked wizards and spells flying back.
» Tiě Jiāng: Huīfù Riho can transfer her energy to her wounds to accelerate healing. It's power varies per level, but it can also be shared with others. At Lv. 0, it can heal small cuts, wounds and bruises. At Lv. 1, it heal moderate cuts and wounds. At Lv. 2, it can heal serious injuries. At Lv. 3, it can partially mend fatal injuries. At Lv. 4, it can fully heal fatal injuries. At Lv. 5, it can restore recently lost limbs.
ADVANCED SPELLS » Tiě Jiāng: Yī Niánjí After obtaining 3 charges, the Will Aura evolves: gifting Riho enhanced strength, enough to lift small vehicles and bend metal. She becomes fast enough to move at and beyond 85 mph, as well as fast enough to follow the trajectory of bullets. Being tough enough to withstand being thrown off a tall building unscathed, this state is strong enough for most combat. It also retains the original abilities of Tiě Jiāng.
» Tiě Jiāng: Èr Niánjí After obtaining 6 charges, the Will Aura evolves: gaining enhanced strength, strong enough to lift heavy vehicles and punch through steel. It becomes fast enough to move at subsonic speeds, makes Riho agile enough to leap over small buildings and dodge supersonic attacks. It becomes durable enough to withstand bullets, grenades and low-to-medium explosives. It also retains the abilities of the levels before it.
» Tiě Jiāng: Sān Niánjí After obtaining 9 charges, the Will Aura evolves: though not much changes from the previous grades. Though what makes this state different is the change in property of the aura. It now has a burning effect to it, though it doesn't act like fire at all. It cannot be extinguished with water or suffocated by a lack of oxygen. Her aura also doesn't burn unless she wants it to, allowing her to avoid harming allies by accident. It also retains the abilities of the levels before it.
» Tiě Jiāng: Sì Niánjí After obtaining 12 charges, the Will Aura evolves: gaining super strength, strong enough to lift construction vehicles and destroy thick steel. It reaches speeds fast enough to easily move at supersonic speeds and durable enough to withstand most explosions. It also retains the abilities of the levels before it.
» Tiě Jiāng: Wǔ Niánjí After obtaining 15 charges, the Will Aura evolves: gaining super strength, strong enough to lift large aircrafts and destroy the toughest metals. It reaches speeds fast enough to easily move at hypersonic speeds (and beyond) and becomes durable enough to take powerful explosions. It also retains the abilities of the levels before it. As the final form Riho can attain, she can now manipulate her aura freely, turning them into multiple extended arms and shaping it into various large figures, such as a dragon's head or a tiger's claw.
» Tiě Jiāng: Qǐfā Riho can share her energy with others, granting them a boost in power similar to her own. Though it only puts others into Yī Niánjí form, it also only lasts for 3 posts. After which, the power will fade away. Riho can share her power with as many people as she wants, granted she has the charges to share: 1 person = 1 charge. This means, at most she can empower 15 people with her power with a max charge.
◎◎ Sub Magic: Sword Magic ◎◎
◎ A Magic which, as the name itself suggests, is focused around the use of swords, with those weapons acting as mediums for the user to perform particular attacks. Many of such moves are shown capable of going past the physical reach of the blade employed in their use, threatening foes at short-to-mid range. Some Sword Magic techniques seem to involve the use of elements commonly found employed by elemental forms of Magic, such as Fire Magic or Water Magic; in addition, the user can also remotely maneuver several swords at the same time. A number of different blades can be employed for such Magic, with the most recurring ones being longswords and katana. In some cases, certain moves might even involve the change of the sword's properties, such as its length.
BASIC SPELLS » Moon Flash Riho rushes past her target, slashing it in a cross pattern.
» Pentagram Sword Riho slashes her sword in the shape of a pentagram at the target.
» Rahonavis This attack is accomplished by focusing ones will into the center of their sword. Once the aura emerges, the wielder can swing the sword and release a powerful energy wave that has the power to kill 100 monsters in a single sweep. This spell's maximum height of attacking enemies is up to 80 feet from the ground.
» Grand Cardinal After raising her sword above her head, Riho delivers a powerful vertical slice to her opponent, usually at an angle. This attack can easily slice through solid stone and rattle barriers.
