【Kekkei Genkai】Kekkei Genkai (血継限界, Literally meaning: Bloodline Limit) are abilities passed down genetically within specific clans. It's possible for a shinobi to have more than one of these abilities. Kekkei genkai abilities that work via the user's eye are called dōjutsu. Other kekkei genkai include mixing one type of elemental chakra with another, creating a new one unique to the users, which is usually impossible for normal ninja, or other bodily manipulations that are usually unachievable by normal standards.
【General Overview】 Kekkei genkai and their related techniques cannot be taught to or copied by others. However, these techniques can be given to others. Dōjutsu, or other kekkei genkai isolated to a single organ, can be transplanted into the body of another, as was done with transferring Obito's Sharingan to Kakashi. Use of these organs requires much more chakra than someone born with the kekkei genkai. Chakra elements can also be passed down to people outside of the clan, such as Yamato being subjected to DNA re-modification by Orochimaru who wanted to acquire the Wood Release kekkei genkai. However, Yamato's skill in using it is not nearly as powerful as the originator Hashirama Senju, and the risk of such process was that Yamato was the only one of the sixty test subjects to survive.[1][2] Kabuto Yakushi managed to gain access to the Kaguya clan's Shikotsumyaku and Sakon and Ukon's Kekkei Genkai by transplanting their DNA into himself, creating a clone of the original wielders connected to his own body and using the abilities through that clone.[3] Some tailed beasts are also known to possess kekkei genkai and can pass them on to their respective jinchūriki, examples include Shukaku's Magnet Release and Kokuō's Boil Release.
Although kekkei genkai, despite its name, is usually genetically shared within a specific clan, sometimes it is unique to one person alone, and that even family relatives do not share it, such as the Wood Release and Shikotsumyaku. Yet other kekkei genkai seem to appear in individuals with no known relation, such as the Lava Release, which has appeared in ninja from Kirigakure, Iwagakure, Kumogakure and Amegakure in the anime and Magnet Release, which has appeared in ninja from both Kumogakure and Sunagakure, though these kekkei genkai are subject to variation in each village.
There is an advanced variant of kekkei genkai known as kekkei tōta, which is a combination of three different nature transformations.

[ Corrosive Vapour ] : Its exact acidity is controlled by the user and, because it is gaseous, it can rapidly fill confined areas. It is dangerous to enemies and allies alike, dissolving most substances after even brief exposure.
[ Boiling Steam ] : Steam generated by heating chakra to its boiling point is used by the user. The steam emanates from the user's body, either to melt their surroundings or propel them in a direction.

It allows the user to freely create and manipulate ice by simultaneously combining wind and water-based chakra. When the user releases their chakra, the surrounding vicinity becomes cold enough to cause snow to fall. The ice Haku creates is also extremely resistant to fire-based attacks, only melting slightly when coming into contact with Sasuke's flame

[ Gold Dust ] : Due to the conductive properties of gold, an alternating magnetic field can induce a current in it, which generates its own magnetic field. [ Magnetized Weaponry ] : When the shuriken come into contact with another object, the object becomes magnetised, making it an easier target by causing it to draw other magnetised weapons towards it. However, each time the magnetism is transferred, it weakens.

It is made up of techniques that mix earth-based chakra in one hand and water-based chakra in the other to create wood as well as various plants, from simple seeds to even flowering trees. Wood and plants can be produced from any surface, including the user's own body, as the user's chakra is literally converted into a source of life. Wood Release techniques are commonly affiliated with the Snake seal.

At its simplest, Wood Release allows the user to create wood, essentially converting their chakra into a source of life before, at it greatest, becoming mighty trees of various size and shape. Crystal Release (晶遁, Shōton, English TV: Crystal Style) is a rare nature that is comprised of the combination of Water, Earth & Wind release. Because of the requirements of three separate chakra natures, Crystal Release is noted as the second Kekkei Tota.
Users of Crystal Release can convert any matter into crystal, from physical material to moisture in the air, allowing them to turn anything into a weapon. This extends to other physical natures, rendering earth, water, and wood useless against it. When used on living creatures, targets can be crystallized down to the cellular level, imprisoning them so long as the crystals are in place and shattering them if the crystals are struck, killing them. Crystal Release users can also manipulate pre-existing crystals and crystalline structures.
Crystal Release cannot crystalline raw energy or chakra, as they have no physical mass to crystalline, allowing those with good chakra control or the lightning or fire natures to counter it. Crystal Release is also susceptible to a specific sound wave frequency: because crystal requires a very precise build-up of molecules, the proper sound waves can break down the build-up before the crystal can properly form

Dust Release (塵遁, Jinton, Viz: Particle Style) is a nature transformation kekkei tōta, a combination of earth, wind, and fire. To perform Dust Release, users form a small three-dimensional object (e.g. a cube, a cone, etc.) out of chakra in their hands. The object expands once released by the user and moves astonishingly fast at its target; anything that passes through it (or that is passed through by it) is disintegrated on a molecular level. Because of the sheer destructiveness of Dust Release, its users are usually unmatched in a fight and they can easily fend off countless enemies. For this reason, the best way to combat one Dust Release user is with a second Dust Release user.
Dust Release techniques seem to require a certain amount of preparation time, making it possible to prematurely halt the technique before it is completed. The hands also play a crucial role in the preparation, so interfering with the user's arms can hinder the technique. Dust Release techniques seem to be rather chakra-taxing.
This technique can be manipulated into a diverse selection of three-dimensional structures, including cones, cylinders and cubes, with each retaining a sphere located at their centres. According to Ōnoki, the differences in shape demonstrated by the users of this technique is reflective of the generational gap between them

While in their smoke form the user becomes impervious to damage and can use this trait to gain an opportunity in battle, for example by allowing weapons to slip through them without any effects. However, if needed, they can still interact with physical objects.

In their smoke form, they're also capable of entering a person's body, effectively possessing them. While taking someone over, they're capable of controlling their physical actions and experiencing all of their sensations, such as tasting the food they eat. The user is equally rarely able to control the full extent of their abilities, resulting in their subconscious regulating that power, leading to the creation of a second personality in control of that power. Users usually use this ability to share the same body but can also use it to merge with the bodies of others and destroy the host's cells from the inside. Ideally with someone from the same bloodline, users can join the same body to make force of damage must more powerful than originally intended. This ability is quite strong and resourceful as since the user can utilize targets or other bloodline's limbs for both offensive and defensive purposes.
After separation, should any injury befall either of the users, they can merge with each other to heal. This way, their healing rate is much faster than that of a normal human's, though it depletes a large amount of chakra.
