Rin always supports his friends and tries to encourage them whenever they seem down on themselves. He also has a soft-spot for animals. People say that he is clueless sometimes- something that is likely a result of the boy's upbringing. Other words used to describe him are naive, immature, and headstrong. Rin prefers to spend his time doing things he sees as productive, which made it simultaneously easy and difficult for him to be taught Ice Devil Slaying Magic. There are times, however, that Rin falls unnervingly quiet, often thinking about the past and his supposed heritage.

╯Ｂio: Rin had a very sporadic childhood. He was passed around from orphanage to orphanage because nobody wanted to take care of him. The reason for this was kept from him, with his only hint being people that called him “monster” or “demon.” He had been born to a woman shunned by her secluded village for practicing what they deemed “dark arts” but was really nothing more than magic. She died a year after giving birth to Rin, resulting in his orphanage situation.
The name calling would get to Rin once in a while, but the real pain came from not having any friends. None of the other kids wanted to befriend him because of the way the adults treated him. His violent streaks were not helpful either. Not matter how hard he tried, he was always alone, crying on the inside. The only things that didn’t seem to fear or hate him were the animals.
It wasn’t until the age of 7 that everything changed for the better. Rin was enduring one of his usual punishments by his current orphanage headmaster, being left out in the rain and snow during a particularly cold winter night with little to keep him warm. The other children were inside eating their supper while the headmaster made him watch from a distance. It was at that point that a mysterious man wandered up to him. The dire circumstances of the boy angered him instantly and he loudly inquired about what was happening. The headmaster, of course, made up some lie about Rin and explained that he needed to be punished. The man didn’t buy his story, noticing Rin’s withdrawn demeanor and scrawny appearance. He decided to take the boy away from the place, smiling down at the boy and explaining that everything would be alright. Rin could only stare up at the man who was actually acknowledging him in a pleasant way. The headmaster did everything he could to deter the man from the idea, slapping the boy across the face in the process. This only served to incense the man further who threatened the idiot with his own brand of violence. It was then that the greatest shock of Rin's entire life was uttered. The man who had stood up for him was, in fact, his father whom was feared dead. Unforeseen circumstances kept him away from his wife and child for years. It was only recently, after feverishly searching for them since his return, that he was told of the tragedy of his wife's passing. As such, Daisuke Fullbuster would be taking his son and providing him the love he always desired.
From that day onward, Rin was one of the happiest boys around. It wasn’t long afterwards that he began learning Ice Devil Slayer Magic and Fire Magic. Rin is now proficient in both and has lots of friends.

- Rin has a natural affinity towards fire due, in part, to his heritage. However, he honors his paternal grandfather's teachings as well. As such, he has managed to combine elements of both into his fighting style.
- Rin is technically heir to the throne of Alvarez due to the fact that its founding emperor, Zeref, is his great uncle.
- Rin's mother was assassinated under orders from the current ruler of Alvarez. The assassins disguised the murder as a death caused by dark magic. Although, they couldn't bring themselves to kill Rin so they took him to the orphanage, bribing the headmaster to keep the boy secret and out of the way.
- Rin's uncle, Ignia, was not aware of these events until much later, when the boy was already rescued from the orphanage by his father. This was because he was on a 100 year mission and out of communication reach.

» Ice Devil Force | Ultimate (S+): When a Devil Slayer enters Devil Force, they effectively turn into a humanoid Devil, gaining horns along with a strange appearance which depends mainly on a single devil their element is based off of. (Make it in customs). Devil Force is the final, most powerful state a Devil Slayer can attain; granting them power comparable to that which a real Devil possesses: the power to utterly destroy everything. Devil Force greatly increases the damage done by standard Devil Slayer spells, and grants the user access to more advanced, powerful attacks. It also drastically enhances the user's physical prowess, making them far stronger, more resistant to damage, and faster, and considerably boosts their Magic Power, which becomes visible, taking the appearance of a Devil. When exuded at its fullest, said Magic Power takes on a violent corporeality, likely as a result of the immense amount of Magic power employed.
» Dual Element Mode | Ultimate (S+): Rin is able to consume the elements of Fire or Water in addition to his natural element of Ice. These elements combine inside of his body, enabling him to use the properties of both, as well as increasing his destructive capabilities. However, the drawback of utilizing dual elements is that it completely exhausts him after each usage.
» Ice Devil's Zeroth Twin Blades | Advanced (S): An advanced form of the Zeroth Long Sword. After first creating the long sword, Rin unsheathes his katana and encases it in bright blue flames. He utilizes both weapons at the same time, delivering an initial strike with his fire sword to further incapacitate the opponent before delivering a finishing blow with his Zeroth long sword. The combined force of the attack is enough to cause severe damage to the target and to the immediate surrounding area. Range: 0-50 feet. Duration: 4 posts
» Ice Devil's Zeroth Destruction Bow | Advanced (A): Rin creates an intricate bow made of ice and charges it with an ice arrow that is fired at the target at high speeds. Once the arrow makes contact with its target, it turns into a spiky array of ice. Range: 100 feet. Duration: 1 post
» Ice Devil's Rage | Basic (A): After inhaling, Rin releases a large blue blizzard of cold air, ice and snow from his mouth, directing it towards an area of his choosing. » Ice-Make Unlimited: One Sided Chaotic Dance | Advanced (S): Utilizing the usual Ice-Make stance, Kaya begins to emit ice from her palm. With remarkable shaping speed, she creates a vast amount of swords and axes that are all made of ice in various shapes and sizes. These weapons are connected by a large chain of ice that spirals around her several times, with the blades pointing outwards. Kaya then swings one arm forward and the other backwards, sending the large chain of weapons towards the target and freezing the area around them. Range: 0-145 feet. Duration: 2 posts
» Ice-Make: Rampart | Advanced (S): Rin forms a massive wall of ice that is capable of stopping any opponent in their tracks. The downside to this spell is that it consumes a large amount of magic power. Range: 1000 feet (height and width). Duration: 4 posts (unless dispelled or overpowered)
» Ice Blade: Seven Slice Dance | Basic (A): After creating sharp blades made of ice on his arms, Rin rapidly slashes his enemy seven times. » Ice-Make: Super Freeze Arrow | Basic (A): By using Ice-Make: Ice Geyser, Rin can reach to a high point to shoot his arrow. After the shot, the speed of the arrow increases with gravity and air pressure, grievously wounding the enemy. Range: 300 feet. Duration: 1 post
» SIce-Make: Ice Geyser | Basic (A): Using uses both hands to freeze the ground in front of him, Rin creates a single tower of ice spikes that can impale opponents. The down side to this technique is that the sphere loses its hardness the farther away it gets from Rin until it eventually shatters, freeing the trapped individual. » Ice-Make: Floor | Basic (B): A spell in which Rin slams a hand on the floor, creating a slippery layer of ice over it. He can also freeze the surfaces of bodies of water with this spell and slide on the resultant floor. Additionally, this technique can be used to immobilize targets by freezing their legs. » Red Carpet | Basic (B): A spell in which the flames take on unique properties, becoming solid, flexible and seemingly harmless. The flames are then turned into a small blaze which grows larger and larger and begins to spiral around Rin, who proceeds to stand on the flames' tip. The flames, now much larger, act as a mean of transportation, allowing him to fly by standing on them. At such a point, the fire takes on the shape of a fierce, flexible "column", or- as befitting the spell's name- an unconventional red carpet.