» Blooming Swallow Using one sword wielded in her left hand with her right hand gripping her left wrist for support (or vice-versa), Riho jumps high up into the air and slashes her opponent. After slashing them, Riho's opponent then has flower petals burst from where they were slashed.
» Violent Wing Wielding her sword in one hand, it brought up above her adjacent should in preparation to swing. When swung, she performs a horizontal slice while spinning with the moment, creating a 360 horizontal spin attack. The force of this attack can fend off projectiles such as arrows and bullets. It will also cut anything that dares to get too close.
» Crow Flash After throwing her sword past her target, she will quickly teleport to it and grab hold of it again. Now behind her opponent, she delivers a critical strike to the back.
» Hawk Flash This technique allows Riho to teleport the slashes from her sword, giving her the ability of cutting from a distance. The furthest she can cut is 100 feet and she can cut at most three times in a row.
ADVANCED SPELLS » Blumenblatt Riho summons a fair amount of sharpened flower petals and then charges at the target, slicing them with her sword in hand. As she rushes past, the summoned petals will follow, acting as a secondary strike.
» Rahonavis: Return The technique builds up from Rahonavis. When an opponent with strong magic spell unleashes an attack, this technique can use the Rahonavis to engulf the enemy's attack in a twister and reverse its flow back on them, with the added power of the Rahonavis. The user's magic must be greater than the opponent's own magic or else the technique will fail.
» Grand Cardinal Shock This technique consists of Riho running towards her opponent with her sword held outstretched in one arm. She then executes a two handed overhead swing used to split her opponent into two from the top down. The power of the move is such that even after cutting through the body, the attack still results in a powerful shockwave that can cut through the floor several meters ahead.
» Rahonavis Lilium A special attack that launches a storm of sharp flower petals that are able to pierce the strongest barriers. It can also be used in conjunction with Rahonavis to create a more devastating attack.
» Trochilidae Lilium After creating a second sword from her flower petals, Riho performs a 5-hit combo: slashing twice with each blade and finishing with a X-slash. The final hit has her dash past the target where afterwards, razor sharp petals will burst from the cut.
» Murderous Flash Riho slashes with her sword then warps to another side of her target to slash again. She does this a total of three times before burning out her number of successive teleportation jumps.
» Eagle Flash Focusing on her target, Riho can teleport a short range in front of her opponent to attack. Using the momentum from the short range jump, her attack is more powerful than most would assume. Sadly, this also leaves her wide open to attack.
◎◎ Sub Magic: Blossom ◎◎
◎ Magic that gifts the user the ability to manipulate various flower petals. The petals are expelled through the user's exposed skin, either bursting off or fluttering slowly. Both light and delicate, the petals can float effortlessly through the air, making for quick and easy maneuverability. But unlike natural petals, they can become razor sharp to slice through hard and dense materials. This magic also allows the caster to harness photogenic energy; absorbing sunlight through the petals and transforming that energy into a viable source of power.
BASIC SPELLS » Streuen Lilium Wizards who master this Magic can also achieve an extra, extremely versatile avenue of usage for such Magic: turning their own bodies into petals at will. Such a peculiar employment allows them to become more evasive to physical attacks as they can burst into petals and move about quickly before reassembling. However, Mages with a body solely composed of petals are still susceptible to fire, which can immobilize them and inflict damage upon them.
» Ersatz Lilium Riho can gather a mass of flower petals and use them to create a body double. The clone is identical in every way and even has mass. Sadly, they aren't very strong and also lack the ability to communicate.
» Regen Lilium Generating a million flower petals, they fill the air and gently fall back down to the ground. In this state, the petals are harmless, serving only to hindering vision and get in the way with their density.
» Stimme Lilium Riho can create a flower by combining a few of the petals together. These flowers don't wilt naturally and are used to communicate with Riho or other flowers created by this spell. Their range is infinite and their signals aren't hindered by other objects. It is even possible for Riho to track these flowers when they are within a 5 mile radius of her person.
» Schützen Lilium Summoning a mass of petals, Riho can use them to form a durable wall to block attacks and intercept enemies. As a quick crafted shield, it isn't very durable and serves only to cushion or absorb a single attack.
» Schleier Lilium Riho summons her flower petals to surround her opponent(s) and cover them head to toe with flower petals. They will weigh down their victim and restrict their movements. However, when she uses it on herself, she can use them to help cushion the blows from attacks.
» Kunst Lilium Finely compressing her petals, they can be used to create multiple weapons of various sizes and shapes. Once the weapon has been used three times, it will break. - Schwert (Sword / Katana / Scimitar) - Axt (Axe / Halberd) - Klinge (Zweihander / Giant Sword) - Lanze (Lance / Spear / Javelin)
» Versteckt Lilium Riho can alter the color of her petals to make them blend in with the environment. She can use these on herself or cover something else to hide in plain sight.
ADVANCED SPELLS » Lilium Sturm Riho summons a large mass of two thousand petals that she can control, having them shred opponents with their sharp edges at a distance and break through almost any defense. The petals can be used for defensive purposes, as they can protect Riho from an incoming sword swing.
» Lilium Granate Compressing the petals into a sphere and having them condense sunlight energy in the center, a powerful bomb can be created. This bomb is 60 inches in circumference and powerful enough to demolish a 10 story building.
» Lilium Aufladen Absorbing the sunlight, the petals become supercharged with energy that will be unleashed when touched. While one petal has the destructive power to damage a stone column, Riho summons a thousand petals that brimming with energy. When directed at an enemy all at once, these petals can level a building with ease.
◎◎ Main Magic: Teleportation ◎◎
◎ This Magic allows the user to cover very large distances in the blink of an eye. It makes for an extremely fast and effective means of transportation, and can also be used in combat when the situation requires fast actions. In addition, the user has the ability to transport multiple individuals (provided he/she is in solid contact with them) to any given location.
BASIC SPELLS » Direct Line The user is able to teleport to any location in a direct line at blinding speeds.
» Direct Line: Charge The user teleports in a direct line to the intended target, using their elbow to knock down the target.
» Direct Line: Launch The user teleports in a direct line to the intended target, performing a kick upward to "launch" the enemy into the air.
» Direct Zone This spell allows Riho to teleport in any location within a 5 mile range, although not as fast as Direct Line. She can do this three times in succession before needing a cooldown.
» Direct Teleport Allows Riho to teleport to any place she's been before by focusing on her memory of the location. Unless she's actually been to the place, she cannot teleport off a description. Alternatively, she can teleport someone else to a place she's been without warping herself.
» Direct Trajectory The user can throw something and have it teleport in whichever direction they choose; however, only in a 10 foot radius of their person.
ADVANCED SPELLS » Direct Magic Riho can teleport to any person by locking onto their magic energy. Doing so requires them to have touched the person and it only registers up to three targets. Memorizing a new target will cause the oldest mark to disappear.
» Flash Zone This spell is what allows Riho to generate a special zone around her person that allows her to teleport almost instant in that area. This area covers 5 meters around her body and grants her the ability to teleport things that she isn't touching as well. It lets her transport projectiles away from her or teleport her own spells at most 100 feet away. She's only able to use this spell and all other advanced spells with the "Flash" name once every three posts.
◎◎ Ultimate Magic Attacks ◎◎
» Takamagahara Riho's strongest sword technique; she uses this with a petal crafted uchigatana. Starting with both arms at her sides and in a sword stance, she moves them up perpendicular to her body until they are above her head. With her hands in position, the petals converge and form the blade her hands. Her body surges with energy as she transfers it to her weapon, which now takes a bright white color. Riho then swings the long blade down before her, to hit her opponent. The immense power of this technique will literally cut a city in half and leave a massive 2000 ft wide rift in its wake. After the spell, the sword will break and the rift will crackle with magical energy. When used toward the sky, this attack can clear a cloudy sky.
» Tiě Jiāng: Èr Fēng A spell that activates automatically, triggered when Riho receives a fatal injury not related to her head or heart. The will to persevere in the face of death fills her to the brim with willpower, transforming her to it's strongest form. Generating from her body as a massive aura, Riho gains immense physical strength, speed and durability. Her wounds heal quickly and she can repel magic by extending her aura outwards. This power-up only lasts for 3 posts, after which, Riho passes out and her fatal injury is partially healed.

◆ Pᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ: Riho is a cold-hearted woman who doesn't feel one way or another about the people around her. She's fine with leaving her allies behind if they hinder her, unconcerned for their well being. To her enemies, she would slaughter them without a second thought and dismisses the idea of mercy altogether. Detached from her surroundings, she shows no interest in the plight of others or what others might consider a tragedy. It is of no concern to her; meaning she might overhear things, but doesn't care much more than that. Being as independent as she is, it comes as no surprise to those who know her that she's almost always alone. Keeping others at arms length and far way unless necessary, no one really knows much about Riho besides her cold personality and violent behavior that unearths itself from time to time. When she gets upset, she will sometimes express herself in a very "animated" way that usually ends in a broken wall. It is a shock to anyone who sees her explosive and aggressive anger, but perhaps it is a part of her true persona that hides behind that pensive and serious glare. She can also be quite impatient; a time when no one would want to see her brutality that she would subject to others.
Most people would call Riho an awful person at first impressions and it's hard to say if that icy and cruel temperament is all there is to her. And yet, there lies some form of compassion in this woman's black heart. Though most people would not warrant her attention, Riho seems to have a soft spot for those who are less fortunate. Be they homeless, handicapped or worse, it strikes a chord in her that draws out some form of warmth from within. Though she usually doesn't express it through words, the Spriggan's actions speak loud and clear. Perhaps because she knows what it's like to be in their predicament and wants to help in some way, as she would have wanted for herself. She also has a soft spot for a certain animal, though she usually keeps this hidden. One other undeniable facet of this mercenary that she has come to be known for is her strong will. Very little can move her convictions and nothing comes close to shaking her resolve. Tenaciously, she has overcome every hurdle in her life with few beside her. Convinced the woman must fight for herself, Riho fights with everything she has and then some. With everything she's been through, it is hard to say if she will proceed along a dark path or a path of redemption. She could just as easily become tomorrows enemy or an ally for life. Yet as Riho continues to push people away, due to a deep rooted fear, her future is uncertain...
◆ Bɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ: Seiza Village
Seiza Village is a small secluded village in Chainan, not easily found in the mountains. People rarely leave and visitors are an even more unusual occurrence. It is a place that has not grown with the times, sticking to its roots and tradition. Not too many people are versed in magic despite it's rich history with Celestial Spirits. Seiza was founded in a magic rich environment by those who wished to learn more about the spirits and protect them. It so saturated that Celestial Spirits have been known to appear briefly without the need of gate keys. As such, there is no need for the keys and in fact the only one with a key is the village leader. The head of the village was also the designated Shaman and protector of their home. Since the foundation, this has been the role those of the Mikaboshi Clan served as they produced several that held high magic power even at a young age. And so, as first born daughter of her family, Riho was destined to become the next leader of their village. From a young age, she was trained by her mother how to summon Celestial Spirits and the order of Seiza Village. Only six years old, but she could already summon spirits, proving to be a promising leader in the near future. Not only was she set for the position, but she herself had come to want it. All of the villagers were depending on her and she didn't want to let them down. But all of that changed two years later, when her sister had become her rival. Rei and her were close, always spending time together when training allowed it. It happened during the Ascension Festival; when the title of village leader was passed on, this title going from their grandmother to their mother. Those with magic would get to use a gate key provided by the village leader to shoot a firework into the sky in celebration; the more magic one had, the higher and bigger the firework was. Both her mother and grandmother were impressed with Rei's ability, showing more promise than Riho when she was that age. And so their mother began training them both to be the next leaders of the village. She no longer spared time to play with her sister, she was her competition now. And Riho became obsessed with getting stronger to achieve her goal. Three years seemed to have come and gone, but the time had come for them both to prove themselves. Pitted against her eight year old sister, their mother decided she would only set time aside to train one of them from this point forward. In a contest of power, Riho had no problem beating her sister...and yet, in the end, Rei was chosen over her. Why? She tried to argue her ability over her sibling's, but her words fell on deaf ears and was warned not to question the decisions of the village leader. In Seiza Village, the matriarch's word was law and never to be questioned. And just like that, Riho's dream was snatched away from her, leaving her lost on what to do now. Becoming the successor was all she ever wanted, all she ever lived for. The young girl came to loathe her mother and her sister, who robbed her of a future. She wanted Rei to hurt like she did, to know what she had done to her. Out of rage, she attacked her one night to accomplish this, unintentionally almost killing her. Rei acted in self defense, striking Riho with a sharp barrier in her right eye. She was treated after the incident, but she didn't expect what came next. Deemed as a threat to the future of the village, her own mother would cast her out, forever to be banished. Riho understood her actions to be extreme, but she didn't really wish to kill her sister. But no one would fight for her; those eyes the villagers gave her cut deep. As for Rei, she just stood there silently, not even making eye contact.
War Orphan
~Age 12~ Not even twelve years old, Riho was thrown out of her home and left to fend for herself. She was angry and sorry, but most of all, she was terrified. What was she to do? The poor girl hardly knew of the world outside Seiza and now she had figure out how to survive. So the child wandered with only a backpack of food, water and a change of clothes. Days and nights passed, her rations running low with each passing day. And then one night, she would finally find a civilization. The child came across a camp full of injured, sick, women and other children. It was a camp for those who had lost their homes to the war, as Riho would come to learn. No one bat an eye when she opted to settle here, but it didn't take her long to see that everyone kept to themselves. She had to gather her own food and build a bed to sleep, things she learned from watching the others. While it wasn't as bad as she expected, Riho could not hold back the tears. She missed her home, the Celestial Spirits, even her sister! But she was even more terrified of dying in a place like this; someplace so cold and isolated…
And then she came to know of the bandits. Soldiers who deserted the war and resorted to pillaging villages and camps. Sometimes the soldiers caught bandits and punished them. But more often than not, the settlements fell victim to the savages. Such was the case with Riho’s camp when it was set upon by these deserters in the dead of night. They were all subjected to the whims of these men, a good number being killed. Riho managed to escape with one other kid, a boy whose mothers sacrificed herself to give them that opportunity. After they fled, the small duo opted to go find help. Perhaps the reason they weren't pursued is because the deserters knew no one would help them. Every platoon they came across stated they could not spare manpower for one camp. Riho was at a loss; anger and frustration at being powerless welling inside of her. The children would settle in the woods for the night and continued this for three days. They were not to know of the dangers that laid in wait of them each night until disaster struck. A snow leopard came across them, attacking and killing the boy as they slept. The girl who had just awoken, was beside herself with fear and rage. She grabbed the closest stone she could find and blindsided the wild cat while it was finishing off its victim. Such a strong blow to the head was good enough to leave it discombobulated and susceptible to several more blows. Riho continued to rain blow after blow until she caved its head in. All the anger in her heart had finally reached a boiling point and it was now being released on the feline’s head. The jagged sharp stone now cutting her hand would not stop her from assaulting the deceased animal. Rather, it was a passing group who heard the screams in the dead of night. The leader of this group was a man named Arturas, the one who would pull the child from her skull bashing frenzy.
Insomnia
Once she calmed down, the group decided to set up camp and allowed the girl to stay with them. Quiet at first, she worked up the nerve to ask who they were and what they were doing out here. The leader explained that they went by the name Insomnia. They were hired to participate in this war and help bring it to a swifter end for the sake of their own country and trade exports that were hindered by the fighting. Hearing that, it occurred to the girl that if she wanted to survive in this world, she had to learn how to fight for herself. The following morning, she sought Arturas to train her so that she could do just that. But alas, she received the same reply as she did from all the others. Regardless, Riho followed the men, studying and watching them. Though it wasn't long before she was found and warned to stop or be killed. But the girl adamantly stood and faced their blades. Without their help, she was dead either way, she figured. Her resolve shocked them; Arturas then agreed to help the poor girl, for if nothing, she had piqued his interest. Insomnia hailed from the far country of Alvarez and so Riho was taught what would be considered “foreign" swordplay and fighting styles. While they all taught her, Arturas was her main mentor who kept her by his side.
~Five years later - Age 17~ Riho spent five years with the men up until the war's end, learning all she could from Arturas and his group of mercenaries. Years of bloodshed, Riho participated in it as it meant she could stay and continue to learn from Insomnia. From Arturas, she learned how to use several different weapons and was even found capable of inheriting his powerful Magic. And once she was certain she could take care of herself and learned all she wanted from Arturas, she took her leave from the group rather abruptly. Riho wasn't sure what she wanted to do in the end, but she was tired of fighting someone else's war. It didn't matter where she went or what she wanted to do, she believed nothing would get in her way again. Arturas didn't try to stop her, though he did suggest he visit their home country if she had nothing better to do. And so, the young lady made the long journey to Alakitasia, unsure what she would find. Perhaps the old man wanted her to see what they were fighting for, but she doubted it would change her mind.
The Romageddon Coliseum: Beginning
~One year later - Age 18~ Riho took her time going to Alakitasia, enjoying her freedom for the first time in her life. No duties or obligations, no one threatening her life or need to end the lives of others. She traveled, wandering around the world for a year before reaching her destination. If only she knew the trouble that awaited her, she may not have ever come. Vistarion was a welcoming sight to see, if not a bit overwhelming to what she was used to. It kept her from staying long and pushed her further out west of Alvarez. That was when she was suddenly attacked, shot with a tranquilizer from an unknown origin. Before she could react, Riho collapsed on the ground, unconscious. The girl was stuffed in a carriage and brought far across the continent to a city called Romageddon. It was a remote city known widely across Alakitasia for it's massive coliseum that put even Domus Flau to shame. As large as a small city on its own, it was rumored to have been built first before the buildings housing the city inhabitants. Despite how beautiful the city appeared to be, there was a truly ugly side right beneath the surface.
Riho was sold to the coliseum itself as a contender in the games with the only other option available to her being death. With a strange magic collar around her neck that threatened her life, it was unwise to act against their wishes. Before being shown to her quarters, she expected a shoddy looking holding cell to keep her. In reality, the place was well kept and almost as nice as the exterior. But it didn't take her long to see that everyone kept to themselves. She was given good quality food and a nice cot to sleep on which was much better than sleeping on the ground. While it wasn't as bad as she expected, Riho detested the idea of being held against her will and being used as a tool for others yet again. When she was forced to fight her first opponent, it was a surprise to her that they'd have her fight two full grown black lions. Riho could even hear the roars of laughter over the beast, fighting back the urge to through her sword into the stands. No, she had to be cautious and "entertain" these fools for now. These spectators were actually taking pleasure in seeing her fail. How she would shock and awe them all when she felled the felines, jamming her sword into one's left eye and the other taking a blade in the ear. Quick merciful deaths for the poor creatures at the cost of a few cuts from their sharp claws. Riho could now hear the stands, a mixture of jeers and applause for her victory. Whatever it took, she was determined to find a way out of this horrible place.
The Romageddon Coliseum: The Princess
~Four years later - Age 22~ Over the years, the young lady made quite a name for herself as a gladiator. From violent chariot races to free for all battles, Riho would come out on top with nothing more than a few scrapes. The people cheered her on and applauded her every victory and she hated every second of it....at first. Eventually she just got used to it; all the fighting and killing. She wondered what the point of leaving was, it wasn't like she had someplace to go. Nothing to do, no ambitions... Here she was taken care of and all she had to do was keep fighting. Something about this place...it was slowly, but surely changing her. There was no room for mercy as she had adopted the mantra of "kill or be killed". She had lost sight of her goal to escape the coliseum; this had become her life now...until she showed up. A beautiful young woman from a faraway country that was taken prisoner and brought to this place. She was a princess, or at least she used to be, by the name of Ingrid. Her kindness made it seem hard to believe, but in the arena, she could compete and fight with the best of them. With her spear, Gae Derg and almost weightless movements, she would have be a highly favored gladiator, if she didn't refuse to kill. And apparently, she took a great interest in Riho because she was so young in comparison. Riho, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with her, well aware what happens when you "make friends" in this place. The princess; however, was very persistent and was eager to get her out of this place. Whether she intended to or not, Ingrid had caused the girl to think about life outside of this bloodsport once more.
~One year later - Age 23~ Over following year, the teen came to know the princess more from her constantly bothering her. Though she tried to keep her distance, Riho caught wind of an assassin that was hired to kill the princess and felt compelled to do something. She staked out nights until she eventually caught them fleeing in the act. After killing the assassin, she was able to get Ingrid the medical attention she needed and saved her life. Upon learning this, the Overseer was furious and decided to make an example of them both by pitting them against one another. Riho decided she had no choice but to fight Ingrid, even though she didn't want to. However, things went very differently from what she expected when she fought the princess. To her surprise, the former royal had the upper hand in their battle and possibly could've ended it far too many times for the girl to count. Laid battered and beaten, Riho had fallen in defeat much to her shock. She didn't want to die- not like this. Yet, Ingrid still refused to kill, which is what landed her in this predicament in the first place. But the Overseer wasn't giving her a choice: it was either she killed or they would both die. What came next, not even the young gladiator saw coming. To save her life, Ingrid took her own with a smile on her face. It was an eye opener for sure and for Riho, it was even a wake up call. This life...was not a life she really wanted. She had fallen into the trap of this wicked place...but no longer! The Overseer was still very much furious; however, spared Riho as she was still a valuable asset to him.
The Romageddon Coliseum: Vengeance
As she laid in recovery, Riho couldn't stop thinking about Ingrid. It was the first time someone did something like that for her. Perhaps the first time in a long time, she remembered what it felt like to have someone care about her. She never realized how much Ingrid actually meant...until she was gone. And it was the first time in a long time that she shed tears... Riho was not given much time; once she finished recuperating, she was sent back into the arena. When she did...she was met with a gruesome sight that sent a chill down her spine. With her sole eye, she would see the corpse of her late friend bare and on display. While her sacrifice was a blessing to Riho, they all saw it as a mockery to the sport and treated her thusly. At that moment, something snapped in the white haired woman. Her opponent was a man named Colossus who was very large in size with an equally large sword. The "Man Slayer" they called him, his appearance alone sending shivers down his opponent's spine. Even Ingrid struggled to fight him, leaving their fight in a draw. But in this very moment, Riho's eyes were empty: she stared right through him, unfazed even a little. When he swung his sword, the woman swung faster, splitting his arm in two. the cheering crowd was suddenly hushed as they watched their champion slaughtered in all but two swings of a sword. Those blank eyes portrayed a coldness that could be felt in the audience. Riho stared up at the Overseer who also seemed to be rattled by the white haired woman's demeanor. And then suddenly, without warning...she ran straight for him!
In the event that something like this happened, the Overseer had each gladiator wear a special collar that prevented them from attempting escape. If they strayed too far from the coliseum, the collar would release a toxin that would kill the victim in seconds. The Overseer could also activate an individual collar on command, as he would do now. But what the vile man didn't know, nor did Riho, is that when she was suppose to drop dead, her Magic awakened to a power that gave her the strength to fight through it! The Overseer's guards were impressive fighters on their own, yet they did not stand a chance in the face of their opponent. The man would beg for mercy as his head was removed from his shoulders mid-sentence. Thus, the coliseum was abruptly brought to a close; the audience fleeing in fear of being next to taste the mad woman's sword. Riho would toss the man's head aside before retrieving Ingrid's body; wrapping her up and carrying her outside of the city. She refused to leave her here or bury her body with the city's walls. In death, she would be free from this awful place...
Lone Mercenary
She must have carried Ingrid's body for miles until she arrived in a forest clearing. This seemed as good as place as any to lay her to rest. Marking her grave, she spared a few minutes paying her respects, staring at the freshly dug mound. There were no more tears to cry and in fact, Riho could not bring herself to feel much of anything. She felt so detached and alone; she had her freedom, but again, knew not what to do with it. In the days that followed, there was much for her to reflect on and figure out for herself. And in that period of time, the days of Insomnia came to mind. It was something she knew how to do well enough, so she ended up becoming a lone mercenary. But first, she sought out a means to quickly travel as traveling by foot so often meant constantly looking over her shoulder for "snipers". The mercenary got to work almost immediately, offering her services to small towns that needed help. Being a mercenary was not that much different from being a wizard that took jobs; however, a mercenary also took jobs that were considered "inappropriate" for mages. Whether that meant carrying out someone's vengeance or stealing something from someone else, Riho would take any job she felt comfortable doing. One such request had her robbing a heavily guarded grave for a priceless necklace. It was also where she found her treasured sword, the Queen's Blade. Not until after the deed was done did she discover the grave to belonged to a queen. She opted to lie low afterwards and also acquire more intel from her clientele for any future requests.
~Three years later - Age 26~ Riho came across a small town in shambles, its people terrified and reclusive to her approach. While she first thought it due to a bandit attack, she saw first hand what caused their fear. A large wyvern with glossy white scales flew overhead as it made its way to the mountains. The people called it White Shadow because it always cast a shadow over the entire town before attacking. For some reason, this monster had caught the attention of the mercenary and an offer to deal with it for them had come up. Heading up the mountains, she was anxiously preparing herself to fight a beast that was unlike any she'd seen before. The ensuing fight could be heard from that town as thunder in the mountains that lasted an entire day. At the break of dawn the following day, the townspeople would watch the wyvern weakly fly away with a broken horn, splotches of blood and battered wings. It was never seen again in this small town. As for Riho, she could not call it a victory, but a momentary truce. In the battle, she lost her left arm to the reptilian menace...and was losing blood fast. She vowed to find the White Shadow again and finish what they started; however, as she lost consciousness, it seemed more likely that his is where she'd die.
Unbeknownst to her, she had allies lying in wait to help her when she fell. She awoke in the dragon's lair, surprised to be patched up and greeted by familiar faces from Insomnia. Arturas was among them, somewhat bemused to see the young girl now a grown woman. How fate had driven Insomnia this way to deal with the wyvern themselves, but instead found someone else had beat them to it. Riho and Arturas caught up; the man quickly noticing she had not only matured on the outside but on the inside as well. Given what she went through, he was not at all surprised to see how she was now. But at this rate, she was surely going to get herself killed. He recommended she find comrades to help her, yet she was against the idea. She didn't want to rejoin Insomnia either- she felt fine doing things on her own, come what may. Before parting with Insomnia, Riho was given durable cloth from her home country for her to fashion into new clothes. With this, she could cut back on the serious injuries she sustains.
Reverie
~Two years later - Age 28~ In the years that followed, Riho had acquired a new arm to replace the one she lost. After learning of the Machias and their special ability, she severed someone else's arm for herself. The way she saw it, their arms were easily replaceable, unlike her own. However, she had no idea if it would work as she theorized, meaning she got lucky in that regard. As she was tinkering with her new prosthetic, news of Romageddon was a buzz in the air. Ever since she left that place five years ago, Riho made sure to steer clear of the place. However, the news was that the gladiators had taken over the city and it had become a dangerous place to visit. She had no ties to anyone in the arena and yet... The mercenary was back in Romageddon in the blink of an eye. Once there, she learned it was only a rumor, spread by the new Overseer and former nurse, Vasia. She wished to keep people away as the city was going a changing period. The former gladiators were assisting her in rebuilding the city and turning the coliseum into a less lethal sport. Some had found their place in this city, while others were still a little lost. Much to Riho's surprise, these lost gladiators praised and cheered for her when they saw her. Because of her actions, the rest of them were able to be freed as well and felt they owed her their lives. The woman was still very much against having comrades to help her...but subordinates was somewhat more manageable. So, Riho took the gladiators who pledged their allegiance to her under her command and the mercenary group, Reverie, was formed. Reverie would make Romageddon their headquarters while operating all over Alakitasia.
The Emperor's Shield
~Two years later - Age 30~ Reverie had become quite the infamous group, although they were helping more people than causing trouble. Things had quieted down in Riho's life, she would dare say it was peaceful, all things considered. She had made two more attempts in hunting the White Shadow, with less fatal results but a draw yet and still.
◆ Oᴛʜᴇʀ Iɴғᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ: ~ Riho is aware her younger sister is the Magic Council Chairwoman in Fiore. ~ She can't sing...at all... ~ Whenever discussions involving siblings comes up, she habitually touches her eye-flower. ~ Though most of her equipment is stolen, she had no idea their value until after the fact. ~ Riho learned her Main Magic, Yìzhì, from Arturas. Arturas learned this magic from his mentor who originated from Chainan. ~ Sword Magic was learned from the members of Insomnia. She was taught other weapons, but none but the sword favored her hands. ~ Blossom Magic was learned from watching Ingrid.
